Exercise for eternal life!


We are called on by doctors and medical practitioners to exercise in order to live a healthy life.  And we should all do some exercise.  However, Timothy says to us that although some exercise is good, we need to exercise our Spirit too.  A healthy body is a healthy mind. 

God calls on us to have a relationship with Him.  Relationships require work and effort and consistency to develop and bear fruit. 

Perhaps as Christians we can find a balance.  Some physical exercise every day and a lot of 
spiritual exercise.  The spiritual exercise can be reading our Bibles, talking about God to like minded Christians and then direct prayer to God.

Prayer: O Heavenly Father, I want a deep and meaningful relationship with You.  I want to feel the Holy Spirit living and working in me.  Help me Father to exercise my faith daily.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.
