Jesus is Lord of all!

Jesus is Lord of all.  Jesus is part of the Holy Trinity.  GOD the FATHER, GOD the Son and GOD the Holy Spirit.  Nothing is impossible for GOD.  Nothing is impossible for Jesus.  They created everything we see.  Everything we know and everything we are was created by GOD.

So when we face life's problems, we have to know and to realize that we have our GOD on our side and GOD can do everything and anything.

Let us get onto GOD's side and let us get to know our GOD.  Let us read HIS word daily.  Let us talk to GOD daily and about everything.  GOD loves us and HE wants the very best for all of us.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER I thank YOU that YOU are the most powerful, awesome gracious FATHER that I can have.  I thank YOU for YOUR love and I thank YOU for YOUR grace.

FATHER today I pray that YOU will heal all my friends who are ill.  I pray that YOU will help those who need YOUR help.  FATHER I thank YOU for YOUR guidance in my life.  Show me where I can make a difference in the lives of others.

I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour. Amen.

The good Shepherd!

Jesus is our GOOD SHEPHERD! Indeed, He laid down His life so that we might live.  He has not left one of us behind.  Each one of us is offered salvation if we will but accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour.  We need to know GOD and we need to know Jesus in order for us to accept this enormous sacrifice that they have made so that we might live with them in eternity.

Each one of us is chosen.  Each one of us is unique and each one of us is loved by GOD.  So today, let us accept this Shepherd and beg His FATHER to forgive us for our sins.  Let us turn away from evil and look to our GOOD SHEPHERD.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for sending Jesus Christ to my Saviour.  I accept Jesus as YOUR Son and my Saviour.  Forgive my sins as I forgive all those who have sinned against me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Armour of GOD

As Children of the LIVING GOD, we are required to turn the other cheek more than seventy-seven times.  However,  we are so well protected.

GOD has given us the belt of truth to wear around our waists.

HE has given us the breastplate of righteousness.  We are children of a gracious, loving, forgiving GOD.  

We have the gospel of peace and the shield of faith.  We have a helmet of salvation and the sword of the Holy Spirit which is the word of GOD.

What more can we need?  Nothing.  Therefore let us as Children of the Living GOD, know that GOD knows who attacks and why and what they are doing.  We do not have to do anything to our enemies except love them and forgive them.  For one day they will face our truly awesome GOD who is so much bigger than they could ever imagine.  And they will explain why they have persecuted people who are children of the Living CREATOR GOD, the ONLY GOD who sent HIS Son to die for our sins.  

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER GOD, YOU who shows us grace and mercy.  We accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.  We ask that YOU forgive our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.  We say this in the Holy Name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Go and make Disciples!

We are required to go and teach the nations about Jesus.  That is our purpose and our calling.  We are required to spread the word so that all may have the opportunity to spend eternity with our FATHER in Heaven.

Today let us resolve to tell at least one person this week about the goodness and mercy of our wonderful GOD that we serve. Let us ask people to take Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour so that they may have a chance at eternal life.

Let us do this in the Name of the FATHER and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.  

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER thank YOU for the opportunity to serve YOU.  FATHER send me out to spread the good news in YOUR Name.  I pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Jesus is Risen!

Jesus is risen!  How wonderful is our GOD.  Jesus conquered death and sin.  In one act of selflessness, Jesus gave us a way to get to spend eternal life with our FATHER in Heaven.  We became heirs with Jesus when He rose from the dead.

Let us praise and worship our GOD, who gives us grace and peace.  Let us celebrate the Risen Christ and the FATHER who sacrificed His Son so that we might be freed from the chains of sin.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER I thank YOU that Christ conquered the cross and death.  I thank YOU for the hope that this gives me that I might have eternal life with YOU.  FATHER forgive my sins as I forgive all those who sin against me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Joseph buries Jesus

Jesus Buried

John 19:38-42

38 Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jewish leaders. With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away. 39 He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night. Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds.[a] 40 Taking Jesus’ body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen. This was in accordance with Jewish burial customs. 41 At the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had ever been laid. 42 Because it was the Jewish day of Preparation and since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.

