The Lord is my Shepherd!

 When Jesus came to earth, He used the analogy of a Shepherd who knew his sheep by name.  And I know that GOD knows each one of us by name.  More than that, our FATHER knows us now, He knows us in the future and He knew us before we were born.

We are HIS creation.  And we are made in HIS image.  And that is why this Psalm resonates with me.  

GOD restores our souls.  When the world lets us down or seems to be to much to bear, we can turn to GOD and Jesus and ask them to fill us with their Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit gives us the strength to carry on.

And when the Psalmist wrote that indeed, should we walk through the valley of death, the rod and the staff of our Shepherd, Jesus Christ, will comfort us.  For if we are lost, we can be found by Jesus.  If we are hungry, we can be fed by Jesus, if we are thirsty, our thirst can be quenched by Jesus.  

And the Psalmist ends off with the words, that surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives if we dwell in the House of the Lord for ever.

Prayer:  Dearest FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU sent my Shepherd Jesus Christ to this earth to save me from my sins.  I thank YOU FATHER that I can always find comfort from my Lord and my Saviour, Jesus Christ.  I thank YOU that YOU fill me with the Holy Spirit when I am empty.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Prophecy Fullfilled!

                                          The Foretelling of the suffering of Jesus Christ! 

My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, And from the words of My groaning? 2 O My God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not hear; And in the night season, and am not silent. 3 But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel. 4 Our fathers trusted in You; They trusted, and You delivered them. 5 They cried to You, and were delivered; They trusted in You, and were not ashamed. 6 But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised by the people. 7 All those who see Me ridicule Me; They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, 8 "He trusted in the Lord, let Him rescue Him; Let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!" 9 But You are He who took Me out of the womb; You made Me trust while on My mother's breasts. 10 I was cast upon You from birth. From My mother's womb You have been My God.

All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him, And fear Him, all you offspring of Israel! 24 For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from Him; But when He cried to Him, He heard. 25 My praise shall be of You in the great assembly; I will pay My vows before those who fear Him. 26 The poor shall eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him will praise the Lord. Let your heart live forever! 27 All the ends of the world Shall remember and turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations Shall worship before You. 28 For the kingdom is the Lord's, And He rules over the nations. 29 All the prosperous of the earth Shall eat and worship; All those who go down to the dust Shall bow before Him, Even he who cannot keep himself alive. 30 A posterity shall serve Him. It will be recounted of the Lord to the next generation, 31 They will come and declare His righteousness to a people who will be born, That He has done this.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that the Bible is YOUR inerrant, Spirit filled word.  I thank YOU that through YOUR word, people can learn about our Lord and our Saviour, Jesus Christ.  And that YOU planned our Salvation, long long ago.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus our Mediator

 Jesus died to set us free.  Free from sins that we have committed.  Sins that we will commit.  GOD knows that we are frail and that we are sinful in nature.  How often do we sin?

More than you might think.  Getting impatient with people is sinful.  Cursing at people behaving badly in the traffic is sinful.  Not being kind and gentle to people is sinful.

Selfishness is sinful.  Not giving when we are asked is sinful.  Disrespecting authority is sinful.  And mostly not worshipping GOD or praising HIS grace enough is sinful.

And that is why Jesus says that all have fallen short of the glory of GOD.  There is not one righteous amongst us.  Not one.

The only thing that can save us from an eternity spent in hell, is the grace of GOD through the death of Jesus on the cross.  That is all.  Jesus is the ONLY way.  Jesus is the ONLY truth.  And Jesus is the ONLY eternal life with GOD.

Unfortunately, "good" people who will not accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, will not be saved.  No, I did not say this.  Jesus said it. 

The gate is narrow and only a few will enter in.  

Today, choose the narrow gate.  Admit that we are sinners.  Believe in Jesus Christ as our Redeemer.  Confess this truth with our mouths.  Be saved!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU that I believe that Jesus died to set me free.  Thank  YOU that I can admit to YOU that I am a sinner and that YOU will forgive me.  I thank YOU in Jesus Holy Name.  Amen.

The Heavens declare the glory of GOD!

The weather is turning really cold and it is blowing up outside as I write this blog tonight.  But a quick look outside at the darkening sky with the stars bringing forth the Glory of GOD remind me of the greatness of the GOD we serve.

