Be Still and know that I am God!

God tells us to be still and know that He is LORD over all.  What an amazing  God we serve.

When trials come our way, before we go into difficult situations, He tells us, "Be Still and know that I am LORD of all!"

Draw near to our magnificent God.  Read His word and know His will for our lives.  Pray to Him and glorify Him above all else.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank You that You are God and Lord over all!  Thank You that You are My God.   I thank You Heavenly Father that I can talk to You and pray to You.  I am so thankful for my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

This is the Lord's Day!

God has made today.  God has made all the days.  In fact God made EVERYTHING!  

As we go about our business today, let us rejoice in the time God has given us here on earth and let us make the most of each and every day.  

When we are about to close our eyes tonight, let us give thanks to God for another day that we had to move closer to Him and to ensure that one day, we might spend eternity with Him.

Prayer:  Omniscient, Omnipresent, Omnipotent God, I thank You Father for this time on earth.  I thank You that I can talk to You and that I can read Your word.  I thank You that You are always there for me.  Let me draw ever closer to You, Abba Father!  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

God is Patient!

God wants all of us to be in Heaven with Him.  He is not slow to keep His promises to us.  He sent His Son to atone for our sins.  He promised us that He would and He did!  

We need to repent of our sins and we need to forgive those who sin against us.    We need to love our brothers and sisters as we love ourselves.  We need to Love God above all others.  This is the way to Heaven.

Let us today ask God for His forgiveness of our sins as we are prepared to forgive all who have sinned against us.  

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You today that you are never slow to keep Your promises to us.  I humbly ask that You forgive my sins.  I forgive all those who have sinned against me.  I ask all this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Believe in Jesus!

God tells us not to let our hearts be troubled.  We need to believe in Him and in His Son Jesus.  We are then not alone as the Holy Spirit will come and live in us.  So we will never be alone.

In order to be a Christian and to walk a Christian path free from worry and anxiety, we need to draw closer to our Father.  We can do this through daily reading of His word.  We can speak to Him every day about everything.  And we can then draw on the inner strength that He will give us through His Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, please let me draw closer to You today.  Let me hear Your voice in my ears and let me read Your word.  I want the Holy Spirit to live in me and I want to reflect Your glory on earth.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus was with God in the beginning!

Jesus was with God in the beginning of creation.  John tells us this as he starts the Gospel of John.  So Jesus came down to earth in the New Testament to live on earth with us as a Human Being.  He died for us so that we may have eternity with He and God and the Holy Spirit. 

Jesus had no need to come to earth.  He is God above.  The Holy Trinity.  He did this for us.  

We are truly blessed to be children of such a great God.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, I thank You for the blessings that You shower on us.  I thank You for Your enormous Grace in sending Your Son Jesus Christ to live on this earth.  I pray that I may be ever mindful of how I live my life so that I can truly reflect Your glory.  I pray this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

God gives us everything that is perfect!

God loves each one of us and He wants the very best for us.  He sends us only perfect and good gifts.  What we do with them is up to each one of us.

Let us pray to God today to enable us to see the wonderful gifts we have been given.  Let us talk to God today.  Let us read His word.  Let us share His word.

Watch the sunset today and try to watch the sunrise tomorrow and see the wonder and beauty that God has given us.  Walk outside and see the stars.  God can measure the Pleiades between His thumb and His forefinger.  This is the awesome God that loves each one of us.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that You love me.  I love you more than anything on this earth Father.  I humbly ask that You hear my prayers and let me see the beauty and wonder of Your creation.  I ask this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Love thy neighbour as thyself!

God tells us to love our neighbours as ourselves and in so doing fulfill the law.  

The whole law or commandment is that we first love our God, then ourselves, then our neighbours. 

In other words the trinity is then complete and the law is kept.  Love our God with all our hearts and with all our mind and with all our bodies.  Then we are to love ourselves as we are made in the image of God.  And then we are to love our neighbours who are also made in the image of God.  

What an awesome God we serve!

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, today I pray that I may love You above all else on earth.  I pray that I may love myself, whom you made perfectly.  I pray that I may love my neighbour as myself.  I pray all of this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Our Faith needs to be alive!

When we believe in God and we are filled with the Holy Spirit, our faith comes alive.

Like a lighthouse which is not working, is of no use to the ships at sea, so our faith without life is of no use to our walk with God.  

We need to shine our lights as Christians.  We need to be alive in Christ!

