Jesus wept! This is such an immensely significant verse for all of us. It brings home the realization that Jesus came to earth as a man. Jesus felt great grief. In the same way that we grieve, so did Jesus. He wept tears and His heart ached for His friends, the family of Lazarus.
We tend to think of Jesus as being a supernatural being. But this is absolutely not the case. Jesus had exactly the same trials and tribulations that we have. He experienced the same emotions and the same reactions.
Therefore when we are in pain, or in grief, let us run straight into the arms of our loving Saviour, Jesus Christ. Who indeed, weeps with us when we have troubles.
Prayer: Heavenly FATHER GOD, I thank YOU for Jesus in my life. I thank YOU that Jesus is my Lord and Saviour. FATHER help me in whatever pains me today. I pray this most humbly in the Name of my Lord and Saviour, my Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Amen.