Our FATHER is the CREATOR GOD.  HE created the entire universe.  And HE reigns supreme.  We are but a blink and a dot on the face of a really small earth in the huge expanse of our universe.

So why did GOD create an universe?  And the simple answer is - because HE could.  And it is true when we consider the universe that the Heavens declare the Glory of our GOD.

And the Grace of GOD declares HIS enormous love for you and me.  That GOD should take HIS Son out of the Heavens where they reign to bring Him to this earth in human form as a baby and let Him grow up, sinless for you and me.  To redeem our sins - past, present and future - on that cross.  That is Love indeed.

We are unable to fathom the magnitude of the CREATOR GOD we worship.  Because next to GOD we are truly tiny and should not be important at all.  And yet our FATHER numbers the very hairs on our heads.  That is how much HE cares for you and me.

Tonight let us consider how gracious our GREAT and AWESOME FATHER in Heaven truly is.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, tonight I wonder at YOUR grace and YOUR love for me that I should be able to spend eternity with YOU through the redemption of my sins by Jesus Christ.  I worship YOU and I thank YOU FATHER, in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Pre Tribulation Rapture

I believe in the pretribulation Rapture.  The coming in the clouds of Jesus Christ to fetch home His bride, the Church - the believers.  And above are the verses in the Bible which tell us of and confirm this event.

What do we need to do in order to be raptured?  We need to admit that we are sinners.  That we are saved only  by Grace (of GOD) and only through Faith (in Jesus Christ).

By the Grace of GOD, HE sent HIS Son Jesus Christ to earth.  Jesus was born of virgin mother so that He was not carrying on the sinful line of Adam.  Jesus never sinned on earth.  So as a blemish free lamb, He was led to the slaughter.  He was nailed to that cross with your sins and my sins.  

We need to believe that Jesus is the Son of GOD who did all of this for you and me to save us from our sins.

We are born sinful.  And unless we accept that fact, we simply cannot be saved.  If we believe that are good enough to get to GOD without admitting that we are sinners, we, unfortunately are not going to Heaven and we cannot be raptured.

So, first things first.  Admit that we are all sinners.  No one is "better" than another.  We are all sinners.  Then believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of GOD and that He is the ONLY way to GOD.  Without a belief in Jesus, we are not going to Heaven.  

Then confess this with our mouths.  For as Romans 10 put it "9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I am a sinner.  Forgive my sins and grant me YOUR grace.  I believe in Jesus Christ as my Redeemer.  I confess this with my mouth.  Please fill me with YOUR Holy Spirit.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

We are GODs handiwork!

 GOD created us in HIS image.  And HE created us to do good works, which HE prepared in advance of our creation for us to do.

So when we start pondering what our purpose on earth is, we need to revert to this verse and truly understand what we are doing on this earth.

Our FATHER made nothing that is not perfect.  So it follows therefore, that we are exactly what our FATHER in Heaven wanted us to be.  We are born to the parents HE chose for us.  We are given the name that HE chose for us.  We are given the works to do on earth that HE has chosen for us to do.

Now we do have free will and we can do anything we please.  But is that what our FATHER wants for us?  And the answer is simply - NO!

So how do we know what our FATHER wants us to do.  We need to know GOD.  We need a living relationship with HIM where HE can share with us HIS master plan.  And then we need to let go of our own free will and take all our plans and give them to GOD.  Before we do anything we need to pray about it.  We need to ask GOD if this is what HIS will is for our lives.

Most of all, we need to listen to HIS voice which we will come to know the more time we spend with our Heavenly FATHER.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER,  I thank YOU that I have free will.  However FATHER, THY will and not my will be done in life.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

False Prophets!

 We need to be very careful in how we deal with issues such as which people we choose to lead us in our Christian walk.

There are so many false prophets today.  Preachers who are money orientated.  Preachers who do not really know GOD.  Preachers who teach falsehoods.

The test of a true preacher is one who teaches straight of our the Bible.  This preacher does not use Hermeneutics - his own interpretation of the Bible.

This is where a lot of people who are claiming to be Christian, are falling down.  They go to Church and believe that everything the preacher is teaching is correct.  Test what your preacher is telling you.

Is it Biblical?