We get to do this when we pray to God and He talks to us.  We draw closer to Him when we read His word.  We are given the Holy Spirit that lives in us and will guide us and counsel us and comfort us.

Prayer:  Almighty God, our Father in Heaven, we thank You that You sent the Jesus Christ to earth.  We thank You that when Jesus went back to live with You in Heaven, You sent Your Holy Spirit to be with us.  We ask that You make us alive today.  We pray this in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Trust in the Lord!

God wants us to put our confidence in Him.  He created us.  He knows what is best for us, and He wants us to trust Him implicitly.  This is a difficult thing to do when we want to be in control of our lives.

However, when we trust Him completely, He will take us by the hand and lead us into His eternal life.  With confidence!

We can learn to trust in God by speaking to Him daily and by praying to Him daily.  

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You that I can put my trust in you.  I thank You that you are immutable and that You are always there for me.  I thank You that You know what is best for me.  I pray today, God, that I may learn to lean on You more.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Tithe our time and spend it with God!

God promises us that if we bring Him our tithes and offerings, He will throw open the floodgates to us.  

We always tend to assume that this means just our money.  It includes our time.  God wants us to spend our first time with Him and our last time with Him.  He is after all the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end!

All God gives us when we are born is time on earth.  We come into the world with absolutely nothing else.  We are not even clothed.  That is up to someone on earth to close us and feed us.   God gives us precious time.  His time.  He created it.  

Let us choose to wisely spend more than ten percent of our day with day.  Let us start our day with Him and end our day with Him.  Let us read our Bibles when we wake up and when we go to sleep.  Let us pray to Him continually throughout the day. 

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, I pray today that I may spend more time with You.  I want to talk to You everyday and all day.  I ask humbly Father, that You hear me and walk with me and talk with me.  I ask this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

God gives me strength!

God will give us strength.  We need to believe this!  God watches over us day and night.  He knows the number of hairs on our heads.  He knit us in our mothers' wombs.  He loves us and He wants a relationship with us.

God also gave us free will, so we have to draw near to Him.  We need to call on His mighty strength when we need it.  We need to read His word and listen for His voice.  We need to pray to him every day and about everything.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are always with me.  I thank You that I can call on You any time and that You are always there for me.  Help me to draw near to You today.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Blessed are those whose sins are forgiven!

Paul tells us in Romans, that those who transgressions are forgiven, are blessed and their sins are covered.  Their sins are covered through the shedding of the blood of Jesus on the cross for us to be able to have eternal life with Him.

What an enormous gift God has given us.  The complete forgiveness of our sins when we truly repent. 

Let us make an effort today to remember our sins and to repent of them and then to ask God to forgive us.  Let us also remember those who have sinned against us and let us forgive them completely today. 

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, I thank You that You sent Your Son to die for my sins on a cross.  I thank You that He sits at Your right hand and that You did this for me.  I pray that You forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me. I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

God measured the heavens!

The God that we serve is HUGE!  He measured off the heavens with the breadth of His hand!

God SPOKE the earth into existence.  He just said "Let there be light" and indeed there was light.

We have an AMAZING God to serve.  Let us serve Him with gratitude and delight.  Let us talk to Him daily and let us read His mighty word.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, I thank You that You created me.  I thank You that I am created in Your image.  I pray Father, that I can reflect Your light on earth.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Do not fear!

Do not fear anything.  Reach out your hand and reach for God and He will grasp you and keep you safe in His hands.

We need to draw close to God and we can do this every day.  We can speak to God and read His word and think about Him.  He is always listening to us, whether we know this or not.  He is always with us!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are always there.   I thank You that You are listening to me and I thank You that I can take refuge in You.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom!

Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom!  In Proverbs we read that a little fear of the Lord is better than great wealth with turmoil.

As Christians today we face trials and tribulations in almost every situation every day.  We have to face the traffic on our way to work and meetings.  We have conflict situations to deal with in our dealings with people. We listen to the news and the world is full of turmoil and conflict. 

However, when we are alone with our God, our Creator, we can spend time in quiet reflection.  We can talk quietly to God without the white noise around us.  We can pray to God quietly and await His responses to us.

Let us today make a conscious effort to spend more quiet time with God and know that when we talk about fear of the Lord, it is not about being scared of God, it is more about appreciating His enormous presence here on earth and in our lives.  It is about the absolute might of a God who can achieve anything!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You that I have a direct line to Your presence through Your Son, Jesus Christ.  I thank You that I can speak to You daily and I thank You that I can read Your word to me today.  

