GOD's eyes are on the righteous!

How do we become righteous?  Only GOD can discern who is righteous and who is not.  But we can become slaves to the FATHER.

A slave is someone who has been bought and we have been bought with the blood of Jesus through and by the great love that our FATHER in Heaven has for each one of us.  GOD will never push us to follow HIM.  We have free will and we can do as we wish.

However, if we choose to love the FATHER with all our hearts, with all our souls, with all our strength and with all our might, we will know the enormous love of our FATHER in Heaven.

Today let us draw close and worship our FATHER.  GOD wants this close relationship with each one of us and it is up to us to accept HIS mighty outstretched arms.  

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, today I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour.  Forgive my sins as I forgive all those who sin against me.  FATHER draw me into your warm comforting embrace.  This I pray in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD will heal us!

GOD can do anything that we can imagine and anything that we cannot even imagine.

Our GOD is not a small GOD, our GOD is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipotent.  GOD is everywhere and GOD created everything including us.  

Today, let us give thanks to our FATHER in Heaven through our Saviour, Jesus Christ.  GOD is awesome, good, gracious and loving.  GOD loves us and wants the very best for each one of us.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, YOU are so good and so gracious.  In Jesus name.  Amen.

Trust in GOD!

When we trust in people on earth, we are bound to feel let down and disappointed.  Not only in the people who let us down, but in ourselves and our judgement, that we trusted them enough and that we were such poor judges of character.

However, when we trust in GOD, all that changes.  We know that our FATHER in Heaven is completely trustworthy.  HE keeps all HIS promises and HE will never leave us nor will HE ever forsake us.

So today let us put our trust in GOD and let us no longer lean on our own understanding.  By doing this we allow GOD to direct our paths.  And this leads to eternal happiness.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I pray today that I only put all my trust in YOU.  Direct my path through my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Eternal Life!

We can have eternal life "with our FATHER in Heaven" rather than spending eternity in hell if we will but accept Jesus as our Saviour.  We need to believe that GOD sent Jesus to be our living sacrifice to pay for our sins.

When Jesus was crucified, His blood shed on the cross purified us and sanctified us only if we believe this.  We need to believe that we are born sinful and that we can only be saved through the Grace of GOD.

The Grace of GOD is extended to us by faith.  When we confess with our mouths to GOD that Jesus is our Risen Lord and Saviour, we are saved.  We will be filled with the Holy Spirit.

GOD says that if we ask for wisdom we will also receive it.

Therefore today, let us draw close to our FATHER through our Saviour.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR enormous grace.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Unity with Jesus and GOD!

When we have Jesus in our lives and we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour, Then we become one with Jesus.  GOD is Jesus the Son and GOD is the FATHER, GOD is also the Holy Spirit, so we become one in the Holy Trinity.

This is a mystery, but it is profound and it is true.  Therefore, today let us accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour.  Let us be filled with the Holy Spirit and let us become one.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for the Holy Trinity and I ask that YOU fill me with YOUR Holy Spirit.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

GOD strengthens me!

When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we are filled with the Holy Spirit.  This infilling of the Holy Spirit strengthens us.  It becomes possible for us to cope with things that we did not believe possible. 

After all, our lifeguard in life walks on water!

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for Jesus in my life.  I thank YOU that through Jesus I can do anything.  I thank YOU in the Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

We are sanctified by the WORD!

When we read the book of John 1 verse 1, we read that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."  We know and we accept that the Word was Jesus.

Here again in John 17 verse 17 we read that Jesus asked GOD to sanctify us through the WORD.  The WORD being Jesus.  

We are made clean of our sins by the blood shed on the cross by Jesus.  We are given a chance to have eternal life, not through the shedding of the blood, but by Jesus overcoming death and arising from the dead, in Human Form and ascending into Heaven.

This all sounds very complicated, but it is not.  As sinners, (and we are all sinners, born into sin), we need to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour.  We need to accept that Jesus lived on earth, in Human Form, that He was born of a Virgin mother, that He was crucified (paid for our sins through the shedding of His blood on the cross) and then conquered death to give us eternal life.  