Can you substantiate it yourself in the Bible?

Does your teacher promote a prosperity gospel - if you give you will get?

Just the three questions above will tell you if you are in the right Church. If you are not taught 

then you are in the wrong Church.

• repentance, 
• belief in Jesus, 
• the miracles of Jesus, 
• the grace of GOD, 
• the fact that we are saved through grace alone, 
• by faith alone, 

When you are new to Christianity it is particularly important that find a teacher or a preacher who can tell you about your salvation.  Find someone who knows the word of GOD, someone who demonstrates through his lifestyle that he loves the Lord our GOD with all his heart, with all his soul and with all his strength.

See that you are taught about the greatness of GOD, the mercy of GOD, the love of GOD and most of all the grace of GOD.

We are saved only by the Grace of GOD through our faith in Jesus Christ.  There is no other way to an eternal life with GOD through Jesus Christ alone.

Good deeds are not getting us into Heaven.  

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, today I thank you that I am saved through YOUR grace and my faith in Jesus Christ alone.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

 Jesus said that if anyone loves Him, they would obey His teaching.  And if anyone loves Jesus GOD will love that person.  And furthermore, Jesus said that He and His FATHER would come to the person and make their home with them.

What a marvellous promise we have.  When we accept Jesus and love Him, He and His FATHER come and live in you and me.

When we love someone, we want to spend time with them.  Not just time, but quality time.  We want to know what they are thinking.  We are interested in them and their lives.

This is why, if we really love Jesus, we will want to spend time with Him.  We will want to know Him more and more.  We will want to talk to Him and we will want to involve Him in every aspect of our lives.

Let us examine our lives.  Do we really love Jesus?   How much time are we spending each day with Him.  How much do we know Him?  Do we tell Him everything about our lives?

If the answer to the above questions are resonating with you and you are spending quality time with Jesus and involving Him in all aspects of your life, then Jesus and His FATHER are living with you.  If not, then it is time to get to know Jesus.

Start by daily reading the word.  Pray before you eat.  Pray in the morning.  Pray in the evening.  And you will feel the love of our gracious GOD growing daily within yourself.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I am so glad that I know YOU and I love YOU.  Show me daily how to know YOU more and to love YOU more.  Show me how to shine YOUR light on earth today.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The more we trust in GOD!

 Paul writes that he hopes that the GOD of hope will fill the disciples with all the joy and peace as they trust in GOD.

And this is true even today.  The more we learn to trust in GOD and to know Jesus, the greater will be our joy and peace.  When we know that GOD is always there, always listening, always with us, we learn to trust HIM more and more.

Knowing GOD is one of the greatest joys of my life.  I know that no matter what GOD is greater than any problem I am facing. I know that GOD is stronger than any person on earth.  I know that GOD can do anything.  And I mean anything.  Because HE created you and me. 

With that knowledge, we need to overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit which lives in you and me when we accept Jesus Christ as our Redeemer.

If you have not accepted Jesus, I would urge you to do this today.  Do not tarry. We are not sure when Jesus will come back to fetch us.  It might be tonight!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are greater than the greatest of any of our problems here on earth.  I thank YOU that YOU fill me daily with YOUR Holy Spirit.  I thank YOU that the Holy Spirit fills me with hope and joy.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Redeemer.  Amen.

The Holy Spirit

 Jesus promised His disciples that when He departed from this earth, His FATHER would send the Holy Spirit in the Name of Jesus Christ who would teach the disciples all things and would remind them of Jesus and all that He had told them.

And when we admit that we are sinners - repent, turn towards Jesus - believe in Jesus and confess this with our mouths, GOD sends the Holy Spirit in the Name of Jesus Christ to live in us.

The Holy Spirit convicts us to change our hearts and minds to live for Jesus.  No longer can we live as we lived before.  We need to see change in our lives.

No longer can we blaspheme.  No longer can we gossip.  No longer can we covert.  No longer can we be unforgiving.  Because the Holy Spirit tells us to be more and more like Jesus each and every day.

If we profess to be filled with the Holy Spirit and there is no noticeable difference in our behaviour and we continue to conform to the ways of the world, we simply do not have faith.  Our belief is dead and our faith is dead.

