ABBA FATHER!

 ABBA FATHER!  This is a very tender exhortation.  And we are allowed to call our CREATOR FATHER, ABBA FATHER!  What a privilege!

Let us never forget who our FATHER is.  HE created everything.  The entire universe.  And HE created us.  And HE loves each one of us.  No matter who we are, or what we do, GOD loves us.  And HE wants us to draw near to HIM.  HE loves us so much that HE gave us HIS Son to take the place of our sin.  

We are well loved!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I love YOU and I thank YOU that I am able to call YOU ABBA FATHER.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Righteousness of GOD!

 GOD is truly righteousness.  GOD was not created.  GOD is the CREATOR.  And we should never try to equate GOD to man.  Man is not and never can be GOD.  The things we have created are tiny in comparison to the GOD we serve.

Therefore, when we talk about righteousness, only GOD can be righteousness.  We do not have righteous anger.  We are not righteous.  We are sinners and we need the grace of GOD and blood of Jesus to absolve us and make us acceptable to our FATHER in Heaven.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that through YOUR grace and favour, I am saved from myself and my sinful nature.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Spread the Word!

The good news is that we can all be saved through the sacrifice Jesus made when He gave up His life for us on the cross. 

We have to do nothing else to be saved, except to believe that Jesus is our Lord and our Saviour.  However, as children of GOD, we are expected to spread the good news to other.  The story of our salvation needs to be preached all around the world.

Perhaps we need to ask ourselves, how are we spreading the news?  Or are we keeping it to ourselves!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU that I am saved through my faith in Jesus Christ my Lord and my Saviour.  FATHER, show me how and where I can spread the good news.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Search the Scriptures

 We need to keep our minds focused on GOD.  In order to do that, we need to "search the Scriptures" daily.  We need to have a daily habit of reading our Bibles.  We need to pray to GOD about everything.  We need to thank GOD daily for our blessings.  We need to ask GOD for advice on each and every decision that we take.  

That way, our faith will grow daily.  We will know our FATHER and we will know HIS voice.  We will know HIS will for our lives. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR word that I am able to read freely each and every day.  I thank YOU for my faith and I humbly ask that YOU grow it in me as I pray to YOU about everything in my life.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Whoever will not listen!

 As Christians, it is our job to spread the good news.  The good news is that we are saved by the Grace of GOD.  Not by our works or our deeds.  For all have sinned and fall far short of the Glory of our FATHER.  We cannot make ourselves righteous.  No matter how perfectly we behave.

Jesus commanded His disciples to go out and to tell people that all can be saved.  What can we do to be saved.  ABC.

Admit that we are sinners.

Believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour.

Confess with our mouths that Jesus is the way the truth and the life.  And if people do not want to listen to us, then we are told in Mark 6 to shake the dust off our feet, and move on.

We cannot change peoples opinions or beliefs if they do not wish to change.  And repentance means a change of heart.  We can tell them the good news and we can show then through our own actions that we have changed.  But if they still will not listen, shake the dust off and move along.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, give me the strength to spread the good news in such a way that people do want to change.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

We can always rely on GOD!

 In the verse above we read about Peter having been incarcerated and having two soldiers handcuffed to him.  And yet GOD had a plan for Peter and that plan did not include Peter being in jail.  So GOD sent and angel to deliver Peter from jail.

So often we discount the help of GOD.  We ask for help and seemingly from nowhere, we are helped.  Never underestimate the power of our FATHER.  Our FATHER can do anything, and all we have to do is to have the faith and the belief that HE can still perform miracles.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I can always call on YOU and I know that I can always rely on YOU.  Thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Faith comes from hearing!

 Faith comes from hearing.  Jesus said "those who have ears, let them hear!". And hearing comes to us through the Word of Jesus Christ.

This is why it is so important that we attend Churches and so important that we attend Bible groups where we can hear the Word of Jesus.  So that we might grow in our faith. 

We can also hear the Word of GOD when we read our Bibles and when we pray.  

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR word, Jesus Christ.  I thank YOU that YOU through YOUR enormous grace we have the opportunity to open our the ears and the eyes of our hearts to YOU.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  AMEN.

Stay obediently GOD blessed today. 

Obey GOD rather than men!

 As the apostles said, "we need to obey GOD rather than man", so should we know what true obedience to the LORD means.  We should know GOD's laws and we should want to obey GOD.  Jesus is our Lord and our Master.  

Knowing what GOD wants for us, means listening to GOD, daily.  We can do this by reading our Bibles.  We can do this by prayer.  We can do this by sharing with other like minded Christians.  And we can do this by asking GOD to fill us with the Holy Spirit.  This Holy Spirit will guide us to the truth always.

ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I am able to listen to YOUR voice and I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  I thank YOU that YOU gave us our Lord Jesus, our Redeemer, our Saviour.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  Amen.

GOD speaks!

 If we listen for the voice of GOD, we may hear it.  We can hear the voice of GOD through reading our Bibles.  We can hear the voice of GOD through our prayers.

In Acts, Paul was told by GOD to keep on speaking.  Do we know what GOD wants for our lives?

Are we listening?

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, speak to me tonight I pray,  Tell me what YOU want for my life and show me where YOU want me to be.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Trust in the Lord always!

 We are truly blessed when we trust fully in our LORD.  Our FATHER has us in the palm of HIS hand.  We are HIS creation and HE wants the very best for us.  

With that said, we have been given free will.  And so has everyone of earth.  GOD wants us to have free will.  When we hand that free will back to GOD, that is when we understand the perfect plan that GOD always has for us.

Today, let us let go of ourselves and give ourselves over to our FATHER in Heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I can trust fully in YOU.  I thank YOU for YOUR perfect plan and I put my trust and my life in YOU.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Once we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we are able to speak the Word of GOD with boldness.  GOD, when Jesus ascended into Heaven, gave us a Counsellor, the Holy Spirit.  This Holy Spirit is poured out on us when accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour.

