Blessings!

This is a blessing from God above.  It is said in Churches around the world at the close of a service.  It is gracious and loving and beautiful and it is given by God to each and every one of us.

Numbers indicates the presence of  Jesus, and this is the Old Testament!  This verse comes from Numbers.  It reflects the master plan of our Creator, God our Father.  He gives us not only a blessing, but He offers us sanctuary, peace and that His face would shine on each one of us.  He offers us life eternal with Him through our belief in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. 

What an AMAZING GOD we serve!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for this blessing, so richly given.  I thank You for the life of Your Son, Jesus Christ.  I thank You Father for Your immense Grace.  I thank You in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen!

Love in truth!

God wants us to put our love into action and into truth.  We can do this by loving one another the way God loves each one of us.  We can forgive one another as God forgives us and we can treat everyone the way we want to be treated.

We can also have a strong relationship with God.   We can read His word and we can pray to Him daily.  We can put our love into action and truth!

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, I thank You and You are the Truth.  You are the Life and You are the Way.  I ask Father that You give me opportunities to put my love for You into action.  I pray that You forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.   I pray this in the powerful name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Don't Worry!

Who by worrying can add a single hour to his life?  This is the question posed by Jesus to His disciples.  And how true this question still remains.

We go about our lives, worrying about everything.  And it is counter productive and counter instructive.  Counter productive to living a good life, and counter instructive to the commandment given by God. 

God will provide for us exactly the same way he provided for the Isreallites in the dessert.  He gave them a cloud to protect and guide them by day.  He gave them a leader. He gave them manna and quails to eat.  He gave them water to drink and fire to protect them by night. He did this for them for forty years.  Their sandals never wore out and they were never hungry or thirsty.  

So today,  let us draw close to God and place all our cares in His powerful hands and then get on with living our lives the best we can.  

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You that today that I can cast my worries and burdens on You.  I thank You that You are always with me and that You will guide me and keep me.  I thank You in the powerful name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

God our refuge AND our strength!

This verse is surely one of the most well known verses of the Bible.  But there is a small part of this verse that is almost overlooked.  "A very present help".  God is always present.  We are just not always aware of this fact.

God never leaves us and He never forsakes us.  We leave HIM!.  We forsake HIM!

Today, let's make a concerted effort to draw really truly close to our Creator, our Father, God in Heaven.  Read His word, pray to Him and talk to Him about everything. 

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are always in my life.  I humbly ask that You forgive me Father, for often forgetting about Your love for me and that I try to do things on my own.  I pray Father that I may draw closer to You and that the Holy Spirit moves in me to remind me of Your constant presence in my life.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Exercise for eternal life!

We are called on by doctors and medical practitioners to exercise in order to live a healthy life.  And we should all do some exercise.  However, Timothy says to us that although some exercise is good, we need to exercise our Spirit too.  A healthy body is a healthy mind. 

God calls on us to have a relationship with Him.  Relationships require work and effort and consistency to develop and bear fruit. 

Perhaps as Christians we can find a balance.  Some physical exercise every day and a lot of 
spiritual exercise.  The spiritual exercise can be reading our Bibles, talking about God to like minded Christians and then direct prayer to God.

Prayer: O Heavenly Father, I want a deep and meaningful relationship with You.  I want to feel the Holy Spirit living and working in me.  Help me Father to exercise my faith daily.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Nothing separates us from God....

Nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Except sin does separate us.  And we separate ourselves from God. When we are stubborn and self-serving and when we are unloving and unforgiving, then we separate ourselves from God.

In order to get back to a union with our Father in Heaven, we need to be loving and giving.  We need to be forgiving and we need a strong relationship with our Father in Heaven.

Therefore, let us make ourselves closer to God.  Let us read His word daily.  Let us pray to Him and let us forgive others as He forgives us.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray today that You will forgive me my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  I pray Father that I am more loving and giving so that I can draw closer to You, O Father.  I pray all this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Be Strong. God is with us!