How do we accept this?  Very simply by accepting with our hearts and minds that this is the Truth.  Jesus is the Truth.  Jesus is the Light of the world, shining His light on our lives to give us the Grace of GOD.  Once we accept this Truth, then we are filled with the Holy Spirit of GOD and then we need to confess our sins to GOD and to humbly ask GOD to forgive us our sins.  We then need to forgive those who have sinned against us.

Today let us accept Jesus and ask GOD to fill us with HIS Holy Spirit.  Let us confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and we are forever in His debt.  He is our Lord and our Saviour.  Let us confess our sins and be saved. 

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, save us from ourselves today.  We accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour.  FATHER forgive us for we have sinned.  We forgive all those who have sinned against us.  In the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD is with us!

GOD commands us to be strong and courageous.  We are not to be terrified or discouraged when we know GOD.  For every where we go, we take our faith in Jesus with us.  And if GOD is for us, then who can be against us?

Today let us hold fast to this and to know that we are in the powerful arms of our FATHER in Heaven.

Love covers a multitude of sins!

We are instructed by GOD to love one another earnestly.  This is so profound.  It is easy to love one another when we are all behaving well and doing the right things.  It is far more difficult to love one another when we are sinning and going against the Word of GOD.

Therefore the instruction is love one another earnestly.  This means that we need to love one another no matter what.  And this is much harder to do.  Therefore we need to concentrate and do this earnestly.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, show me how to love earnestly.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

When GOD promises, HE delivers!

As GOD made the earth and everything in it, so GOD promises that one day, HE will be King over all the earth.

We have been given free will and as such, we can choose to believe GOD and to believe in GOD.  Let us use our free will wisely and choose GOD.  Let us accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour.  Let us beg GOD to fill us with HIS Holy Spirit and let us ask GOD to forgive our sins.

This is the reason for our being, to worship our FATHER in Heaven!

Serve GOD!

We are on earth for the sole purpose of serving GOD.  A lot of people spend their whole lives searching for their purpose in life.  When we accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour, suddenly our purpose in life becomes crystal clear.

GOD has prepared good works for us to do on earth and we need to know what, where and how we can serve HIM.  We can learn to know what our deeds are by obeying GOD as HE steers us in the right direction.

When we read the Word of GOD and pray to HIM continually, suddenly we are living intense purpose driven lives in the wonderful Hands of FATHER in Heaven.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for creating me to do good works.  Show me where and how I can serve YOU best.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus has prepared a place for each of us in Heaven!

Jesus told His disciples that He went back to Heaven to prepare a place for them and for all who believe in Him.  He promised that He would return and receive them and us unto Himself.  So that where He resides, there we might be also.

This is then, what we can expect.  Jesus will come on the clouds and every eye on earth will see Him.  The dead who are saved, will rise and meet with Him first and then the living who believe will rise and meet with Him in the clouds.

From there, all believers will go with Jesus to Heaven where we will be with Him forever.

Accept Jesus, repent and be saved.  This is eternity and this is where everyone will want to be!

Prayer:  Jesus, I believe that YOU are my Saviour.  FATHER GOD, I thank YOU for Jesus.  Amen.

The Word of GOD is the Truth!

Jesus is the Word and the Word is truth.  Therefore the belief in Jesus Christ as our Resurrected Saviour, who conquered death, this belief will sanctify us.

Repent now.  Do not wait.  Forgive and accept Jesus.  This is the only way to Heaven.

There is no other way. 

Prayer:  FATHER please sanctify me through Jesus Christ.  I confess that Jesus is my Lord and my Saviour.  Amen.

Unity in and through Jesus!

In the belief of Jesus and His resurrection from the dead, we are made one with Jesus.  Through this unity we can attain a life with our FATHER in Heaven.  Let us remember that all of us will have eternal life.  It is a question of where we want to spend eternity.  Do we want an eternity with Jesus or do we want an eternity in hell.

