Nothing can separate us from the love of GOD that is in Jesus Christ!

 GOD loves you and GOD loves me.  That is why GOD sent HIS only Son to die for us so that we might have eternal life with GOD.

And to get to that eternal life, we need to admit that we are sinners.  We need to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of GOD who came to earth as a man, born of a Virgin Mother.

We need to believe that Jesus died on that cross of Calvary taking your sins and mine to that cross so that we might have eternal life with GOD.  Jesus rose on the third day and conquered death so that when we die, we can have eternity with GOD.

Today, accept the fact that none of our "good works" or "good behaviour" or kindness is going to get us into Heaven if we do not admit that we are inherently sinful.  If we do not believe that Jesus Christ is the Only way to the FATHER, we are not going to Heaven.

So admit that we are sinners.  Believe in Jesus.  Call on GOD and be saved.  The Holy Spirit will come and take up residence in your heart today!  And I am more convinced than ever that nothing can separate us from the love of GOD which is in Jesus Christ.  Our Lord and our Saviour.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I know that I am nothing but a sinner.  Forgive me FATHER.  I know that Jesus Christ is my Redeemer.  I know that Jesus died in my place on that cross.  I call on YOU FATHER to send the Holy Spirit to fill me anew.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

This is the day that the LORD has made!

Every day was made by GOD.  

So just when we think we know it all, it may be time to consider what we do not know.

No man has ever made a day or a night.  No man has made a planet or a sun.  We have difficulty living on our earth.  We cannot control a pandemic.  We cannot control time.  We cannot alter the seasons.

All of these things are under the authority of our FATHER in Heaven.  HE made them all.  GOD set the stars in their places.  GOD made the galaxies and the universe.

GOD then made us.  And people have tried desperately to delude themselves that they do not have a GOD or a CREATOR.  

So just exactly how did the universe come about?  Did two nothings collide and with the resultant big bang of nothings, the universe was created?

I think not.  You cannot create something out of nothing.  But GOD can.

So today let us celebrate the day.  Because today is the day that LORD has made.  And our GOD is so great that we cannot even replicate the act of making a day.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for today.  I thank YOU for 2021.  I thank YOU for the seasons and the planets and the stars.  I thank YOU that YOU created us.  I thank YOU that YOU sent Jesus to this earth as a man to save me from my sins.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD is GOOD!

Our FATHER is truly amazing. Look up at the stars tonight and see the stars showing and declaring the majesty and righteousness of our FATHER.

Who can fathom GOD?  Who can imagine GOD?  For we are but sinners, and unless and until we accept Jesus, we are separated from GOD for all eternity.

Only through the grace of our FATHER and HIS truth can we be saved.  In order to be saved we need to believe in Jesus.

So today, accept the goodness of GOD.  Accept HIS truth.  Accept HIS light.  Accept Jesus Christ and be saved.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU for YOUR goodness and YOUR mercy and YOUR grace.  Thank YOU for my Saviour Jesus Christ.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Children of GOD!

 The Holy Spirit who lives in each person who accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, convicts us to be children of GOD.

As a child of GOD we have a responsibility on earth. 

To be advocates for Jesus Christ.

To confess our sins to GOD.

To spread the Gospel.

To be examples in every aspect of our lives, from our language to our thoughts to our actions.

To live lives that glorify GOD.

If we fail in these aspects of our lives, we are immediately convicted by the Holy Spirit and this indwelling of the Holy Spirit pulls us quickly and smartly back into line.

When we are not convicted by the Holy Spirit, we need to question whether in fact we are in a living and close relationship with GOD our FATHER.

Today, let us question our lives.  Are we living for GOD or for ourselves?

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER please help me to live my life to YOUR glory and Honour.  I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Holiness of GOD!

 Our GOD in Heaven is pure, righteous and Holy.  There is no darkness in HIM.  Jesus is also the light of the world.  Jesus, too is pure, holy and righteous.

Jesus is also the way.  Jesus is the truth and Jesus is the life.

Our FATHER cannot be around impure thoughts, unclean language, sin in any form.

That is why it is so important to accept Jesus as our Saviour.  No matter how hard we might try we are sinners.  We are born sinful.  Sin comes easily to all of us.  Even if we are not keen to admit this.

We can only have salvation through Jesus.  When we accept Jesus, Jesus takes our sins away.

Today accept the light.  Today accept the life.  Today accept the truth.  Take Jesus as your Lord and your Saviour.  Admit your sins.  And confess this truth to the FATHER in Heaven who is light.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER thank YOU for my Saviour Jesus Christ.  I simply cannot get to YOU without Jesus Christ. I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus came to save you and me!

