GOD, my Rock!

GOD is our Rock.  HE is always there and is immovable.  All HIS promises HE keeps.  HE does not falter or change.

Everything we read in the Bible is dependable and is GOD breathed.  We need not ever think that our GOD will let us down or change HIS mind or change HIS plan for our lives. 

What we need to do is to ask GOD for HIS guidance for our lives and we need to get into HIS plan rather than try to fit HIM into our plans.

We need to "right size" our GOD and know that HE is as immutable as the rock pictured above.  We can then know in confidence that with our GOD at our sides, we can achieve the impossible.  

Let us pray for GOD's direction in lives and let us draw near and feel the immense love of our GOD for each one of us today.  

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, today I pray that I come to know YOUR perfect plan for my life.  I pray FATHER that YOU guide my life rather than me trying to fumble through it.  I pray FATHER that YOU will show me YOUR perfect way.  I humbly ask this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Trust in the LORD!

The Psalmist tells us that those who trust in the LORD cannot be shaken.  This is because we have our awesome, wonderful CREATOR on our side when we trust in HIM.  We need to trust GOD completely no matter what the circumstances that we find ourselves in. 

Draw closer to GOD today.  Come to HIM in prayer and then trust HIM completely for HIS ways are perfect.  We cannot imagine what GOD has in store for us if we let go and trust HIM with all of our being.

Nothing will move us or shake us with our GOD on our side!

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER, today I put my trust in YOU.  YOU guide me and show me YOUR way FATHER.  I humbly pray this in the Name of my Lord and my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

My help comes from THE LORD!

GOD is our help in times of trouble.  However GOD is always with us, whether we accept HIM into our lives or not.  HE is our creator.  HE creates everything that lives on earth.

This Psalm is a very real reminder of how big, how omnipotent, how omniscient, how omnipresent our GOD is.

Even people who deny GOD are HIS creation.

We, as Children of the Living GOD can turn to HIM and KNOW that HE is always with us.  

So today let us lift our eyes up to the mountains, and know that our GOD not only created the mountains, but HE is so much bigger.  Nothing is too hard for HIM.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for my life.  I thank YOU for this creation, the universe.  I thank YOU that YOU are on my side.  I pray today FATHER that I can feel  YOU by my side and help me to know that I am YOUR child.

I humbly pray this in the  Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

A living hope!

GOD has given us a new birth!  Such a wonderful powerful thought.  GOD has given us a new birth into a living hope.  Jesus Christ lives!   He rose from the dead and overcame death for our salvation.

Therefore once we accept Jesus Christ as our Saviour, and our Redeemer, we are on the way to life eternal.  We have a new hope that we will share in the Kingdom of Heaven with Him.  We are heirs to this Kingdom.  We have are born again into the life eternal!

Today if we have not already done so, let us accept Jesus as our Saviour.  Let us pray to GOD and tell HIM that we know that HE is our FATHER and that Jesus is HIS Son sent to die on a cross and overcome death in order to save us from our sins.

We are all sinners, so along with acceptance of Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we need to accept the grace of GOD.  We are forgiven of our sins.  But we need to ask for forgiveness.  Jesus told us that we need to pray to GOD and ask HIM to forgive our sins.  But the rider to this (the contract with GOD) is that we also need to forgive those who have sinned against us.  

So let us concentrate today on those who have sinned against us.  Let us name them to our FATHER in Heaven and let us tell GOD that we forgive them.

Then let us name our sins to GOD and HIM to forgive us AS we have forgiven those who have sinned against us. 

Prayer: ‘Our FATHER  who art in heaven,
hallowed be YOUR Name,
10 YOUR  kingdom come,
YOUR  will be done,
  

on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our sins,

as 

we also have forgiven those who sin against us.
13 And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from the evil one.

For Thine is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory,

Forever and ever.  Amen"

Tree of life!

As spring brings forth the leaves on the trees and life becomes fresh with the anticipation of summer rainfall, so we need to take stock of our lives as Christians.

The Bible talks about the tree of life.  In reality, we need to be as trees. Let us look at the analogy.
  