In Joshua, we are commanded by God to be strong!.  This is a very powerful commandment.  God knows that if we are with Him, we are strong.  Without Him we are nothing.  Therefore it is really important that we follow this commandment to the letter.

We can only do this when we are in a strong relationship with God and when we place all our trust in Him.  

Today, let us strengthen our relationship with God.  He is our Creator.  He is our Father and he wants us to be strong in Him.  What an awesome God we serve!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, no matter the trials we are facing today, let me be strong in You.  I want to be with You Father and I want You with me in everything I think and say and do.  Help me Father to grow my strength in You.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Walk with God!

As we go about our lives, let us walk with God.  Let us walk in His perfect ways.  The way in which we can do this is to know the plan that God has for our lives.  

In order to know the plans God has for our lives, we need to know and understand God.  This can only happen when we have relationship with God.  

We learn about God by looking for Him in everything we think.  In everything we say and in everything we do.  When we read His word, when we pray to Him, we begin to see God in the world.

Practise makes perfect and it is same with God.  Practise being with Him and practise reading His word.  Practise praying to Him.  

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are in my life.  Lord show me Your perfect way.  Father I want a relationship with You and I want to be close to You.  Show me how.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Commit to God!

God asks us to commit our ways to Him.  This means that we have to think about anything and everything we do and ask if this is what God wants for our lives.  We need to take everything to God before we act.  

In order to hear God's will for our lives, we need a close relationship with God.  God wants us to be a part of His plan.  He wants a loving relationship with each one of us.

let us read His word for us daily.  Let us pray to Him about everything we do.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, I thank you for being my Creator.  I thank You that You want me in Your life.  Father help me in everything I think, say and do.  Father I bring my life to You and I lay it down to You and Your perfect will.
I pray all this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Pray to God always about everything!

God is always with us.  Therefore we can always talk to Him.  We need to do this constantly and about everything.  God wants us to discuss our lives with Him.  He wants us to discuss our fears, our joys, our trials and our triumphs with him.

We can always trust that God hears our prayers.  Whether we consider that He answers them, is the question.  And if our prayers are not answered, we need to trust that God knows what is best for us.

Let us draw closer to God today and talk to Him about everything. Let us read His word and watch for His voice and listen for His instruction. 

Prayer: Heavenly Father God, I thank You that You are always listening to me.  I thank You that You are always with me.  I thank You that You sent Your Son Jesus Christ to live on this earth, to die for my sins so that I may have eternal life with You.  Father I pray today that You guide me and lead me in Your wonderful way.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

God is always with us!

God is always with us.  He tells us this in Joshua 1 verse 9.  We are not to be afraid.  We must put our trust in Him.

Draw closer to God today.  Let us read our Bibles, pray to God and talk to people about God.  Let us join hands with like minded Christians who endorse our belief in our awesome Creator.

Let us go out tonight and look up into the sky, knowing that our Creator is looking down on us and the He loves each one of us.  

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You that I can always count on You.   I thank You that You are omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent.  I thank You that I need never be afraid with You by my side.  I thank You in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

God works in our lives

God works in our lives.  Once we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, the Holy Spirit comes to live in each one of us.  Through the Holy Spirit, God is able to use and refine us.

As we go about our daily lives, we are tested by God.  He wants us to draw close to Him.  He wants a relationship with Him, both now and forever more.

We need to foster this relationship with God by reading His word, by praying to Him and by strengthening our faith.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You that I am a child of Yours.  I thank You that I can call You Father.  I thank You that You listen to my prayers.  Father, today I humbly ask that You remain with me, now and forever more.  I ask this in the powerful name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

God is Good!

God created everything and He created it in His perfect way.  Everything God created is good.  

We are just beginning to unravel the marvels of DNA and how wondrously we were created.  Each one different but the master pattern is absolutely perfect.  

This is the WONDROUS GOD whom we serve!

This awesome God who is perfect wants a relationship with each one of us.  He wants us to spend our lives on earth in His glory and then to have eternal life with Him.  Draw closer to God and know His goodness.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your perfect creation, me.  I thank You that I can serve You and I thank You that You love me.  Father today I pray that everything I do reflects your glory on earth.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

God has a plan for our lives!

