Hear the Word!

Hearing the word of Jesus is not enough.  We have to believe in GOD and we have to believe that GOD sent Jesus to live on earth, to die on a cross, taking all our sins with Him to wash them as white as snow.  We have to believe that Jesus conquered death, that He rose from the grave and that He ascended into Heaven, to sit at the right hand of GOD our FATHER.

So today, I would dearly love all reading this to not only hear the word, but to believe the Word.

Prayer:  Dearest FATHER, I pray today that all reading this will not only hear YOUR word, but will believe in Jesus as their Saviour.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus is GOD!

Jesus is GOD.  We need to understand that when we accept Jesus, we accept GOD.  And Jesus is the truth.  Jesus intercedes on our behalf with the FATHER in Heaven.

Therefore, by accepting Jesus as our Saviour, we have been placed as "heirs with Jesus".  We become children of GOD.

Today, please, if you have not done so, accept Jesus as your Lord and your Saviour.  Ask GOD to forgive your sins, and do not forget to ask GOD to help you to forgive all those who sin against you.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that Jesus is my Lord and my Saviour.  I pray that through this blog, more and more people will come to accept Jesus as their Lord.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay wondrously GOD blessed today!

Jesus is GOD!

Our GOD is a triune GOD.  That means a GOD in three persons, GOD the FATHER, GOD the Son and GOD the Holy Spirit.  And Jesus, being the Son, was with GOD when GOD created the Heavens and the earth.  GOD spoke the Universe into being.  And we know from the above verse, that Jesus is the Word.

So when we accept Jesus, we accept GOD and we accept the Holy Spirit.  In fact, when we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, we are filled with the Holy Spirit and Jesus comes to live in us.  We are asked to repent, and this means to "change our minds".  But in real terms, it means we experience a complete change of heart.  Our hearts become "For Jesus".

All of a sudden, the cares of this world fade and when we are anxious about anything, we will find peace when we call on the name of Jesus.

So today, if you are anxious, worried or frightened, I urge you to call on Jesus Christ.  Invite Him to come and live in your heart.  You will be truly amazed at the transformation in your attitude.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I love YOU and I thank YOU that Jesus lives in my heart.  I pray that anyone reading this, who has not yet called on the Name of Jesus Christ, will do so tonight.  I pray, FATHER, that YOU will fill them with YOUR Holy Spirit and give them YOUR peace which transcends all understanding.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay wondrously GOD blessed today!

Jesus coming!

John, the disciple of Jesus saw and wrote what he saw in Revelations.  And it is very clearly written that every eye on earth shall see Jesus coming again.

Can you even imagine something so large that every single eye on earth will see it coming, whether you are in Canada, the Antarctic, Australia, Japan or South Africa?

And that is how big our GOD is.  And we need to constantly remind ourselves that GOD holds the universe in HIS hands.  HE is the CREATOR, not the CREATED.

HE created time, space and matter.  And we exist only because there is time, space and matter.  GOD is above that and beyond that.  And that is why when Jesus comes again, every eye will be able to behold His coming.  Be ready!  We do not know when He is coming, but GOD keeps all HIS promises and we are promised that Jesus is coming back!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I pray tonight that I am ready for the coming of Jesus.  Please help me to share with others the fact that Jesus will come again.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Judgement!

Jesus has been appointed the Judge of us all by GOD.  That is why no one comes to the FATHER except through the Son.  Jesus is the only way.  Jesus is the only truth.  Jesus is the only way to eternal life with GOD.

We are going to be judged by Jesus.  So it is very important to accept that Jesus is the Son of GOD.  It is important to believe that Jesus conquered death, that He died on the cross and took all our sins with Him.

It is important that we recognise that we are sinners.  We need to confess our sins to GOD and ask GOD to forgive us so that we no longer have to pay any price for them.  They have been washed clean by our Lord and our Saviour.

Prayer;  ABBA FATHER, I confess that I know that Jesus is the way to YOU.  He is YOUR Son.  I pray in the Holy Name of Jesus that you will forgive my sins as I forgive all those who sin against me.  Amen.

Stay wondrously GOD blessed today!

Humility

Humility!  What a difficult thing it is in this modern world where everyone is expected to achieve.  And not only to achieve, but to be acknowledged in the most public of forums for their achievements.

But Jesus was very clear on this subject.  We should not seek exaltation on earth, but rather save up exaltation for our heavenly life.  And that is exactly the opposite of what is required on earth.

