Are we living for Jesus?

 Jesus was born for one reason only.  The reason is simple, Jesus saves. Jesus came to this earth, lived a sinless life.  Then He was tortured, beaten, mocked and crucified.  On that Cross of Calvary, Jesus was punished for the sins you and I have committed.

Jesus did this because in our own rights, we are incapable of not sinning.  We are born sinful and we sin.  We might think that we are "good" people.  But in the eyes of GOD, our "good deeds" are filthy rags.

With that said, are we, children of GOD, living for Jesus?

Because if we are, we simply cannot go on sinning.  We need to constantly ask GOD to fill us anew with the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit, who takes us residence in us when we accept Jesus as our Lord, convicts us when we sin. 

Are we feeling convicted?

Because if we are not, we are not asking GOD constantly to fill us anew to overflowing with the Holy Spirit.

Today, let us choose to serve Jesus.  Let us choose to please Jesus.  Let us ask GOD to make us more and more like Jesus each and every day. 

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I humbly ask that I die to self and start to live only to serve YOU in all that I do.  I ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus, the bread of life!

 When we read this passage, do we fully comprehend the whole miracle.  As well as that there is other phrase which is "Jesus is the bread of life".  This is found in Matthew 6 when Jesus says that whoever comes to Him shall never hunger.

And true to His word, Jesus fed the masses from 7 loaves and a few fish.

And they took up seven baskets of leftover food.

What do we get from this passage, apart from the truly miraculous feeding of so many people with so little food?

What I get is that if we put all our trust in Jesus, we will never hunger or thirst.  And here I am not talking about food and water, I am talking about our souls will never hunger or thirst.

So many people say that they are searching for answers.  But if we know Jesus, Jesus is the answer.  Jesus truly is the only Way, the only Truth and the only Life.  Whoever comes to Jesus and takes Jesus as their Redeemer, gets eternal life with the FATHER in Heaven.

So today, if you have not made the decision, I implore you, do not delay.  Accept Jesus and accept eternity spent in Heaven.  

Oh, and while you are here on earth, you will never ever be alone again.  The Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you and Jesus takes up residence in your heart.  You will always have company.  

You can go to the FATHER directly, through the blood of our Saviour, spent for us and our sins on the Cross of Calvary.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU so humbly for YOUR tender mercies and YOUR grace given freely to me through my belief in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.  

I humbly ask that today, YOU forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  

I ask that YOU fill me anew with YOUR Holy Spirit.  Give me wisdom today.  I pray all of this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Thou of little faith!

 When you read the early chapters of Matthew, you read of some of the miracles that the LORD Jesus performed.  He healed the sick, the blind and the lame.  He fed five thousand men with five loaves and two fish.

Now in these verses, Jesus is walking on the water to get to His disciples.  Peter calls out to Him and and He invites Peter to walk towards Him.

Peter gets out of the boat and onto the water and begins to walk towards Jesus.  Realizing that he is now on top of the water, Peter begins to sink. 

Why?

The simple answer is that Peter took his eyes off Jesus and looked down at the water.

Are we not doing the same thing, day after day?

We look at the water around us and we take our eyes off Jesus. 

If we want to grow in faith, we need to keep our eyes on Jesus.  Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

When we trust in Jesus only, not in our own ability, we have true faith.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that I keep my eyes on Jesus only.  Let me not lean on my own understanding but keep my faith in YOU, and my Redeemer Jesus and the Holy Spirit only.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Warnings of hell from Jesus.

 

Jesus taught His disciples in parables. Jesus did this for a very good reason.  Truly, even today, some people want to hear and others want to listen and there is a big difference.

In these parables, are dire warnings to us even today.  The warning is that we need to choose heaven or hell.

In the parable above, Jesus teaches that the farmer sowed his wheat and during the night, the enemy came and sowed tares amongst the wheat.

For those who might have missed it, the enemy likes the dark and the enemy works best in the dark and in secret.

We just need to consider how many houses are burgled at night as opposed to the day.

The enemy, satan roams about and targets people doing things secretly where they know that they cannot be seen.  What few people realize is that GOD sees everything!  GOD knows everything! GOD is everywhere!

