When we pray to Jesus, it tells the Lord GOD that we accept Jesus. Not only do we accept Jesus but we also give glory to GOD through our prayers. Jesus tells us that if we do this, He will hear our prayers so that we may glorify HIS FATHER through Him.
Therefore when we pray, we need to acknowledge Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. We need to accept that Jesus came to earth. Lived on earth as a man. Died on a cross to take our sins off our shoulders. Was buried. Rose again on the third day and then ascended in Heaven where He sits at the right Hand of GOD our FATHER.
We also need to accept that the only way to the FATHER is through the absolute faith in ALL of the the above.
Jesus has been given the charge by GOD that He will judge us. Jesus therefore tells us that when we want to pray, we need to do that through Him and He will intercede on our behalf. This prayer to Jesus glorifies the FATHER and thereby admits that we are only saved through the enormous grace of GOD.
Prayer; Dearest Heavenly FATHER please help me today. I need Your help today. I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. I accept Jesus as my Lord and my Saviour. Thank You, Lord Jesus. Amen.