We can measure the work of the Holy Spirit by our changing lives.  We become avid speakers for GOD and for Jesus.  We want to spread the good news.  Other people notice that we are becoming more faithful in our walk with the Lord.  

So let us examine ourselves today.  Are we growing in our faith?  Are we wanting to spend more time in prayer with our FATHER in Heaven.  Do we get distressed by blasphemy and bad behaviour?

Then indeed, we are growing in our faith.  So let us today ask GOD to continually fill us with the Holy Spirit in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ - our Lord and our Saviour.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I humbly admit that I am a sinner.  FATHER forgive me as I forgive those who sin against me.  FATHER I believe in Jesus Christ, my Redeemer.  I confess this truth with my mouth.  Tonight, FATHER, fill me up with the Holy Spirit in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Teach me Jesus to be a better person and to be a better Christian.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Rapture!

 I believe in the pretribulation rapture.  And I believe that we are living in the end of times.  The signs are everywhere.  Now, whether this will happen in my life, I simply cannot say, because only GOD knows the day I will die.

What I do know is that this earth is slowly dying.  And not just the earth, but people are decaying.  Morally and in their faith.

We have preachers who are purely in it for the money.  There is all kinds of false beliefs doing the rounds and people are treating this as if it were the only truth.

The one thing I do know is that Jesus is the only Truth.  Jesus is the only Life and Jesus is the only Way.

And if you want to be with Jesus then you have to know Jesus.  You have to know what He did for you and for me.  You have to believe that Jesus is GOD.  That He added humanity to His deity.  That He came to earth, lived on the earth.  Was tempted by satan himself and did not succumb.  He was tortured for our sins.  He was nailed to a cross for the sins you and I have committed and will commit.  He died for you and for me.  To take away the sins of the world.

And the way to Jesus is through the grace of GOD.  If you will admit that you are sinner. (We are all sinners. Not one is righteous).  If you will believe in Jesus and if you will confess this truth with your mouth, tonight if the Rapture takes place, you are going to meet Jesus in the clouds.  I urge you not to tarry.  For it could happen tonight.  And when it happens, if you are left behind, you are going through the tribulation.  It is that simple.

Prayer:  HEAVENLY FATHER, YOU alone know the time of the Rapture.  But FATHER I pray tonight that all reading this will accept the simple truth that Jesus is the only way to YOU.  I humbly pray that any and all reading this, will come to this acceptance now.  I pray this in Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Walk in the Light!

 Jesus is truly the light of world.  He shines a path and all we need to do is to reach out to Him.  Take His hand and walk with Him to be in His light and His glory.

There is nothing that we can do to be saved through our own efforts.  No good works, no good things.  The only way to be saved is through the Light of the world.

Jesus is the Way.  Jesus is the Truth and Jesus is the Life.

Whosoever believes in Him, will not perish but will have eternal life In Heaven.  When we accept the Redemption brought about by Jesus on that cross, we are saved.  When we admit that we are sinners but that Jesus died to save us and took our sins onto that cross.  We are saved.  When we confess this truth with our mouths, we are saved.

Be saved today.  Through the Grace of GOD alone.  Through Jesus only. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I can walk in the Light of Jesus Christ.  I thank YOU that I am saved through YOUR grace.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Teach me YOUR ways O LORD!

 If we ask GOD, the Bible tells us we shall receive.  And that is so true if we ask GOD to teach us HIS ways.

This means we need to stop doing things our way, and humbly ask GOD to show us HIS way.

We will know if the path we take is in line with the will of GOD because HIS ways are perfect.  Our ways are troublesome and HIS ways are perfect.

The problem with this is that we seldom ask GOD to teach us.  And if we do, we are then not willing to be shown.

So we need to get in line with the ways of our FATHER in Heaven.  We do that by daily reading HIS word.  By praying about everything - before we do it - and waiting on the LORD to show us HIS way.

It is no use praying and not waiting for GOD.  Because when we rush into things, they are never in line with what our FATHER wants for us.  So we need to start praying and then waiting for GOD to show us what HE wants for us.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, today show me YOUR ways.  Teach me the ways YOU want for my life FATHER.  THY will and not my will be done in my life.  This I pray in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD before us!

 I shall not be moved!  Can we truly say this?  Our LORD needs to be set before us if we are not to be moved!