So today, let us practise humility.  Let us not think ourselves greater than others.  Let us not speak or act to gratify the earthly body.  Rather let us store up for ourselves our treasures in heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, give me humility and show me how to be more humble each day.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Forgiveness!

When we accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour, and we confess with our mouths that Jesus is our Redeemer, we need to confess to GOD that we are sinners and we need to ask GOD to forgive our sins.  In the same way that GOD removes our sins from us, so we need to forgive all those who sin against us.

This is what this verse is talking about.  When we are convicted by the Holy Spirit, we know that we are sinners and that we fall short of the glory and grace of GOD by miles and miles.  But blessed are those who, knowing this, are able to fully forgive all those who have sinned against them.

So today, let us sit down and think about all the sins we can remember and ask GOD to forgive us.  Then let us forgive all the sins that we can remember being perpetrated against us in the same way that GOD has forgiven us.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I accept Jesus as my Lord and my Saviour.  I know that I am a sinner, FATHER, so today I humbly ask that YOU forgive my sins.  FATHER, I forgive all those who sin against me.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ for YOUR grace.  Amen.

The Grace of GOD

When Jesus died on the cross, He took all of our sins onto that cross and He washed them as white as snow with His own blood.   But all throughout His life on earth as a mortal man, but being GOD, Jesus lived to GOD and for GOD.  He was completely sinless so that as the pure lamb, He could be slaughtered as a living sacrifice to save us from eternal death.  And from eternal hell.

And all that we have to do to accept this sacrifice and to have an eternal life in Jesus is to accept this fact and have faith that Jesus came to earth, lived on earth, died on a cross and conquered death by rising on the third day and ascended into Heaven.  There He sits at the right hand of GOD our FATHER.  And Jesus is the judge.  No one comes to the FATHER except through Him.

Today, I would urge you to put your faith in Jesus.  Accept Him as your saviour.  Accept the grace of GOD and accept eternal life through Jesus.  Confess your sins.  Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and the Grace of GOD will be upon you.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I pray for all reading this who have not accepted Your Grace that they may do so.  I pray to YOU FATHER, my Lord and my Saviour, Jesus Christ and to the Holy Spirit.  Come and live in us.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay graciously GOD blessed today.

I pray that Christ may dwell in you!

Today let us meditate on this magnificent prayer that Paul in his letter to the Ephesians prayed.

Paul prays that out of the glorious riches of Christ, Christ may strengthen us with power through His Spirit into our inner beings.  This resulting in Christ dwelling in our hears through faith.

Furthermore this results in us being rooted and established in love - the love of our Redeemer.

What a powerful thought to contemplate today.  And all we need to do is to have faith.  Faith that Jesus is indeed our Redeemer.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for this reading today.  I thank YOU that I can have all of this power and strength and love through the faith that I have that Jesus is my Lord and my Redeemer.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay gloriously GOD blessed today!

Jesus is the only WAY!

The Son knows the FATHER.  And Jesus said that no one knows who the FATHER is, but the Son.  Therefore, the only way that we can get to spend eternity with our FATHER is through HIS Son Jesus.

Today, I would urge you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and your Saviour.  Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.  Admit that you are a sinner.  We are all sinners, so I am not asking you to do anything that I am not doing myself.  We all fall short of the glory of GOD.  No one is deserving of the Grace of GOD.  But Jesus died for us so that we can be forgiven for our sins.

Do not delay for we know not when Jesus will return and then it is too late.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I admit that I am a hopeless sinner.  I accept Jesus as my Lord and my Saviour.  FATHER forgive my sins as I forgive all those who sin against me.  Most of all FATHER, fill me with YOUR Holy Spirit.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay wondrously GOD blessed today!

Rejoice!

This is such an inspiring verse. Rejoice in our confident hope!.  So what are we to rejoice about?  Our confident hope that we have a Saviour, a Redeemer, an Intercessor, a Mighty Counsellor and our CREATOR all on our side.

And all we have to do is to keep on praying!  And keep patience during times of trouble.

When I look around at all the trouble in the world, it is so easy to lose hope.  But if we are children of GOD, and we all are, then we have hope when we accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I am so glad that my hope is not in the things of this world, which are so fleeting and so fickle.  I thank YOU that my is in YOU and Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  I pray this in the Holy Name of my Redeemer. Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay amazingly GOD blessed today!

Love!