As we learn to know our GOD, as we walk with HIM so our roots (faith) strengthen and push downwards, (giving us a secure basis for our lives) ever thicker and stronger (ifrm and unshaken)and seeking more water.  (knowledge and a deeper spiritual relationship with our FATHER).  Then we start to see the trunk thicken and leaves leaves growing on the branches, (our spiritual gifts) and the fruit comes first in small little flowers (our growth and maturity in GOD and HIS talents given to each one of us) which fall off and give rise to the end result - the fruit (our gifts) and ultimately to seeds which can be replanted to produce more trees.  And lastly we can prune the branches which do not produce good fruit. 

Today let us stop and contemplate a tree and then let us strive to be like the trees in our faith.

Let us feed our faith and water our spiritual growth.  We can do this by reading our Bibles daily, by praying to GOD and strengthening our faith.  Ultimately we will reap the benefits and grow in Jesus.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and love and I thank YOU that I can be like a tree.  I humbly ask that you help me to strengthen my faith through which I will produce good fruit.  I pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus is the bread of life!

Jesus is the bread of life.  This means that if we love Jesus with all our hearts and with all our strength and with all our mind and with all our soul, He will sustain us. 

Our faith in Him means we will never hunger or thirst.  This does not mean that we will not be physically hungry or thirsty.  It means that spiritually we will be fully satisfied.

The Holy Communion is a reminder that Jesus died on the Cross for our sins, so that we could have eternal life.  When we take Communion we have bread and water or wine.  This is a reminder that Jesus will feed us spiritually as well as a reminder that He is our living sacrifice.  An atonement for our sins.

What we need to do is to make Jesus our all.  We need to feed off His word and drink off His spirit and be filled with the love that He has for each one of us.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU so much for the love that YOU have for me that YOUR Son died to save me from my sins.  I thank YOU FATHER that I can drink of the blood of Jesus and save myself through repentance.  I thank YOU that in YOU I will never hunger.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD my refuge!

We need to accept Jesus Christ as our Saviour.  We need to accept that Jesus will come back to earth and redeem us.  We need to earnestly pray for the forgiveness of our sins.  We need to forgive those who have sinned against us.

But most of all we need to want an eternal life with GOD.  GOD is our refuge and our strength.  HE is an ever present help in times of trouble.

Today let us draw close to our Heavenly FATHER and read HIS word.  Let us pray to HIM in fervour today.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I love YOU FATHER.  I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour.  I pray, FATHER, that YOU will forgive my sins as I forgive all those who have sinned against me.  I pray all of this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus has set us free!

It is in Jesus that we are finally set free from sin and given a chance to have an eternal life with GOD in Heaven. 

Today let us grab this opportunity and make a real effort to get our lives in order.  Let us make a concerted effort to set time aside each and every day to talk to GOD, to read HIS word, to fill ourselves with the Holy Spirit by doing good works.

Let us turn to GOD and love HIM with all our hearts and all our strength and with all our mind and with all our soul.  Let us love each other and forgive readily all the wrongs that are done to us.

Let us set our lives in order to accept the second coming of Jesus Christ.  

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU that I can be free in Jesus.  I thank YOU for YOUR grace and I beg for your forgiveness for all the wrongs that I have done.  Fill me with YOUR Holy Spirit and let me pour out love on all those around me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ Amen.

Believe in Jesus!

Our Awesome, Amazing GOD gave us HIS Son Jesus Christ.  Jesus is our living sacrifice, sent to this earth.  He lived amongst us and He died for us on the cross of Calvary.  

Jesus rose again on the third day and came back to earth, as a living being.  He walked on this earth for 40 days after His crucifixion.  This so that we might KNOW that He is the Son of GOD.

Apart from the fact that Jesus walked on water (Matthew 14:22-33) and turned water into wine. (John 2:1-11) He healed the sick, the lame and the blind, (Matthew 8:16).  He is our Redeemer.  (Zephaniah 3:17) His blood was shed so that we could have an eternal life with our FATHER in Heaven.

Jesus is our scapegoat.(leviticus 16:10).  Therefore, if we want the eternal life with GOD, we need to believe in Jesus Christ.  THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO GET TO HEAVEN!

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life.  No one comes to the FATHER except through me" (John 14:6).

Today accept Jesus Christ as our Saviour.  Make amends with GOD.  Ask for forgiveness of our sins and forgive all those who sin against us.  