The devil is neither omniscient, omnipotent and neither omnipresent.  In fact the devil cannot be in many places at once at all.

The workers ask the farmer, "shall we pick out the tares?" To which the man replies, "no, leave them until we harvest and then we shall bundle them and they shall be burnt on the fire".

This is a dire warning for all sinners.  Sinners will be dealt with by GOD at the end.  No one will escape the judgement of our FATHER.  

Choose Heaven.  Accept Jesus.  Repent and be born again into the Holy Trinity of our Mighty ABBA FATHER today.  Listen to the warnings of Jesus!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR Word and the fact that I might ask for wisdom to understand, knowing that when I ask, I receive.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Judgement Day!

 Becoming a child of GOD comes with a huge responsibility.  Not only are we accountable for every action, but also for every empty word.

What do we say each and every day?  Words are important.  And if we do not believe that, we should read the Bible.  King Solomon asked only for wisdom.  Because he was wise enough to know that all he needed was wisdom.

With wisdom came the sense to tame his tongue.

We are called to be prudent and to hold our tongues.  We need to keep our counsel and to use our words wisely.

This is most important. So the thing here is as children of GOD we need to use our words wisely. Let this be our prayer tonight.  And where we have used empty words, let us ask GOD to forgive us.

Prayer:   ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  I thank YOU for YOUR immense mercy.  FATHER tonight I humbly pray that where I have used empty words please forgive me.  This I pray in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Truth shall set us free!

 Once we accept Jesus and we know the truth, the truth about Jesus Christ being the Son of GOD.  The truth that Jesus came to set us free from sin, and that Jesus is the truth, the truth will indeed set us free.

But more than that, the Truth comes to live in us, and the Holy Spirit takes up residence in us and this Truth convicts us when we sin.

So the plain and simple thing is that we know when we are free, because we have been convicted to the Truth by the Holy Spirit.

No longer can we just sin randomly.  Each and every little lie is now something that haunts us.  Each and every word used for blasphemy is hurtful to us, even to listen to.

We start to change.  We want to read the Word of GOD.  We want to know the Word of GOD.  We want to understand the character of GOD, we want a living, loving relationship with GOD.  This is the simple Truth of the matter.  And it if it is not so, then we need to go back to the beginning.  And ask ourselves, are we truly children of the Living GOD?

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I am so grateful to YOU to be a child of YOURS.  FATHER fill me anew with Holy Spirit to know the simple Truth.  FATHER, let the Holy Spirit convict me of every sin, small or great.  And FATHER where I sin, forgive me.  Forgive me as I forgive those who sin against me.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Come to Jesus!

 Dear Christ followers, this verse is so beautiful.  Don't we all sometimes feel that we labour in vain and we are heavily burdened.  Speaking to people about the situation in South Africa with all the load shedding, I cannot help noticing that people are feeling extremely low and heavily burdened.

What we need to do is to take this to Jesus.

Only in the peace and humility of Jesus Christ, will we find rest for our weary souls.

Jesus is the Way.  Jesus is the Truth and Jesus is definitely our Light.  

Most of all, Jesus is the Life - the eternal way to GOD.  The only way to GOD.

And if we go to Jesus, we will find rest for our weary, heavily burdened souls.

Today, let us take Jesus up on His gracious offer and give over all our troubles to Him.  He is far better equipped to handle them.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for Jesus Christ.  I thank YOU that I can bring all my troubles to YOU and hand them over to YOU knowing that YOU have a perfect plan for my life.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of  Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Confess Jesus before men!

 

As children of GOD and Christ followers, do we confess Jesus before men?  At this time of so much turmoil around the world, we need to be sharing the good news.  Are we doing this?

We do not have to load up a car and set off into the blue yonder to minister.  We can do it in our own neighbourhood.  We can do it at the supermarket and we can do it in our friendship groups.

A very good opening line for evangelism is to say to someone "Jesus bless you".  It tells people so much.  It is refreshing to hear that we are being blessed by Jesus rather than "have a good day".

Today, as Christ followers, let us start to greet people with a "Jesus bless you today" and let us spread the good news in a very small way.  It will definitely lead to more people thinking about Jesus.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that through YOUR grace and favour I am able to call myself a Christ follower.  FATHER help me daily to start to spread the news that Jesus loves us and that HE died for us.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Sinners repent!