If GOD is at our right hand, then HE is in the right place to be everything to us.  We need to put GOD first, GOD last and everything in between needs to be about GOD.

Our lives need to start with GOD and end with GOD.  Our days need to start with GOD and end with GOD.  Our will should be given to GOD so that HIS will can be done and not our own.

That is the perfect order that will be created if we make GOD a part of everything in our lives.

Today resolve to give all of ourselves over to our FATHER in Heaven for HIM to do with as HE pleases.  Let it be HIS will rather than our will.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are my FATHER.  FATHER I give my will to YOU and ask YOU that THY will be done on earth and through me.  FATHER use me to spread YOUR word and to give people the message that YOUR grace is sufficient.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Believe in GOD and miracles abound!

 Jesus spoke to the waves and they calmed.  And Jesus told us that if we have faith as small as a mustard seed, we could move mountains.

I have so many personal miracles that I can recount.  But the one thing which is true is that if you do things to the Glory of GOD, then miracles happen.

If you do things to obtain glory for yourself, nothing will happen.  So often I have called upon GOD and HE has graciously answered me.  Every single time, it has not been for myself but for others.  And each and every time, my FATHER has answered me.

Today, I would encourage you to look for the miracles of your life.  They are there.  Many many miracles and all you have to do is look and see how many times GOD has intervened to bring about a better outcome than you could ever have hoped for.

Prayer:  EL SHADDAI, ABBA FATHER, I cry out to YOU tonight and ask that YOU show me YOUR will on earth.  YOUR will be done and not mine.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Do not be conformed!

 There is a very real danger that we as children of GOD face daily.  And that is that  there is a strong world wide element who want to create a one world order.  The reasons for this are many but the main motivation is always based upon greed and power.

People who desire to rule the world are usually not motivated by altruism.  Their hidden agendas are always greed or power or both.  And greed and power are motivated by satan.

GOD is the only power that we, as Christians should worship.  GOD is the only thing that we should ever bow our knees to.  

The way to avoid being conformed to the things of this world is to spend time with our FATHER.  We need to renew our minds daily.  We need to spend time in prayer and worship of our FATHER in Heaven.

Do not be deceived! Know GOD.  Ask GOD to fill you with HIS Holy Spirit daily.  Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.  Then you will know the good and pleasing will of our FATHER in Heaven.  The more you know GOD, the dimmer the things of this earth will become and the greater will become the focus on our lives after we depart from this earth.

Prayer:  El Shaddai, FATHER, we know that their are very real dangers lurking on earth who would have serve them rather than YOU.  FATHER protect us today from these things of this earth.  Guide us to know YOU more.  We pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Not all will enter in!

 Jesus said that the road to destruction of our souls is wide and the gate to go through is also wide.

Narrow is the gate that leads to Heaven.

Why is this?

It is so important to know GOD and to understand fully HIS grace and HIS ways.  GOD wants all of us to enter into HIS gates.  But how should we do so?  With praise and with thanksgiving.

We are ALL sinners. Each one of us has fallen way short of the Glory of our FATHER.  HE gave each one of us freewill.  Freewill to do as we like.

Included in that freewill is the choice.  Heaven or Hell.  And most are choosing hell by refusing to accept the fact that we are all sinners.

We need to understand GOD.  The way to do that is through daily reading of HIS word.  Through prayer and through asking GOD to fill us daily with HIS Holy Spirit who can give us understanding.

This sounds so repetitive.  But it is a point that needs to be belaboured.  We need to get to the point that we surrender our lives and our freewill to that of GOD.  To do HIS goodwill and to accept HIS grace,

Let us go back to the ABC s of Christianity.

Admit that we are sinners.

Believe in Jesus Christ as our Redeemer and He is the only way to get to GOD.

Confess this truth with our mouths.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER I thank YOU that I can accept YOUR grace.  I know that I am a sinner.  Forgive me FATHER as I forgive those who sin against me.  I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and my Saviour.  I confess this truth with my mouth today.  I pray all of this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

All have sinned!

 It is always interesting to ask people if they think that they are saved and are going to Heaven.

Most people will answer yes.  And actually when you question them, they will say, "I am a good person - I go to Church, I read my Bible, I give to the poor".

And actually, that is exactly what the Bible says that we are not going to Heaven if we believe that we are good.