It is a true blessing to be able to share the word of GOD with anyone who wants to hear it.  GOD gives us the boldness to share it.  

If you do not feel bold enough to share the Word of GOD, then ask GOD to fill you with HIS Holy Spirit and suddenly, you will find that you no longer fear approaching people and sharing the good news with them.  The good news is that Jesus has redeemed our sins for us on the cross.  He has washed them as white as snow and through Him we have eternal life with our FATHER.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for the boldness of being able to share YOUR grace with others.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Every knee will bow to GOD!

 Every single promise that GOD has made, GOD has kept.  And in Romans, we are told that every knee will bow to GOD and every single person will declare allegiance to GOD.

But not every person will get to spend eternity in the presence of our FATHER, GOD.  That is why it is so important to make the decision to believe in Jesus.  To believe that Jesus is our Lord and our Saviour.  

If you have not done so today, please make the decision.  Admit that we are sinners.  Believe in our hearts that Jesus is our Lord and our Saviour.  Confess with our mouths that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Prayer:   ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for the wonderful life YOU have given me to live.  Make me worthy of YOUR love and YOUR grace.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus of Nazareth

 

Jesus of Nazareth.  This is who Peter called upon when he wanted to perform a miracle.  He told the man, "gold and silver have I none, but in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk"

Let us remember this when we want to call upon our Lord and Saviour.  Let us follow Peter's example and let us call upon the full name of our Saviour, our Lord and our Redeemer.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I am so glad that I have Jesus Christ of Nazareth as my Lord and my Saviour.  Tonight, FATHER, I pray that Jesus Christ of Nazareth watch over me and my family.  I thank YOU FATHER for YOUR grace and favour in sending Jesus Christ to be my Redeemer.  Amen.

Believe in Jesus!

Salvation is only possible when we have a belief in Jesus.  The way to have a belief in Jesus is to have a relationship with GOD.  GOD has given us the Bible and we can read this.  

The more time we spend in the Bible, the easier it becomes to believe in Jesus.  Reading GOD's word to us each and every day will strengthen our belief in Jesus.  Praying to GOD also strengthens our belief in Jesus.  Through prayer and reading our Bibles, GOD can commune with us and our faith becomes stronger and stronger. 

We are also far more likely to accept Jesus as we grow in our knowledge of the works that Jesus did on earth.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER strengthen the faith of all reading this blog today.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus came to give us life more abundantly!

 In the times we are living, it is easy to dwell on the thieves who come to steal and to kill.  But as children of God and co heirs in GOD with Him, we need to remember the wonderful free gift of eternal life that we have been given in Jesus.

We can have life in abundance if we accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour.  Today, please do this if you have not done it.  Accept Jesus and get an abundance of life!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER thank YOU for my Lord and my Saviour Jesus Christ.  I thank YOU for the abundance of life which YOU have freely given me through YOUR grace.  Forgive my sins as I forgive all those who sin against me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus is light!

 Jesus is the light of the world.  In Him there is no darkness.  The darkness can never overcome the light. 

What a wonderful thought to know that we have the light of the world with us day and night.  We are never alone when we accept Jesus as our Redeemer.  We have the way to eternal life. We have the way to the truth and we have the way to forgiveness of our sins.  And all we have to do is to accept Jesus in our lives as our Redeemer.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I am so glad that I have Jesus in my life.  Thank YOU for sending YOUR Son to this earth to be my light, my way and my truth.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Children of GOD!

 When we believe in Jesus, we are given the right to become children of GOD.  Co Heirs with Jesus.  What a privilege and all we have to do is to believe!

Today, if you have not yet done so, I implore you to take Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.  Admit that you are sinners.  Believe in your hearts that Jesus is the Saviour and confess with your mouths that Jesus is the way to GOD.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, tonight I thank YOU for my Lord and my Saviour, Jesus Christ.  I am a sinner. Please forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

In the beginning - John 1 verse 1

 When we read John, John was the disciple who refers to himself as the disciple whom Jesus loved.  And it is evident from this gospel that John wanted us to know that Jesus, although born of a human mother, was fully GOD.

So the Book of John describes Jesus as the Word.  And the Word was not created, but the Word was the Creator.  The world and indeed this universe that we live in, was spoken into being by the Word.  The Word was GOD and the Word was with GOD.  

So John wants us to know, right from the getgo that we are dealing with Jesus, our CREATOR GOD.   Jesus the Son of GOD - part of the Holy Trinity.  We are not to ever think that Jesus was only a man.  He came to earth in human form and lived amongst us, but He was fully GOD and at any time, He could and did reveal His Deity to us.  When He turned water into wine.  When he raised Lazarus from the dead.  When He healed the sick.  When He fed the multitudes.  Jesus was and is fully GOD.

Therefore we must accept Jesus in order to get to GOD.  No one comes to the FATHER, except through the Son.  Believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  Jesus is the only Way to have eternal life with our CREATOR GOD.  

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for Jesus.  I know that Jesus is my Redeemer and my Saviour.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

If we love Jesus, we will obey His teaching!

 There are a few things that happen when we love someone.  Firstly we want to please them.  Secondly, with true love, we will naturally obey their teachings.  Jesus tells us that if we love Him, we will obey His teaching.  And the result of this is that the FATHER will love us, and Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the FATHER will come to us and make Their home with us.

What a profoundly beautiful thought.  And it should be enough for us to want to love Jesus.

Prayer:  Dearest Jesus, I truly love YOU and I want to obey Your teachings.  Help me to be obedient to Your word, so that You and the FATHER and the Holy Spirit come and live with me.  I pray this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and my Saviour.  Amen.
