Walk by Faith not by sight!

 When we are in Jesus, we have faith.  Faith that we are forgiven of our sins.  Faith that we will have eternal life with our FATHER in Heaven.  Faith that we are able to spread the word of GOD.  Faith that our prayers are heard by our FATHER in Heaven.

We cannot see our faith, and yet we know that it is there because we feel it.  

Therefore let us not walk by what we see, but rather let us continue to walk in FAITH!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for my faith in YOU.  Help me to grow in my faith daily.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Be on your guard!

 We are called upon to be on our guard against the enemy of Jesus Christ.  We are called upon to stand firm in our faith.  But most of all, as children of GOD on earth and co heirs with Jesus, we need to be courageous and to be strong.  Strong in our belief that Jesus is with us.  Strong in our faith in GOD our FATHER, courageous enough to defend these beliefs.

The way we can do this is to grow our faith and belief daily.  Through prayer and petition to GOD. 

Pray to GOD about everything and ask GOD for to strengthen us in our faith.  Ask GOD to fill us with HIS Holy Spirit.  And then trust in Jesus to be with us always in everything we think, say or do!

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for Jesus Christ with me.  I thank YOU for my belief and I thank YOU for my faith.  Fill me continually with YOUR Holy Spirit.  I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Without love, we are clanging cymbals!

 

We need to have love.  Love for GOD our FATHER, love for Jesus Christ, Love for the Holy Spirit, love for ourselves and love for one another.

Love encompasses all.  Love conquers all.  When we love, we cannot be malicious, vengeful, angry or dissatisfied.  When we love, our hearts are softened.  When we love we yield ourselves to the needs of wants the one we love.

That is why the order in which we love must be GOD, then ourselves and then one another.  Loving ourselves is often difficult.  But we need to remember that GOD created us in HIS image and therefore, if GOD loves us so, then we need to love ourselves also.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, show me how to love more. Show me especially how to love myself and how to love others.   I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The greatest commandment - Love!

 Jesus said that the greatest commandment is the we love the LORD our GOD with all hearts, with all our souls, with all our strenght and with all our minds.  Then we should love one another.

Let us examine ourselves today.  Do we love the LORD our GOD above everything else?  Is HE indeed the LORD of our lives, our loves our households, our thoughts, our deeds, our actions?

Or do we put the things of this world before HIM?

We should set aside time each day to spend with our FATHER in Heaven.  In doing so, our love for HIM will grow and grow and the Holy Spirit convicts us in our faith and in our love.  

Stemming from that love will come the love we need to show for one another.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I love YOU above everything on this earth.  Help me to love all the people on earth as YOU love them.  I ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

We need to train to be effective to GOD!

 It is no use thinking that we are saved unless we are using our salvation in the service of the LORD.  Salvation is guaranteed through our faith in Jesus Christ.  When we admit that we are sinners, when we believe that Jesus is our Lord and our Saviour, when we confess with our mouths that Jesus is in fact the Son of GOD, then we need to START using our faith.  

Our faith is no use hidden as a light under a bushel.  We need to reflect the glory of the LORD on earth.  

We can feed our faith through our daily Bible reading, our continuous ardent prayers and through spreading the good news.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, show me how to be a light to others and show me how to run the race so that I may spread YOUR glory and YOUR grace.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

False doctine!

 As children of GOD and co heirs with Jesus Christ, we need to know our Bibles really well.  We need to be in touch and in tune with Jesus Christ.  

We always need to ask ourselves the most important question in everything we do "What would Jesus do?"

If Jesus would not condone it, neither should we.  If Jesus did not say it, we should not believe it.  If Jesus said we should not do it, then we should not do it.  If Jesus, while he was on earth spent hours and hours in prayer, so should we.  If Jesus knew with Scriptures and quoted from them, so should we.

So, today, let us take up our Bibles and read them.  Let us pray to GOD about EVERYTHING before we do it and before we make decisions.  Let us know the will of our FATHER in Heaven and not use our own ideas.  

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU, I thank YOU that I can read YOUR word.  I thank YOU that I have the example of how Jesus lived on earth to set me on the path to eternity with YOU.  I thank YOU that I can pray like this to YOU.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

We need to honour our bodies!

 Our bodies house the Holy Spirit.  But not only are we the vessel where the Holy Spirit comes to reside in us, Jesus paid with His own blood the price for our salvation.