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.  I accept that He died to save me from my sins. I  humbly pray for the forgiveness of all my sins.  FATHER I repent and ask that YOU forgive me.  I forgive all those who sin against me.  

I pray this in the Holy Name of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus is Coming!

Jesus is coming back to take all His followers up to Heaven.  That is written in the Bible and is verified in many places.  There will be a loud trumpet call and all His angels will gather the living from the four corners of the earth.

However, only those who have accepted Jesus as their Saviour and have asked GOD for the forgiveness of their sins are going to be called up with Him.

Today let us not put it off.  Accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour right now.  Fall on our knees and beg GOD to forgive our sins.  Forgive all those who have sinned against us and be ready.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I pray that YOU prepare me for the coming of YOUR Son Jesus.  Help me FATHER and forgive my sins as I forgive all those who sin against me. 

FATHER I accept YOUR Son Jesus as my Redeemer and I know that He went ahead of me to prepare a place for me.  I humbly ask FATHER that YOU accept me into YOUR kingdom today.  

I ask this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus never changes!

Jesus is constant.  He never changes.  He was with GOD in the beginning and HE will be with GOD at the end of times.

GOD is also constant.  GOD loves us and HE wants a relationship with us.  That is never in question.  The question is, do we love GOD and do we want a relationship with HIM.  Then we need to go to Jesus.  No one goes to the FATHER except through Jesus.

Let us today draw near to our Saviour, and let us ask in His Name that GOD becomes a huge part of our lives.  Let us read our Bibles and know what GOD what wants for us through HIS word.  Let us pray continually and ask GOD for HIS guidance in our lives.  Let us ask all of this in the Holy Name of Jesus.

Prayer; Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU for YOUR Son Jesus. I thank YOU that YOU never change.  I thank YOU that Jesus never changes.  Today I ask that I change and move towards YOU FATHER.  I humbly ask this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay constantly GOD blessed today!

Chosen by GOD!

GOD has chosen each one of us to be HIS children.  HE has created us in HIS own image.  Now it is up to each one of us to accept this enormous gift.

We need to accept HIS Son Jesus Christ as our Saviour and our Redeemer.  We need to accept that we cannot be saved through anything we are going to do or anything that we are not going to do as we are all born in sin.

Therefore through the Grace of GOD and HIS love for each one us, we are saved when we accept Jesus Christ.  We can ask for forgiveness of our sins and repent truly and we shall be forgiven.  Then we need to forgive all those who have sinned against us.  

This is the way to an eternity with our FATHER, our CREATOR GOD.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU for choosing me and for creating me.  I thank YOU for the life of YOUR Son Jesus.  FATHER forgive my sins as I forgive all those who sin against me.  I pray this in the Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Children of the LIVING GOD!

We are children of the LIVING GOD.  All of us without exception.  There is not one person on earth who was not chosen by GOD regardless of whether or not they accept this enormous love.

GOD made each and every one of us and therefore we need to accept this great love and become children of GOD in a very active sense.

When we realize and accept that we are children of GOD, we enter into a relationship with GOD.  This happens through our prayers, through our discussions and through our actions.

Love without action is not true love.  Love is action.  Love is giving and love working towards a living relationship.  

Let us draw close to our GOD, our FATHER in Heaven today and start to read HIS word, often, at least every day.  Let us pray and talk to GOD.  Let us love HIS children here on earth, whether they love us or not! 

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU today that I can all myself YOUR child.  I thank YOU for YOUR unconditional love of me.  I thank YOU for YOUR grace in sending YOUR Son to die for my sins.

GOD gives power to the faint!

Our CREATOR is Almighty.  HE can do anything and HE can fix anything and HE can create anything, even out of nothing.

We tend to forget that each and every day, this marvellous CREATOR of ours watches over our going out and our coming in.  (Psalm 121:8).   HE wants the very best for each and every one of us. (Jeremiah 29:11)  ("For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.")

Yes, we have been given free will and we can do what we like.  However, if we turn to GOD and pray about everything before we do it or plan it or say it, GOD can and will show us the right way.

What we need to do is take everything to GOD in prayer.  Our thoughts, our plans and what we are going to say.  Then we give GOD a chance to show us HIS perfect way.  

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU that I can draw strength from YOU when I feel faint.  I thank YOU that YOU are always with me and that YOU love me.  I ask FATHER today that YOU watch over my going out and my coming in.  I pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Love!