When we love GOD and when we love Jesus, suddenly we can bear anything.  That is why the greatest commandment of all is to Love the Lord our GOD with all our hearts, with all our souls, with all our strength and with all our minds.

This love knows no bounds.  This love holds us in times of darkness, in times of trouble and indeed, in all times.  We can truly know the love of our FATHER, when we love HIM above all else.

Prayer;  Dearest FATHER in Heaven,  I love YOU above all else.  YOU are my strength and my shield.  YOU alone are my real caregiver and I thank YOU FATHER, for all that I have, for all that I am and for all that YOU do for me.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Trust in GOD and in Jesus our Saviour!

We are going through trying times.  A lot of us feel restricted and resentful.  But it is exactly at times like these that we need to remember that GOD has a plan for our lives.  GOD is in charge.  Not ourselves, not our Governments, not COVID.

This is a time for prayer and most of all, this is a time to trust GOD as HE is in charge.

Prayer;  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU that I can put my trust in YOU and in Jesus, my Redeemer. I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay truly GOD blessed today!

Patience!

The one thing that I really battle with is patience.  By nature I am not a very patient person. And I also battle with humility and gentleness.  They just seem to be so contrary to my very nature.  I must say, however, that as my relationship with GOD gets closer and closer, these attributes seem to come easier to me.  I still remain stubborn, headstrong and at times extremely impatient, but overall, prayer does help.

So to all you fellow children of GOD out there, there is hope in Jesus.  We just have to take everything to Him in prayer.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that YOU will give me patience, humility and gentleness.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay truly GOD blessed today!

Christ lives in me!

Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we are no longer living for ourselves.  We are living for GOD.  And Christ comes to live in us.

This is the Grace of GOD.  And this Holy Spirit who will fill us, will show us when we sin.  This Holy Spirit will guide us to be in a better, closer, more real relationship with our FATHER in Heaven.  This Holy Spirit will help us to grow spiritually and if we ask, will open our eyes to the will of GOD.

So today, accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour if you have not done so and watch how your life will change.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly ask that YOU fill me with YOUR Holy Spirit today.  Open the eyes of my heart to see YOU better.  I pray this in the Holy Name of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay truly GOD blessed today!

Do not test GOD!

Jesus was tempted by Satan to show that He was the Son of GOD.  But Jesus did not submit to any temptation.  Instead, He replied that it is written that we should not put our FATHER to the test.

This is indeed something that we should also bear in mind.  We should never put GOD to the test.  We should always, when we feel tempted to test GOD, know that we are being tricked by Satan into sinning most grievously.  When this happens, we need to pray fervently to Jesus to help us.

Let us consider the times that we know we are being tempted to sin and let us take all of this to our FATHER in Heaven.

GOD will never give us more to bear than we can handle and temptation is always easy to give in to.  So let us grow in Jesus to become more like Jesus so that we too can overcome the temptations of this world.  Let us pray to GOD about everything.  And let us pray through our Redeemer, our Intercessor, our Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Always.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I have Jesus in my life.  FATHER make me more like Jesus every day so that I can recognise temptation and resist it. I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Children of GOD!

We are so privileged to be able to call ourselves "heirs with Jesus" and children of GOD!  This is a privilege that comes with responsibility.  As children of GOD, we need to act in a manner that gives all the glory back to GOD.  Therefore we need to be kind, gentle, humble, slow to anger and generous with all the blessings that GOD has lavished on us.

In order to live up to these standards, we need to be in a loving, living relationship with Jesus and GOD our FATHER.  We need to accept the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and we need to humbly ask our FATHER to convict us when we are not living up to this.

If we read the Word of GOD each day and if we pray to GOD about everything, HE will help us to grow to be more like Jesus and less conforming to the ways of this world.  We will find ourselves considering the plight of others before we consider our own plight.  And this is the way it should be.

GOD should be first in our lives, GOD should be last in our lives and we should be last, not first.  Our neighbours must be in the middle.  And then we are in a true relationship with our FATHER in Heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I am YOUR child.  Help me to grow to be more like Jesus.  Help me to love my neighbour more than myself.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay truly GOD blessed today!

Fear Not! We have Jesus on our side!

How can we be afraid if we are children of GOD? If we have Jesus on our side, then surely we must know that our GOD is more powerful, stronger than anything on this earth and HE created everything.  So we should never fear anything in the presence of our FATHER in Heaven.

