The Truth!

Jesus did not come to do away with the law.  Rather, Jesus came to save us from our sins and to put us under a better covenant than the one GOD made with Israel.

There is simply no way that we can possibly keep all the Levitical laws.  We find it difficult enough to keep the ten commandments.

So GOD devised a plan.  And that plan required the shedding of blood.  And the blood had to be pure and righteous and without blemish.  GOD chose Jesus to be our Redeemer and to take our sins onto the Cross with Him and to face the wrath of GOD poured out for you and for me. 

That is why the following is so important to remember:

• Jesus was born of a Virgin - the Holy Spirit came upon his mother 
• Jesus was Holy - although a man, with all the human trials, he never sinned
• Jesus was tempted for forty days and never succumbed to temptation
• Jesus performed many signs and wonders whilst on earth
• Jesus taught the disciples and the people the Truth
• Jesus was baptized
• Jesus had to die on that cross and to face the wrath of GOD on our behalf 
• Jesus had to shed His blood for us
• Jesus died on that cross
• Jesus was buried and spent three days and three nights in that tomb
• Jesus rose from the dead
• Jesus conquered death so that we might have eternal life with GOD
• Jesus ascended into Heaven and 
• Jesus sits at the right Hand of our FATHER GOD.
• Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  

If you accept Jesus, then you have to know that the above is the truth.  This is faith.  And faith leads to hope in our eternal salvation.

Should you not have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, I implore you - do not tarry.  The time may be running out for you to do so and tomorrow may be too late.

Accept the Grace of GOD.  Choose an eternity with GOD today!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today, I humbly ask that YOU soften the hearts of anyone who is reading this and has not accepted YOUR grace, that they would turn to YOU FATHER.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus our Intercessor!

 Jesus is the only intercessor between GOD and ourselves.  We separated ourselves from GOD through our sinful natures.  This goes back to Adam and Eve when they sinned in the Garden of Eden.

However, GOD devised a way for us to get back into a relationship with HIM.

We can accept Jesus, GOD's only begotten Son as our Lord and our Saviour.  A high priest forever in the Order of Melchizedek.  

Jesus took His own blood and washed our sins away on that Cross of Calvary.  He died for you and for me.

And Jesus is the only way back to GOD.  There is no other way.  Without our belief in Jesus we cannot get back to GOD. At that point of confessing Jesus as our Redeemer and believing this with all our hearts, we are saved and we are filled with the Holy Spirit. 

We need to confess our sins to GOD and to ask GOD to forgive us when we accept Jesus.  Then our sins are separated from us as far as East is from West. This lifts the burden of past sins from us.

It does not mean that we will not give an account of our lives.  We will.  But we will not be held accountable for our sins.  With the precursor, we cannot continue to sin in the same manner as we did before.  We are to be convicted of our sins and we are to grow and become more like Jesus.  True Christianity really looks like something!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for Jesus Christ as my Lord and my Saviour.  I confess my faith in Jesus.  I humbly ask that YOU forgive my sins.  I ask this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  I pray that YOU fill me with YOUR Holy Spirit.  Amen.

Eternal Salvation!

When we obey GOD and accept Jesus as our Redeemer, we have eternal salvation.  However, we remain sinners, because we are human and frail.  Our sins are washed clean through the blood of Jesus shed on that cross for our redemption, when we ask GOD to forgive us. 

Should we continue to sin as we did before we accepted the redemption of Jesus, our salvation is no longer guaranteed.  We need to be obedient to our FATHER.  

So, how do we do this?  We need to know the will of GOD.  And we need to relinquish our will to that of our FATHER in Heaven.  We also need to be guided and convicted by the Holy Spirit who comes to indwell us when we accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour.

The Holy Spirit will guide us and if we are obedient to our FATHER,  we will find it easier to identify our sins and to sin less and less.

This is achieved through knowing the word of GOD.  Through knowing the will of GOD and through daily habits of praying to GOD about every aspect of our lives.