 GOD loved you and me.  GOD loves you and me!.  GOD loves us and because of that great love, HE sent HIS only Son Jesus Christ to die on that cross of Calvary so that we do not need to spend eternity in hell.

We have a choice.  

• Accept the love of GOD.  
• Give GOD the glory HE is due.  
• Accept the gift of sacrifice that HIS Son made in our favour.

This gift comes with a proviso:

• We need to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour. 
• We also need to admit that we are sinners.  

If we do not admit that we are sinners, then what did Jesus do for you on that cross?

This is also a question that a lot of people really struggle with.  How am I a sinner when there are people out there far worse than me.  I go to Church.  I give to charity.  I am a nice person and the list goes on.

So the question you need to ask yourself is this.  

Do you put GOD above everything in your life?

Do you ever tell just a little lie?

Do you covet anything?

Do you ever look at anything with hatred or malice?

All of the above are sins.  All sins are sins just the same to our FATHER who is righteous and pure.  And the Bible tells us categorically:

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;".

So let us sum this blog up with our ABC's .  

Admit that we are all sinners.  

Believe in Jesus Christ.

Call on the name of our GOD for HIS mercy and grace.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER thank YOU for YOUR mercy and YOUR grace.  Thank YOU that YOU love me enough to send Jesus to be my Saviour.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Glory to GOD!

As we reach the end of the Christmas day for 2021l, let us give all glory to GOD.  Let us wish each other peace on earth and goodwill to all men.  Let us act as Jesus would.  Let us forgive and forget.  Let us move towards the beginning of 2022 renewed in our faith.  Renewed in our belief that Jesus came to be not only our Saviour, but also to show us the way to spend to eternity with GOD.

So now let us be more like Jesus each and every day.  Let us ask ourselves continually "what would Jesus do" when we have to make decisions.  Let us take everything in our lives in prayer to our FATHER in Heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for this Christmas reminder of the Saviour Son that YOU sent to die in my place on that cross of Calvary.  I humbly ask that YOU fill me anew with the Holy Spirit.  Give me a heart for Jesus and make me more like Jesus each and every day.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Alpha and the Omega!

 We serve an everlasting GOD.  Our GOD is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.

Our FATHER is GOD.  Our Saviour is Jesus.  Our Counsellor is the Holy Spirit.  And these three are the Triune GOD.  All three were there at the beginning of Creation.

All three were present when Adam sinned.  Jesus, the Son of GOD was therefore sent to Save the world - from eternity in hell.  

Without Jesus coming to the earth as a man, we could never attain the righteousness needed to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.  Only the coming of a Saviour could give us the way needed to atone for our sinful natures.

Nothing we can do of ourselves will get us into Heaven.  The only way to eternal life with our FATHER is through HIS grace and mercy in sending HIS only Son to die on a cross for us.  On that cross the FATHER poured out HIS wrath on Jesus.  All our sins are nailed to that cross.

So once we admit that we are sinners.  When we believe in Jesus and when we confess this truth, the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit takes up residence in our hearts.  The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sins.

But if we go back to sinning, we are just nailing our Saviour to that cross over and over again.

Tonight we celebrate Christmas Eve, the time of expectation of the arrival of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Time to reflect.  Time to anticipate.  Time to rejoice!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU for Jesus Christ.  Thank YOU for the Prince of Peace.  Thank YOU for the mighty Counsellor.  Thank YOU for YOUR immense grace and mercy.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay truly GOD blessed tonight!  May the peace and joy and love  of Jesus Christ fill your hearts and homes.  

 GOD had mercy on the world.  That is why GOD sent HIS only Son to this earth.

Tomorrow we celebrate Christmas Eve.  On just such a night, Mary and Joseph travelled to Bethlehem.  Can you imagine Mary and her apprehension?  It was a busy time of the year with everybody needing to travel.  Mary's  time to deliver the Messiah was close.  And there was no room for them at the inn.

So in a humble stable, Mary delivered the Baby Jesus.

And all of this to save our sinful souls!

Today as we prepare for the celebration of the Birth of our Saviour, I feel extremely privileged to be a part of the family of GOD.  I feel honoured that our CREATOR so loves you and me that HE would do this gracious thing for you and I.

Let us praise the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, to whom we owe our eternity with GOD!

Jesus is Coming!

 The Virgin Mary gave birth to a boy child - Jesus Christ.  This was two thousand years ago.  And we are now ready to celebrate another birthday of our Saviour.

It is s few days to Christmas.  A time that we remember that our Saviour added Humanity to His Deity and became a man on earth.