God has a plan for our lives.  We do not know what it is until we start to walk close to God and He starts to show us exactly where we are going.  God tells us not to lean on our own understanding but to follow Him only.  

We get closer to God when we accept our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Our God is the ONLY GOD who sent His Son to die for our sins.  When you are told that we all worship the same God, this is simply not true if the God that is being worshipped did not send His Son Jesus Christ to earth. 

Let us not be deceived and let us not be misled.  

Let us begin to understand the might and power of the God we serve.  Let us draw closer to Him each day as we read His word and as we pray to Him.  

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Gracious Father, I thank You that I can serve You.  I thank You for Your Grace and for the plan that You have for my life.  I come to You Father and I ask to be in Your presence in all that I do in my life.  I accept that Jesus Christ is my Lord and my Saviour.  I pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ.  My Saviour.  Amen.

Jesus Intercedes for us!

No matter what situation we find ourselves in, we always have God with us.  Jesus is our intercessor with God.  He came to take away the sins of the world and to give us eternal life.

This is such a gracious gift from God.  

We need to find God in everything.  Wherever we are, God is there.  He is the creator of the Universe.  He wants us to come to Him through His Son Jesus Christ.

Let us draw near to God today. Let us make time to read His word and to pray to Him.  Let us listen for His voice. 

Prayer: Heavenly Father, today I thank You that You are always with me.  I want a personal relationship with You.  I acknowledge Your enormous sacrifice that You made in sending Jesus Christ to die for my sins.  I ask, today, that You forgive me my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Put our hope in the word of God.

God tells us to put our hope in His word.  Jesus is the word!  John 1:1 tells us this.  The Bible is not a random collection of writings.  It is the word of God.  And it is completely trustworthy.  

John 1:1 starts off "In the beginning was the word, and the word was God and the word was with God."  So we know that Jesus is the word and He has been with us since the beginning. 

This hope in God's word was written about a thousand years before John.  In the Psalm above we are told to wait for the Lord, and then to hope in His word.

Today, let us do exactly what David wrote about in Psalms.  Let us wait for the Lord.  Let us put our hope and our trust in the word of God.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, today I put my hope in You.  I trust You completely Father, and I need to learn to wait for You.  I humbly ask Father that You come to me quickly and teach me to be faithful to You and to Your word Father. I ask Father that I can read Your word every day and that You show me how to put into practise the things that I read from You.   I ask this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Be Strong! God is with us!

God tells us to be strong and courageous.  He tells us not to be terrified for He is with us.  

Often we see God as all loving, kind and gentle.  And this is a good image of God.   However this image tends to diminish the power of God.  God CREATED the whole universe .... simply by speaking.  He spoke it into being!  This is a very powerful God.  For whom absolutely NOTHING is impossible.  

We need to decide if we want a meek and mild God on our side, or an all powerful, MIGHTY GOD! Our Creator!

Draw near to God, for He is with us.  He will always be with us, as long as we are always with HIM!

Today, let us  read God's word, pray to Him and listen to Him.  

Prayer:  Our Father in Heaven,  I thank You that You are mighty and Holy.  I thank You that You are always with me.  Father, today, I pray that You will hold me in the palm of Your Hand.  I pray that Your mighty Holy Spirit will live in me and guide me.  I thank You for Your Son, Jesus Christ.  

I say today.  Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, GOD IN THREE PERSONS.  Blessed Trinity!  I pray all this in the mighty name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

God can do the IMPOSSIBLE!

Nothing is impossible for God to do.  We are called on to follow God's commandments and to obey His will and He tells us that if we do that, He will always be with us. To have God with us is to have everything we could ever want! It means that we have someone for whom NOTHING is impossible by our side!

Today let us make concerted efforts to start reading God's word on a daily basis.  Let us set aside time in our busy days to connect with God through prayer.  Let us start to really love one another and try to see things from each other's point of view.

