God with me!
Ever since I was a very small child, God has been with me. He has never let me down, although I am sad to say that I often let Him down.
Thank the Goodness and the Grace of our awesome Father, that He does not hold this against me. I want to share some of the awesome miracles that God has done in my life. In this page I will start as a young child and then move on to demonstrate how God has worked in my life and why I consider myself to be His Child.
I was a sickly child and I was allergic to absolutely everything. Had it not been for a Scottish doctor who arrived in a small coal mining town in what was then known as the Transvaal in South Africa, I would have died.
How is that for God's intervention! I was six months old and I was literally starving to death. My mother was unable to produce enough breast milk to feed me and had put me on to formula. All the formulas disagreed with me and I was not getting any nutrition. My parents were simple working folk and could not afford the immense strain that I was putting on the family budget as they tried different formulas. They were also staunch members of their Church and had met through their youth organisation.
Our family doctor met the new doctor in town and those days, they still did house calls. So he asked the young Scottish doctor, newly arrived in the town to come and see this child who was starving to death. All the formulas just passed straight through my digestive system completely undigested.
The Scottish doctor's middle son, a boy about a year older than me had been diagnosed with Coeliac disease in Scotland, and you guessed it. He immediately saw the same symptons in me. I was moved over to soya formula and I immediately began to thrive.
If that is not divine intervention, then I absolutely don't know what is!
I have always believed that God is my Father and He has a plan for my life!