For Paul in Romans tells us unequivocally that we are not good.  For we are all sinner and we have all fallen short of the Glory of GOD.

And it is no use comparing ourselves to robbers and murderers and thieves and liars and thinking that we are better.  Because we are not.  For all have sinned.  It is that simple.

So if we deceive ourselves into thinking that we are good, we are denying what GOD did for us in sending Jesus to die on a cross for us.  It is throwing the grace of GOD back at GOD.

Therefore we have to accept the immutable fact that we are sinners and we need to repent and to ask GOD to forgive us and then to believe that Jesus came to save us from our sin and then we need to confess this truth with our mouths.

Then we are saved.  And only then.  So today, let us confess to our FATHER in Heaven that we are sinners.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I confess that I am a sinner.  I believe in Jesus Christ as my only Redeemer, the only way to YOU.  I call on the name of Jesus Christ to save me from my sins.  I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Growing in Faith!

 The verse is so beautifully written that it can only truly be GOD inspired.  Faith being the confidence in what we hope for and the assurance about what we do not see.

We can grow our faith.  Through learning to know the will of our FATHER in Heaven we grow our faith.

Through daily scripture readings, through interactions with other like minded Christians.  And through prayer.

And that growth of our faith gives us the confidence of what we hope for.  What do we hope for?

We hope that one day, we are going to live with GOD in Heaven.  But when our faith is truly strong, we no longer hope for this - we know that we are saved.  And that is exactly what the verse above is saying.

We need to have enough faith to know that everything we know about our FATHER, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is absolutely true, inerrant and infallible. 

Jesus was sent to earth, to live on earth as a man, to be tempted and to resist temptation;.  Jesus died on a cross for us to be saved from our sin.  Jesus conquered death so that we can have eternal life.  And Jesus is the ONLY way to get to GOD.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for my faith.  I thank YOU that I no longer hope, but trust completely that through Jesus Christ, I will be saved from an eternity spent in hell.  I know that i am a sinner and only by YOUR grace and my faith in Jesus can I be saved.  And I thank YOU for my faith.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Belief!

 Do we really believe?  Jesus said that if we had faith as small as a mustard seed, we could move mountains into the sea.

And what our FATHER in Heaven expects from us is that we truly believe.  And that applies to all aspects of our faith.

So how do we get to truly believe?  Well we need to know GOD and we need to know Jesus and we need to know the Holy Spirit.

That is the beginning of faith.  And then we need to trust the faith that we have.  And that is often the hardest part of our belief.  Trusting in our faith.

The question that Jesus posed to His disciples and to the people whom He was going to heal, was "Do you believe that I am able to do this?"  and when they replied "Yes Lord".  He touched their eyes and they were healed according to their faith.

And that is the key here.  They were healed according to their faith.

We can grow our faith each and every day.   The way we do that is to get to know GOD.  By reading HIS word daily.  Through prayer - daily.  And by taking every aspect of our lives to our FATHER in Heaven.

Try it today and watch your faith grow!

All things are from GOD!

 All things are from GOD.  We are made by GOD.  And there is only one Jesus and one Holy Spirit.

Through Jesus, the world and the whole universe were spoken into existence.  We know this from John verse 1.

And Jesus tells us that He is the Life, He is the Truth and He is the way.  The way to our FATHER in Heaven.

Today, accept this truth and accept Jesus.  Accept that we are all made in the image of GOD and without GOD nothing was made and with GOD everything was made.

GOD was in the beginning.  And GOD will be in the end.  GOD is in the middle of everything and without HIM there is nothing and there was nothing.

This is the mystery which Jesus Christ came to earth and died for.  To make us aware that we can have salvation through Jesus.  And all we have to do is admit that we are sinners and that our sins were nails that kept Jesus on the cross until He gave us His life for us so that we might have eternal life.

Confess this Truth tonight and believe in Jesus Christ, the Redeemer.

Jesus is the head of the household!

The head of every family should be Jesus.  This is the way GOD designed the family unit.  At the top of the family is Jesus.  then Jesus, then the husband, then the wife and finally the children.

This is the perfect order of our FATHER.  Our FATHER is a Triune GOD.  GOD the FATHER, GOD the Son and GOD the Holy Spirit.  A perfect trinity.