 Dearest Christ followers.  Jesus came to save us.  You and me.  The only thing standing between us and our salvation is acceptance of this truth.

And a truly repentant heart.  Are we repentant?  Are we changing?  Are we growing in Christ?  Are we being replenished by the Holy Spirit?

Growth towards salvation is a day by day occurrence, not a "once saved always saved" approach.

We need to fill ourselves anew each and every day with our walk with Christ.  We need to pray daily.  We need to fellowship daily.  We need to talk to GOD daily.  We need to be filled up each and every day with the Holy Spirit.

Some introspection is good.  Therefore let us ask the questions and answer honestly, and if the answer to a lot of these questions is no, then we need to start working earnestly to get to a place where the answers are all yes.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly ask that YOU circumcise my heart to be more and more like Jesus.  Convict me where I have sinned and not asked for forgiveness.  Soften my heart to be more loving, to be more like Jesus and less and less like my old self.  Help me, ABBA FATHER to put on the "new" me, the one that looks more like Jesus.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

True faith!

 Here is a consideration for today. How strong is our faith?

Are we like this centurion?  Do we have faith like the centurion?  Do we know that with GOD anything, yes anything is absolutely possible?

Today let us think about how strong our faith actually is.  If we need something from GOD do we have to pray and pray and pray and fast and pray some more?  Or can we just believe that GOD can do anything, ask for it and know that GOD has done it?

Because true faith knows the character of GOD.  True faith knows the intention of GOD and true faith puts all its trust in GOD.

GOD has been so faithful to us.  GOD have made promises to us and HE has kept them all without fail.  GOD never lets us down.  However many times we let HIM down, HE never reciprocates.

This is why it is so important to build a relationship with GOD.  To build our trust in GOD and to get to know and understand the Will of GOD.

We can only do this by daily prayer, by daily reading of the Bible and by fellowshipping with like minded Christ followers. 

Prayer:   ABBA FATHER, today help me to know YOU more and help me to understand YOUR will for my  life.  Help me to grow my faith each and every day.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Narrow Gate!

 Jesus is giving us a real warning here and it is wise to take heed.  

We always want to assume that most people are going to Heaven.  And in this verse Jesus clearly tells us that this is not the case.

The gate to get to Heaven is narrow and few will find it.

Consider this statement and then look inward.  Will we get to Heaven?  Are we on the right path?  Have we put our destiny in the HAND of GOD and Jesus or are we still trying to drive our path our way?

The road that leads to destruction is wide.  

Today, let us do some serious introspection - again.  Let us think about our lives and what exactly we are doing with them.  If the Rapture happened now, would we be meeting Jesus in the clouds or would we be remaining here?

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  FATHER show me each and every day how to live for YOU alone.  Let me not do things my way but THY way.  This I humbly pray in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord, my Saviour, my Redeemer.  Amen!

Do we have beams in our own eyes?

Do we have a beam in our eyes? When we listen to people discoursing on others, it is always the standard reply "judge not lest ye be not judged".  And this is true.

But what is also true is that a lot of the time, is that we are extremely short sighted where our own failings are concerned.

As Christ followers, we need to be acutely aware of how we are seen by others.  We need to shine the light of Jesus on the earth and to in order to do that, we need to look for the beams in our eyes.

For myself, I am well aware that I have many faults and failings.  I like to be right and hate to admit being wrong.  I dislike criticism and fall very short in so many areas of my life when trying to be more and more like Jesus.

What can we do?

The simple answer is that we need to constantly and earnestly pray to Jesus and to the Holy Spirit for wisdom.  We need to pray to make us more humble.  We need to pray that we die to self and start to serve others. 

Prayer is the only way to get rid of the beams in our own eyes.  Obviously, we also need to pray to be more tolerant of those with motes in their eyes.  We need to pray for patience in our dealings with others.  We need to pray to be less judgemental and to be more introspective of our own faults.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I am particularly aware of my shortcomings.  FATHER help me to be more and more like Jesus each and every day.  Help me to be patient with others and help me to overcome my shortcomings.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Sermon on the Mount

 Sometimes in life, we need to go back to the basics.  One of my basics of the Bible is the Sermon on the Mount when Jesus gave the beatitudes.  And it is always a favourite of mine to read.

