God alone!

When we depend on GOD only, then we are in good hands.  When we rely on ourselves or those around us, we are truly in trouble.  Our efforts are feeble and people have a habit of letting us down.

GOD is Sovereign and HE is always there for us.  GOD never fails us even when we do not see it.  GOD is with us and we are in HIS Hands.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER I thank YOU that I can always depend on YOU alone.

In the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The light of this World - Jesus!

GOD works in mysterious ways and HIS ways are known only to HIM.  However Jesus is the light of the world and where there is light, there is no longer darkness.

Let us always look to the light and let us stay away from the darkness.  This is often easier said than done.  However with the Holy Spirit and with GOD and with Jesus, nothing is impossible.

Therefore today go towards the light and leave the darkness behind.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, today I pray that YOU lead me to the light.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD is our CREATOR

GOD is our CREATOR.  GOD has created everything and we should go down on our knees and thank HIM for everything we are, everything we have and everything on earth.

Just think about the air we breathe, the water and food we drink, the day and the night.  All created for our comfort by our awesome GOD in Heaven.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are my CREATOR.  I thank YOU for everything on earth.  I thank YOU in the name of my Lord and my Saviour, Jesus Christ.   Amen.

Jesus our Saviour

Consider the fact that when we accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour, we become heirs of GOD with Him.

What a glorious thought.  Today, let us choose life and choose Jesus to be our Lord and our Saviour.

Prayer;  FATHER, I cry out to YOU.  I accept Jesus as my Lord and my Saviour.  I beg YOU humbly to forgive my sins as I forgive all those who sin against me.

Into the light!

GOD gives us the light to shine in the darkness. That light is Jesus.  

Today let us not be deceived, for those things which have been hidden are made known to us.  It is not the fault of the deceiver that they have deceived.  It is our reaction to the news that we have been deceived.

Dear reader.  There is only one GOD.  There is only one Jesus and there is only one Holy Spirit.  These three make up the triune GOD.  GOD in three persons.  GOD the FATHER, GOD the Son and GOD the Holy Spirit.

When we realize that we have not known the truth, and we then discover the truth, know this.  The Truth shall set you free. 

So today, I implore you all.  Study the Scriptures and measure everything you are told against this.  Do not try to interpret the Scriptures or do not try to take things out of context.  There is only one truth and that is the Word of GOD.

Jesus is our Lord and Saviour.  No one will come to the FATHER except through Jesus.  Accept this and choose life eternal or dismiss this and choose death and Hell.

Prayer;  Heavenly FATHER, YOU indeed are my light and my truth.  YOUR Son Jesus is the way to YOU.  There is no other way.  Jesus lived on earth, He was crucified.  He died on the cross and was buried.  In Human form, He rose on the third day and forty days after that, He ascended into Heaven.  He sits at YOUR right Hand.  

Tonight, FATHER, in YOUR enormous grace,  I beg YOU FATHER, forgive my sins as Jesus died to save me from these sins.   FATHER grant me the wisdom to forgive all those who sin against me.

I pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and my Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD provides!

GOD provides us with everything we need according to HIS glorious riches in Christ.  

What a powerful statement.  But then, we need to remember that our FATHER is all powerful.  GOD is Almighty.  GOD is all seeing and all knowing.

GOD gave us the whole earth and what we do with it is up to each one of us. 

Today let us see what GOD wants from us and let us talk to GOD and listen to HIS voice.

This is our purpose in life.  To follow what GOD wants from us with what HE has given us.  

Prayer:  FATHER today show me where YOU want me and show me what YOU want from me.  I pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Children - a Gift from GOD

Every person on earth is a gift from GOD.  Whether we know this or acknowledge this or not, it is so.

Therefore today let us celebrate life and love and each other.  Let us tell each other how much we love one another.  Let us cherish our children as GOD cherishes each one of us.

Let us draw close to our FATHER in Heaven and tell HIM how much we love HIM and how much HE means to us. 

If we have parents who are still alive let us cherish them and tell them that we are grateful to GOD for them.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER I thank YOU for the gift of life, and love and each other.  I thank YOU for YOUR enormous grace and YOUR love for me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus wept!