GOD is love!  GOD sent HIS only begotten Son to live on earth, to be crucified and to die to save us from our sins.  Jesus has all the attributes of love as described herein above in Paul's letter to the Corinthians.

"4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, 
always perseveres."

When we truly love something or someone, it is a completely selfless act.  We do not love to receive, only to give.  

Love can conquer anything.  Therefore Jesus said, "Love your GOD with all your hearts, with all your souls, with all your strength and with all your soul".  "Love your neighbour as yourself"

It is only in receiving that we are able to give.  If we don't receive anything, we have absolutely nothing to give.  GOD gives us love and therefore we have love to give.

Love costs us nothing, but gives us everything.  Therefore today, as children of the living GOD, let us love our GOD.  Let us fall on our knees and worship HIM in love.  Then let us love one another as Jesus loves us.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I love YOU FATHER.  I want to show YOU today how much I love YOU.  Show me how to love as unconditionally as YOU love me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The law of the Spirit has set us free!

In the old Testament, GOD gave Moses the instruction by which man had to live.  These  600 odd rules were nearly impossible to observe and very few people could actually say that they truly obeyed the law.  (The book of Leviticus lists all the instructions which had to be kept)

Then GOD called Moses and he went up onto Mount Sinai where he was given the ten commandments.  These were more manageable and could be kept if people were truly devout.  However, again  very few people, even today can say that they keep the ten commandments.  We are human and we are so frail!

Then, under a new Covenant,  GOD sent HIS Son Jesus.  As we discussed yesterday, we know that the Spirit of GOD and Jesus hovered over the earth in the beginning.  Therefore when GOD sent Jesus to live on this earth as we live and to suffer on the cross and to die on this earth in human form and to overcome death and rise on the third day, HE gave us HIS grace.  We no longer have to attain perfection.  GOD knows that we are frail.  This is the new Covenant.  "Love the LORD your GOD with all your heart, and with all your mind and with all your strength and with all your soul.  Love one another as I have loved you. " (Matthew 22:37 and Luke 10:27, Mark 12:30-31).

What we have to do is have faith in GOD and believe that Jesus is HIS Son.  We have to believe that through the grace of GOD only can we be saved.  Then we need to beg GOD to forgive our sins.  We need to forgive all those who have sinned against us.  We need to ask GOD to fill us with the Holy Spirit and we need to become "Christ like".

When we truly have faith, the last part starts to come and the Holy Spirit convicts us when we sin.  We know when we sin and we need to beg for forgiveness each and every time.  

Therefore today, Children of the Living GOD, let us have faith that our wonderful CREATOR loves each one of us and wants to spend eternity with us.  Let us put away the things of this earth and let us become more "Christ like" today.  Let us forgive one another and beg GOD to forgive us.

Let us have the freedom of living in the Spirit of GOD!

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace in giving me freedom to live in the Holy Spirit.  Come Holy Spirit and fill me.  I humbly pray, FATHER that YOU will forgive my sins as I forgive all those who sin against me.  

I pray all of this in the Name of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ, who lives!  Amen.

Where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is freedom!

Paul writes in Corinthians 2, where the Spirit of the LORD is there is freedom.  If we go back to the beginning of time, in Genesis we read that "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters."

GOD is not bound by this earth.  GOD can send HIS Spirit anywhere in the universe.  HE is our CREATOR.

Therefore, to get back to Paul, what Paul is saying to us that when we trust in GOD, when we are in a relationship with GOD, when we are GOD centred, there is freedom.  Freedom to live our lives without fear.  Knowing that our GOD is with us.  No matter the circumstances that we find ourselves in.  GOD is with us.  

That is true freedom!

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU that I have complete freedom when I trust in YOU.  I thank YOU FATHER that YOU are always there for me.  I humbly ask FATHER that YOU guide my life and grant me YOUR peace.  I ask this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Be strong in the LORD!

We are urged by the disciple Paul in his letter to the Ephesians to be strong in the LORD and HIS mighty power.  

Nothing is too hard for GOD.  No matter what the situation that we find ourselves in, nothing is impossible for GOD. 