Jesus did this for you and for me.  And if you believe in the Rapture as I do, then perhaps we may have that to celebrate sooner rather than later.  It is fitting that we are ready for Christmas.  But are we ready for the rapture?  Are we ready to meet our Saviour in the clouds if He comes tonight or tomorrow or next week?

Let us contemplate the coming of Jesus.  What a wonderful thing it will be to see Him in the clouds calling out for us to join Him.

Will you go or will you stay?  Do you know?

It is such a simple thing to be saved and to know.  All you have to do is to admit that you are a sinner.  Believe in Jesus Christ.  Confess this truth with your mouth.  You will be filled with the Holy Spirit.

And you will then know whether you are going or whether you are staying.  It is up to you.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU that I know that if you come, I am going with YOU.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Blessings from GOD!

 If I think about my life, I am truly blessed by GOD.  I have a loving husband, beautiful children and wonderful grandchildren.  I have fantastic friends.  

I live in a lovely home surrounded by magnificent gardens.  

And yes, like you, I too have troubles and problems that I have to face.  However, I know that GOD loves me and GOD blesses me so richly.

Perhaps, if you are not feeling blessed, it is time to take stock.  It is time to walk in the garden, or along a path and marvel at the magnificent world GOD made for you and I to live in.  It is time to walk outside at night and look at the moon and the stars.  All made for us to marvel at.  

Then just ponder the creation.  GOD spoke it all into existence.  Think about it.  It takes us years to build a home or to build a building or to build roads and infrastructure.  GOD made it all in six days.

Then imagine Heaven. What a wonder that will be!

I feel truly blessed to be a child of the CREATOR GOD that I happily serve.

Tonight let us just count our blessings!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER thank YOU thank YOU thank YOU for all my blessings I thank YOU in the wonderful powerful Name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and my Redeemer. Amen.

Trust in the LORD!

When we accept that we are sinners and believe in Jesus as our Saviour, we are born into the family of GOD.  But this comes with a responsibility to GOD.

We can no live to ourselves and our own desires.  We are answerable to GOD.  And this means that we have to let go of our own will.

As we pray "Thy will be done", so we need to trust in the will of our FATHER for the best path we can take.

We need to pray about everything before we do it.  When we sin, we need to immediately repent and turn from our sin.  We need to be teachable in the ways GOD wants us to be going.  We need to take instruction from GOD before we do anything.

The way we know what GOD wants from us is through prayer and through a living close and intimate relationship with our FATHER.

Start your relationship with GOD today if you have not done so. Admit that you are a sinner.  Repent.  Believe in Jesus and ask GOD to fill you with HIS Holy Spirit.

Take the path of GOD and lean not on your own understanding any more.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that THY will be done in my life rather than my will.  FATHER today I pray that YOU lead my life and that I no longer lean on my own understanding but rather that I lean on YOU.  I pray this fervently in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

A new Creation!

 When we repent, it means that we do a one hundred and eighty degree turn on ourselves.  Our old ways need to be replaced with our new creation.  And the new creation, is exactly that.  It is a work in progress.  A work overseen by the Holy Spirit working in us to make us more like Jesus.

And if we claim to be "born again Christians" and the old remains, we are only deluding ourselves.

A new creation looks like something.  Exactly like a building being revamped.  Scaffolding gets put up to reach all the parts of the building.  Old paint and plaster and roofs are scraped off, removed and replaced with new plaster, new paint perhaps even a new roof. 

That is what needs to happen in our lives when we are repentant, believe in Jesus and confess this truth.  The Holy Spirit fills us and we do a U Turn on our old selves.

The old paint- the old ways need to be discarded.  We need to think new and better thoughts.  We need to read the Bible and to study the word of GOD.  So that we can follow the plan to a new and better creation of our selves.

We can no longer behave as we did in the past, unforgiving, selfish, badly behaved.  We need to be disciples of Jesus.  This means that we need to be aware of others who need our help.  We need to be aware of ourselves and our behaviour.  We are representatives of Christ on earth.  So we need to set good examples.

True new creations look like something.  And yes, this may be a work in progress, but the old should pass away and the new creation should start to emerge and that definitely needs to look like something.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I repent of my sins.  Help me to become more like Jesus so that I can be the example that I need to be of a new creation in Jesus Christ.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus is GOD!

 Jesus is GOD.  Jesus was with GOD in the beginning.  Jesus created all things that are in Heaven and on earth.

And Jesus then added humanity to His deity in order to come to earth.

Jesus, being GOD, could have saved Himself all the heartache and pain of His crucifixion on a cross if He had chosen to do so.

