Matthew 6:25-26 “Therefore
I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about
your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than
clothes?” 26. “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or
store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much
more valuable than they?”
Jesus preached this message to his disciples and
to the multitudes listening to Him. God
does not want us to be unhappy. He wants
us to learn to be content whatever our circumstances.
Jesus went on to tell the crowds that as lowly as
we are, we know how to give good gifts to our children, so how much more our
Father in Heaven will give us to each one of us.
What we need to do is learn to trust that God
knows what is best for us and that He gives to each one of us the more we trust
in Him and the more we lean on Him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray today
that I learn to trust in You and that You know what is best for me. I ask today that you show me how to be
content, knowing that You are in charge of my life and that without You, I am
nothing. I pray this in the name of the
Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Stay Blessed.
