Let us always hate what is evil. Let us only strive to cling to the good in our lives. When people tempt us with things that we know to be evil let us gently turn away from this and let us rather bring light and love in.
It is so easy to follow the evil traditions of this world, not to question the motives or the reasons for some festivals or celebrations. However, when we start to analyse them, we find that they are steeped in evil history. GOD does not want us to be a part of the dark, rather, HE sent HIS Son who is light to save us.
Therefore start to question why we are asked to celebrate certain things. Let us find out how these traditions started and why they are carried on. They may appear harmless but they are the work of the evil one on earth, and we are perpetuating them by celebrating them each year.
Today let us repent of these habits and let us with sincere hearts ask GOD to show us the light and to take us out of the dark.
Prayer: Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU sent Jesus Christ to save me. Show me what is evil FATHER so that I may not follow anything or celebrate anything which is evil. Rather, FATHER, bring me into YOUR light. I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
