Jesus lives!

 When Jesus takes up residence in us, as children of GOD, it is no longer our will that should be done, but the Will of our FATHER.

Therefore we need to give up our will and ask our FATHER that not our will, but HIS be done.

This ensures that we defer to the status of who we have become in Jesus.  

It is Jesus who lives in us. Today, let us resolve to give up our free will in favour of what GOD wants on earth.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I pray that THY will be done on earth and in my life.  I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

 There is no way to get to Heaven except through Jesus.  Do not be deceived.  When anyone from a different religion tells us that we worship the same god, let us ask one question.

"Did your god send his son to die for your sins?"  And if the answer is no, we are not serving the same god.

And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for [a]all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, [b]pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Again, I say do not be deceived.  

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, thank YOU for YOUR Son Jesus Christ, who came to earth to live as a man, sinless, to die on a cross so that I may be saved.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus betrayed!

 

Jesus accepted our punishment so that we can have salvation.

Just for a single moment, stop and imagine the pain, the suffering, the anguish, the humiliation that Jesus endured for us.

Then marvel that our FATHER in Heaven was willing to send HIS only Son to suffer so much for us.

We really need to be in awe of our FATHER in Heaven, without whose grace we would end up in hell forever.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  Thank YOU for my Lord and my Saviour, Jesus Christ.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Peace of Jesus!

Jesus does not promise us trouble free days on earth.  Jesus, in fact, states that He leaves us His peace.  Not peace as in or of this world, but His peace.

This world is so complicated and we have trials and tribulations on every front.  There is crime all around us.  The politicians are corrupt.   A lot of the leaders of the churches are morally bankrupt.  And we have family issues, financial issues, health issues to contend with.

But Jesus promises us one thing, that if we trust in Him and put our hope and faith in Him, He gives us His peace.  And that is truly amazing.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  FATHER, today I pray that YOU give me YOUR peace which transcends all understanding.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus Crucified

 Jesus died on that Cross of Calvary for you and for me.  For no other reason.  Jesus did not need to come to earth as a man.  Jesus came to save you and I and to give us the way to get back to GOD.

Every time we sin, after we have taken Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour, we crucify Jesus again and again.

Let us consider the Holy Spirit working in us.  Let us think about the times we sin.

Do we put GOD after or before everything in our lives? Are we greedy?  Do we covet?  Do we use bad language?  Do we tell little lies?

From this moment forth, let us resolve to listen to the Holy Spirit.  We know right from wrong.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU that the Holy Spirit lives in me.  FATHER I humbly pray that YOU open my eyes to my sins and convict me strongly when I sin.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus came to fulfill the law!

We need to understand that Jesus did not come to replace the ten commandments.  Jesus came to fulfill the ten commandments.

When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we are convicted of our sins.  This means that we know each and every time we sin.  And we simply cannot go on sinning in the same way.

For, if we wish to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, we need to follow Jesus.

Jesus worshipped HIS FATHER above all else.  Jesus loved HIS FATHER above all else.  Jesus did not take HIS FATHER's name in vain.

Jesus did not worship false idols.  Jesus did not steal.  Jesus did not commit a murder.  Jesus did not covet. Jesus did not commit adultery.

Jesus came to show us what we need to do in order to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.  We need to love the LORD our GOD with all our hearts, with all our minds and with all our strengths.

Jesus wanted us to love our neighbours as ourselves.

This is not to detract from any of the ten commandments.

Be aware that the gate is narrow and few will enter in.  Let us be convicted today and listen and be guided by the Holy Spirit now living in us.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, today I humbly ask that YOU teach me not to sin.  Help me FATHER to listen to the Holy Spirit living in me.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Only Jesus!

 There is no salvation in anything that we have done.  Nothing we can do will get us to Heaven except a belief in the Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Should we not believe in Jesus Christ, we are not going to Heaven.

Should we think that we can be "good people" we are not going to Heaven.

Should we compare ourselves to others and find ourselves better in our opinions, we are not going to Heaven.

There is only one way to get to Heaven.  And the gate is narrow and few will find it.

We must accept the fact that we are sinners, born sinful, and we simply will always be sinful.  The way to stop sinning or at least to be convicted of our sins is when the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in us.  This will only take place upon our acceptance of our sinful state, our belief in Jesus Christ as the only Saviour, and our confession of these facts to our FATHER in Heaven.

So, do not tarry.  Time is running out.  Jesus could come tomorrow and if you have not committed to GOD and Jesus, you will be left behind to face the tribulation.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU for YOUR enormous grace and favour.  Thank YOU for my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

False Teachers!