The most important thing in all this is to draw close to our Creator, for whom nothing is impossible.  He can work miracles in our lives.  Let us believe this and know this as our relationship with Him grows.

Prayer:  Our Father, who art in Heaven, we worship Your Holy Name.  Let Your kingdom be firmly established here on earth as it is in Heaven.  Father today provide us with all that we need to live here on earth.  Forgive me for my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  Father, I pray that you make me strong enough to resist temptations that I may face.  The Power, the Glory and indeed the whole universe are Yours.  Forever and ever.  Amen.

I pray all of this knowing that You sent my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, to die so that I may have eternal life with YOU.  Amen!

With God all things are possible!

God is our Creator.  He made every single thing on earth and in the skies above us.  He created the entire universe.  Therefore NOTHING that we know or can see or can understand that is impossible for God.  He can bring the dead back to life.  He can create  human beings.  He can create new universes.  He is the supreme God.  And He is our God!

When we pray for the small things that we pray for, God can do anything we ask.  What we need to understand that we need to ask for are things that are God's will for our lives.  To understand God's will for our lives, we need to have a relationship with God.  This entails us reading God's word, praying to God and listening to His word in our lives.  

God will speak to us.  He will listen to us.  But we must be obedient to His will. 

Prayer:  Our Father in Heaven, we thank You for this magnificent world that You created for us to live in now.  We thank You that You love us.  We thank You that we can have a relationship with You through Your Son Jesus.  

Father today, I humbly ask that You listen to my prayers and let me hear Your voice.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

Jesus the Light of the world!

Jesus is the light of the world.  This world can be a very dark place.  When we feel lonely, or hurt or just desperate about our situations, it is always good to know that we have a permanent light on our path.  This is the wonder of having a Saviour like Jesus Christ.

God sent His Son to be our light and to give us hope.  This hope is not just for this world but for an eternal life with God.  

Let us put all our faith in this Light, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You that You gave me the Light of this world.  I thank You that I am never alone and that Jesus and You are always with me.  I thank You that You love me and I ask that I may love others as You love me.

I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Do not be afraid - God is with you!

God is always with us.  Every step of the way, He is there for each and every one of us!

We do not always realize or know that God is with us because we do not hear His voice and we not know Him.  God gave each one of us free will.  We have the absolute right of will to live our lives any way we choose.  

In the same way, we need to choose to have God in our lives.  We draw near to Him by listening to His voice.  When we read His word and pray to Him daily, we start to draw ever closer to Him and then He becomes an integral part of our daily lives.  

Today let us make a conscious effort to start setting aside time every single day for God.  Let us read His word and take everything to Him in prayer.  Then let us wait to hear from Him.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You that You gave me free will to what I want with my life.  Father, today, I want a relationship with You.  I want to hear Your voice and see Your work in my life.  Please help me with this Father.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Glory to God!

God is mighty and God is glorious.  He is just and He is full of grace.  He sent His Son to live with us and when He ascended into Heaven, God sent us the Holy Spirit to live with us and comfort us.

God is truly awesome.  Let us worship His Holy Name today and celebrate the fact that we are created by the One and Only True God.  He loves us and He wants a relationship with us.  There is no other God!

Prayer: Omniscient, Omnipresent, Omnipotent God.  I thank You that You are gracious and kind and loving.  I thank You that give me the opportunity to serve You.  I worship Your Holy Name.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Draw near to God!

God wants a relationship with each one of us.  He sent His Son to cleanse us from our sins forever.  What we need to do it to accept this Grace from God and go towards God.

In order to get back to a relationship with God, we need to repent, forgive others who have sinned against us.  Then we need to build our relationship with God.  We need to pray daily and read God's word to us.  We need to talk to God and about God daily.

Let us make this our daily habit.  

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, today I pray that You will forgive my sins.  I forgive all those who sin against me.  Father I thank You for Your enormous grace.  I thank You that You are always with me.  I thank You that I can pray to You and that I can read Your word.  I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.
