How our GOD loves us!

How do we know that we are in Christ and that Christ is in us?  We just have to read the scriptures above.  John the Disciple of Jesus was very clear on this point. 

Our hearts will convict us.  When we keep GOD's commandments and love GOD above all else.  When we love each other the way Jesus loves us. 

Then we know and we are very sure that we are in Christ and Christ is in us.  Our GOD is bigger.  Our GOD is greater.  Our GOD can convict our hearts and fill us with the Holy Spirit who will put us in Christ and Christ in us.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for convicting me to love YOU above all else.  FATHER convict me to love my neighbour as myself.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Children of GOD

As John says here in this verse, we are chosen to be children of GOD.  We therefore need to make our FATHER in Heaven proud of us at all times.  We need to reflect the love of GOD and the light of Jesus here on earth, or we are not truly behaving like the children of this awesome, magnificent GOD who created us.

Today, let us go out and shine our light.  Let us reflect the light that Jesus gave us by which to live.  Let us be the word of Jesus on earth.  Let us praise GOD in everything we do and let us give all glory to GOD, to Jesus and to the Holy Spirit.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I pray that YOU give me light to shine on earth today.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Saviour.  Amen.

Our GOD is bigger than all our problems!

Today has been such a special day that I realized once again what an awesome GOD we serve.  GOD's plans are always perfect.

The harder we try to get GOD into our plans, the harder our lives become.  When we relinquish our will to align with GOD's plans, our lives start to go so much easier.  This does not mean that we will not have troubles.  Troubles will always be there.  It means that we realize that we need to rely on GOD and HE strengthens us in times of trouble.

So I want to give thanks once again to the awesome GOD that we worship.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, Thank YOU that YOU are so much greater than my problems.  I thank YOU that YOU have a perfect plan for my life and I want to be in YOUR plan.  I pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

All things work together for good for those that love GOD!

Our GOD is wonderful.  Our GOD is awesome.  Our GOD is great.  HE is indescribable.  And we know from the verse above that all things work together for good to those that love GOD.

Therefore when we face trials and tribulations.  When we face troubles.  Our first action should be to "praise GOD".    Yes, not to ask GOD for help.  But to praise HIM.  This is what GOD is all about.  We are created for one reason.  To worship our GOD and to praise HIM.  

All the other things in our lives are secondary to this purpose.

GOD has destined us to perform good works in HIS name.  He has chosen each one of us to be HIS children.  But we need to praise HIM first and then we can ask for anything.  If it is to HIS glory, this will be granted.

So today, let us bow down and worship our GOD.  Let us sing praises to HIM.  For HE is great and glorious and gracious.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU created me and I thank YOU for the life that YOU have given me to live.  I thank YOU for YOUR grace in sending Jesus Christ to save me from my sins.

Father I pray all of this in the glorious name of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Trust GOD and HE will help you!

GOD truly does help those who trust in HIM.  GOD will move mountains for us if we but believe that HE can do that.

So often in my life I have seen miracles.  I have written some of them down in these blogs and you can read them.  Follow the links on the side of the blog to read a very few of them.

Each and every day we see miracles around us.  Each birth of a new baby is a miracle.  We cannot create that.  We cannot create flowers or birds or trees or the stars or the sun or the moon.  Yet GOD created everything from nothing.  So for GOD nothing is impossible.  

Today let us put ALL our faith in our mighty FATHER in Heaven.  Let us start by praising HIS Holy Name and worshipping HIM.  Let us accept Jesus as our Saviour and our Redeemer.  Let us ask GOD to pour the Holy Spirit out on us. 

Let GOD fill us with HIS love and and HIS grace.  Let us beg GOD to forgive our sins and let us forgive those who have sinned against us.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER I love YOU.  Fill me with the Holy Spirit to see the miracles that I miss every day.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Do not judge others!

Do not judge others.  In any way.  There are no exceptions.  Jesus will judge us and He sits at the right hand of GOD our FATHER in Heaven.

No matter what we believe is right or wrong, no matter what the person has done, we are not to judge.  Not even a little bit.  For as we judge, so shall the same measure be applied to us and not one of us is not a sinner.

We are only saved through the immense Grace of GOD.  

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace.  Show me how not to judge others FATHER.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Saviour.  Amen.

GOD will meet all our needs!

GOD will meet all our needs.  GOD will not meet all our wants.  So we need to learn to distinguish what we really need and what we want.

We also need to ask GOD to give according to HIS powerful, mighty plan.  When we get into that way of praying, we will find that our prayers are being answered more readily and we are hearing GOD talking to us.