I pray today Father, that You will always be with me.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Run to God!

Our Father in Heaven tells us to call on His Name for shelter and refuge.  In these times, more than ever, we need to have a safe place where we can shelter.

As Christians, we have the strongest shelter when we run to God.  Nobody and nothing can harm the Godly when we are truly in God's shelter.  

We are told to be Godly in order to have access to God's shelter, and to become Godly we have to be more like God.  We need to be loving, kind, generous and forgiving.  We need to have a really close relationship with God and this we can achieve by reading His word daily, by praying to Him about every aspect of our lives and by forgiving others as He forgives us.  

Prayer: Heavenly Father, today I thank You that I can take refuge in Your stronghold and Your shelter.  I pray that I may draw closer to You.  I forgive those who sin against me, as You forgive me of my sins.  I pray today that You will forgive me when I sin.  I pray all this in the name of my Lord and Saviour. Jesus Christ.  Amen.  

Carry each other's burdens!

God sent His Son Jesus, to be our shepherd.  Jesus looks after us as a shepherd tends his sheep.  God wants us to tend each other in the same way as Jesus tends us. 

Let us today make sure that we look after each other just the way Jesus looks after each one of us!  Let us listen to the needs of others and let us help where we can.  Let us lighten the load for others in even the smallest way!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You that I have Jesus in my life and that He looks after me.  I pray Father today that I am able to look after others in the same way.  I pray this in the powerful name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

God weighs our hearts!

God weighs our hearts.  As Christians, we need to think carefully about our lives.  What we do, what we say but most of all what we think. 

God will judge us by what we did on earth, but He will also judge how we did it and what was in our hearts when we did it.

Let us today make an effort to have good in our hearts always.

Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank You that you gave me life.  I thank You that you will judge me and I trust that when You read my heart, Lord, You will find it pure.  Help me Father to think good thoughts and to purify my mind.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Test the spirits to see that they are from God!

God is always true.  He does not change.  When we get prophetic messages, let us always be mindful to test that they are true.

God wants us to be His children and therefore He will never lie to us or deceive us.  When someone gives us a prophetic message, always take it to God in prayer and God will show you the voracity of it through signs and confirmations.  

Let us not be deceived.  God is good and awesome! God loves us all!

Draw close to God through continual prayer and through the daily reading of His word and you will always walk in truth, 

Prayer:  Heavenly Father I thank You that You are completely trustworthy and that You are Holy.  I humbly ask Father that You guide me to walk in the truth and light.  I thank You that You sent the Light of the world to give me eternal life.  I pray all this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Give thanks to God!

Let us today show our deepest gratitude to God for all that we have.  Let us reflect on our family, our friends, our lives and let us fall down before our Heavenly Father and thank Him.

God only wants the very best for all of us.  Let us give Him our very best, our sincerest gratitude for His abounding grace and most of all for giving us eternal life through our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for all that I am and I thank You for all that I have.  I thank You Father that You have given me eternal life through my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns forever.  Amen.

Seek God with all your heart!

God tells us that if we keep His commands and seek Him with all our hearts , we will be blessed!

Keeping God's commands are not difficult if we keep a close relationship with God.  We do not want to sin if we are walking hand in hand with God. 

Let us make a real effort this year to spend more time with God.  Let us talk to Him constantly and read His word.  Let us invite Jesus to walk with us every day.  Our lives will take a turn for the better when we do this every single day!

Prayer:   Heavenly Father, I humbly ask that You walk with me and that You talk with me.  I ask my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, to be with me in everything I think say and do today.  I ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Let us tithe our time and spend more of it with God!

God has given us the precious gift of time.  We are told by the Psalmist to "number our days" that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

True wisdom comes when we begin to understand the heart of God.  He loves us and He wants the very best for each one of us.  He also wants us to spend time with Him and  he wants us to learn to know Him and to spread His word.

Let us each make a concerted effort this year to spend a whole lot more time with God.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You today for the precious gift of time.  I ask Father humbly that You show me how to use my time wisely and show me where I can spend more time with You. Show me how to spread Your word. 

I ask this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

A new creation!

God has made a new covenant with us.  No longer do we need to offer sacrifices to atone for our sins.  No longer do we need to die because of our sins.  We have been made anew in and through the blood of Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!  When we repent and ask God to forgive us, and truly believe that He has forgiven us,  we know that we can have eternal life with Him!

