Obedience to GOD

 As children of GOD we need to be obedient to the commands of our FATHER.

How do we know the commands of our FATHER?  We read the Bible, we pray and we ask our FATHER to show us HIS will for our lives. 

Our FATHER commands us to repent.  To turn away from sin.  Those commands are found in the ten Commandments, in the sermons of Jesus and in the Gospels of the disciples, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.  Paul also taught the commands of GOD as did James, Peter, Jude and the prophets of the Old Testament.

So what is the greatest commandment.  That is that we love the Lord our GOD above all others.  And if we do that, we listen to our FATHER and we desire to please HIM.

As we follow this instruction, it is quite amazing that the things of this world grow strangely dim.  Suddenly our desire to please others on earth pales in the light of the instructions we receive from our FATHER.

Today, obey GOD.  Listen to HIS voice.  Read HIS book - the Bible and pray. Pray for wisdom and guidance on how to please GOD.  

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I humbly thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour and I ask that YOU forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  I ask FATHER that YOU show me YOUR will for my life.  I ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Baptism

 

If we are indeed children of GOD, co heirs with Jesus, then we need to accept Jesus as our Redeemer.  We need to repent of our sins and we need to be baptized.

In baptism, we clothe ourselves with Christ.  Christ was baptized by John the Baptist and GOD was pleased with this.

Baptism is not a salvation issue, but it is an obedience issue.  One, that if we are called to do, we need to obey.

Today, if you are called to be baptized, find a person suitably equipped with a true knowledge of the Bible and ask to be baptized in obedience of this.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER I thank YOU for Jesus Christ in my life.  I thank YOU that I can call myself a child of YOUR.  I thank YOU that I am a co heir with Jesus to an eternal life with YOU.  FATHER may my heart be truly obedient to YOUR will.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Life eternal

GOD sent Jesus. GOD sent HIS only Son.  GOD wants you and GOD wants me.  Or else HE would never have sacrificed HIS Son.

John 1. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it."

This is the only truth.  Jesus is GOD.  Jesus was with GOD in the beginning.  Jesus is not created.  Jesus is the CREATOR.  Jesus spoke the world and the universe into existence. And we are so privileged.  So loved by GOD and we are given every opportunity to accept Jesus.

Do not wait.  We may not have tomorrow.  To reject Jesus is to reject GOD.  To reject Jesus is to choose an eternity in hell.  There is no further chance after death.  When you die in this world and you have not chosen Jesus as your Lord and your Saviour, the only place you are going is to hell.  That is the very sad truth.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for Jesus in my life.  I thank YOU for YOUR mercy and YOUR grace. Father make me more like Jesus each and every day and I pray that anyone reading this and not yet saved, comes to know Jesus now.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus is the truth! The only Truth!

 

Jesus was preparing His disciples for what was to come when he was going to be crucified and He would no longer be with them.  He promised to send them a helper, a comforter and a counsellor.

Jesus told them that Spirit of Truth would not speak His own words, but would tell them the truth about what was to come.

The truth is that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.  The truth is that if we do not accept Jesus as the Son of GOD, as the Saviour sent to free us from eternity in hell, the Redeemer of our sins who took our sins onto that cross and washed them white, we are not going to Heaven.  That is the very sad truth.

Time is running out and this world is growing darker and darker.  People are into their own "truths" which do not exist.  The only truth in this world exists in our belief in Jesus.

No one, not one who does not accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour, no matter how "good" they are, is going to Heaven.  The Bible tells us this truth over and over.  Jesus told His disciples and all who would listen, all who had ears to hear, that He was the way to eternal life.

Accept Jesus.  Repent and turn away from sinning.  Confess Jesus and take the Holy Spirit into your heart now.  Do not leave it.  Time is running out!

Rivers of Living Waters!

Children of GOD let us come together tonight and declare that Jesus is our Lord, our Saviour and our Redeemer.

Let us come to Jesus and drink of the living waters and to the extent that rivers of living waters shall flow out of our bellies.

We really need to shine the light of Jesus here on earth as it grows dimmer and dimmer with all the signs of the end of times.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU that I can drink of the living water flowing forth from my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Bread of Life - Jesus

 When we believe in Jesus, we have the bread of life.  But not just the bread of this life, the bread of an eternal life with Jesus.

Jesus tells us that when we believe in Him, we will never thirst.

This relates to Heaven and hell.  We are told that if we go to hell, we will burn in an eternal fire.

But if we go to Heaven, we will spend eternity with Jesus where there will be no more tears.  No more sorrow and no more hunger or thirst.  Because Jesus will be there.

Today take hold of the bread of eternal life.  Accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour.  Accept responsibility for sin and confess it to GOD and ask for forgiveness.  Repent - turn away from sin.  Forgive those who sin against you and never thirst again!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU for Jesus and for YOUR grace.  FATHER forgive me for my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Believe in Jesus and GOD!

Jesus is appointed by GOD to be the judge on the day of judgement.