Let us today pray for the right things.  Let us pray to have GOD give us according to HIS will so that HIS will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I pray today that YOU give me according to YOUR will and not according to my wants.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Nothing is impossible for GOD!

When we face problems in life, it seems to us that our prayers are sometimes futile in the face of adversity.

However, we have to remember that our GOD, our AMAZING GOD created everything out of nothing.  Therefore nothing is impossible for HIM.

No matter how big our problems are, our GOD is bigger.

Today let us worship this most awesome GOD we serve.  Let us sing to HIM.  Let us pray to HIM. Let us worship HIS HOLY NAME.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU created everything from nothing.  I thank YOU that YOU are so much bigger than my problems.  FATHER today help me to overcome my problems.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

A gracious GOD!

GOD wants to spread the good news.  The news that HE is a gracious merciful GOD.  The news that if we accept Jesus as our Saviour, we are saved.

This is a simple truth.  We worship an awesome GOD.  So let us go out and spread the news today.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR love and for YOUR grace. FATHER today show me how to shine YOUR splendour on the earth.  I pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

A servant of Christ

We cannot serve two masters.  For either one will not be served properly.  In order for us to serve GOD, we must forego serving the things of this earth.

This means that when we serve, everything must be for the glory of GOD.  We have to become servants of Christ and only live to please GOD.

Today let us resolve to serve GOD with all our hearts, with all our minds, with all our strength and with all our souls.  For our GOD is jealous GOD and HE wants to be first and last and everything in our lives.

Whatever we do let us do it for GOD.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I love YOU.  YOU are my all in all.  YOU are my everything.  Without YOU I am nothing.  With YOU I can face anything.  FATHER show me how to serve YOU in everything I do.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

Melchizedek

Melchizedek is mentioned in the old Testament and the new Testament.  He is a high priest and he has no genealogy.  However, Jesus was not Melchizedek.  Rather, Jesus, when He came to earth had a genealogy that could be traced back all the way to the beginning of time on earth and to King David.  

Jesus came to earth as a man and not as a high priest.  But Jesus is of the order of Melchizedek and not of the order of the Levites, who trace their ancestry to Aaron.

Why is this so important? 

It is important because Jesus came to bring us a new way to get to GOD.  Not through sacrifices and atonements, but through grace.  

Therefore by accepting Jesus as the Son of GOD, and believing that He lived on earth as a man, that He died on the cross and the He conquered death on the third day, we are saved.  All we need to do is to say, "I believe that Jesus is my Saviour" and we are saved.

Obviously when we accept this truth, the Holy Spirit will be poured out on us and we will be convicted to be followers of Jesus.  Through this conviction, we are called on to beg GOD to forgive our sins and to forgive others who have sinned against us.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  I accept Jesus as my Saviour.  Forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  I pray this in the Name of  Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Are we ready for the Rapture?

We do not know the time of the rapture.  Scripture makes it very clear that even Jesus does not know the hour.  Only GOD knows.

But are we ready for the rapture?  If the rapture took place today or tomorrow, do we have unfinished business on earth.  And by that I mean, do we have people with whom we have had trouble and strife?  Have we asked GOD to forgive our sins.  Have we prayed for the souls of people we know?

Today let us get ready for the rapture.  Let us go through our address books and look up family and friends with whom we may have fallen out and let us seek them and ask for forgiveness.  Let us ask GOD to forgive our sins.  Let us contemplate our lives and look back to the times we have sinned.  Let us ask the Holy Spirit to convict us and then let us fall down on our knees and ask GOD humbly to forgive us.

GOD is a loving, forgiving GOD.  And HE has given us HIS grace.  Let us accept it and get ready so that if the Rapture happens, we are ready.  

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, today I call on YOU to forgive my sins as I forgive all those who have sinned against me.  I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour.

I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Faith is hope!

GOD gives us hope.  This is the hope that we can spend eternal life with HIM.  How do we get there?  Through faith.

Faith that Jesus Christ is the Son of GOD.  Faith that Jesus came to earth, lived here as a man, died on a cross to save us from our sins.  Jesus rose from the dead on the third day.  He now sits at the right hand of GOD our FATHER. 

So today, let us exercise our faith.  Let us tell people about the life of Jesus.  The sacrifice that He made so that we might have this wonderful faith.  He will judge us. 

We cannot get to Heaven through works, or good deeds or by being kind and loving.  We can only get there by the grace of GOD.  This grace is given to us by GOD when we have faith. 

