Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who
says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only
the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”
As Christians, we are called to do the will of God. In order to do the will of God we need to
know who God is and we need to listen for His voice. We do this by reading the Bible and praying
in earnest to God.
Let us today make time to read the scriptures. Let us make a concerted effort to subscribe
to a daily devotional and then let us pray often. Take everything to God in prayer and then
listen and watch as God shows us which way He wants us to take.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, today I pray that You
show me how to live a righteous life.
Show me Your word and help me to hear Your voice. Forgive my sins as I
forgive those who sin against me and give me my daily bread. I ask this humbly in the name of my Lord and
Saviour Christ Jesus. Amen.