We serve a GOD who created us.  But more than that, we serve a GOD with feelings and compassion and love.

This is clearly expressed in the verse above.  When Jesus heard that Lazarus had died, He wept.

So, too, I believe that when we are sinful or suffering, GOD has enormous emotional feelings towards us.  

We should know that any emotion we feel, came from our CREATOR FATHER.  Therefore, when we are sad, we should know that our FATHER in Heaven, weeps with us.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU made me in YOUR image and that YOU share my emotions.  I pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Freedom in the Holy Spirit

When we accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour, we are filled with the Holy Spirit.  And through this infilling of the Holy Spirit, we are set free from our sins. 

However, we need to accept Jesus, and when we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we are convicted of our sins.  Therefore, we need to accept responsibility and acknowledge our sins to GOD.  We need to beg GOD to forgive us through HIS grace.  This is freely given and we cannot earn it or get it through good deeds or good works

There is no way to get to GOD and an eternal life with HIM without acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour. 

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU have given us YOUR enormous grace.  Thank YOU and today I accept Jesus as my Lord and my Saviour.  Please FATHER, forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Alpha and the Omega - our GOD!

Our FATHER in Heaven.  That is our GOD.  Our GOD is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.  GOD was our CREATOR.

Let us never make GOD too small.  GOD is awesome, powerful.  GOD is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent.

So today let us "right size" our FATHER and know that we are nothing without HIM.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are my all in all.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.   My Lord and my Saviour.  Amen.

GOD will heal us!

Sometimes we are ill.  Sometimes we are just wounded.  Whatever our circumstances, if we trust in GOD and if we have faith as small as a mustard seed, we can be healed.

Therefore, today, if we find ourselves in need of healing, we need to draw close to our FATHER in Heaven.  We need to read HIS word and listen to HIS voice.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I pray in Jesus Holy Name that YOU will heal me. I beg YOU FATHER, forgive my sins as I forgive those who have sinned against me.

I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Hope in GOD

GOD gives us hope.  Without hope there is very little to live for.  If our future is unsure and we have problems and strife, then our hope is diminished accordingly.

However, if we have faith that this life is but transient, and that we are going to spend eternity with Jesus and GOD, then indeed, it is all worthwhile. 

We need to learn lessons on earth and we need to grow spiritually.  We learn the most in times of trouble.  Therefore let us rejoice always in our trials.  Knowing that our hope is in GOD, who loves us!

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, all my hope is in YOU.  In Jesus' Name.  Amen.

May GOD fill us with hope, peace and joy!

GOD gives us hope when we are at peace with HIM.  We have hope that one day we will spend eternity with HIM.  HE gives us hope of peace on earth and joy.

Therefore today let us fill ourselves with the GOD of hope.  Let us accept Jesus and let us ask to be filled again with the Holy Spirit.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, today fill me with YOUR hope.  I pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ, my Saviour.  Amen.

GOD is good!

Our GOD is good and best of all, HIS love endures forever!  Let us love our GOD with the same goodness.  Let us draw close to GOD today and let us talk to HIM as we would like to be spoken to by our FATHER and in the same way we would like to converse.

Let our prayers not just be requests, but let us tell GOD what we are doing, what we are planning to do and what our fears, our hopes, our dreams are.

Let us fill our days with prayer to GOD about everything going on in our lives.  Let us listen for HIS voice and let us hear HIM talking to us.  We can do this by reading our Bibles daily and looking for messages and angels sent by GOD to tell us where we need to go and what we need to do.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER I love YOU and I thank YOU for Jesus my Lord and my Saviour.  Amen.

GOD is faithful!

GOD is faithful.  Therefore we know that we can trust our FATHER with all our problems.  We can trust HIS word and we can trust HIS Son.  We can trust the Holy Spirit.

Let us read the word of GOD today and delight in the faithfulness of our FATHER in Heaven.  We know that HE loves us when all else seems so fickle.  When this world disappoints us, we know that GOD wants a better life for us all.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, thank YOU for YOUR faithfulness.  In Jesus Holy Name .  Amen.