The only way to avoid being judged by Jesus is to accept Jesus as our Redeemer.  Then we are still going to give an account of our lives to GOD, but we will not be judged.

The reason for this is that once we accept Jesus as our Redeemer, we are "in Jesus" and we become co heirs of the Kingdom of Heaven with Jesus.

I, for one, do not wish to stand before Jesus to be judged.  I accept that I am a sinner.  I have confessed the sins I remember to GOD and I have asked for forgiveness.  Most of all, I am repentant.  I have become a "new creation" in Jesus.

No longer can I swear or listen to bad language.  No longer can I lie. No longer can I watch whatever I want to watch on TV because Jesus lives in me and He is Holy and Righteous and pure.

Not to say that I do not sin.  That would be a lie.  I fall short of the Glory of GOD all the time.  But day by day the Holy Spirit is convicting me to confess my sins, to acknowledge to GOD when I sin and to ask for forgiveness.

It is not too late for anyone.  If you have not taken Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, I would implore you to do it now.  You do not know if you have tomorrow.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, what a privilege to call YOU ABBA.  I thank YOU for YOUR grace and mercy in making a sinner like me a co heir with YOUR Son Jesus Christ.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Eternal living WATER - Jesus Christ!

 Jesus is the Life.  Without Jesus there is no life.  And in the passage above, Jesus told the woman at the well that the water He would give to those who believe in Him is the water of eternal life.

The person who accepts Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, is born again in the Spirit of Jesus.  And that person, accepting Jesus Christ as their Redeemer has eternal life.

Do you want eternal life in Heaven or hell?  The decision is ours to make.  

We either accept Jesus or we have eternity trying to quench a thirst we will never slake.

Today, if you have not accepted Jesus, I would implore you to consider who made the universe.  Walk outside and consider the stars.  Tomorrow morning rise, and consider the sunrise.  Do you think this came about because of a big bang?  Or do you think that our CREATOR GOD made this?

If you believe GOD made all of this, then know that GOD loves each one of us and HE wants a living eternal relationship with each one of us.  HE is reaching down to you through HIS Son Jesus Christ to offer you the living water of eternal life in Heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I know YOU and I thank YOU that I love YOU.  FATHER I accept YOUR grace and favour with eternal gratitude for YOUR mercy.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

.The Spirit of GOD!

 Jesus is GOD.  The Holy Spirit is GOD and GOD is GOD.  Together they are GOD and separately they are GOD.

We cannot fathom this mystery but one day in Heaven we shall understand it.  However, GOD promises to never leave us nor forsake us.  Jesus told His disciples that when He left them and us, He would send the Comforter, the Counsellor to be with us.  That is the Holy Spirit.

And once we accept Jesus as our Redeemer, once we admit that we are sinners and confess this Truth, we are filled with the Holy Spirit of GOD.

The Holy Spirit takes up residence inside of us and we are thereafter never alone.  We are not forsaken and we are always able to call on the Holy Spirit within us. 

Today, if you feel that you are all alone, accept Jesus Christ as your Redeemer.  Admit that you are sinner - as are we all.  And confess this Truth.  The Holy Spirit will take up residence in YOU.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I have YOUR Spirit living in me.  FATHER I humbly pray that YOU make my body worthy of having YOU indwell me.  Make me more and more like Jesus each and every day.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Eternal Life in Jesus!

 Once we have come to know Jesus and been baptized in the Holy Spirit, we need to let the Holy Spirit work in our lives.  This looks like something.  We cannot claim to be co heirs with Christ and behave as if we are of this world.

This world is full of lies and deceit.  But the treasures we can store up in Heaven will be there forever.

Today, if you are a child of GOD start to shine the Light of Jesus on earth.  Pray aloud in the company of others.  Let people know that Jesus loves them all.  Read a Bible.  Talk about the sacrifice of Jesus that He made on that cross so give us all eternity with our FATHER in Heaven.

Most of all, let your character become more and more like Jesus.  Humble, kind, loving and most of all sinless.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I humbly pray that YOU make me more and more like Jesus each and every day.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Children of GOD

 Once we accept Jesus as our Redeemer, our Lord and our Saviour, and we have admitted that we are sinners, we are filled with the Holy Spirit.

This indwelling of us by the Holy Spirit, means that we can stand behind Jesus to be able to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven through the grace of GOD.

This grace is granted to all who call upon the Name of Jesus Christ and are "saved" from an eternity in hell.

So today, if you have not believed in Jesus Christ, have not admitted that you are a sinner and repented (turned away from your sin) and asked GOD to forgive you, you are not saved.  

This is the reality.  Believe in Jesus, accept the grace of GOD.  Be saved and become a child of GOD.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, tonight I humbly pray that anyone reading this who has not believed in Jesus and has not accepted YOUR grace, now is convicted and turns away from sin and is filled with YOUR Holy Spirit.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Word - Jesus Christ!

 So many people deny the deity of Jesus.  However John, the "beloved" Apostle makes it abundantly clear in his opening verses of the Gospel according to John that Jesus is GOD.