It is really soul food.  Jesus speaks about those who are blessed.  Truly inspiring and also comforting.  Jesus tells the people who were following Him who would reap blessings.

The way life is so fast paced today, it is worth going back and slowly reading each one.

Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

This could mean persecuted, sick, poor, elderly or many other things.  Being poor in spirit covers a lot.

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.  Again, absolutely beautiful, and through provoking.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled.

Do we hunger and thirst after righteousness?  We are promised by Jesus that we shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.  Are we merciful?  Or are our hearts hardened by the things of this world?

Blessed are the pure of heart for they shall see GOD.  Let us question our hearts, and if we find they are not pure, let us work on getting them in line with the Righteousness that the LORD requires of them.  Let us ask GOD daily to purify our hearts so that we are ready to meet with HIM at any time. 

Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of GOD.  Are we peacemakers or do we love trouble and strife?  If the latter, then let us ask GOD to help us to become peacemakers and ask GOD to help us to flee from trouble and strife.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.  

I would always pray that we are not persecuted for righteousness sake.  Although Christians are being persecuted worldwide and we need to pray for them as well.  Today I read that in the UK the term "Christian name" is no longer allowed as it is not inclusive!

That is food for thought.

Anyway, dearest readers, I pray that all reading this are truly Jesus blessed today!

Bread of life - the WORD of GOD

 Jesus was tempted in the wilderness by satan.  He had fasted for forty days and forty nights.  This is beyond my imagination.

I have great difficulty fasting for 2 hours.

Now Jesus was faced with satan promising to turn the stones into bread.  So Jesus answered him and gave the verse above.

This is true for us today.  We need to feed off the bread of life.  This is the Word of GOD.

When we starve our hearts and our minds of the Word of GOD, our hearts harden towards GOD.  And to be faithful to GOD, we need our hearts to be soft towards HIM.

This is accomplished by a daily feeding off HIS Word.  

Let us today resolve to start reading the WORD of GOD each and every day.  Not only that, but let us subscribe to daily Bible verses if we have them.  Let us want to read what GOD is telling us.  This will make GOD so much more accessible to us.  When we understand HIM and HIS nature and more importantly, HIS plan for our lives.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that we have access to YOUR WORD.  Help me each day to want to read YOUR WORD.  Help me to hunger for it.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Water baptism!

As children of GOD we are called to obedience to our FATHER in Heaven.  And water baptism is this obedience in action, demonstrating to GOD that we are serving HIM.

Jesus knew this and Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.  This was not to cleanse Him from sin, but in obedience to GOD, dying to self and serving the will of our FATHER in Heaven.

When we are batized, it is because we have done a few things in sequence.  This is if we are doing things in the right order.

The first thing is that we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour.  The second thing is that we now have faith in GOD that GOD has made our salvation possible through the shedding of the blood of HIS Son, Jesus Christ.  The third thing is that we have repented of our sins.  

The last thing is that we now want to act obediently to GOD and we are therefore dying to self and becoming new creatures who are convicted by the Holy Spirit to be baptized.

This is water baptism.  It is a personal choice and it is not a salvation issue.  We can still be saved without being baptized.  But if we are able and we want to do this, then we should.

What we must do after baptism is to turn away from our old selves and to put on the new person.  A person who now lives for Christ.  A person who wants to be more and more like Christ.  A person who submits to the will of our FATHER in Heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I have YOUR grace and favour.  I humbly ask that YOU make me more and more like Jesus each and every day.  I humbly ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay obediently GOD blessed today!

Obedience counted as righteousness!

 Joseph the husband of Mary and the earthly father of Jesus was obedient to the LORD.  Firstly, Joseph, when Mary was found to be with child was of a mind not to marry her.  But the LORD sent an angel to Joseph and Joseph listened.  Then Joseph was told to take the child and go to Egypt when Jesus was new born.  Joseph listened.  Then Joseph was told to take the child to Nazareth to fulfil the Scriptures, and he did.

Are we obedient to the voice of our FATHER in Heaven?  Do we listen? Or do we do whatever we want?

