The above verse is not the definition of faith. Rather it is the explanation of faith.
Through our belief in Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Redeemer, we become the co heirs of the eternal Kingdom with Jesus. We obviously cannot see eternity. We cannot fathom eternity. But when we take Jesus as our Saviour, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within us.
The Holy Spirit convicts us to move our "goal posts" off achieving on earth and moves our sights towards Heaven.
Once we know that we are going to Heaven, we can start to focus on building our eternal homes in Heaven.
Through this process we are being refined by GOD. We are becoming more and more like Jesus. This looks like something. The things of this earth will grow strangely dim and we will no longer desire to have the things of this world which can be stolen or will rust or will be eaten by moths.
Less and less will we worry about what we will eat, or what we will wear or where we will live.
GOD knows what we need and if our faith is strong, GOD will take care of our needs.
This does not mean we should stop work or stop paying our bills. Rather it means that we should work as for the LORD. We should do the good works GOD gives us to do as well.
Today, let us shift our eyes towards our KING and start to look forward to eternity. Let us put our future into the Hands of our LORD!
Prayer: ABBA FATHER, thank YOU that I am a child of YOURS. Thank YOU that through YOUR grace and mercy, I have faith that I will have eternity to spend with YOU. FATHER make me see my eternal life far clearer than this life on earth. I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Stay faithfully GOD blessed today!