GOD spoke the world into existence.  Nothing was made that was not made by GOD. In Him was life and that life was of the light to all people.

Jesus said to His apostles, "I am the Light, I am the Truth and I am the Way".  That is all confirmed here in the opening verses.

The world loves darkness and Jesus came to shine His light in this extremely dark place.

The gate is narrow to Heaven and few will find it.  Today, know that Jesus is GOD.  Jesus added humanity to His deity so that we could be saved from our sins.

There is no way to get into Heaven except through the belief that Jesus is GOD and Jesus died on that cross, taking full punishment for your and my sins.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU sent Jesus to this earth to live on earth and to pay the price that I should have to pay for my sins.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Son of Man!

Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost!  

I often hear people saying "I found GOD"  GOD is never lost.  GOD is holding HIS hand out to each one of us and all we have to do is to reach up and take it.

GOD sent HIS Son to this earth to save you and to save me.  And there is no way to get to GOD except through Jesus.

Why is this?  Because we are sinful and GOD cannot be in the presence of  sin.  GOD is Holy, Righteous and Merciful.  But HE cannot be in our presence with our sinful nature.

Therefore, if we accept Jesus, Jesus becomes the propitiation of our sinful nature by standing between us and GOD.

Without Jesus having taken our sins onto that cross and having been punished for them, we could never attain the nature that can enter in Heaven and into the presence of GOD.

Today, let us confess to GOD that we know that we are sinful.  Let us accept Jesus as our Redeemer and let us be sought and found, lost and then saved through the Son of Man!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I can stand before YOU because of my faith in Jesus Christ as my Redeemer.  FATHER forgive me as a sinner.  Fill me anew with YOUR Holy Spirit today.  This I humbly pray in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus Christ - Name above all names!

 In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we can do anything.  What do we need to do to invoke these powers.

Jesus Christ is our Lord and our Saviour.  We need to believe in Jesus as our Redeemer, the Son of GOD.  We need to accept the Grace of GOD and know that GOD saves us from eternity in hell only through Jesus.  There is no other way.  Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  No one comes to the FATHER except through Jesus.

We need to know that we are sinners.  And if we have faith as small as a mustard seed, we can call on Jesus and use His powerful name.

The disciples, after returning back, told Jesus that they cast out demons in the Name of Jesus Christ.  And Jesus replied that He was Satan fall from heaven like lightning.

How amazing is this?

Today call upon Jesus Christ to be Lord and Saviour of your life.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I call upon the Name of Jesus Christ to be the Lord of my Life.  I pray that THY will be done in my life and not my will.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.   Amen.

Our FATHER Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent

 When we sin, we may think that nobody sees us.  That what we do we do in secret or in darkness.  But we have a FATHER that sees everything.  We have a FATHER who numbers the hairs on our heads.  We have a FATHER who is with us no matter where we are or what we are doing.

So although we think we may sin and get "away with it" it is seen by GOD and recorded.

The only way to expunge our sins is to repent.  Turn away and ask GOD to forgive us.

When we are truly remorseful, GOD reads our hearts and when we ask, we are forgiven.

The same applies to those who sin against us.  That is always a comfort.  When someone commits a dastardly act, their sins are recorded.  Then we need to forgive them.  Because they will answer to GOD one day, even if they do not believe in GOD.  They will stand before HIM and give an account for their lives.

Today, know that we have a just, righteous, holy, merciful FATHER who is watching everything and everyone on earth right now.  Reach out to our FATHER in Heaven and know that HE will be with you in everything you think, everything you say and everything you do.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU that YOU see all.  Thank YOU that YOU know all.  Thank YOU that YOU are my ALL.

I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

True repentance!

 The basis of being a born again believer in Jesus is the acceptance of our sinful nature by ourselves.  This is often a very hard thing because we are always inclined to compare ourselves to others.  In doing the comparison we are able to think that we are "better" than them.

In Heaven, there is no comparison.  We serve a righteous Holy GOD.  HE simply cannot be in the presence of sin.

For us to have our sins blotted out, we need to acknowledge that we are sinners.  Then we need to repent.  Repentance is not being sorry that we have sinned.  Repentance is far more.  It is a realization that we cannot be repeat offenders.  It is a change of mind and attitude.  It is remorse and willingness to surrender our guilt to Jesus in order to throw ourselves on the grace and mercy of our Redeemer.

If we say we are not sinners, we call Jesus a liar.  Because He went to that cross and took all our sins onto that cross and paid the price in full.  To say we have not sinned, makes that a lie.

So for true repentance we are to change.  Truly change and stop sinning.  Then in Heaven, Jesus tells us that there will be joy over this.

Today, admit sin.  Confess sin.  Repent and turn away from sin.  Fall upon Jesus and beg for forgiveness.  Be filled with the Holy Spirit and bring joy in Heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I love YOU so much and I want YOUR Grace and YOUR mercy. Forgive me FATHER for I am a sinner.  Forgive me where I have sinned and not only for the things I have done, but also for the things I have not done.  I humbly ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
