My granddaughters are both miracles!
I have two miracle granddaughters. Both of them should, by all rights, not have made it through the pregnancy stages. And the second one should not have made it past three months of life.
My eldest daughter and her husband really struggled to have their children. They have lost four babies to miscarriage.
However, the firstborn little girl is now three and she is a pure delight. But, to all intents and purposes, she should not be here.
And I put it down to prayer. After three miscarriages, my daughter was finally pregnant with this little one. And then the troubles started.
Because my daughter is a grand mal epileptic, her neurologist decided to wean her off the medication so that she would carry to term. They gave her anti-rejection medication and she conceived and was pregnant. But then came the bleeds. She would start bleeding and have to be rushed into hospital.
I would race to the hospital and together we would pray that this little baby would somehow make it through the pregnancy. We prayed and prayed. And the bleeding continued right through the pregnancy. As my daughter was 35 years old, this was serious. But our faith never wavered. We prayed and prayed.
"LORD, if it is YOUR will, let this baby live".
My other daughter and her husband, who is studying to be a pastor, prayed. We roped in ministers, pastors, friends and family and we prayed.
Miraculously 38 weeks into the pregnancy, our little bundle of joy bounced into the world by caesarian section. And she is a truly precious gift from GOD. Every day, I give thanks to GOD for prayers answered.
I am thankful to our FATHER in Heaven each and every day that HE is so faithful to answer prayers.
My eldest daughter wanted a second baby and so they fell pregnant again.
Then came another miscarriage.
And then after nine more months of praying and a difficult pregnancy with more rushing to the ER, the second baby was born. She too is a little miracle.
The second baby was born with a hole in her heart, and she developed neonatal sepsis, and we nearly lost her.
Again, we had roped in all the people that we could to pray with us. But again, through prayer, she survived 11 days in ICU and recovered completely from the sepsis. Her hole in her heart closed in three months and she has a healthy heart.
Thank YOU, ABBA FATHER. I feel truly GOD blessed.! Please friends and family and anyone reading this, know that GOD is listening and if it is HIS will, your prayers will be answered. I know this firsthand. And I testify that GOD is truly faithful.