When we think bad thoughts, when we behave badly, when we blaspheme, when we eat extensively or drink excessively, or smoke or take drugs or do not exercise, we are showing our lack of appreciation that Jesus made in His sacrifice.

So today, let us start to glorify Jesus in our own bodies.  Let us watch especially what comes out of our mouths. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, show me how to make my body a Holy Temple where the Holy Spirit can come and live in me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Prayer

 Today let us hold firm to the Gospel we are given.  Let us believe in our Lord and our Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Let us believe in the miracles He performed on earth.  Let us most of all believe that HE took our sins and carried them to cross.  Where He died for us.  Most of all let us believe that HE conquered death and so can we if keep our faith in Him.

Faith is like a muscle, it needs to be worked on each and every day.  We need to exercise our faith in everything we do.  We need to use it or lose it.  It is really that simple.  Keep the faith.  Read the Word.  Pray to GOD about everything. and pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Saviour!

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for my faith in YOUR Son Jesus Christ.  Help me to grow my faith through YOU.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and my Saviour.  Amen.

Be in an attitude of gratitude towards our FATHER for HIS grace and favour!

 Let us always thank GOD.  For GOD gives us everything we have.  GOD gives us everything we are.  GOD gives us our families, our friends, our homes, our lives, our love and the love we have to give.  All this comes from our FATHER in Heaven.

Today let us bow down to our LORD and worship HIS Holy Name.  YAHWEH our FATHER in Heaven!

Jesus is the Lord over the living and the dead!

 Jesus conquered death so that we might eternal life with our FATHER in Heaven.  Jesus is the Lord of the living but He is also the Lord over the dead.  

He rules in us and He rules over our life on earth and our life everlasting.  Only people who call on the name of Jesus Christ, who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour will spend eternity with His, our FATHER and the Holy Spirit.

Today, choose life with Jesus over death with Satan for eternity.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I choose Jesus Christ as my Lord and my Saviour.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Do not bear a grudge!

 It is a perfectly natural thing to feel anger towards those who do us harm.  But Paul tells us not to do this.  And Paul quotes the old Testament when he says "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay" says the Lord.

So today, let us put aside our thoughts of anger for those who have harmed us and let us overcome evil with good!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, help me to think good thoughts about those who harm me and help me to forgive them as YOU forgive me my sins.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Do not be conformed to the world!

 As children of GOD we need to look after our eternal life rather than to be concerned about the things of this world.  This world is ours for a really short time.  Eternity is where our hearts and minds should focus.

So as the Paul tells us in his letter to the Romans, we should not conform to this world, but rather we need to transform by renewing our minds.

How can we renew our minds?  We can start by reading our Bibles daily.  We can start by praying when we wake up and praying when we go to sleep.  We can pray to GOD in thanks for our meals.  We can talk to GOD about each and every thing that crops up in our daily lives.  We can attend Church and attend Christian gatherings.  We can speak to like minded people about GOD.

The more we exercise our minds, the greater our hearts will fill up with the Holy Spirit and we will start to see the things of this world growing strangely dim.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, guide me to transform and grow to be more like Jesus.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Believe in Jesus to be saved now!

 The simple road to eternal life with our CREATOR FATHER in heaven is to do the ABC's.

A - Admit that we are sinners!

B - Believe that Jesus came to earth born of a virgin mother.  He lived on earth.  He never succumbed to sin.  He took all our sins to the cross and He was nailed to the cross where He died for our sins.  He died on the cross and then He conquered death and rose from death on the third day.  He ascended into Heaven.  He is the only way to get to an eternal life with GOD.  

C - Confess with our mouths that indeed Jesus is our way to GOD our FATHER in Heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for Jesus Christ.  I accept Jesus as my Redeemer.  FATHER I am a sinner, please forgive me.  I believe in Jesus Christ as the way, the truth and the life.  I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!  Amen.

The Spirit of GOD dwells in all who believe in Jesus as their Lord and Saviour!

 When we accept Jesus we are filled with the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is sent to us from GOD.  The Holy Spirit fills us and indwells us.  The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin.  The Holy Spirit is the lamp by which we need to measure our lives.

Today, accept Jesus and be filled with the Holy Spirit from our FATHER in Heaven!