A lot of people will disagree with this.  However, as a child of GOD, I know that this creates unity and harmony.

When we are in the Spirit with our FATHER, we know that order is what HE created.  There is absolutely nothing random or in disarray in the world, in the Universe in the amount of oxygen we need or the food that HE created for us.  Everything is in perfect harmony.  The only disharmony is created by satan and by us.

We are good at creating chaos.

So, old fashioned and controversial as it is today, I wholly advocate that Jesus is the head of the home, followed by the husband and then the wife and then the children.  This leads to create a Christ centered home.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I hope and pray that all reading this today can agree that YOUR way is perfect and that the order which YOU have created is perfect.   I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Women in Christ!

Tonight as we come to the close of women's day, I would like to celebrate the women in the Bible. 

The Bible is full of women of strength of character and integrity.

Going back to the old Testament, we look at Ruth the Moabite woman who refused to leave her mother in Law.  To Esther who became a queen and saved the Israelites.  

Mary, the mother of Jesus and Elizabeth  the mother of John the Baptist.

These are truly women whom we can look up to.  So today I salute the women of this world.  But I would humbly ask that we remain kind and gentle and dignified.  I would ask that we guide our children to our FATHER in Heaven.  I would ask that we create loving Christ based homes for our families to cherish. I would ask that we guide our families to prayer and to daily reading the Word. 

I would ask that we are respectful to our husbands and that we make Jesus an integral  daily part of our lives.  For without GOD we are nothing.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for my life.  I thank YOU that I am a women, a wife mother, a daughter, a grandmother, a sister and a friend.  I thank YOU for my family and my friends. I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Confess the name of Jesus!

 The name of Jesus is above all names on earth.  The truth is that no one, not even one will get to GOD without Jesus.  If we do not accept Jesus, we are not going to Heaven.  There are no exceptions.

Jesus said that He is the way He is the truth and He is the life.  And He said that no one will get to the FATHER except through the Son.

And if we deny Jesus on earth, He will deny us in Heaven.

Today tell someone about Jesus.  

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER I thank YOU for Jesus.  Jesus is my Saviour, my Lord and my Redeemer.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus.  Amen.

A new creation in Christ!

 Once we admit that we are sinners, believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour - our Redeemer, and confess this truth with our mouths, we are filled with the Holy Spirit.  We are washed with the Holy Spirit.  We are free from the burden of our pasts by the acceptance of Jesus through the grace of our FATHER.

But when this happens, there are visible changes.  Our lives change. And if they do not, then we have not been filled with the Holy Spirit.  Then we need to go through the process again.  Getting to know what GOD wants and expects from us.

A repentant heart leads to a change of life patterns.  The things we used to do, bad language, slander, etc pass away.  We want to live in a way which pleases our FATHER in Heaven.

These changes will be noticed by our friends.  And indeed we may even lose certain of our friends who we now find offensive.  And whom we try to persuade to change.

This is a process which is evident in the way we conduct our lives.

And that is what Paul is talking about in the verse above.  "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.   Old things are passed away".

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER tonight I call on YOU to work in my life.  So that I may grow into the new creature that I ought to be.  More like Jesus and less like my old self.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The LORD makes each day!

 Each and every day is from the LORD.  Without the LORD there would not be days, weeks or months.

Our FATHER created the heavens, the earth and everything in it.  HE gave us day and night.  Day so that we could work and night so that we could rest.

We need to remember this and know, as children of GOD that our days are numbered by GOD. And each day, good or bad, is given to us by GOD. So we need to use our days wisely and in honour and to the glory of our FATHER.

If we are given a chance to spread the good news.  We need to take it.  If we are blessed with a conversation about our FATHER, we need to appreciate and savour it.

When we can worship together, pray together or just talk about the miracles of our lives, we need to know that this is our purpose on earth.

So tomorrow, when we wake up, let us dedicate the day to GOD and let us get into the habit of doing this.each and every day..

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for the days YOU have given me on earth.  Please FATHER show me how to use them to YOUR glory and how to spread the good news each and every day.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Preach the good news!

 When we call on the name Jesus Christ, we are saved.  This comes about when we admit that we are sinners.  When we believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to GOD and when we confess this truth with our mouths.