But Jesus took all our sins onto His sinless shoulders and carried them up to Calvary so that you and I might be able to spend eternity with our FATHER in Heaven.

Without the sacrifice of Jesus, very few of us could ever achieve Heaven and we would mostly be relegated to hell. 

We need the grace of GOD.  Will you accept it tonight?

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I accept YOUR grace and favour.  I accept Jesus Christ as my Redeemer.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Wonderful Counsellor, The Mighty GOD, The Everlasting FATHER, The Prince of Peace!

 Isaiah was a prophet.  And Isaiah paid attention to the word of GOD.  GOD here, in this verse tells Isaiah that HE, GOD, has made a plan to save the world.

Why?

Because we are sinful.  Adam sinned and separated us from GOD.  GOD then gave Moses the laws by which we should live.  And all of us constantly break those laws.  Whether we care to admit it or not.

We lie.  We are covetous.  We don't put GOD first.  We are idolaters.  We are jealous.  We simply sin.  That is down to our sinful natures.

So GOD knew that unless HE did something dramatic to save us from a life in hell, none of us would enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

The Plan!  Jesus Christ. He was sent as our Saviour.  To save us from our sins.  

If we do not believe in Jesus Christ.  If we do not believe we are sinners.  We simply put -are not saved.

We are then going to spend eternity in hell.  

Why would our GOD do this?  Because GOD has given us an alternative.  GOD is not bargaining with us.  GOD is never going to accept sin.  GOD is righteous and GOD is Holy.

Sinners cannot be in HIS presence. 

So, tonight, if you want to enter the Kingdom of Heaven one day when you die, admit that you are a sinner.  Believe in Jesus Christ as your Saviour.  Call upon the name of the LORD.  You will be saved.

And the Mighty Counsellor will take up residence in you.  The one that Jesus sent to be with us until He returns to fetch us home.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, HOLY FATHER, I know that I am a sinner.  I believe in Jesus Christ as my only Saviour.  I confess this truth with my mouth.  I say all of this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Anger of the LORD!

 We often hear people say : "I felt a righteous anger".  But we are not and never can be "righteous".  Most things that make us angry, in some way or another, we have done to someone else in some way or another.

Whilst we may never have killed a person, or physically stolen something, to GOD and in the eyes of GOD, all our sins are equally abhorrent.  For our GOD is a righteous Holy GOD.

Only when Jesus stands before us, can we even present ourselves to GOD.

Jesus is the only hope of redemption that we can possibly have.  And that is the new covenant.  The covenant that is given to us all through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  The hope that we have in Jesus of our absolution of sin and our eternity with GOD.

Without a belief in Jesus, we have no hope.  We can never be washed white of our sins.  We can never stand in the presence of our FATHER.  We can never be taken "home" with Jesus to a place that He went ahead to prepare for us in His FATHER's house which has many rooms.

So today, accept that we are all sinners.  Believe in Jesus Christ as the only Way, the only Truth and the only Life.  Confess this truth to GOD and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Time is running out for GOD to vent HIS righteous anger on this fallen world of ours and we do not want to be around to witness it.  It will be dreadful.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER thank YOU that I know that I will be spared YOUR anger which rightfully you have against the things that are happening on earth.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Son of Man

 Yesterday I wrote about Ezekiel.  And interestingly Ezekiel is called "Son of Man" by GOD.

And here in Matthew, again we read that the Son of Man will come at any hour.

Son of Man in Ezekiel refers to Ezekiel.  But in the New Testament, Son of Man refers to Jesus.

All of this is the emphasis on the work that Jesus did on earth to save you and I from hell.

Jesus was born of Virgin.  He had no earthly FATHER.  The Holy Spirit came over Mary and she conceived and bore Jesus.

The reason for this is so that the sinful lineage of Adam was not carried into Jesus.  Jesus was born of a Virgin birth so that He could go to the cross sinless and blameless.  He had to be these things in order to take our sins onto that cross with Him.

Ezekiel was very much born of a man and a woman.  And Ezekiel could not stand in the presence of GOD.

Jesus not only stands in the presence of GOD.  Jesus is GOD.  Jesus sits at the right Hand of our FATHER.  Jesus is given the task to judge.  

So today, are you ready to receive the Son of Man as He may arrive in the clouds to fetch His bride, (us - the children of GOD) home?

If not, then repent today.  Believe in Jesus.  Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU have poured YOUR grace out on a sinner like me.  I thank YOU that through my belief in Jesus I can be saved.  FATHER, forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  I pray all of this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Ezekiel - Son of Man!

