Dearest CHRIST followers 

On the 14th October our youngest daughter, Kelly,  who lives in Los Angeles suffered a massive AVM stroke.

She is married to a Pastor, Jeandre,  who broke his neck in  2015. She was his primarary caregiver.  Thankfully she was a very healthy and strong 41 year old woman. 

Our gracious FATHER in Heaven was with Kelly. Her condition required a full resuscitation in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. The bleed was massive.

Our FATHER ensured that Kelly received the finest medical care,  from the ambulance personnel, to the staff at Verdugo Hills hospital and then from Keck USC medical hospital in downtiwn Los Angeles.

These angels all helped minister to Kelly and she survived this stroke.  Within four hours Kelly was operated on and the surgeons stopped the bleed and repaired the AVM.

Kelly was critical for 3 days and all the time Our FATHER  was with her and with us all.

  Her beloved husband spent every day at her bedside. He prayed with her and spoke to her constantly. He listened to the doctors and nurses and arranged medical things necessary for her insurance etc.

Her sister Nikki from Sydney flew to LA and was there within 36 hours.  Her dad and I flew from Johannesburg and arrived 72 hours after the bleed. 

Her Los Angeles Mother, Debbie ferried us all the hospial and back daily.  Her entire family, including her California Mom and Dad and her fruends and Church family prayed for and encouraged and cheered Kelly on in her remarkable and rapid recovery.  

With her family around her and JESUS with her, surrounded by loving family and caring, kind, wonderful medical professionals, Kelly recovered and was sent out of ICU to the neurological ward on the Friday after the bleed.  On the Monday after the op Kelly was admitted to Keck Rehab where more angels administered to her. 

By the following Saturday Kelly was discharged from Keck rehab and came home 

Kelly is now resting and recovering at home where she is receiving out patient treatments to assist her with her speech, physio and OT.

She did not suffer any paralysis and is in remarkably good physical shape. She is able to walk unassisted.  She has Aphasia which may or nay nor be permanent.   Time will tell.  

However I have truly witnessed GOD s hands at work in her miraculous progress to date.