Today, let us reflect on why things seem to be hard.  Is it just because we do not wait on the LORD and follow HIS commandments?

We need to resolve to be better at praying, waiting to hear from GOD and then being obedient to HIS commands.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I humbly ask that when I pray, YOU grant me the patience to wait for answers from YOU.  I pray that I may be as obedient to YOUR commands as Joseph and Abraham.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus - born to save us from our sins!

 Our GOOD and GRACIOUS FATHER in Heaven wants a living, loving relationship with you and I.  HE wants each and every person on earth to come to HIM.

This is why we have our wonderful Saviour, our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  And in Matthew, we are told how Joseph was told not to leave Mary as his betrothed wife, but to take her as his wife, because she would conceive, by the Holy Spirit, a Son and He would be our Saviour.

What a magnificent GOD and FATHER and CREATOR we serve.  The perfect plan to save you and I from our sinful ways.

This is not a tale, this is a fact.  All who call on the Name of Jesus Christ will be saved.

No one who accepts Jesus as Lord and Saviour will be left behind.

So what do we do?  We accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour and we ask that we are filled with the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit will come and take up residence in all who call on the Name of Jesus Christ.  The Holy Spirit convicts us to repent from our sinful ways.  He convicts us each and every time we sin.

Such grace.  We really need to be thankful today that our FATHER loves you and I so much.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU that I have Jesus Christ as my Lord and my Saviour.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Word became flesh

 

We know that Jesus is GOD because in the beginning, the entire universe was spoken into existence.

Here John confirms that Jesus is GOD.  Because John tells us that the Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.

John confirms that he saw the glory of the one and only Son of GOD, Jesus Christ, who came from the FATHER, full of grace and truth.

John was called to be a disciple of Jesus, an Apostle, and John was witness to the teaching, the persecution and the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  John saw that Jesus never once retaliated in the face of His impending torture at the hands of His tormentors, never once said anything that was not full of grace under tremendous pressure.

And we are so blessed to have this testimony of an eye witness to the life of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Today, if you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and your Saviour, I would implore you to read John.  John tells of our redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ. 

John was there.  John was a credible witness.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that the disciples of Jesus, recorded their eye witness accounts of the life on earth of my Lord and my Saviour, Jesus Christ.  

I thank YOU ABBA FATHER, that through this we can be sure that our faith is not without hope.  

I humbly thank YOU for YOUR grace and your mercy in giving a sinner like me, the chance to redeem my sins through the blood of Jesus Christ.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

To Jesus be the glory!

 We owe it all to Jesus.  Our FATHER sent HIS only Son to die for you and for me.  If it was not for Jesus taking our sins onto that cross of Calvary and paying the price in full for us to have the Grace of GOD, we had absolutely no chance of ever redeeming our sins.

But through our faith in Jesus, our repentance of our sins and our being washed clean by the Blood of Jesus, we are able to appear before the presence of the Glory of our FATHER in Heaven.

And in the verses above, Jude, the half brother of Jesus gives the Glory to GOD.

Today, I am thankful for the Grace of GOD. I am thankful for my faith in Jesus.  I am thankful that I have a way to prepare for an eternity in Heaven.

I am truly grateful.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU that I am justified of my sins by the blood of Jesus Christ.  Thank YOU FATHER for YOUR mercy.  Thank YOU FATHER for YOUR justice and thank YOU FATHER for Jesus in my life.  I am truly blessed and grateful.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Be tender hearted with one another

 As followers of Jesus Christ, we need to shine His light on this ever darkening world.  And that means trying to be more like Jesus each and every day.

We cannot be hard of heart.  We cannot judge one another and most of all we need to be kind to each other.

In this verse, Paul calls on followers of Christ to put away all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor and evil speaking.  He calls on the believers in Jesus not to treat each other maliciously.  

This verse is so applicable today when so many people people claim to be Jesus followers, but they so easily slander each other.  They are malicious.  But most of all their hearts are hard to each other.

GOD reads our hearts.  GOD knows what we are thinking.  And most of all we will be judged by our hearts.