We cannot imagine the fear that Joseph and Nicodemus  felt.  Asking Pilate for the body of Jesus.  Oh would that we had the courage of this man!

Jesus was dead.  The disciples were all afraid that they might be persecuted in the same manner.  And Jesus had not yet risen to fulfil the Scripture.  The earth had shaken.  The sun had darkened for three full hours.  People must have really been scared.  The temple curtain had torn in two from top to bottom.  It is really difficult to imagine the tension and fear.

Now this man, Joseph of Arimathea steps up to the plate and asks for the body to bury it.  And he buries Jesus in the tomb that he had purchased for his own use!  Nicodemus aids him and anoints the body with spices and they wrap Jesus in the burial cloths.  They roll a large stone in front of the tomb and leave.  Jesus is dead! And this earth will never be the same again! 

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER grant me the same courage in spreading the gospel as this man Joseph, had.  Grant me the ability to overcome any fear that I may have when I talk to people who do not believe.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

It is finished!

Jesus finished His mission on earth.  He had to come to earth as a man and live a life that was blameless and sinless.  No transgression did He commit.  However, we crucified Him with our sinful ways.  The only way to redemption was for Him to take our sins onto a cross and to die for us.  We are washed clean with His blood.

Today, dwell on how Jesus loves each one of us.  Let us celebrate Easter with the knowledge that we are chosen, redeemed and cherished.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER I thank YOU for Jesus.  I thank YOU for YOUR grace and for YOUR forgiveness.  

I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Greater Love hath no man!

When we think about Jesus, we think of Him as supernatural.  But Jesus was a man on earth.  Yes He had supernatural powers.  But He was a Human Being.  Born of a woman and raised just like you and I.  

Therefore the night before His crucifixion, must have been so harrowing.  As He shared the last supper with His disciples, He knew that He was going to be tortured and put to death.  But nevertheless, He washed their feet and ate supper with them.

What an ordeal He suffered for you and me.  That He should lay down His life for me is sometimes unbearable.  What sins we have committed and how often we have had to beg GOD to forgive us.

Today let us dwell on the immense sacrifice Jesus has made in order for us to be saved and let us worship our MIGHTY GOD!

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER thank YOU that YOUR Son laid down His life for a sinner like me.  Thank YOU for YOUR grace and for YOUR forgiveness.  FATHER I love YOU and I worship YOU.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

Stay humbly GOD blessed today!

Before we were born, we were chosen by GOD!

As we approach Easter, we should dwell on the way GOD loves each one of us.  Do we love one another enough to die for each other?

GOD, our HOLY FATHER in Heaven loves us so very much.  Could we send our children out to die for our sins?  Could we send our children out to die for the sins of others?

GOD did this.  So let us turn away from our selfish ways and consider the enormous love of GOD for us.  Let us think about the grace we have if we just accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.  We are then children of the Living GOD.  We accept HIS love and we accept HIS grace.

We cannot earn HIS love.  We cannot do good works to get HIS grace.  All we need to do is accept Jesus is our Saviour.  We need to accept that GOD is the ONLY GOD who sent HIS Son to die for us and to rise from the dead and this so that we can have eternal life. 

NO OTHER GOD DID THIS.  So when people tell you that we all worship the same GOD.  Do not be deceived.   If their God did not send his son to die for our sins, we are not serving the same GOD.  

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER GOD, I love YOU and I worship YOU.  I bow down before YOU.  FATHER heal my family and heal my friends.  Help them through all the difficulties that they are facing today.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

Jesus our Salvation!

Our hope is in Jesus.  There simply is no other way.  We can think about doing good works.  We can think about forgiveness.  We can think about giving to charities or even of working for charities.  All of this is nothing without our faith in the salvation of Jesus.

Jesus brings us life.  Jesus brings us hope.  Jesus brings us truth.  Jesus brings us the way.

Today let us turn to our Saviour.  Let us turn our gaze to the Heavens from whence cometh our help.  Our help comes from GOD who created Heaven and Earth.  HE created each one of us.  He loves us and He wants all of us to be saved.