 One of my very favourite people in the Bible must be Ezekiel.  Ezekiel saw visions of GOD and each time he saw them, he fell flat on his face.

That is how I imagine we are going to be when we finally stand in the presence of our CREATOR GOD.

Just the sheer power, majesty, holiness, righteousness and grace will leave us breathless and flat on our faces.

A lot of people imagine meeting GOD and I have listened to many discourse on what they are going to tell GOD when they finally get to meet HIM.  I know myself, I will be one of those just like Ezekiel.

Whenever I read the book of Ezekiel, I am always struck by how GOD says to him, "Son of Man".  Because that is what we are - children born of sinful men.  But Jesus was also referred to as Son of Man.  Because He came to save us from our sinful heritage. 

We are all born sinful.  And our sins will not allow us to stand in the presence of our FATHER.  Without Jesus Christ, we would never even get close to GOD.

But all grace and honour go to our Saviour, Jesus Christ.  For He came to this earth some two thousand years ago.  We are soon to celebrate His birth on earth - Christmas.

If it was not for that great sacrifice that Jesus made, we would never see GOD.  But for that fact, we are able to know that we can have eternal life with our CREATOR GOD.

Today, if you have not done so, confess that you are a sinner.  Believe in Jesus Christ as your Saviour.  Confess this truth with your mouth and get right with GOD so that one day, you can fall on your face with me in HIS mighty presence.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for sacrifice that Jesus made so that I can live eternally with YOU.  FATHER, I thank YOU that one day I may be able to fall flat on my face in YOUR divine presence.  I thank YOU in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Name of our GOD!

 There are many names for GOD in the Bible.  

1. Elohim

Elohim means “God” – This name refers to God’s incredible power and might. 

2. Yahweh

Yahweh means “The Lord” – Yahweh is derived from the Hebrew word for “I AM,”

3. Abba

Abba means “ Father” – Abba is the most intimate form of God’s name, showing us His character as our loving FATHER. 

4. El Shaddai

El Shaddai means “God Almighty” 

5. Jehovah 

 Jehovah means GOD 

However we say HIS mighty Name, I do know one thing, when we call on our FATHER, GOD is listening and GOD is watching.  GOD is Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent. GOD does not live in our time or in our dimensions.  GOD transcends time and dimension.

GOD is all powerful, all knowing, all seeing.  GOD is everywhere.  And GOD can read our hearts.

That is why it is so important to be right with GOD all the time.  Sin separates us from GOD because GOD is Holy and Righteous and where GOD is, sin cannot be.

Today, if you have not given your life to GOD, admit that you are a sinner, believe in Jesus Christ, confess this truth with your mouth.  GET RIGHT WITH GOD.  We do not know the hour that GOD will send Jesus in the clouds to fetch us home.  But if we are not ready, we are going to face the tribulation.  And it will not be good.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, YAHWEH, today, I confess that I am a sinner.  Forgive my sins as I forgive all those who sin against me.  I believe that Jesus Christ came to this earth and died to save me from my sins.  I believe that Jesus Christ rose on the third day to conquer death so that I might have eternal life with YOU.  I confess this truth with my mouth today.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Prayer!

 In everything we do, we need to pray to GOD.  When we are happy we need to pray.  When we are sad we need to pray.  When we are sick we need to pray.  When we are well we need to pray. 

I cannot express how important it is to pray about everything.  

Alone we are weak, but in Jesus we are strong.  Our FATHER knows this and that is why when Jesus ascended into Heaven, He sent the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit to live in us.  And the Holy Spirit is with us all the time.  The Holy Spirit will never leave us or forsake us.  When we pray, the Holy Spirit in us is with us in our conversations with our FATHER GOD.

Prayer is powerful and strong.  Prayer is always heard by GOD.  Prayer is always answered by GOD.  Maybe not in the way we would like it, but it is answered.

So, today, if you need prayer, pray.  GOD is listening and the Holy Spirit in you is talking to GOD with you.  You are not alone and your prayers will be heard.

All have sinned!

 For all have sinned.  Let us consider this statement and let us do more.  Let us tonight examine ourselves.

When we become children of GOD we have admitted that we are sinners.  We believe in Jesus Christ as our Redeemer.  We have confessed this truth and we are now filled with the Holy Spirit.

But it does not mean that we no longer sin.  We are born sinful.  And each and every day, we need to take time out to reflect on a few issues.  Have we done the will of GOD our FATHER today?  Have we taken time to spread the Gospel today where we could?  Have we sinned?

For each and every day we need introspection.  And a good time to do that is either first thing in the morning or last thing at night.