Let us humbly come before GOD and ask that HE makes us tender hearted to each other.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly ask that YOU read my heart and if it is hardened, I would ask that YOU soften my heart to all the people of this earth.  Let me not pick and choose to whom I will be tender hearted.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Manifest Jesus in our lives!

 It is very hard to let the light of Jesus shine through us when we feel troubled.  And there are so many troubles in this world at the moment, it is hard to see the goodness around us.

This is why it is so important to turn to GOD.  Paul was so good at pointing out that although he was troubled on all fronts, he was not distressed.  He was perplexed but not in despair.  He was persecuted but did not feel abandoned by GOD.  He was cast down but not destroyed.

Why was this?

Simple.  He knew that Jesus overcame the world through His death on the cross.  Therefore Paul knew that eternally he was going to spend the time in Heaven with Jesus.

That is our hope.  Our hope is only in Jesus.  Not in the things of this world. 

This is why it is so important now, in these dark times, to keep our eyes on the prize of eternity with Jesus.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I am so thankful that I can shine the light of Jesus in this ever darkening world.  I thank YOU that I see the signs that Jesus is coming to fetch us soon.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD is with us - refining us!

 GOD reads our hearts and GOD  wants us to multiply the fruits of the spirit.  That is why when we have to endure suffering, we need to rejoice.  

As Paul says, suffering produces endurance, endurance character, character hope.

And our hope needs to be in GOD only.  GOD can do all things.  But we need to hope. 

When we hope in the LORD, GOD reads our hearts and GOD can see whether or not we are trusting in HIM or whether we are trusting in our own abilities.

The relationship that GOD wants with us is one of complete trust.  All we need to do is to let go and put all our hope, all our faith and all our trust in HIM.  This shows GOD that we know that with HIM all things are possible. 

Today, let us give over everything to GOD.  Let us bend our knees to our FATHER in Heaven and say "Thy Will ABBA FATHER, and not my will be done in my life going forward" and mean each and every word of what we are saying.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I give my will over to YOU dear FATHER knowing that THY will is so much more perfect than anything I can offer.

FATHER, give me YOUR peace and help me to give over my will to YOU each and every day.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD is in control!

 Do we really know GOD?  That is my question this evening.  Because if we truly understand and know GOD, we should know, yes absolutely know, that with GOD anything is possible.

The plans of the GOD we serve are totally immutable to everything on earth.  Because GOD does not answer to anyone.  GOD is Holy, Righteous, Merciful, Just and GOD has a perfect plan for this earth.

So nothing we can do or say is going to alter what will ultimately happen on earth.

What we need to do is to trust in GOD completely.  We need to relinquish our control to GOD.  Every day we need to give GOD reign over our plans.

When we start each day, we need to remember to say: "Not my will, LORD, but THY WILL be done."

And then we need to give over all our fears to GOD, because HE will do it all in HIS perfect way.

That relinquishing of our will to GOD's Will needs to become a daily habit.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR perfect plans.  FATHER help me to remember to relinquish my will to THY WILL each and every day and in each and every circumstance that I find myself in.

I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Let the word of GOD penetrate to judge the attitude of your heart!

We are so blessed to be able to freely read the Word of GOD.  In most of the readers who follow this blog's homes you will find one or more Bibles.

However, this is not the case worldwide.  Bibles are often banned or prohibited in certain muslim and communistic countries.

The other reason we are blessed is that we can afford a Bible.  Many people simply cannot afford one.

So, being able to read our Bibles, do we actually do so?  Or are they gathering dust on a bookshelf somewhere?

The Word of GOD is alive and active.  This is true even today and especially in the times we are living in.  We need to read our Bibles, avidly.  We need to want to know the living Word of GOD.  We need to want to know the character of GOD, the will of GOD and most of all, read about HIS creation and HIS plan for our salvation and our eternity.

Jesus is the Word of GOD.  Jesus spoke the world and the universe into existence.  This is why it is so important to read the Bible.  To understand the Majesty, Holiness, Omniscience, Omnipotence, Omnipresence and Righteousness of the GOD we serve.