Let us go out today and live the Gospel.  Let us shout it from the rooftops and proclaim to all that through Jesus we are saved.  We have to do nothing except accept Jesus.  Let us do that today.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER I thank YOU for Jesus.  I thank YOU for YOUR enormous grace.  I thank YOU for the way to spend an eternity with YOU through my belief in YOUR Son Jesus Christ.  

I pray all of this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

Stay graciously GOD given today.  

A new earth!

GOD told Isaiah that HE will create new heavens and a new earth.  That is what we have to look forward to if we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour.  The new earth.  

Imagine a world without wars, without pestilence.  Without disease.  Without worries about money, or security or where we will live or what we will eat.  That will be our new earth.

How can we get there?

Only through the grace of GOD.  Accept Jesus Christ today.  Beg GOD to forgive our sins and forgive all those who have sinned against us.  It really is that simple.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and mercy.  FATHER Forgive my sins as I forgive all those who have sinned against me.  FATHER I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

Hope in Jesus!

Through our faith in Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we have hope.  Hope for a life of being loved unconditionally by our Saviour.  Hope for an eternity that we will spend with our Saviour.  Hope that our sins are forgiven.  Hope that our prayers are heard.  Hope that we are constantly topped up with the Holy Spirit.  Hope that the Comforter is with us all the time.  Hope that GOD is our FATHER.   Hope that we are wanted, loved and cared for by our Creator.

Therefore the best thing about being a child of GOD is the hope that we have!

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and for YOUR love.  I thank YOU for the hope that I have in YOU.  I pray all of this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

Faith!

Faith grows.  The more we have faith, the more faith we have.  Faith produces a kind of calm that transcends all understanding.

When we truly put our faith in GOD above, our lives start to change.  Small changes at first, but the more faith we exercise, the more the Holy Spirit fills us and the more calm we experience.

So today let us exercise our faith.  How can we do this?  Read the word of GOD.  Listen to word of GOD.  Talk about GOD and talk to GOD.  Our faith will grow.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR Holy Spirit that fills me with YOUR grace and YOUR peace.  FATHER today, grant that I may grow in my faith.  I humbly ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

The Good Shepherd!

The Good Shepherd lays down His life for His sheep.  For even one sheep, the Shepherd will leave His flock and go and search for that sheep.

So Jesus laid down His life for each and every one of us.  No matter who we are or how small and insignificant we think we are, the fact is, Jesus died for us. 

He suffered on the cross.  He suffered when He was flogged.  He suffered when He knew that He was innocent of all the crimes that He was accused of.  He suffered for you and me.  We were so important to Him.

That then is how we are to treat each other as well.  To see each other in the same light that Jesus saw and still sees us.  With love and in humility.

Today let us draw close to our Lord and our Saviour.  Jesus Christ.  

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU that YOU love me.  I thank YOU that YOUR Son Jesus Christ died to save me from me sins.  I thank YOU for giving me salvation.  I pray all of this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and my Saviour. Amen.

Jesus our Salvation

Jesus has paid the full price for our sins. There is absolutely nothing that we can do to achieve salvation.  We only have to accept the Truth of Jesus being the Son of GOD and that He lived on earth, was crucified and rose again.  When we accept that Jesus is truly our Lord and our Saviour, we are saved.

The Holy Spirit is poured out on all those who believe in Him.  

The Holy Spirit convicts us to show us our lives as in a mirror.  Suddenly we know where we sinned and where we have not forgiven those who have sinned against us.  It is a true rebirth of ourselves.  We are made anew in Jesus.

Therefore today, I urge you, accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour.  Repent and forgive.

Prayer;  FATHER, today I pray for the people reading this accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.  FATHER, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour.  FATHER forgive my sins as I forgive all those who have sinned against me.  I pray this in the Holy Name  of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

The LORD GOD can heal our land!

GOD can heal our land.  As Christians if we will humble ourselves and pray and seek the face of GOD and turn from our wicked ways, then GOD will hear us from Heaven.  HE will forgive our sins and heal our land.  

We are in such a state of despair about the state of the world.  Particularly in South Africa, we are facing corruption on such a huge scale that we often do not know where it starts and where it ends.  