Let us go out and know that because God loves each one of us, we are made anew!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, today I ask that You forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  I pray Father earnestly that make me a new person today.  I humbly ask this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Gather together!

Jesus has promised us that where two or more gather together in His name, He will be there in their midst.  He told us this in Matthew 18 verse 20.  

God is always listening to us, whenever we pray.  However we are promised that when two people or more pray together Jesus is always there in their midst with them.  Jesus is our Saviour and this is a powerful tool to use when we want to make sure that Jesus is going to intercede for us with God to get our prayers heard!

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Son Jesus, and that He can be with us when we pray together.  Father I ask that when we gather in Your Name,  that we always know that Jesus will always be there with us and that we feel Your Holy presence.  

I thank You for this wonderful gift of Your immense grace.  I pray all of this in the name of my Almighty Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

I can do all things through God!

God is our refuge and our strength.  Paul's letter to the Philippians tells us that through our belief in God and His Son Jesus Christ, we can do all things!  When we truly believe this, all things are possible.  

Today let us begin knowing that our belief in Jesus Christ gives us the strength to do anything in the name of Jesus Christ.  What a GRACIOUS God we serve!

Prayer:  Heavenly Gracious Father, today I humbly ask that You give me strength to do anything in Your Holy Name.  I pray that You will guide me in Your ways and where You want me to go.  I pray all this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

God examines the heart of each person!

God is love!  God wants a relationship with each one of us.  He gives us free will to do as we please and He is never intrusive.  However, He is always there for each one of us.  He rewards us according to our deeds. 

This is a powerful thought to meditate on today.  Let us give back to God love for His enormous grace and kindness.  Each one of us today needs to go out and do something good for God.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are gracious and kind and that You love me.  I pray  that today I can do good for someone else that You love. I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

God is my refuge and my strength!

God promises us that if we trust in Him He is our refuge and and our strength.  He is able to do immeasurably more than we are even able to contemplate.  He is our creator and indeed the creator of the universe.  He calls the stars by name and He is able to do anything we ask.

Today let us dwell on what we want to do in this new year and ask God to be there for us every step of the way.  Let us not do anything without first taking it to God in prayer.  He is faithful and He will always give us an answer if we are faithful to Him and if we listen for His voice.

Prayer: Heavenly Father God, my refuge and my strength, I humbly ask Father that you guide me through this coming year.  I pray that You will hear my prayers and give me Your guidance in everything I do.  I pray Father that You show me the way and that you send Jesus to be my Light and that The Holy Spirit comes to live in me.  I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

God my Rock!

God promises us that He will never remove His covenant of peace from us.  His covenant of peace with us was bought and paid for by the shedding of the blood of His Son Jesus in order that we may be saved and have eternal life with Him in Heaven.  

Today let us be mindful that we are very precious to God and to Jesus.  Let us invite the Holy Spirit, the Mighty Counselor,  promised to us by Jesus to come and live in each one of us.  Let us pray that God continues to give us His grace.

Prayer: Gracious Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your covenant of peace with us.  I thank You for the life of Your Son Jesus here on earth.  I thank You that You chose to give me my life.  I pray that everything  I do today will give You all the glory.  I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour.  Amen.

Never will I leave you or forsake you!

God is giving us a very clear instruction here as we enter in 2018.  When we start this year, let us be thankful for what we have and not aspire to worldly things.  These worldly things will pass, but our eternal life with God is our future.

Let us in 2018 make it our business to attend to enhancing our spiritual walk with God.  Let us resolve to spend more time reading the Bible and more time in prayer.  Let us set aside more time each day to talk to God and to listen for His word.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray today that as I go forward in 2018, You will be with me and that as you have promised You will never leave me and You will never forsake me.   I pray that You will bless me with Your word and with Your Grace.  I ask that you give me opportunity to grow in You and walk closer with You.  I pray all this in the powerful name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

We are children of God!

We are all children of a living God.  A God who loves us and tells us in so many ways that He loves and shows us in so many ways that He loves us.

Every time you look up into the sky and see the stars or watch a sunrise or a sunset, God is shouting out His love for us.  He sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins.  We are made new in the love and blood shed for us.  We are indeed children of Loving, Living God.

How privileged we are to be called Children of God!

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, I thank You today that I am indeed a Child of Yours.  I thank You that You love me and that You created me and that I can serve You here on earth.  This 2018 show me Father where and how I can send my love back to You.  I pray this in Jesus' name.  Amen.