Leave GOD out of nothing.  Go to GOD in every decision and for everything with prayer and thanksgiving.  Develop an attitude of gratitude.  Start each prayer, not by asking for something, but by thanking GOD for all that HE is in our lives.  Then, once that is done, ask GOD to help and guide you.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I can have eternal salvation if I am obedient to YOUR will and YOUR way.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus our Salvation!

 

Jesus is the only way to GOD.  There is no other way.  And when we believe in Jesus, and when we confess that we are sinners and when we accept the grace of GOD we are saved.  But once we are  saved, we need to obey the word of GOD.

We simply cannot go on sinning and living our lives as if we are not under the word of GOD.  The word of GOD is sharper than a double edged sword, piercing to the inner being and reading our hearts. 

The Holy Spirit will indwell us when we accept the grace of GOD, but will depart if we continue to sin.  Salvation is not guaranteed by a single act of obedience.  Obedience needs to be made complete in us.  This is a process and requires us to read the word of GOD, to pray to GOD and to be obedient to HIS will. 

This does not mean that we will not sin, but what it will mean is that we will know when we are sinning and we will need to confess this sin and to stop doing it.

Christianity and being co-heirs with Jesus is a responsibility that looks like something.  A change will occur in our behaviour or we are not truly saved.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER help me to know how to obey YOU better.  I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Do not harden your hearts!

 GOD is conversing with us.  We must be sure to listen for HIS voice.  And if we harden our hearts, we deafen our ears to HIS words.

GOD wants a living relationship with each one of us.  But if we continually refuse to hear GOD, our hearts will harden and it will become more and more difficult to hear HIM.

Today, grow in your relationship with our FATHER.  Read HIS word, pray to HIM, tell HIM your thoughts, your fears and your doubts.  But most of all, thank GOD.  Thank GOD for your life, your family, your friends.  Thank GOD for your home, your food, your clothing.  Thank GOD for every little thing.

Apologise to GOD.  Tell HIM you are sorry that you sin.  Tell GOD about the things that you have done wrong and ask HIM for HIS forgiveness.  Tell GOD about the things that you have not done that you should have done. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, tonight I cry out to YOU.  Thank YOU FATHER for who I am and what I have.  Thank YOU FATHER that I have a relationship with YOU though Jesus Christ.  Thank YOU FATHER for YOUR Holy Spirit that dwells in me.  Thank YOU for everything.  Forgive me for my sins FATHER.  I humbly pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Salvation through Jesus Christ!

 

Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we are saved by the Grace of GOD through the shedding of the blood of Jesus for us on the cross.  Jesus shed His blood to wash us clean of our sins.  

Through salvation, we are filled with the Holy Spirit which convicts us of our sin.  We then confess our sins to GOD and we should ask our FATHER to forgive us.  The Bible tells us that when we do this our sins are removed from us as far as the east is from the west.

However, should we then continue to sin?  And the answer is - most definitely not.  Continual and habitual sin separates us from the love of GOD.  GOD cannot be near anything unholy or impure.  HE is a righteous and Holy GOD.  That is why Jesus intercedes for us and takes our sin onto Him to redeem us.

Should we thereafter continue to sin, our salvation is no longer guaranteed by Jesus.  There are many verses which allude to this and the one above is an admonishment by the writer of Hebrews to heed the things we have heard, lest we let them (and our salvation) slip away.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that You continually fill me with YOUR Holy Spirit.  FATHER convict me when and where I sin.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus is GOD!

 

I think we often miss the point.  But in Hebrews it is spelled out quite clearly.  Jesus is GOD!

Jesus will judge us and we get into Heaven through Him alone.  The reason that Jesus will judge us is because Jesus is GOD.  Jesus added humanity to His deity and came to earth.  He was born of virgin so that He was not born out of sin or into sin.  Jesus gave His life on the cross to redeem our sins.  He conquered death and rose from the dead and now sits with our FATHER GOD on the same throne at HIS right hand.  

And Jesus will judge both the quick (living) and the dead.

His judgement will be righteous and holy.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that my Redeemer lives and is GOD.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

How to live under the Grace of GOD!