 As we see the signs of the coming of the Lord in the clouds to fetch home His bride, the Church, we need to be aware that many will come in the name of the Lord with false doctrine and false teaching.

People do not want to hear the word of GOD.  People want to hear that on this earth they are going to be prosperous.  That their sins here do not matter if they attend church.

But this is simply not the truth.  The truth is Jesus Christ.  Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.  We are not promised that we will not have trials and tribulations on earth.

What we are promised is that if we admit that we are sinners, believe in Jesus and confess this truth to GOD, we are saved.

No good works are getting us to Heaven.  No false teachings are getting us to Heaven.  No one on earth is going to get us to Heaven.

Only through the Grace of GOD are we saved.  Only through Jesus Christ, mediating for us can we get to Heaven.

Today, beware of false teachers telling us what we want to hear.  Fact check everything against the truth that is written in the Bible.  Fact check everything that people say that you hear that sounds like something you want to hear.  

Read the Bible.  Know the Bible.  Pray to GOD and listen to like-minded Christian people who truly know the Word.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, protect me from false doctrine and false teachers.  Help me to know YOUR will for my life.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The richness of the mercy of GOD!

 When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden, they were separated from GOD.  That meant that they were expelled from the garden of Eden and they were then subject to eternal death in their sin.

Once Jesus came to earth, He brought the grace of GOD down to earth for us through His life and death on earth and finally on the Cross.  When Jesus came, we received the Grace of GOD.  Forgiveness of our sins through the blood shed on the Cross of Calvary.

This proves the great richness of the mercy of our FATHER.  Whilst we were dead in our sins, HE still loved us enough to send HIS only Son to die in our place.

Surely goodness and mercy abound in our FATHER.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace.  I thank YOU for YOUR forgiveness of my sins through the blood shed for me on that Cross.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Rooted in Christ!

 When we accept Jesus Christ, He comes to take up residence in our hearts through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.  This faith needs to take roots and grow.  Building us up in our faith so that we are then abounding in our thanksgiving.

It is only when we are in Christ that we start to realize the full impact of what GOD has done for you and me.

HE has created the heavens and the earth.  HE has created a place where we are able to have oxygen to breathe in and water to drink.  Dry land to live on.  Food to eat.  Animals and birds.  Stars the sun and the moon.  The beautiful night skies to look at.

Our families, our friends.  All the co habitants of our earth.  

Then GOD went further, HE has given us our intelligence, our senses of humors, our languages.  GOD has given us the intellectual capacity to do something with our lives.  GOD has given us the ability to love one another.   GOD has given you and I freewill. 

Therefore we have to be grateful to GOD for so much.  But most of all, we should be grateful for Jesus Christ for coming to this earth to die on that cross so that you and I can have eternity with our FATHER in Heaven.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER today I come to YOU with an attitude of gratitude.  Thank YOU for all that YOU have done for me.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD works in us!

 Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we are filled with the Holy Spirit.  And if we give our free will over to GOD then GOD can start to work in us.

GOD knows the plans that HE has for this world.  For you and I.  GOD knows the whole story and GOD knows where we would best fit in.

We can spend our lives trying to do what we like, but if we give our lives over to GOD, then we truly start to witness the magnificence of our FATHER.

Today, let us resolve to ask GOD to work in us to do HIS will here on earth.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU that I can give my will over to YOU.  FATHER I surrender my life to YOU.  Work in me and through me to do YOUR will.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Through Jesus be reconciled to GOD!

 Through our belief in Jesus Christ, we can be reconciled back to GOD.  For we are sinners.  We simply cannot work our way in Heaven.

Even our best works are as filthy rags to GOD. 

However, when we admit that we are sinners, believe in Jesus and confess this truth to GOD, the Holy Spirit takes up residence in us.

Through our belief, Christ has made atonement and paid the price for our sins in full.

Christ saves us from an eternity in hell.  

So today, believe in Jesus.  Know that we are sinners.  Confess this GOD.  Be saved and become an ambassador for GOD on earth.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I know and love Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Saviour.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

All good gifts come from GOD!

 James tells us in the verse above that every good and perfect gift is from our FATHER above.

This is not referring to our property on earth.  It is referring to the gifts that GOD has given to each one of us and for which we need to be so eternally grateful.

GOD only knows how to give us good gifts.  No gift from GOD will be wanting or short in any form or fashion.