We need to spend time with GOD.  Reading HIS word, praying to HIM and asking HIM  to show us where HE wants us to work. Not only in our own lives but in the lives of others.

And each and every day, we need to ask GOD to forgive us where we have sinned.  As the verse above states, "ALL HAVE SINNED and all have fallen short of the glory of GOD.

The only way to salvation is to acknowledge that we cannot save ourselves from our sin.  Only through Jesus Christ have sacrificed Himself on that cross are we saved. 

If we do not acknowledge that we are sinners, we crucify Jesus again and again.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that I am saved by YOUR grace through the sacrifice Jesus made for me on the cross.  Forgive me today FATHER, for I am a sinner.  Forgive me for not doing things that I should have done.  FATHER forgive me for doing my will and not THY will.  I humbly ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD bless you tonight!

 After a long and trying week, it is sometimes really good to remember that through it all, our dear FATHER in Heaven was with us, every step of the way.

GOD shares our pain, our joy, our suffering, our laughter.  In fact GOD knows our going out and coming in.  GOD knows everything about us.  And through it all, GOD wants us to know and to acknowledge that we are beholden to HIM.

So let us put the week behind us but let us thank our FATHER in Heaven for HIS tender mercy in loving us, though it all. 

And tonight my prayer for you all is that GOD bless you all and fill you with HIS peace and HIS joy as we trust in HIM together.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU give me peace and that I know that YOU love me no matter what.  I thank YOU for Jesus, my Lord and my Saviour, my Redeemer.  FATHER, I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Wait on the LORD"

 When we are in need of assistance from the LORD, whether it be for sickness, for financial reasons, for family feuds or for any reason, we need to know that when we pray GOD is listening.

GOD hears all our prayers when we believe in Jesus Christ.  Jesus Christ is our mediator.  And our faith in Jesus assures us that GOD is listening to our prayers.

Now it does not mean that we are going to get our prayers answered in the way we want or the way that we think.  What it does mean is that GOD hears our prayers.

However, we do not know the ways of the LORD and in every instance, GOD's plans are far better than ours.

So whatever crisis you are facing, pray to GOD about it.  Take everything to GOD in prayer.  Watch, wait and be strengthened in the knowledge that GOD hears you.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are always listening to me.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Thank YOU LORD!

 We need to give thanks to GOD.  Thanks for our lives, thanks for our families, thanks for our friends, thanks for our Churches, thanks for our jobs.

We also need to give thanks to Almighty GOD for HIS abounding goodness, HIS grace, HIS love, HIS mercy and HIS graciousness towards us.

For it is ever so easy to forget to give thanks to GOD. 

We are always needy.  We always want prayers.  We always want help. 

And our Gracious FATHER looks down on us and gives us our daily bread.

If we ask GOD for HIS will to be done on earth rather than wanting our own way, this world would be a far happier place.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER I come to YOU tonight with an attitude of gratitude.  Thank YOU FATHER for the many blessings that YOU have showered on me.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

May the eyes of your heart be enlightened!

 What a beautiful thing Paul writes to the Ephesians here.  "I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which HE has called you, the riches of HIS glorious inheritance in HIS Holy people".

And that is my hope for all reading this.  May our eyes be enlightened to know GOD more and to know GOD more intimately and to seek GOD in order to know HIM more.

We cannot fathom GOD.  And we are told this many times in the Old Testament as well as in the new Testament. Isaiah 40:13 Who can fathom the Spirit of the LORD, or instruct the LORD as his counselor?

Romans 11:34 Who can fathom the mind of the Lord?

Job 11:7 Can you search out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limits of the Almighty?

Isaiah 40:28 Have you not known?  Have you not heard?  The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth,  Neither faints nor is weary  His understanding is unsearchable.

And this is our CREATOR FATHER.  Our FATHER who sent HIS only Son to die for you and for me.  

This is the hope of our eternal salvation through our faith in Jesus Christ.  What a marvellous GOD we serve.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU sent Jesus to give me hope.  I pray that the eyes of my heart may be enlightened in the hope of my salvation with YOU.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The New Covenant

 GOD always keeps HIS promises.  In the days of Jeremiah, GOD told Jeremiah that HE would make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah.  And GOD did that when HE sent HIS only Son to Israel to be born there.  

Jesus spoke to the Jews.  Jesus was a Jew.  Jesus gave them new laws to live under.  No longer did the people have to sacrifice to GOD in order to atone for their sins.  No longer did the people have six hundred laws to live by.  No longer did they have to face death and separation from GOD.

Now there was a new covenant.  A new way to get to GOD and a new way to make atonement for their sins.

All they had to do was to accept Jesus as their Lord and their Saviour.

