It is always sad for all of us in the earthly world to lose a loved one, a friend, an acquaintance, or even a member of our Christian community.
But if we are believers, then we know that if the person who has passed on was a Christian, then they have not died, but have gone on to their eternal home to be with Jesus.
So today again, in our Christian community, we lost someone that we were praying for. I instantly felt the loss, but then we learned that the person was a believer and I felt better. I felt comforted knowing that one of the co-heirs with Jesus Christ had returned to his home in heaven.
With Covid being a reality of our world, we are learning of friends, family and children of GOD all getting this disease and then dying from it.
What we need to do is pray for those remaining. Comfort those remaining and see if we can just speak to them. But most of all what we need to do is to thank GOD for the lives of those who have gone on.
We need to give thanks to our FATHER in all things. But especially for the lives we have enjoyed on earth. Life is a gift.
In all things we need to give thanks.
Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for the gift of life, of love, of family and friends. I thank YOU for everything that YOU give us especially the life we have to live on earth. It is a privilege to serve YOU. I pray this all in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