So that is what Paul is telling us here.  And we are so blessed and honoured to know Jesus.  We need to tell everyone that they too can be relieved of the burden of their sin.

They can do this as well.  And they will be saved from a life of eternity spent in hell.

And that is the purpose of every saved person.  To tell someone about Jesus.  If we deny telling people that they too can be saved, we deny the very existence of our faith.  Our faith is useless without using it.

So today tell someone that Jesus loves them.  Just do it.  It is what GOD wants and what GOD expects of each one of us that knows HIM!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I know YOU and Jesus and that I have the Holy Spirit living in me.  FATHER today give me people to tell that YOU love them.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD will direct our paths!

 When we truly know GOD we can truly rely on GOD for everything.  The faith that comes through knowing our FATHER brings over us a peace.  When that peace finally settles on us, we can lean back in our FATHER's arms and know that HE will direct our paths.

So how do we get to know GOD and to trust HIM.  That is done through a habitual reading of HIS word.  This needs to be a daily habit.  Preferably starting our day by reading the word of our FATHER will result in a far greater knowledge of what GOD has done for us.

What GOD has done for us is so overwhelming.  HE is our CREATOR.  HE created the universe , our earth, gave us light by day and light by night.  HE created food for us to live on, land to build on and then finally, HE sent HIS only Son to take away our sins.

The second thing we can do to really know GOD is to pray.  Pray to GOD about everything.  When we are happy.  Thank GOD.  When we are sad, tell GOD.  When we are worried talk to GOD.  When we need help, ask GOD.

Gradually we learn that our FATHER in trustworthy and HE is always there for us.  In good times and bad times, GOD is with us.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I can lean on YOU.  Direct my paths to THY will.  I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and my Saviour.  Amen.

Do not live in the past!

 We are living in very fluid times.  The world is changing. The country we are living in is changing.  And if we are children of GOD, we are changing.  We cannot stay the same.  The more we know GOD, the closer we get to GOD, the more change will take place in our lives.

And that is where this verse above comes in.  We are also forgiven of our sins through our belief in Jesus Christ.  Through our admission that we are sinners and through confessing this with our mouths.

Therefore the burdens of the past should no longer haunt us.  We are now free to live the best lives for our GOD.  We are free to spread the good news.  We are free to grow in our relationship with GOD and we are free to be the light of the world.

And GOD promises us that HE is doing a new thing.  HE will make a way in the desert that we once were and HE will make streams in our lives which once were a wasteland.

So today, accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour and watch GOD do new things in our lives.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, use my life to make streams in the wasteland.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

 If we trust in GOD, put all our faith in HIS promises, GOD will keep us from evil.

All we need is faith.  Faith that our GOD is who we know HIM to be.  The CREATOR of the universe.  The giver of life to you and I.  The GOD who knows the numbers of hairs on our heads.

And knowing GOD, we need never fear anything, because our GOD is greater.  Our GOD is stronger.

We just need to look at Isreal.  They were made a promise by GOD that as long as they were faithful to HIM HE would keep them safe.

They did obey GOD for a while.  But then they went off the track and started to idol worship and worship other gods.  So GOD scattered them all over the earth.

However, remembering the promise GOD made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, GOD brought Israel back and the State of Israel was reborn in one day.  

That is our FATHER who always keeps HIS promises.  Therefore, we should know that GOD will send Jesus back in the clouds to take HIS bride home and we should be ready.  The fulfilment of that promise is coming very quickly.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR faithfulness. Keep us from evil today.  Thank YOU that I know that YOUR Son is coming soon.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Trouble in this world!

 Jesus came to save the world.  He came down to earth from Heaven so that we all might have a chance to spend eternity in Heaven rather than in hell.  

But Jesus did not come to relieve us of the trials and tribulations of this world.  What we will have is peace when we trust that GOD is in charge of our lives and not ourselves.

Therefore in the verse above, we are told to take courage because Jesus overcame the world.

Jesus conquered the world because in this world we will all die.  But through our belief in Jesus Christ, we can have an eternal life with our FATHER in Heaven.

So no matter what trials and tribulations come our way, we are to place all our trust in Jesus Christ.  Our Lord, our Saviour, our Shepherd who leads the way to our FATHER In heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for my Shepherd, my Saviour, my Redeemer Jesus Christ.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
