God tells us to love our neighbours as ourselves and in so doing fulfill the law.
The whole law or commandment is that we first love our God, then ourselves, then our neighbours.
In other words the trinity is then complete and the law is kept. Love our God with all our hearts and with all our mind and with all our bodies. Then we are to love ourselves as we are made in the image of God. And then we are to love our neighbours who are also made in the image of God.
What an awesome God we serve!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, today I pray that I may love You above all else on earth. I pray that I may love myself, whom you made perfectly. I pray that I may love my neighbour as myself. I pray all of this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.