What we need to do is to recognise our gifts given to us by GOD and we need to thank GOD.

So if you are having a bad day and thinking that you have nothing good.  Think again.

What about your children or your family or your husband or your wife.  These are gifts from GOD.  What about the sun that shines, the clouds that bring the rain or the moon that gives us light at night?

These too are gifts from GOD.  Today, let us be truly grateful to GOD for all the good gifts HE has bestowed upon us.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER thank YOU for all the wonderful gifts lavished on us by YOU.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus in me!

 Sometimes in life we are dealt an unfair blow.  This is life on earth.  What is important to remember is it is not what happens to us, but our reactions to what happens to us.

And as children of GOD, co heirs with Jesus Christ, it is very important to behave as if we do have Christ living in us.

As a younger person, I would lose my temper and then regret it.  As I have grown in Christ Jesus, I am learning to deal with things in a completely different way.  I now stop and think about how Jesus would react in my situation.  It is a real eye opener to me.

I know that I am a long way off being like Jesus, but gradually I feel that I deal differently to what I would have done years ago.

If you are in Christ and Christ is in you, think about the ambassadorial role you are playing on earth.  And think differently.  Ask yourself - what would Jesus do?

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, thank YOU that Jesus lives in me and I in Him.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Mediator Jesus Christ!

 The only way to get to Heaven is through a belief in Jesus Christ.

This is not my opinion.  This fact is borne out many times in the Bible.  

If we had to live by the Old Covenant, we would never have a chance to get to Heaven.  It is impossible for us not to sin.  We are born sinful.  We sin each and every day, whether we are aware of it or not.

All fall short of the Glory of GOD.  None, no not one is righteous.  

So Jesus came to earth.  Why?  Jesus came to earth for one reason only.  To save you and I from our sins.

Alone we are unable to achieve righteousness.

So we need to repent.  We need to believe in Jesus.  We need to call on GOD to fill us with HIS Holy Spirit.

Today is the day to do this.  Do not wait.  Repent.  Believe and call on our FATHER in Heaven.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that Jesus is my Lord and my Saviour.  I believe in Jesus.  FATHER forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Beatiudes!

When we think about the life of Jesus, one of the highlights for me is the Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitudes.

"Blessed are the poor in Spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven".  Exactly what I wrote about being humble on earth and storing up our treasures in Heaven.

"Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted".  When we know where a person who believes in Jesus goes when they die, death has totally lost its sting.

"Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth".  Again a humble heart, knowing GOD and believing in Jesus is the key to eternity with GOD.

"Blessed are the merciful for they shall be shown mercy".  We need to be like Jesus.  Kind, gentle, loving one another and loving GOD above all else.

"Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see GOD",  To repent, to turn away from our sinful lives, to accept Jesus Christ, to be filled with the Holy Spirit, to do the Will of GOD on earth, and to focus on Heaven rather than the things of this earth, that brings about a purity of heart.

"Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of GOD." GOD wants us to be peaceful and to be like Jesus.  When we accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour, we become children of GOD, co heirs with Jesus, in the Kingdom of Heaven.

"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.  Self explanatory.  

Today, let us try to be more like Jesus, kind gentle, humble and pure in heart.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU for the life of Jesus on earth so that He could deliver the beatitudes so eloquently and so beautifully for us to be able to read them today.  Thank YOU for YOUR grace in sending our Saviour to this earth for us.  We thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Walk in a manner worthy of the LORD!

 

When we admit that we are sinners, believe in Jesus Christ and confess this truth with our mouths, GOD sends HIS Holy Spirit to live in us.  And we become children of GOD, co heirs with Jesus Christ.  Washed pure of our sins.  

However, this also comes with the conviction of the Holy Spirit.  This conviction changes our hearts and our minds to want to be more like Jesus.  

This has a profound effect on the way that we think.  No longer are we of this world.  For we know that we are not going to spend eternity on earth.  The treasures we have stored up here are fleeting and subject to thieves and moths and greed and corruption.

The treasures that we store up in Heaven are our eternity.

And this prompts us to walk in a manner that is pleasing to GOD.  Our characters must change if we are in Christ.  No longer can we use bad language. No longer can we be worldly and want the things of this world.   No longer can we tolerate hatred and no longer are we frightened of the things of this world, because we know that Jesus is with us.

Repentance looks like something.  If it doesn't or hasn't changed you.  Repent again. Ask GOD to fill you with HIS Holy Spirit.  Believe in Jesus!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER thank YOU for YOUR grace in sending Jesus Christ to save me.  Thank YOU for my repentant heart.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Have faith in GOD!