Paul writing to Titus advises that we are now under the grace of GOD.  Therefore salvation is ours.  Received through the Grace of GOD and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary.

So how do we receive the salvation, given freely, not earned?

We must respond in a way that shows GOD our appreciation of HIS grace and our acceptance of this grace.

We can do this by denying unGODliness and worldly lusts.  We can live soberly and righteously and be GODly even in this present age.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I am under YOUR grace.  Please keep me from unGODliness and help me to live righteously each and every day.  I humbly pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Awesome GOD!

 Our GOD is good and gracious and kind to those who love HIM.  You may notice that I said "to those who love HIM". 

The reason that I say that, is that GOD loves us.  GOD wants us all to be saved.  However, we can choose to accept this grace.  This grace comes through our faith in our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.  No one comes to the FATHER, except through Jesus.

But when we accept Jesus as our Redeemer, we accept the grace of GOD and GOD loves us and we love HIM.

Today, I witnessed the love of GOD again firsthand.  It is always astounding and truly amazing.  I have also just witnessed the most beautiful sunset, or as one of my friend's calls it, GOD ART!

Let us bow down tonight and worship our awesome and amazing GOD!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, tonight I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  I thank YOU for always being right there when we need YOU.  I thank YOU that YOU never leave us or forsake us.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The GLORY of GOD!

 As we contemplate the night sky and as we watch a sunrise or a sunset, it always strikes me that we are quite incapable of making anything to match these visions.

We can paint, draw and photograph.  We cannot create a night sky or a sunset or a sunrise.  We cannot make the earth stop turning.  We cannot change the number of days in minute or an hour or a year.

We are so terribly small compared to our FATHER.  Our CREATOR gave us all of this earth to live on, to take care of and to enjoy.

Let us right size our CREATOR.  For HE is awesome indeed!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER thank YOU for this earth that live on. Thank YOU for our lives.  Thank YOU that YOU loved us first.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD will supply all our needs!

 Whenever we worry about anything we have to turn to our FATHER in Heaven. GOD knows what we need.  But we need to ask GOD and then trust in GOD to provide what we need.

And our FATHER does not need us to ask, but HE wants us to turn to HIM and to trust in HIM>  Therefore, it is necessary to have a living, trusting relationship with HIM. 

This is done through taking everything to GOD in prayer.  Talking to GOD daily, whether in prayer or not is important.  Daily reading our Bible.  And listening to the word of our FATHER which will come to us in a multitude of ways.  Through fellowship with like minded Christians.  Through our daily Bible readings and when GOD talks to us in our prayers. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I trust in YOU to provide for all my needs.  I trust FATHER that YOU will supply my needs in accordance to YOUR riches in the Glory and Grace you extend to me through my faith in Jesus Christ.  I pray all of this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The inerrant word of GOD!

 

I believe that nothing in the Bible is by accident.  Nothing in the Bible is random and I take the Bible very literally.  

And that is why tonight's verse is particularly close to my heart.  All Scripture is GOD breathed.  I believe this.  And it is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.  This is to equip each Christian to be able to be a good disciple.

Only when we know the Scriptures and understand that our GOD put them in place for us, can we confidently spread the good news.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, teach me the Scriptures through my daily reading.  Give me a heart of understanding and grant me the wisdom to memorize YOUR word.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

One GOD!

 

Our GOD is sovereign. Our GOD is our CREATOR.  Our GOD is three persons, GOD the FATHER, GOD the SON and GOD the Holy Ghost.

So when GOD sent HIS Son, one of the Triune GOD to this earth, Jesus was given the power to judge us when HE conquered death and returned and sits with the FATHER on HIS throne at HIS right Hand.  Jesus is our only mediator.

If we do not accept Jesus, we reject GOD.  

It is that simple.  One GOD, one mediator and that mediator is our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

Before the rapture, accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour.  It may be too late even tomorrow.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that Jesus is my Lord and my Saviour.  I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Pursue Righteousness!

 

As we see the world changing rapidly about us, it is so easy to get discouraged and to feel that there is no light in this world.