Therefore let us not delay any further.  If we have not already done so, let us take Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour.  Let us confess this with our mouths to GOD our FATHER.  We will then be filled with the Holy Spirit.  This will show us our sins.  We confess our sins to our FATHER and we ask for forgiveness.  Then we need to forgive those who sin against us.

It will not help to go out and do good works if we do not do the above.  Unless we accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour, we are not getting to the FATHER.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, today I confess that I know that YOUR Son Jesus is my Lord and my Saviour.  I confess FATHER that I have sinned and I humbly ask that YOU forgive me as I forgive all those who have sinned against me.  I ask FATHER that YOU fill me with YOUR Holy Spirit.  I pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Be ready!

We need to be aware that Jesus can return at any time.  Never put off till tomorrow to accept Jesus or to repent. 

No one knows the hour or the day although many people spend their lives looking for signs.  One thing is for certain.  It will happen as GOD keeps all HIS promises.

Jesus spoke of this in his teachings.  So today, let us stay awake, alert and ready.  If we have not done so, today is the perfect time to sit down and confess our belief in the Son of Man.

Then we need to ask GOD to fill us with the Holy Spirit.  This will show us our sins and we need to confess to GOD and then we need to forgive those who have sinned against us.

Do it now!

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that I have faith that Jesus Christ is YOUR Son who came to earth.  I know that He died on a cross and that He conquered death and rose again and sits at YOUR right hand.  I confess FATHER that I have sinned and I humbly ask that YOU forgive me as I forgive all those who have sinned against me.  I pray this all in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Repent!

To receive the grace of GOD, salvation and eternal life with our FATHER in Heaven, we need to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour and we need to repent.  If we have not been baptized then we must be baptized.

Baptism is rebirth of the person into the life of Christ.  When we are baptized, we are filled with the Holy Spirit and we are convicted of our sins.  In other words, the Holy Spirit will show us where we have sinned.  Repentance also leads us to consider our sins and those who have sinned against us.  If GOD is forgiving us. surely then we need to forgive those who sin against us.

This is the only way to Heaven.  Accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour and then when we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we need to see ourselves as we really are.  We need to repent.

The Ten Commandments

The New Testament does not do away with the Old Testament.  Neither does the great commandment that Jesus gave His disciples replace the Ten Commandments.

As Christians, we need to know the Ten Commandments that GOD gave to Moses on Mount Sinai.

We should read them, know them and live by them.  We should write them on our hearts and test all our actions against them.  Let us not be deceived by false teachings who say that the Old Testament is not relevant or that the people of Israel are not GOD's chosen race.

If we agree with these false prophets, we effectively deny GOD.  Jesus did not ever contradict anything GOD told Moses when HE gave Moses the Ten Commandments.  

So let us write the Commandments down and write them on our hearts.  They are the rules for successful living.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU gave us the Ten Commandments.  Help me O FATHER to live by them.  I humbly ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Saviour.  Amen.

False Prophets

Dearest children of GOD.  Please be aware at all times.  When someone tells you something about GOD or Jesus, please go back to the Bible.  If the Bible does not support what they are saying, then GOD tells us categorically to ignore what we are told.

False prophets pervade our modern society in spades.  We, as followers of the living Jesus need to be aware and awake.

We cannot promote any false heretic teachings.  Prosperity gospels are not true.  It is simply not true that the more we give, the more we will receive.  It is also not true that people who leave out bits of the Bible that they do not like are true children of GOD. 

The Bible is inerrant and it is infallible.  Therefore we should live by "Sola Scriptura" only.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, help me to identify false prophets and people who are heretics.  Show me how to read my Bible so that I always know the truth. I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Bible is the inerrant word of GOD!

Timothy says that all Scripture is GOD breathed.  If we read the beginning of the Gospel of John, it starts by saying the "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was GOD and the Word was with GOD".  Jesus spoke and His words are recorded.  The Heavens and the earth were spoken into existence by GOD.

The proof of the Bible in its modern day form, most notably the King James Version, taking into account the times and the language, is still undeniably the Word of GOD. 