The love of GOD for each one of us!

We need to remind ourselves that we are children of the ALMIGHTY GOD.  We are loved by our FATHER in Heaven.  So much so, that HE sent HIS Son Jesus Christ to live on earth and to walk among us. 

Jesus lived on earth as you and I live on earth.  The only difference was that Jesus was and is GOD.  Jesus was with GOD in the beginning.  But the only way to save us and to give us eternal life was to come to earth and to pay for our sins on a cross with His blood.

Therefore when we know and accept this Truth, we become heirs with Jesus in the eternal life.

Today let us accept our role as children of GOD.  Let us draw close to our FATHER and let us talk to HIM about everything.  Let us share everything we think, say and do with HIM who loves us so very much.

Prayer;  Heavenly FATHER, I love YOU and I thank YOU for Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Saviour.  Amen.

We are loved by GOD!

GOD is faithful to us.  I read a beautiful story this week sent out as a devotional by a Church very dear to my heart.  The minister was told by a congregant that he could not find GOD.

The minister pointed out to the congregant that GOD has, in fact, never been lost. 

When we feel far from GOD, we should know that it is us who have moved away from GOD.  GOD will never leave us or forsake us.

Therefore, if today we feel far from GOD, let us move in HIS loving arms and reach out and hug HIM.  HE wants us in HIS hands.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are always near me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The truth shall set you free!

Jesus is the truth.  There is simply no other way.  If we do not believe in Jesus as the risen Son of GOD, the Son who died and rose from the dead so that we could have forgiveness, then we are living a lie. 

If we do not believe that Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin mother, we are living a lie.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the light.  Jesus is the life and Jesus is the truth and knowing the truth will set us free from the sin we are born into.

Today choose life!

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I believe that Jesus is the truth, the life and and the way to YOU.  I believe that Jesus died for my sins on a cross and rose again and sits at YOUR right Hand and that my faith in that will set me free.  Therefore, today FATHER I confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord and my Saviour.  I humbly ask that YOU forgive my sins as I forgive all those who have sinned against me.  Amen.

Sola Scriptura

Our GOD gives us HIS word.  We can read in John 1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.:

Our Jesus was and is the word.  The Bible is not a random collection of stories.  It is GOD breathed and it is the truth.  Jesus is the Truth.  Jesus is the Light.  Jesus is the Life and Jesus is the Way.

Anyone who disputes that the Bible is the word, disputes Jesus and therefore is not a child of GOD.  You simply cannot have it both ways.

Therefore today, let us accept, unequivocally the word of GOD.  Let us read it and know it.  Let us stand up for it and let us be counted as true children of GOD.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR Word, Jesus Christ.  I thank YOU for my Bible and I thank YOU that YOU are my FATHER.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and my Saviour. Amen.

GOD has you in the palm of HIS hand!

GOD has you in the palm of HIS hand.  And as our GOD is so awesome and so great, we are indeed, in very good HANDS. 

Therefore, today, let us leave all our problems behind us.  Let us draw close to our GOD.  Let us lean our heads on HIS amazing chest and let us let our troubles leave us.

Pray to GOD.  Talk to GOD and then listen for the sound of HIS voice.  For surely, HE is talking and if we are not hearing, then it is time for us to be still and that know that HE is LORD indeed!

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, in YOU I place my trust.  In YOU I rest my head and know that YOU are GOD and LORD of all.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Talk to GOD about everything!

When we are anxious, it is an indication that we are not trusting in GOD.  When we are anxious, what we need to do is to talk to GOD and tell HIM what we are feeling anxious about.  We need to thank GOD for all our blessings first, though and then ask GOD to help us with our troubles.

Today let us resolve not to be worried about anything,  Let us resolve to thank GOD for our blessings, big and small and then let us talk to our Heavenly FATHER who loves us and who wants us to trust in HIM.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that I have YOU that I can talk to about everything.  Thank YOU for my blessings, big and small.  FATHER help me not to worry but to leave all my troubles in YOUR hands.  I pray this in the Name of my Lord and my Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.