It is then and particularly then that we need to follow this verse as Paul wrote.  And then we need to pursue all of the above, righteousness, Godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

For these are the qualities that GOD wants us to develop and to grow.  We are being refined for our eternal lives.  The challenges of this world are there to develop our faith and to grow our hope in the future with our FATHER in Heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I pray that YOU grant me the wisdom to develop in righteousness, faith, GODliness, love, endurance and gentleness.  I also want to improve on my humility.  I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD has loved us!

 

When I think about GOD and HIS great love for me, my heart skips a beat.  How can I, being such an ordinary person, command the love of the CREATOR or all things?

Yet, I know that GOD loves me because HE sent Jesus Christ to die for me, so that I might have a chance of accepting eternity with HIM.

What a magnificent FATHER CREATOR we serve!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU loved me first.  FATHER I adore YOU.  YOU are my all in all.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Confess our Hope in Jesus!

 

GOD is faithful to keep HIS promises. There are many promises GOD has made which have been fulfilled.  And GOD promises us that HE will never leave us or forsake us.

While we have free will to accept Jesus Christ and confess our sins and through faith we are saved by the Grace of GOD, GOD never gives up on any of us.

It is our choice.  Life or death, GOD or a fiery pit.

Today, know that the promises GOD made concerning our future stand.  We can take Jesus Christ as our LORD and Saviour any time. Do not delay.  The signs of the end of times are ever increasing and we need to delay no more!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I choose eternal life with YOU and my Redeemer Jesus Christ.  FATHER, I know that I am a sinner.  Forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  FATHER give me a heart of humility and a heart of gratitude.  This I humbly pray in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Trust in the LORD!

 

If we will but trust and obey.... GOD has a plan for us.  GOD knows HIS plan for us and if we will firstly 

Believe in Jesus as our Redeemer;

Accept the grace of GOD and not rely on our own deeds to save us;

Confess our sins;

Then GOD reads our hearts.  GOD indwells us with HIS powerful and mighty Holy Spirit.

GOD then accepts us as co-heirs with Jesus Christ.

This means that we can inherit an eternal life to spend with Jesus our Lord and our Saviour.

We simply cannot rely on our own understanding of what constitutes good.  We need the Holy Spirit to live in us and to guide us.  To comfort us and to heal our sinful ways.

Today, call upon the name of Jesus Christ and be saved!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today, I come to YOU with an attitude of gratitude.  I thank YOU for the faith that I have.  I thank YOU for YOUR gracious forgiveness of my sins.  I thank YOU that I am indwelt with YOUR Holy Spirit.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

In everything give thanks!

 

Today let us follow this verse that Paul wrote to the Thessalonians all those many years ago and give thanks for everything.

Let us rejoice evermore.  Let us pray without ceasing.

For this is the will of GOD in Jesus Christ concerning you and I. 

Let us do this today.  For this is the will of our FATHER in Heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today, I rejoice in this day that YOU have made.  I pray without ceasing to YOU, ABBA FATHER.  I thank YOU for the day.  I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  I thank YOU for my family and my friends.  I thank YOU for the home that I live in and the food and clothing that YOU have provided me with.  I thank YOU that I am fit and able bodied to be able to work and be active.  I thank YOU for all that I have and all that I am.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Work for the LORD!

In everything we do, we should pray first and then do it as if doing it for the LORD.  We should not aim to please mankind, but rather work for our FATHER in Heaven.

This way, whatever we do should be aimed at bringing glory to our FATHER.

It is the only way we can really show our appreciation of HIS grace in favour and in sending HIS Son to this earth as our Redeemer.

From today let us make a concerted effort to do everything as if we are doing it for GOD.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU saved me through YOUR grace.  I humbly ask that as I perform even the smallest task, I do it as if doing it for YOU and to bring glory to YOU on earth.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Goal is Jesus Christ!

 Paul, in this letter to the Philippians says that most important part of salvation is Jesus Christ.  And we, as Christians aught to know this.

Without faith and belief in who Jesus is and what He did on earth and on that cross for us, is to deny the very grace of GOD.

