Dear Christ followers, once we have accepted Jesus Christ as our LORD and SAVIOUR, we are children of GOD! Holy and dearly loved. We are not in of ourselves Holy, but we are made Holy through the propitiation of Jesus having been punished in the full wrath of GOD on that Cross.
Therefore, we are now required to clothe ourselves in compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Often this is not an easy thing to do immediately after acceptance of Jesus as our LORD. However, if we pray to GOD to give us these gifts, HE will do so. We will only really start to see the gifts after growing our faith.
This is why it is so important to grow our faith through daily prayer. And not once a day prayer, but prayer about everything in our lives.
We need to fellowship with other Christ followers as this helps us grow in our faith too. And daily reading of our Bibles is very important. The more we get to know GOD and to know HIS character, the more we realize how much we fall short of HIS righteousness and how much we truly need a SAVIOUR!
Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU sent Jesus to take my punishment away for my sinful life. I pray that YOU will help me to become more like Jesus each and every day. I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