Let us therefore, know, that when we read our Bibles, we are reading what GOD said, what GOD is saying and the messages that HE still wants to give us today.  This is why it is so important to read our Bibles every single day.  Let us make this a habit that we are not willing to forsake.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that I can hear YOUR voice through YOUR word, the Bible.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Read the word of GOD!

We need to read the inspired word of GOD.  This is our Bible.  The Bible is more relevant today than it has ever been.

In a jaded world where morals are questionable and it is always about the individual rather than the collective people, we need to understand what GOD is saying to us.

To hear GOD, we need to pray and read HIS word.  Then we will start to quieten the noise and understand our place on the earth.  We will see things more clearly with GOD in our lives and when we know that we are in HIS hands.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that I can read YOUR word and that YOU will speak to me through the Bible.  I thank YOU in the Name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and my Saviour.  Amen.

Do Good!

We can only get to have an eternal life with GOD our FATHER if we believe that Jesus is our Lord and our Saviour.  We need to believe that GOD sent HIS only Son to live on earth, to die for our sins on a cross and that He rose from the dead and sits at the right hand of GOD the FATHER.

We need to repent of our sins and we do this when the Holy Spirit convicts us and shows us where we have sinned.  We need to forgive others who have sinned against us.

And lastly, we need to love one another as Christ loves us.

However, if we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour, then our lives change and we want to do the will of GOD on earth.  This is where the above verse comes in.  Once we have accepted Christ, then we are able to do good and to not expect any rewards on earth.

When we do not accept rewards on earth, we are assured that our rewards will be great in Heaven.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, make me a better person.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Christ strengthens us!

When we know that we have Jesus on our side, we know that we are in the Hands of our Creator, our Saviour.  There is nothing more powerful in the world than the GOD who created it all.

So let us today, accept GOD and Jesus as our Saviour and let us allow ourselves to be strengthened in the sure knowledge that GOD is all powerful and nothing can intimidate GOD.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU strengthen me.  I thank YOU for Jesus, my Lord and my Saviour.  Amen.

GOD is light!

GOD is light.  In HIM there is no darkness.  Therefore when we accept GOD and Jesus, we move into the light with them.  Things that were hidden are revealed and the light shines on all the dark places in our lives.  

This means that we suddenly see where and when we sinned.  We see how we hurt people and how badly we have lived our lives.

This is the time to fall down on our knees and repent and beg GOD to forgive us and it is also a time to forgive all those who have sinned against us.

So today, let us move out of the darkness and walk into the light in the hands of FATHER GOD and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are light and that I can move out of the darkness with YOU.  I thank YOU for my Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Draw near to GOD!

Contrary to those of us looking for GOD, GOD is never lost.  Only we are lost.  So when we need GOD we need to remember that GOD is where HE has always been, right next to us.

In order for us to feel the presence of GOD, all we need to do is talk to GOD.  We need to listen for HIS voice, read HIS word and be still.  Then we can feel the wonderful calming presence of the Almighty.  

With GOD in our lives we know that we are never ever going to be alone again.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are right next to me.  I thank YOU for being my FATHER and I thank YOU that Jesus is my Lord and my Saviour.  Amen.

Do not FEAR!

If we pray every day about everything, we begin to know that GOD is always listening to us.  HE hears our prayers.  HE wants to help us but we need to approach HIM.

So today let us pray to GOD.  Let us go down on our knees before our GOD and let us pray.  We can start by thanking GOD for who HE is.  We can thank GOD for what HE has done for us today.  We can thank HIM for our family, our friends, our homes and our lives.

Then we can talk to GOD about our fears.  We can tell HIM our innermost thoughts and HE is the ultimate confidant.  GOD never repeats anything we say to HIM to anyone here on earth.  In fact GOD will answer only us.

So know this today.  We have a friend in Heaven who is waiting to hear from us.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for who I am and for everything that I have.  I thank YOU for my family and my friends.  I thank YOU for my life.  FATHER protect me today from all the evil on earth.  This I pray in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Saviour.  Amen.