However there is hope in GOD.  GOD can heal our land completely.  If we have the will to do what GOD says, our land will be healed.  It will take a concerted effort, but it can be done.  GOD can resolve Brexit and HE can resolve the Middle Eastern wars.  GOD can resolve the Mexican border crisis, the Venezuelan issue and many other issues facing us.  

We need to surrender fully to GOD as a nation.  Can we do this?  With GOD all things are possible.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I know that YOU can do anything.  I trust that YOU can heal our land and all the lands on earth.  LORD give us a heart to turn to YOU.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

I am the LORD who heals you!

GOD tells us to listen to HIM.  GOD tells us to do what is right in HIS eyes.  GOD tells us to pay attention to all HIS commands.  We are to keep all HIS decrees.  Then GOD promises to heal us.

Our Country is so ill at the moment.  The whole world is so ill at the moment.  There are so many people who are ill.  And GOD promises us that HE is able to heal us.  What we need to do if we are ill and wish to be healed is to do exactly what HE tells us.

We need to listen for HIS voice and then follow HIS commands.  

Today let us make a concerted effort to do right.  To listen to GOD and to keep all HIS decrees.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU that YOU have the grace to heal me and this land and this world and the people who are ill.  FATHER speak to all who are ill and tell them what YOU want them to do.  FATHER I thank YOU for YOUR grace and YOUR favour.  I thank YOU for YOUR blessings on my life.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Jesus - The Way, The Truth and the Life!

Jesus is the Way.  Jesus is the Truth and Jesus is the Life.  In other words, through His life, Jesus showed us the Truth.  And He gave us a chance at an eternal life through the belief that He is the Son of GOD who conquered death.  When Jesus rose from the dead, in a body like ours, He became the life that we can all have - eternally.

Today let us embrace this ENORMOUS GRACE OF GOD.  For GOD loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus to live on the earth.  As we live.  To die on a cross after being tortured.  And then His Son conquered death.  So too can we, through this grace of GOD conquer death and have life eternal with GOD in Heaven.

How can we get there?  Not through good works or being nice or loving everybody.  Only through our faith in the Son of GOD, are we saved.  Good works and loving are fruits of the Holy Spirit poured out on us when we accept the Truth of Jesus.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER I thank YOU so much for YOUR Grace in sending Jesus to be my Lord and Saviour.  Today I accept Jesus as my Saviour.  Forgive me for my sins.  Forgive those who sin against me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen. 

Stay eternally GOD blessed today.  

GOD with us!

GOD is with us.  No matter if we believe it or not.  GOD does not forsake us.  We forsake GOD.  HE is always there.  We take HIS silence as a sign that HE is not present.  That is not true.  If GOD is silent, it is we are who not listening to HIM. 

So how can we hear GOD?  Through reading HIS word.  Through talking to other Christians.  By going to Church and then just walking out and looking at the stars at night. By taking a walk in our gardens and listening to the birds in the trees.  GOD is everywhere.  HE is Omniscient.  HE is Omnipotent.  And lastly HE is Omnipresent. 

Let us today listen for the word of our FATHER in Heaven.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER in Heaven, I thank YOU for YOUR presence in my life.  FATHER talk to me today.  I am listening.  I love YOU and I adore YOU, ABBA FATHER.  I pray all of this in the Holy Name of my Lord and my Saviour.  Jesus Christ.  Amen.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

This is the book of love.  It is so beautiful.  It always makes me think of the nature of GOD and of Jesus.  They are love and they are exactly what this book talks about.

If only we could be like this?  How perfect this world would be.  There would be no war, no dissension, no jealousy, no anger. It would be like Heaven.  And this is what I imagine Heaven to be like.

Today let us aspire to live these verses.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR love.  I humbly ask that YOU give me this kind of love FATHER.  Show me how to live like this.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

Nothing is impossible for GOD!

Our GOD is so great.  I always think about that absolutely beautiful Hymn, How great THOU art!.  It sums it all up so beautifully.  I have decided that today we should just well upon the words of that Hymn.  Originally written as a poem by  Carl Boberg (1859–1940) in Mönsterås, Sweden in 1885

I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
