There are a few things that happen when we love someone. Firstly we want to please them. Secondly, with true love, we will naturally obey their teachings. Jesus tells us that if we love Him, we will obey His teaching. And the result of this is that the FATHER will love us, and Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the FATHER will come to us and make Their home with us.
What a profoundly beautiful thought. And it should be enough for us to want to love Jesus.
Prayer: Dearest Jesus, I truly love YOU and I want to obey Your teachings. Help me to be obedient to Your word, so that You and the FATHER and the Holy Spirit come and live with me. I pray this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. My Lord and my Saviour. Amen.