C

 We need to have faith in GOD.  GOD can do anything.  GOD created everything.  With GOD all things are possible.  Nothing is impossible for our FATHER in heaven.

What we need to do is to believe that GOD is GOD.  That GOD is Almighty, All powerful, Omniscient, Omnipresent, Omnipotent.

Our faith in GOD is what will get us through any situation,  Knowing that GOD is in charge, we surrender to HIS will and not ours. 

So today, give your freewill over to GOD.  

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I surrender my will to YOU.  Please I pray that THY will and not my will be done on earth.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

I believe in Jesus!

The only way to GOD is through Jesus.  If you do not believe in Jesus, you are not going to GOD.  No matter what a good life you have led.  No matter all your good deeds, no matter how much you have given to others.  No matter how much you have loved others.

The plain and simple fact is that Jesus is the Only Way to get to GOD.

And for the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross, GOD gave Jesus the power to save you and I from our sins.  Our belief in Jesus saves us and gets us out of hell.

Today, if you do not believe in Jesus, go down on your knees and ask GOD to show you Jesus.  Ask GOD to give you Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.  Pray and pray to GOD until you have faith.  Read your Bible.  Talk to other Christians about why they believe.  Read your Bible.  Read about the facts surrounding the birth, life and death of Jesus, because it is well documented.

You will discover that Jesus is not just a prophet who came to earth.  Jesus is the Son of GOD.  Jesus was born of a Virgin mother.  Jesus lived a sinless life.  Jesus died on that cross to save you and me.  Jesus conquered death and rose from death on the third day so that like Him, we too, can go to Heaven and be with our FATHER.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER thank YOU that I know Jesus.  Thank YOU that I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and my Saviour.  FATHER I pray that anyone reading this who has not accepted Jesus Christ comes to know Jesus as I do.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Prayer for those who are sick!

 Only GOD can save us through Jesus.  Only GOD can heal us.  

We like to think that modern medicine saves us.  But in truth, whether we live or die is dependent upon one thing.  GOD.

So if we want to be healed, like King Hezekiah, we need to pray to GOD.

And if it is the Will of GOD we will be healed.  Jeremiah understood this.

Today, if someone is sick, pray to GOD for healing.  And know that if it is the Will of GOD, that person will be healed.  If the person is not healed, it was not the Will of GOD.

But before you pray to GOD, give thanks.  Come to the Lord in praise.  Praise for what GOD has given us.  Praise for GOD being able to give life and being able to take life.  Praise for Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Saviour.  Praise for our lives, for our family and for our friends.  Praise for our faith and our belief in GOD.

For GOD is to be praised before we pray. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER tonight we praise YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  We praise YOU for YOUR mercy.  FATHER tonight we pray for healing on those who are sick and in need of our prayers.  Heal them FATHER if this is YOUR will.  We pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  The great Healer and Physician.  Amen.

GOD is with us!

 GOD delights in us.  GOD wants a loving, living relationship with each one of us.  GOD created us and GOD loves us.

We need to love GOD.  In order to love GOD we need to be humble, admitting that we are powerless without our Saviour - Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ saved us from our sinful natures.  Jesus Christ is the way to GOD, the only way to get to GOD.  Therefore we need to believe in Jesus Christ.  We need to know that we are sinful and we need to repent.

We need to call upon GOD and tell GOD that we accept Jesus Christ.  We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit and we need to spend time with GOD.

This year, 2022 may be the last one on earth.  Do not hesitate.  Repent, believe and be saved today!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I accept that I am a sinner.  I know that Jesus Christ is my Lord, my Saviour, my Redeemer.  FATHER fill me with YOUR Holy Spirit and give me good works to do in YOUR name that reflect YOUR glory on earth.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus came to save the sinners!

 Jesus came to this earth for you and for me.  But if we do not admit that we are sinners, then Christ died in vain!

A repentant heart is a heart that is forever changed.  True repentance looks like something.  A visible outward change is apparent in a repentant person.

A person who calls themselves a "born again" Christian is a person who starts to lead a completely different life.

No longer can they continue in the old ways.  They change.  Their habits change.  Their outlook changes.  They start to look like a follower of Jesus.  If there is no change of heart and no change of old habits, there is no repentance.

So today, let us examine our lives.  Are we living as we used to?  Are we seeking the company of lovers of this world rather than followers of Christ?  Are we thinking about our actions and our deeds?