Let us today remember how big and how powerful and how mighty our GOD is and let us hand over all our troubles to HIM.  More importantly, let us trust in GOD and have faith that with HIM and through HIM everything is possible.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER GOD,  I know how big and how mighty and how powerful YOU are.  Today FATHER I cast all my worries and my cares on YOU.  I am simply not strong enough to deal with them today FATHER.   I humbly ask FATHER that YOU help me and give me strength today.  I pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and my Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Look to the Lord!

The Bible tells us to look to the LORD.  This is not merely a vague statement.  It is imperative as Children of the Living GOD that we seek HIM first.  We should seek HIS wor.,  We should seek HIS voice.  We should seek HIS way and HIS purpose for our lives.

In fact we should do nothing without prayer first.  We need to look to GOD for our going in and our coming out.  

Let us today make a concerted effort to put GOD first and let us seek HIS face.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER, show me YOUR perfect way.  Let me seek YOUR face and YOUR voice and YOUR plan for my life.

I pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

In the LORD, I will not be shaken!

With GOD at our side, we can never be shaken!  GOD is our CREATOR.  HE can do anything.  What we need to do is have faith in our powerful, Omniscient, Omnipresent, Omnipotent GOD.

We need to have a relationship with HIM.  We need to know HIS word and HIS will.  We need to listen for HIS voice and for HIS guidance in our lives.

We need to pray continually and about everything.  We need to trust in GOD because HE is perfect and because HE knows everything.

Let us today, put all our faith in GOD and not be shaken!

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, today I humbly ask that YOU guide my life and show me YOUR perfect way.  I ask FATHER that YOU talk to me and tell me what YOU want for my life.  I ask FATHER that with YOU by my side, I will never be shaken.  I humbly ask this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Trust in GOD!

GOD is without sin. HE is pure and HIS word is everlasting.  Therefore let us trust in HIM today.  HE will lead us, but we must want to be led.  HE will show us the way, but we must ask HIM for direction.   HE will love us, but we must want to be loved.

GOD gave us all free will.  We can do anything we please.  We can choose to do good or we can choose to bad or we can choose to do nothing.

Let us exercise our free will and run into our Saviour's arms.  Let us go down on our knees and beg GOD to show us the way.  Let HIM be our refuge and our strength.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU that I can give all my free will to YOU to shelter me and to protect me in times of trouble.  LORD GOD, today I humbly ask that YOU direct my life.  Help me to give everything to YOU before I rush into things and make a mess.  I pray all of this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Let the LORD direct our hearts!

"Let the LORD direct our hearts into GOD's love and Christ's perseverance."   What a powerful thought for today!

If we will just give GOD freewill to act in our hearts and in our lives, HE can direct us into HIS eternal gracious love and into Christ's perseverance.

We need to give up trying to do everything ourselves.  This does not mean we have to just sit down and wait.  No - it means before we do anything, we need to test it against what GOD wants for our lives.  We need to test to see if it is the truth and if it will promote GOD's will on earth.  We need to pray to GOD and ask HIM to direct our lives in every aspect.

Once we have done that and if we have not heard from GOD we know that we are on the wrong path.  GOD will show us the way.  Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. And we need to wait on GOD.  We need to pray and talk to GOD and read HIS word to know HIS will. 

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU that YOU will always give me freewill.  However, FATHER, I humbly ask that YOU take over my life and show me the way YOU want me to go.  Let me not rush into life.  Let me rather wait for YOU to show me the way.  

I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen. 

Stay wonderfully patiently GOD blessed today.  

GOD talks to us!

GOD talks to us!  We may not hear HIM and we may not know how to hear HIM.  But HE is talking to us constantly.  GOD loves each one of us and HE wants a relationship with us.  

We develop our relationships through contact.  Speaking to one another and spending time with one another.  Listening to each other and sharing thoughts with one another is the way we build relationships.

With GOD it is exactly the same.  We need to spend time talking to GOD, we need to spend time listening to GOD and we need to spend time reading GOD's word.

Today stop and listen to what GOD is saying to us.  Let us read HIS word and let us talk to HIM - in prayer.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU that YOU are in my life.  I thank YOU that I can talk to YOU.  FATHER I want to hear what YOU have to say to me.  I want to hear YOUR voice.  Talk to me FATHER and tell me the right way to go in my life.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Shelter in the MOST HIGH!