And the Jewish people rejected the new covenant.  I am not talking about all Jewish people.  Some have come to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and their Saviour.  But the nation of Israel rejected GOD's Son and they rejected the new covenant.  

But GOD did so much more with the new covenant.  GOD gave the same sacrificial lamb to the Gentiles.  For that I am so grateful to GOD.  HIS goodness and mercy endures forever!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  I accept Jesus as my Lord and my Saviour.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Pre Tribulation Rapture!

As we are busy going through Revelation in the Bible in our Church studies, it occurred to me to do a blog on why I believe in the Pre Tribulation Rapture. This is my own belief and it is not a salvation issue. In other words, if you want to believe in a pre tribulation rapture, a mid tribulation rapture or a post tribulation rapture, it will not alter your salvation if you are a child of GOD. And by that I mean a follower of Christ who has admitted that you are a sinner, has believed in Jesus Christ as the Redeemer and has confessed this truth with your mouth.

Here we are, then,  and this is why I believe that we will be raptured before the tribulation. And, please do not shoot the messenger, all my blogs are written with love for Jesus Christ and with love for all my readers.

In this verse above Jesus was talking about this generation not passing away before these things would happen. Which is why I believe that we are living in the end of times. Taking it that Israel was born in 1948 and a generation being about 83 years, we do not have long to go.

But more importantly this verse above points to the bride of Jesus being removed so that we do not have to face the wrath of GOD.

Let us go to the next verse Jeremiah 30:7 "Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it." Here again, I believe Jeremiah is talking about the tribulation which we, the church of GOD will not be exposed to.

The next verse referred to above is Revelation 3: 10 "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."

Again, I believe this refers to the Rapture. From which I believe we will be spared.

1 Thessalonians 110 "And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come." (The Tribulation). 
1 Thessalonians 5: 4 "But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief." (The Rapture).

2 Thessalonians 2: 1 "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"

I believe that this falling away is the Rapture. 

Why do I believe this?  It is really simple.  GOD has promised to remove our sins from us as far as East is from West. I believe that when we accept Christ as our Redeemer, GOD looks as us through Jesus. Jesus is our intercessor.  Now we are not promised lives without troubles.  But I believe that we are promised that we will not face the wrath of GOD.

Therefore, GOD will send Jesus to save us from HIS wrath before HE meters it out upon the earth.  Why else did Jesus say ? John 14:3  "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

Throughout the Bible, Jesus and GOD kept each and every promise that they made to us.  And I believe that here Jesus is telling us that He will come to fetch us.

1 Corinthians 15:52 "in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." (Raptured). 

This is why I believe in the pre tribulation Rapture.  Please feel free to comment.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, no matter whether I am right or wrong about the Pre Tribulation Rapture, FATHER I thank YOU that I know that I will be raptured if that occurs during my lifetime on earth.  I thank YOU FATHER that I know and love Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Redeemer.  Come soonest FATHER to fetch your church home.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Light in the Darkness

 When you find yourself in a dark place, the instinct that we have is to look for the light.  Wake up in the middle of the night and it is dark and we automatically reach for the light.

The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it.

That is what Jesus is to us in our dark world. A light, the light. 

Walking to the light of Jesus will take us out of the darkness.  

Sin is darkness.  People committing sins do not usually want to be seen.  They want to hide.  When we sin, we want to hide.  That is because sin separates us from GOD - the Light.

Sin puts us into the darkness. 

The only way back from sin is true repentance.  GOD reads our hearts, and when we are truly sorry, GOD forgives us and that puts us back into the light, HIS light.  It also puts us alongside Jesus so that we do not have to face the wrath of GOD.  Jesus already did that for us.

Today, if you find yourself in the dark, walk towards the light.  Repent.  Turn away from your sin.  Ask GOD for forgiveness.  Walk back into the light without the burden of the darkness on your shoulders.

You will be filled with the Holy Spirit who will guide you away from sin, convict you when you sin and give you the humility to ask for forgiveness.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER thank YOU for YOUR light in my life - Jesus Christ.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus the Mediator!

Jesus is our mediator!  Jesus came to earth as a man and added humanity to His deity.  The reason that He came to earth was to give us redemption.  This is the redemption that sets us free from our burdens of sin that we carry about day to day.

Once we have accepted Jesus as our Redeemer, when we have admitted that we are sinners and when we have been filled with the Holy Spirit, we know that Jesus stands between us and the judgement of GOD.  Our sins are forgiven through our faith in Jesus. 

GOD has appointed Jesus to judge us.  But our belief in Jesus means that our sins are cast upon Him. What we need to do is to confess that we know that have sinned to gain this forgiveness of our sins. 