Because if we are not, now is the time to come to Jesus and truly repent.  Change our hearts and our minds.  Accept the Holy Spirit poured out into us.  And become more like Jesus.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I am truly sorry for my sinful ways.  I believe that Jesus is the way to YOU and my Redeemer.  I believe that Jesus died on that cross to save me from my sins.  FATHER fill me anew with YOUR Holy Spirit.  Give me a change of heart and a change of mind.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Pray without ceasing!

 It is the will of GOD in Christ Jesus that we would pray continuously.  

We obviously cannot be sinning when we are praying.  We may well have sinned and are praying to ask GOD for forgiveness.  But the more we pray, the less likely we are and the less time we have to sin.

And GOD wants to hear from us.  Although GOD knows our every thought and our prayers before we pray them, HE still wants us to acknowledge HIS authority and HIS role in our lives.

Let us make a conscious effort to pray to GOD in all circumstances about everything.  GOD wants a living relationship with us.  In any healthy relationship, communication is vital.

A lot of marriages and other relationships fail due to a lack of communication.  When we remember to pray to GOD about anything and everything, it grows our faith.  And it grows our dependence upon the LORD.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER help me to pray to YOU much more often about anything and everything.  FATHER, I thank YOU that I am able to pray to YOU all day.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Saved by Grace through faith!

We need to have faith.  Without faith we simply cannot be saved and we are doomed to eternity in hell.

So GOD sent HIS only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to this earth as a our Saviour.  Jesus died on that cross for you and for me.

If we do not believe in Jesus Christ, it means we have faith in the grace of GOD.  It means that we believe that we can get to Heaven by good works or by good deeds.  And there are many Bible verses which dispute this fact.

“There is none righteous, no, not one;" Romans 3:10

“There is none righteous, no, not one;" Romans 3:23

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."  Ephesians 2|: 8-9

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to HIS mercy HE saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.  Titus 3:5

And there are many more verses like this in the Bible.  Good works are the result of our faith in Jesus Christ and our indwelling by the Holy Spirit.  Good works do not produce faith, they are the fruit of our faith.

Today, if you have not accepted Jesus as the Only Way, the Only Truth and the Only Life, please do so.  Time is running out on this earth and if you are not in Christ, you are not going to Heaven.  It really is that simple.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, tonight I pray that all reading this may know YOU and believe in Jesus Christ as the Only Way, the Only Truth and the Only Life.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Give thanks to the LOTD!

We need to give thanks to GOD for everything that HE has given us.

GOD gave us the earth that we live in.  The sun the moon, the stars.  GOD gave us day and night.  GOD gave us weeks, months and years.  The seasons, the birds and the animals.  The grass and the fruit and the vegetables.  Everything on earth that was created, was created by GOD.  And we were given the earth to have dominion over.

Our parents and our siblings are all gifts from GOD.

We had nothing that we created.  We were given everything by GOD.  We can earn money and buy things, but we cannot ever replicate the earth or the universe.  We can clone animals but not create them out of nothing like GOD did.

So today let us give thanks for everything.  But most of all let us give thanks to GOD for sending Jesus Christ to save us from an eternity in hell. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER today I thank YOU for all my blessings, my family, my friends, my home and everything that I have.  Most of all FATHER, I thank YOU for Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Redeemer.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Wait on the LORD!

 

GOD's plans are perfect and Holy and righteous.  What we need to do is to learn patience. When we pray to GOD, come before GOD with thanksgiving, praise and love.  But most of all come before GOD with patience.

I think one of the most important lessons that GOD wants us to learn, apart from loving HIM and each other, is patience. 

Patience produces humility and character.  It produces perseverance and hope.

And that is what GOD wants us to learn.

Firstly to come to HIM in gratitude for all that HE has given us.  Then to come to HIM in humility, admitting that we are sinful and that we have nothing to give other than our love for HIM and each other.  This we get from GOD anyway because HE loved us first.

Then we need patience and that will produce in us perseverance and that leads to character and when we develop our character, we strengthen our faith and our hope in the life everlasting with our FATHER.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER thank YOU for all my blessings.  FATHER forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  FATHER give me humility, patience and wisdom.  This I pray in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Prayer - Powerful and effective!

Sometimes we ask why GOD does not seem to hear our prayers let alone answer them.

The reason is often very simple.  

GOD wants a few things from us when we come to HIM in prayer.  