Fear is a natural emotion.  Children fear the dark.  We fear economic ruin, crime, COVID and a multitude of things.  But are these fears rational when we are true believers?  When we go back to the above verse.  Jesus was asleep with His disciples in a boat sailing on the sea of Galilee when a huge storm came up.  The disciples were terrified and called on Jesus to wake up.

Jesus got up in the boat and rebuked the sea. And immediately the sea calmed and the wind died down.  So if Jesus can do that, then obviously we need to present all our fears and worries to Him daily.  We need to take our fears to GOD in prayer.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I can bring my fears and concerns to YOU.  Help me not to fear the things of this world FATHER and grant me YOUR peace which transcends all understanding.  I pray this in the Holy Name of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay peacefully GOD blessed today!

Forgive one another as GOD forgives us!

If we cannot forgive one another, how can we expect GOD to forgive us?  This is always a dilemma.  As frail sinners, we want to bear a grudge and get even when we feel harmed or slighted.  But Jesus came to the cross and He died and took ALL of our sins with Him onto that cross.

So although we may consider that the harm we have done to others is far less than they have done to us, GOD does not see it that way.  For the Bible is very clear.  All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of GOD.

So when we ask GOD to forgive us, consider what sins we have committed and then consider what sins we perceive have been committed against us and as we ask GOD to forgive us, then let us let go of the sins against us and forgive unequivocally those who have sinned against us.  No matter how great or how small we think that those sins are.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and I humbly ask that YOU forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay graciously GOD blessed today!

Jesus came to fulfill the Prophecy of the Old Testament.

Jesus came to fulfill the Prophecy of the Old Testament and also to fulfill the law.  Jesus did not have access to the New Testament and all that He preached was from the Old Testament.  This is something that a lot of people do not seem to understand.

Jesus did not once say that we may disregard the ten commandments.  We need to follow the laws as laid down on Mount Sinai when Moses was given the commandments.

So let us never consider that we are not called to follow the Old Testament and its teachings.  These are all relevant to the way we need to live our lives today!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER,   I thank YOU that Lord Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies concerning being our Saviour and our Redeemer.  I thank YOU that Lord Jesus is my way to YOU.  I thank YOU in the Name of my Redeemer, Lord Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The transfiguration of Jesus!

We all think of Jesus, gentle, meek and mild.  But we forget that Jesus is GOD!  And as such, He is Holy.  He is so much more than we can ever hope to be.  And when we see Jesus coming back, He is not coming back as a mortal man.  He is coming back as the Son of GOD and we will see Him in the clouds.

And we will be completely overawed.  Jesus was seen as GOD by Peter and James and John.  And they described His clothes as being so white that no one on earth could bleach them so white.

And the sight of our FATHER in Heaven will definitely have us on our faces.  I do not believe that we will be able to stand before GOD unless HE commands us to do so.

In this context, we need to right size our GOD.  Our FATHER is awesome, amazing and most of all, HE is fully Holy.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, how privileged I feel to call YOU my FATHER.  Thank YOU FATHER for creating me.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay amazingly GOD blessed today!

Filled with the Holy Spirit!

When the veil is lifted - means when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and when we ask GOD to fill us with the Holy Spirit.  As we get into a relationship with GOD and we start to read HIS word daily, we need to ask GOD to open our eyes.  And to open the eyes of our hearts.

Once the veil is lifted, we can start to see the perfect glory of our FATHER in Heaven.  We can see Jesus reflected everywhere.  This is the veil lifted.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that the veil can be lifted to show us YOUR glory in everything.  I thank YOU FATHER that I have my Redeemer Jesus to follow and to show me the way to YOU.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay wondrously GOD blessed today!

We are forgiven through the blood shed on the cross!

The Grace of GOD!  That is the good news.  The news is that we do not have to be punished for our sins.  And how do we get to walk away from our sinful acts?

Well this is the wonderful plan of GOD.  Our Creator, our FATHER in Heaven, sent HIS only Son to this earth to die on a cross and to wash all our sins as white as snow.

In order to accept this free gift, we have to accept the fact that Jesus is the Son of GOD sent to this earth to set us free from punishment for our sins.

As soon as we accept this truth and confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, we are filled with the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sins and in so doing, we are able to ask GOD to forgive our sins.  This is a free gift and anyone reading this can accept this tonight.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I accept Jesus as my Lord and my Saviour.  Fill me with YOUR Holy Spirit.  FATHER, I humbly ask that YOU forgive my sins as I forgive all those who sin against me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay graciously GOD blessed today!