The Psalmist tells us that whoever dwells in the shelter of the MOST HIGH, will rest in the shadow of the ALMIGHTY.  This is an extremely powerful and profound thought.  

How do we get to dwell in the shelter of the MOST HIGH?  Well what we need to do is accept GOD as our FATHER, our CREATOR.  We need to accept Jesus as our Redeemer; our Saviour.  Then we need to give everything to GOD!

What is meant here, is that we take everything we do, everything we say and everything plan to do to GOD - before we attempt to do these things.  This is particularly hard to do with everything we say.

Sometimes we just speak without actually thinking.  And it hurts.  It hurts others, but most of all it hurts ourselves.

Therefore we need to become Holy and draw close to GOD. We need to read HIS word daily.  We need to pray constantly that HE is with us and that we can "shelter" in the MOST HIGH.  And that will give us rest and calm and peace in the "shadow" of the ALMIGHTY.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, today I humbly pray that YOU let me dwell in the shelter of YOUR grace and give me rest in YOUR shadow.  I pray that YOU pour YOUR grace out on my life and make me an obedient servant of YOURS.

I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and my Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

The LORD is my strength and my shield!

GOD is our strength and our shield!  Our hearts need to trust in HIM fully and HE will help us. 

The faith to trust GOD completely is necessary to achieve HIS help.  If we have any doubts that GOD will help us, then we are not going to get the help.

GOD gave each one of us free will.  HE tells us over and over again in the Bible to trust in HIM.  Jesus tells us that if we have faith as small as a mustard see we can move a mountain from here to there.  And Jesus tells us not to worry about anything as we cannot add a single day to our lives. 

This is true and we need to learn to lean on GOD for everything.  For our daily bread, for our safety, for our guidance in our walk on this earth.  We need to pray about everything before we do it and GOD will help us and show us the way.

When we get on the wrong path, believe me, the obstacles will flow.  But when we get on the right path, we have GOD on our side.  So we need to shift this and put ourselves on GOD's side and not try to get HIM on our side, which is sure to be the wrong way.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU that YOU are my strength and my shield.  I thank YOU that YOU are an ever present help in times of trouble.  Today FATHER, I humbly ask that YOU show me YOUR path and I follow YOU rather than trying to fit YOU onto my path.

I pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Conquerors in Jesus Christ!

GOD loves us so much that HE sent HIS only begotten Son, not only to live on this earth as we do, but to die - nailed to a cross, tortured and mocked and derided.  All so that we can be forgiven for our sins and have a chance to live an eternal life with GOD.

We are born in sin and we die in sin.  The only way to be saved is through an unfailing belief in the truth above. Our Christian faith is not an inclusive faith.  We cannot say that we worship the same GOD as others if their GOD did not send HIS Son Jesus Christ to die for us. 

Therefore it is our duty as faithful followers of GOD to spread the truth of our GOD.  Jesus is the only way to get to GOD.  There is no other way.  We are saved by the grace of GOD.  This grace gave us the life of HIS Son.  This grace forgives all our sins and puts them as far as East is from West when we confess them to GOD and beg for forgiveness.  We have to forgive others when they sin against us.

Most of all Jesus asked us to love one another. 

Today let us go out and make GOD our first, our last and our all!.   Let us spread the good news about Jesus and let us beg GOD to forgive us our sins and let us forgive all those who have sinned against us.  

Prayer:  

Our FATHER, who art in Heaven.  
Hallowed be THY Name.  
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. 
Give us our daily bread and 
forgive us our trespassers as we forgive those who trespass against us. 
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.  
For THINE is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory.  
Forever and ever.  Amen.

Praise the LORD!

Praise the LORD!  Today is the first day of spring in the Southern Hemisphere.  And GOD who created all the seasons is to be praised.

Let us fall down on our knees today and praise this wonderful, merciful GOD whom we are honoured to call our FATHER in Heaven.

Draw closer to GOD and walk outside and take a look at the stars.  Feel the heat coming back after the winter and know that our FATHER is as steadfast as the seasons.

Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU today for the seasons.  I thank YOU that YOU are faithful and true and merciful and gracious.  I thank YOU FATHER that I can serve YOU.  

I humbly ask today that you forgive my sins as I forgive all those who sin against me. 

I ask this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.