Faith grows stronger and stronger when we exercise it.  We exercise it by reading GOD's word.  We exercise it through prayer.  We exercise it by using it often to tell others about the life of Jesus Christ.  Our Lord and our Saviour.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace.  FATHER, show me how to exercise my faith and give me opportunities to do so.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

Stay faithfully GOD blessed today.  

Man is created in the image of GOD!

When GOD created us HE made us in HIS image.  HE created us male and female.  HE gave us dominion over the earth and all the things on the earth and in the sea.  

This is a huge responsibility and I wonder how many of us realise that we have this responsibility.

It is not just about having the dominion, but it is caring for, and caring about the earth.

Today let us consider this and ponder it and then let us set in place things that we can do the take better care of this earth.  One day, we are going to have to give an account of our lives to GOD.  Let us be in a position to say that we took care of this earth.  

Let us also be in a position to say that we told others of this responsibility and that we took care of the other people who are also created in GOD''s image.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, help me to be a responsible citizen of this planet.  Let me be responsible not only to the creatures of this earth, but also to each person that I meet.

I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

When sickness comes!

Dearest fellow children of GOD, I thank you for always following my blog and for reading GOD's word.

I have been ill with the most dreadful flu,  and have decided that during this time I would not write.  By the grace of GOD, I am feeling a lot better.  My energy has returned and I write with renewed vigour.  I have missed you all and hope that this blog will open our hearts to hear the words of our FATHER in Heaven.  I pray for each one reading this that GOD is blessing them most richly.

When illness strikes, it is always at the wrong time.  We just do not need to be ill.  However, sometimes it is GOD intervening in our lives.  It is GOD saying to us, take rest and contemplate your relationship with me.  That is what I have been doing.  I have come to the conclusion that GOD is so much bigger than my problems.  GOD can heal us and HE can decide that we are not going to be healed for  whatever reason.  The main thing is that in GOD we trust.  

Let us not question this mighty GOD we serve.  Let us endure and take our health problems and give them to HIM and then everything will be to HIS glory.  This is difficult and it sounds trite.  But I am not trying to be trite or to diminish the illnesses that some of us are having to endure.  What I am trying to do is to bring comfort in the knowledge that our FATHER in Heaven has a plan and HE knows what we are going through.  HE knows the beginning and the end of all of our stories.  HE wants the very best for us and it may not include that we are free from suffering and pain on this earth.

Therefore today let us give the glory to GOD and say:

Our FATHER, who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be THY name,
THY Kingdom come,
THY will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For THINE is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory 
Forever and ever.

Amen.

Trust in GOD completely!

Sometimes we need to look back on our lives to see the work of GOD.  We look back and realize that GOD has a plan and that HIS plan has been perfect.  HIS plan has worked out so much better than the plans we thought we had.

In the modern world, we are told to put together our goals for the year, for two years, for five years and for ten years.  If anything, GOD has taught us that we plan and that HE laughs at our feeble attempts.  We are so small and so insignificant to HIS great plan.  Yet HE loves each one of us uniquely.  HE wants a relationship with each one of us and HE wants us in HIS plan.

Today, let us hold hands and jump into GOD's plan together.  

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER I thank YOU for YOUR glorious plan.  Let me get into YOUR perfect plan.  I pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus Wept!

Jesus wept!  This is such an immensely significant verse for all of us.  It brings home the realization that Jesus came to earth as a man.  Jesus felt great grief.  In the same way that we grieve, so did Jesus.  He wept tears and His heart ached for His friends, the family of Lazarus.

We tend to think of Jesus as being a supernatural being.  But this is absolutely not the case.  Jesus had exactly the same trials and tribulations that we have.  He experienced the same emotions and the same reactions.

Therefore when we are in pain, or in grief, let us run straight into the arms of our loving Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Who indeed, weeps with us when we have troubles.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU for Jesus in my life.  I thank YOU that Jesus is my Lord and Saviour.  FATHER help me in whatever pains me today.  I pray this most humbly in the Name of my Lord and Saviour, my Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Stay sympathetically GOD blessed today!

Cast all your cares upon the LORD!

We have a FATHER in Heaven who tells us to cast all our cares upon HIM.  What will HE do with our cares, HE will sustain us.

That means that no matter what, GOD will give us the strength to get through this as well.

So today, whatever cares we have, let us give them up to our FATHER in Heaven.  For HE will surely sustain each one of us.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, Thank YOU that YOU are so big and so strong and so capable of sustaining me, no matter what.  I love YOU FATHER and I ask that YOU have mercy on me and my troubles and sustain me through this.

I pray this in the Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.