Can you imagine being Jesus and knowing that you have to come to earth, live a blameless, sinless life, be tempted, minister and call disciples, be tortured and hung on a cross to die?

It is to dreadful to contemplate.  But GOD loves you and I so much that HE gave HIS only begotten Son to this work so that you and I might have eternity with HIM.

Do not deny the gift of grace.  Accept it and embrace it and take Jesus as Lord of your life today if you have not done so.  

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and I thank YOU for Jesus.  Jesus is my goal.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Obedience to the LORD!

 Jesus warned on calling on the name of the LORD and thinking that we are automatically entering into the kingdom of Heaven and we will be saved.

We need to be obedient to the will of our FATHER in Heaven.

So how do we know the will of GOD?

GOD wants us to love HIM above all else.  Then HE wants us to love our neighbours as our ourselves.  

Once we have accepted Jesus as our Redeemer, and we have asked GOD to forgive our sins under the conviction of the Holy Spirit, we are called on to do the Will of GOD.  

GOD has given us good works to do.  We can take these opportunities or we can ignore them.  That is our free will.  But in order to know what GOD has prepared for us, we need to have a living healthy relationship with our FATHER.  We need to read HIS word. We need to pray about everything and we need to listen to Holy Spirit who lives in us.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I pray today that I do as YOU would have me do, rather than as I would do.  Have YOUR way in my life.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Live for Jesus!

 Jesus is our Saviour and our Redeemer.  The only reason that Jesus added humanity to His deity was to come to this earth and save us from our sin that has separated us from our FATHER in Heaven.

Had Jesus not come to this earth and died on that Cross for us, we could not have been reconciled to GOD.  Our works and our deeds will never out weigh our sins.

We are born into sin and we will die as sinners.  But through the propitiation of Jesus on that Cross taking our sins onto that Cross with Him, we can be saved by the Grace of GOD.

So as Paul says to the Romans above, if we live we live for the LORD and if we die we die for the LORD.

And again, I humbly ask all reading this, if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and your Saviour, do so now.  Time is marching on and we do not know when Jesus is coming back to fetch His bride to be with Him in Heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour in sending Jesus Christ to take my place on that Cross.  I know that I am a sinner.  Forgive me FATHER as I forgive all those who sin against me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay strong in Jesus!

 When we believe in Jesus Christ, we are filled with the Holy Spirit.  But it is as Paul writes in his letter to the Ephesians, we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world.

And at no time is this more evident than now.  Our politicians and leaders appear to have little or no concern for the people..  There are so many that are corrupt and morally bankrupt.  There are wars and rumours of wars.  There are volcanoes, hurricanes, floods, fires and troubles abound.

Now is the time to be in Jesus Christ.  We need to take hold of the grace offered to us by GOD.

We need to know Jesus Christ, and believe that GOD knew how evil and wicked this world is, that HE made a plan to give us a way to still enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

And Jesus is that way.  Jesus is THE WAY, Jesus is THE TRUTH and Jesus is the LIFE.  No one will get to the FATHER except through the grace of the FATHER by the belief in HIS SON.

Today, accept Jesus Christ as LORD and SAVIOUR.  Do not delay.  For it seems that hour is very close and we have very little time to be saved.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  FATHER tonight I accept Jesus as my Lord and my Saviour.  FATHER forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  FATHER, I humbly pray that anyone reading this who has not accepted Jesus has their eyes opened by YOU.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Rapture!

 The Rapture is coming soon.  We are living in the end of times.  The Bible tells us about the end of times and even Christ Himself said:

Matthew 24:26-28 King James Version (KJV) 26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Jesus is coming in the clouds to fetch His bride, the Church, and to take us back to Heaven.  He has prepared a place for us, for in His FATHER's house are many rooms.

Be expectant and keep watch.  Pray continuously.  Ask GOD to forgive your sins daily.  We all sin.  Most of all keep in a living and loving relationship with GOD.  For we know not the hour or the times, but it is near.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I pray that YOU forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  I pray that YOU fill me anew with YOUR Holy Spirit.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