Firstly, we need to humble ourselves.  And that means admitting that we are sinners.  Also  we need to acknowledge that we need GOD to intervene in our lives.  

Then we need to believe that Jesus is our only hope of Salvation.  We need to have a relationship with GOD.  A living, loving attitude of gratitude towards our FATHER in Heaven.

Lastly, and most importantly, our petitions need to be in line with the perfect will of our FATHER.

So if your prayers seem to be unheard and unanswered, perhaps it is time for an introspective reflection of our lives.

Are we aware of our sins? This awareness comes from the Holy Spirit living in us and being active and convicting us of our sins as we do them.

Are we coming to GOD in humility?  This comes from the knowledge that we are unable to do anything on our own where GOD is expected to help.

Are we in a close loving living relationship with our FATHER?  Are we praying often about everything?  Do we give thanks to HIM for all of our blessings?  Are we acknowledging GOD as our FATHER and giving HIM all the respect due?

If we are doing all of this, then GOD will hear us.  And if the petition is in line with HIS Will, and not just what we want, then our prayers will be answered.  

If there remains a deafening silence, then go through this list again.  Your prayers are not being powerful or effective.  This is not my word on this subject.  This is according to the brother of Jesus, the Author of the above verse - James. 

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU always answer the prayers of a righteous and effective prayerful person.  FATHER lead me to know that I can have my prayers answered when my requests are made in line with YOUR Will and not mine.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Work for GOD!

 Whatever we are doing, let us do it for Jesus.  Jesus gave His life for us and the least we can do is to gratify Him through our works.

Working for our own glory on earth will not get us into Heaven. But when we glorify GOD through our works, we store up for ourselves our treasures in Heaven.

One day we are going to stand before GOD and we are going to give an account of our lives.  Whether or not we have been forgiven, we are not spared an accounting to GOD.

So let us not be found wanting.  Let us pray to GOD before we start our day and let us give thanks to GOD at the end of each day.  And during the day let us pray before we tackle any task and ask GOD that this be to HIS glory on earth.  Let us not seek gratification on earth.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I humbly ask that all that I do is to YOUR glory and not to my satisfaction.  FATHER I pray that YOU use me to show and to shine YOUR light on earth.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Our Purpose on earth is a Holy Calling!

Our purpose on earth is not to fulfill our dreams and to enrich ourselves.  We are called to serve GOD. We are not put on earth as a trifle by GOD.  We are not an accident.

GOD created us.  GOD gives us life.  GOD gave us eternal life as well. 

And our purpose on earth is to love one another, but most of all, we are to love GOD.

The first Commandment tells us.  We shall have no other gods. No one but GOD is GOD.

We are not to worship anything on earth except GOD.  It is when we discover this truth that our lives start to go much better.

A love for GOD above all else leads to an inner peace that family, money, possessions and a lot of friends cannot give us. 

When we discover that we need GOD that is when we are truly happy.  And when we need GOD above all else, we have Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Our faith and trust and belief in Jesus takes away our sins.  Jesus paid the price for our sins.  This relieves us of the burden of having to carry our sins around with us.  When we love GOD, we get new hearts.  Hearts that are loving, forgiving, kind and patient.

So stop looking for your purpose in life and go to GOD.  Take your thoughts, your dreams, your fears to GOD and see what GOD can do.  HE did it for me!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I love YOU much more than my life.  FATHER I give YOU my life.  Use my life as YOU wish.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Obey GOD!

 Our FATHER in Heaven wants us to obey HIM.  When we obey GOD we can take comfort  that GOD is in charge of our lives.

We have all been given free will and we can all do as we please.  However, GOD knows HIS perfect plan, not only for our lives, but for all the people of  this earth.

And when we follow GOD and obey GOD, we know the peace of GOD that transcends all understanding.

How do I know this? From personal experience.  When I have chosen to ignore what GOD has told me or the commandments that GOD has made for the people of this world to live by, my life has not gone the way I would have liked it to go.

But when I have prayed to GOD and asked GOD to lead my life and when I have followed the commandments  GOD gave us all, my life has gone a whole lot better.  This is not to say that I have not experienced disappointments and sorrows, but I have had a sense of peace that is inexplicable.

So today, my advice is the following.  GOD knows best.  GOD has a plan.  Give over your free will to GOD's plan and GOD's purpose for your life.  Know the peace of GOD which will amaze you.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, Holy FATHER, Righteous FATHER, I thank YOU for the laws you have laid down on earth.  I thank YOU that YOUR will be done in my life rather than my will.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