Today, if you haven't done so, grab your Bible and go for it.  Read and make it a daily habit.  Start in the Gospel of John and read from there.  You will be awesomely surprised by knowing what a magnificent CREATOR GOD we serve.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I am so blessed to love reading YOUR Word daily.  I humbly pray that YOU pierce every heart reading this to read YOUR word daily.  I pray that the people who read YOUR word start to know YOU in a way that they never thought possible.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Know the voice of Jesus!

 As children of GOD, we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour, our Redeemer.  Jesus is the lamb of GOD but He is also our Shepherd.

Here in this passage, Jesus says that He gives us eternal life and no one will snatch us out of His hand.

He goes on to say that GOD, who is greater than everything has given us to Jesus.

This is such a powerful thought.  Once we are "born again" into Jesus, no one can snatch us out of His Hand.  

Jesus goes on to say that we are His sheep and we know His voice, we will follow Him.

So what do we have to do?  It is simple.  We need to follow Jesus.  We need to become more and more like Him each and every day.  We need to know His will for our lives.  We need to understand the character of Jesus and we can only do that through the daily reading of the Word of GOD.

Let us resolve to listen to Jesus and to truly get to know Him more and more.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I have Jesus as my Lord, my Saviour, my Shepherd, my Redeemer.  Help me get to know the character of Jesus better each and every day.  Guide me to be more like Jesus daily.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Do not lose heart!

 Only when we are in a relationship with Jesus can we have true and lasting peace.

In this verse, Jesus tells us that in this world we will have tribulation, but that we are not to lose heart, for Jesus has overcome the world.

It is so easy to lose heart in this ever darkening world we live in.

What we need to do is to keep our eyes on Jesus.  We need to look for GOD in the every day things.  We need to watch a sunrise or a sunset and we need to keep looking at the wonderful creation of GOD.  It is everywhere if we look. 

We need to seek the good in people and forget about looking for the negative things.  We need to watch what we watch and we need to start reading the Word rather than watching the world.

Today let us get our thoughts into perspective and focus on our eternal life with Jesus rather than the troubles of this world.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  I thank YOU for my blessings today.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

End of Times

 During the tribulation, the people left on earth will have to take the mark of the beast to be able to buy or to sell.

Can you imagine such control?

Actually yes!  Do not be fooled about the lockdowns during COVID.  Although I do believe that COVID is a real virus and that many people died, I do not believe that we should have been locked down and counted and numbered and identified as we were.

Governments, I believe, experimented with exactly how far they could constrain the population, whilst many of their members disregarded lockdown and moved about.

I see that we are living in extremely perilous times.  Times when the mass population will be able to be controlled quite easily with just a few instructions.

The governments noticed that very very few people resisted the lockdowns and generally people were complacent about it.  

If we believe that we are living in the end of times, it surely follows that the Anti Christ has been born and is living amongst us.  He has then also seen the line of least resistence taken by the mass populous on earth.

As Christ followers, I believe that we have nothing to fear from this man.  However, that is not true of many of our loved ones who are not saved and will face this beast.

We need to know that time is short for us to get our message home to our loved ones.  

Repent.

Believe.

Be born again!  NOW!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I know YOU will deliver me from evil.  FATHER I humbly pray that all my family and friends may see YOUR grace in me and want to become born again.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD ALMIGHTY reigns!

 Tonight I would like to think about our FATHER in Heaven.  Let us consider our CREATOR FATHER.

Our GOD has revealed to us what will happen in the end of times on this earth.  If we read the Book of Revelation, and the vision given to the Apostle John, we must surely know that we are living in the end of times.

Although no one knows the exact date or time, only GOD, but it is clear that this earth is fading away.

Yes, there are people who want desperately to save our earth.  But this, sadly is not to be.  GOD knows that this earth was not created for eternity.  It has a life, and that life is ending.

What we need to do, is to ensure that we are ready to leave this earth at a moment's notice. In the blink of an eye.  Not only ready to leave this earth and all that is in it, but ready to meet Jesus. 

Nothing we do after that will add to our salvation.  Now is the time to consider, are we ready?  Are we living a life that is pleasing to GOD or are we living  our lives for our own pleasures on earth?

Surely, nothing is as important as our eternal lives.  Today, let us start living for Jesus.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  FATHER, I would humbly ask that YOU show me how to live my life to be better prepared to meet with Jesus at any moment.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
