Dearest Christ followers, we cannot possibly sanctify the LORD GOD in our hearts if we have not turned away from our past sinful lives.
In order for us to be able to sanctify GOD in our hearts, we need to have hearts that have been cleaned by the blood of Jesus. Our hearts need to have been washed thoroughly.
Being a Christ follower comes with the conviction by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sins. It demands repentance of our sinful past ways. And it convicts us each and every time we sin once we have repented.
This does not mean that we are sinless, but rather that we now sin less. And we do not go back to our sinful ways. It means that we know when we are sinning. And it means that we will be instantly convicted to repent whenever we do sin.
This constant conviction by the Holy Spirit enables us to sanctify the LORD GOD in our hearts. The Holy Spirit also enables us to express the hope that lives in us that we can answer those who do not know Jesus, when asked.
Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that YOU fill me anew each and every day with YOUR Holy Spirit. Help me to sanctify YOU in my heart. Give me the words to answer anyone who asks me about Jesus with meekness and fear and thus bring glory to YOU. I humbly ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
