Slavery!

 Christ came to set us free.  From sin.  Sin enslaves us.  The more we sin, the more our hearts are hardened to our faith.

When we become entangled in sin, we weave our way deeper and deeper and in so doing move further and further away from GOD.

To admit that we are sinful, having been convicted by the Holy Spirit through our belief in Jesus Christ, sets us free and moves us back towards a loving relationship with our FATHER in Heaven.

No longer are we burdened by our sins of the past because we know that although we cannot change the past, GOD has forgiven us.  That is our freedom in Jesus Christ.

Today, if you have not done so, accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.  Confess this truth with your mouth.  The Holy Spirit will come and indwell you and you will know where you have sinned and when.  Then you are in a position to pray to GOD earnestly and to ask for HIS divine grace of forgiveness.

Once you feel the burden of your sin lifting, you will know that you are no longer a slave to sin.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I pray that all those who read this and believe in Jesus Christ, will come to YOU and confess this truth.  Fill them with YOUR Holy Spirit FATHER, and when they ask, forgive their sins FATHER. I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Oh ye of little faith!

 Jesus compared faith as small as a mustard seed being able to move mountains.

We should consider this.  How strong is our faith?  Are we afraid and fearful?  Then we do not know how amazing our FATHER in Heaven is.

Our FATHER can do anything and everything.  How do I know this?  Because all I have to do is to look around me.  

We cannot invent planets. We cannot invent the stars.  We battle to generate electricity.  GOD invented the sun and the moon.  I do not remember how much energy the sun generates, but I do know that if we could harness the energy of the sun, we would never build another power station again.

GOD invented the rain. GOD invented the seas and the rivers.

None of which we can do.  So that is how large and amazing our FATHER is.  And knowing this, if we have faith in GOD, enough, would we not move mountains?  I think we might.  Therefore we need to grow our faith.

This is done through knowing GOD, by reading HIS word and by prayer and through other like minded Christians.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for everything that YOU do.  All that YOU have done and all that YOU are still doing.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Be thankful!

As little children we are taught by our parents to be thankful and to say thank you for each and every thing that we receive.

But let us consider what GOD has given to us all without a single thank YOU.  HE created for us the Heavens and the earth, before HE even created man and woman.  HE created food and the means to clothe ourselves.  HE created the sea and the dry land.

GOD created everything.  And the very least we can do is to appreciate what HE has done for us and to give thanks each and every day for all our blessings.

As one of the posters that I have put says, "what if tomorrow morning you woke up with only the things that you thanked GOD for today?"  So today let us come before our Heavenly FATHER with an attitude of gratitude and be thankful.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU loved me first and that YOU created the Heavens and the earth for me to live in.  I thank YOU for all that I have and all that I am.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of my Lord and my Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

False Teachers

 Jesus warned us about false prophets.  And today if we are aware of what the Bible says, the world is full of false teachers.  There are people preaching prosperity.  Give the church 10 Rand and get back a small fortune.

There are teachers who do not even know or read their Bibles.  This is definitely one of the signs of the end of times and of the great tribulation that is coming to this earth.

So let us be true to GOD and read our Bibles.  Let us know the word of GOD.  Let us be in constant prayer with GOD.  Let us ask GOD to guide us and lead us and most of all let us ask GOD for wisdom to discern false prophets.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I ask for wisdom to discern right from wrong and to know the Truth.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