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU fill us with YOUR Holy Spirit.  FATHER I thank YOU for this enormous grace in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

No, nothing shall separate us from the love of Christ, if we will but accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour.  If we will call on His mighty Name and admit that we are sinners, then the Holy Spirit is coming to fill us to the brim.  We then belong to Jesus Christ and we are heirs with Him in the eternal life we shall spend with GOD our CREATOR FATHER!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour.  I confess that I am a sinner.  I humbly ask that YOU fill me with YOUR Holy Spirit.  I accept YOUR grace.  In the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Accept Jesus and live with Him!

 As I travel through Paul's letter to the Romans, this verse always rings so true for me.  Once we accept and believe that Jesus is the Son of GOD, that Jesus came to this earth as a man, that Jesus faced temptations and never sinned, that Jesus died on the cross to take our punishment, and that Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven, nothing can separate us from the love of GOD that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

So today, if you have not made the decision, I would implore you at accept that Jesus is our Lord and our Saviour.  Be with Jesus Christ today!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I implore YOU that all those reading this blog tonight, accept and believe that Jesus is our Saviour.  I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

 After the coming of Jesus Christ, we are delivered from offering sacrifices to atone for our sins.  We are delivered from the laws GOD gave to Moses.  We are not delivered from the ten commandments.  But rather, we are called to be "Christ like" and to follow the example set by Jesus during His time on earth.

Jesus told us to love GOD with all our hearts, with all our strength, with all our minds and with all our souls.  He told us to love one another and to be kind to one another.

When we accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour, the Holy Spirit which comes to live in us, convicts us of our sins and we know we have done wrong.  We are called to repent of the sins we commit.  

So today, choose Jesus Christ, live under the new commandments to Love GOD and to love each other!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR Son, Jesus Christ, in whom I place all my trust.  I thank YOU that I no longer have to atone for my sins, but I humbly ask that YOU forgive my sins, which Jesus Christ died for me to absolve me.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The wages of sin is death!

 The wages of sin is death.  However GOD has given us HIS grace through HIS Son Jesus Christ.  If we believe in Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, admit that we are sinners and confess with our mouths that Jesus is our Redeemer, then we no longer die in sin.  We are born again into the fellowship of Jesus Christ and we become heirs of GOD through His enormous sacrifice on the cross.

So today ABC.  Admit we are sinners.

Believe that Jesus is Lord.

Confess with our mouths that Jesus is our Redeemer and that He is the Son of GOD sent to die for our sins.

And we have eternal life with Christ.  No good works necessary.  Nothing earned but the grace of GOD freely given to us. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I am under YOUR grace.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Christ died for us whilst we were still sinners!

 Whilst it is true to say that Christ died for us while we were still sinners, we know that sin separates us from our FATHER in Heaven.  It is very difficult to have faith in the salvation of Jesus Christ, when we constantly sin.  

That is why we need the Holy Spirit to come into us and to fill us with the Spirit of love.  

We all know when we are sinning, because it is very difficult to be in a living relationship with GOD while we try to hide our sinful ways.

Therefore, what we need to do is to ask GOD to forgive our sins and then to give us a change of heart.  We need to turn from our sinful desires and move into the light and the glory and the grace of our FATHER in heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  Fill me with YOUR Holy Spirit and give me a new heart for YOU.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Nothing can separate us from the love of GOD!

 I am so convinced that nothing can separate us from the love of GOD.  We are so blessed to be under the grace of GOD.  And we have to do nothing to earn this enormous grace other than to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour.

I feel so blessed to know this and I am always delighted to share this with you dearest children of GOD.  

Prayer:  My ABBA FATHER in Heaven, today I am so grateful to YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Be transformed!

 We should not be conformed to the things of this world when we believe in Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour.  In other words, we need to repent.  And to repent means that we need to change our minds about the worldly values that we place on things and people.

We need to become more like Jesus and to reflectors of the light rather than keepers of the dark. 

We need to move away from our sinful desires of greed, envy, slander, unkindness and we need to become loving, forgiving, kind and generous in every part of our lives.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, help me today to renew my mind and become more like Jesus.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Listen to the voice of GOD!

 

We need to listen out to hear the word of GOD.  When we are in doubt, we need to pray and read GOD's word and we will hear what GOD is telling us.

It is often difficult to hear the voice of GOD in these difficult times.  However, that is when we most need to listen.  GOD will converse with us in our prayers.  GOD will talk to us in our daily Bible readings and GOD will talk to us through other like minded Christians.   Listen and we will hear!

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that I can hear YOU talking to me in my prayers, in my conversations and in my Bible readings.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