Before Jesus came to earth, in order to petition GOD, people had to bring sacrifices pleasing to GOD and the priests prayed for the petition to GOD.  After Jesus came to earth, there was no longer a need for sacrifices because Jesus sacrificed Himself in order that we may have direct access to GOD through Him and His intervention in our salvation. 

Today, accept Jesus as the Only Way, the Only Truth and the Only Life.  For Jesus truly is our only hope.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER I thank YOU for Jesus Christ my mediator.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Salvation!

 When we admit that we are sinners and we believe in Jesus, we can call on the name of the LORD to be saved and to be forgiven. 

Jesus is the Only Way, the Only Truth and the Only wat to Life everlasting with our FATHER in Heaven.  No one comes to the FATHER except through Jesus.

Our FATHER in Heaven was not frivolous in sending HIS only Son to die for our sins.  It was a deliberate plan to ensure that we could have salvation.

Each one of us is guaranteed eternity.  But where do you want to spend eternity?  In Heaven or in hell.

Jesus told His disciples, and it is recorded in Matthew 7: "13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 [a]Because narrow is the gate and [b]difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."

What exactly does this mean to you and I?

Well exactly what it says.  

When people tell you that they worship the same GOD as you do.  This is the question.  Did their GOD send HIS only Son to die for your sins.? And if the answer is no.  Then their god is not your GOD.  And he certainly is not my GOD.

And that is what Jesus meant when He said that the gate is narrow and few will enter in.

Please be one of the few today. 

Do not assume that GOD sent HIS Son to die in vain.  GOD sent HIS Son - Jesus Christ,  and if anyone does not believe this, they will not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

The key to unlock the gate is 

- admission to being a sinner

- belief that Jesus Christ is the Redeemer who died on that cross for you and for me.

- confession of this truth to GOD.

The Holy Spirit will then take up residence in you.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER I thank YOU that I am able to call on YOUR Name and I am thankful that I know Jesus Christ is my Lord and my Redeemer.  FATHER I thank YOU that YOU have poured YOUR Holy Spirit into me.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Repentance!

 The actual New King James Version reads like this:

"19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;"

But for the purposes of this blog, I have used the above illustration to drive home a point. 

And the point is this. If you have not admitted that you are sinner, then you need to do so immediately.  Because there is simply no other way to get back to being in a relationship with GOD.  If we do not know that we are sinners and have sinful natures, we are deceiving not only ourselves, but we are shunning the grace of GOD.  This grace of GOD is given to each one of us freely.  On the admission of guilt.

Repentance means a change of heart.  A one hundred and eighty degree turn around from who we were to who we are when we fully understand that GOD sent HIS only Son to die in our place in order to grant us redemption from our sins. Jesus died on that cross nailed there by your sin and my sin.  Past, present and future.

When we will not admit to being sinners, we make a mockery of our FATHER in Heaven's grace and favour.  We reject GOD and we distance ourselves from HIM.

To get back to a living relationship with GOD, we need to admit that we are sinners and ask for forgiveness.  We need to believe that Jesus is the ONLY WAY to GOD.  That Jesus died for you and for me.  GOD will then send HIS Holy Spirit to live in us and we will know when and where we sin.

But repentance looks like something.   It makes a better person of us.  Because all of a sudden, we no longer carry the burden of our past sins.  They are blotted out.  Forgiven never to be remembered by GOD again.  And this is a huge relief.  It gives us the courage to become new people before GOD.  But this renewal will show outwardly.

And this I know from personal experience.  I used to listen to swearing all the time.  Now it offends me deeply.  I used to tell lies.  Now when I lie, I am instantly convicted to tell the truth.  I used to lose my temper freely.  Now when I, I am instantly sorry and I need to ask for forgiveness.  This does not mean that I do not sin.   I am human and I will always sin.  It just means that I know when I sin.  I am instantly convicted. 

What I am telling you all is deeply personal.  But trust me, I have noticed changes in my life that I never thought possible.  And that is why I know that repentance looks like something.  I am not the person that I used to be.  And I cannot go back.  I can only go forwards into the loving arms of my Lord and my Saviour, Jesus Christ.  I never want to go back I will remain a sinner, but with the right heart for GOD, I am forgiven. And the burden of sin has been lifted.  

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I am a sinner.  Forgive me today.  Thank YOU FATHER for YOUR grace which I accept.  Thank YOU for sending Jesus to die in my place on that cross for my sins.  I accept YOUR grace and I ask for YOU to fill me with YOUR Holy Spirit.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
