Sing praises to our LORD GOD!

 Our FATHER in Heaven is truly amazing.  And from nothing HE created everything.  We are HIS creation.  We are HIS children and HE loves us dearly.  Even though we are sinners, HE gives us HIS grace. 

Through HIS Son Jesus Christ, HE has granted us salvation.  A chance to spend eternity, forever, with HIM.

And there is nothing that GOD cannot do or create.  We can only imagine and dream what our FATHER has created.  For no one on earth has created a planet, or stars or a moon or the sun.

We cannot create life.  We can only copy.  Therefore today, let us lift up our hands and praise our FATHER in Heaven.  For HE is truly mighty and powerful and strong.  But most of all, HE is loving and forgiving.   And HE wants you and me to get to Heaven.  Take the chance today!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR enormous grace and favour.  I exalt YOU FATHER.  I praise YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Our Purpose in life!

Our FATHER in Heaven knit us together in our mother's womb.  HE alone blows the life into our nostrils.  HE determines the day we are born and the day we die.  And we do have a purpose on earth.  We just need to do the will of our FATHER at all times to know what our purpose is.

Today, tomorrow or next year, GOD may want us to do HIS will on earth to show HIS glory and we need to be ready to serve.

This is why it is so important to know our FATHER in Heaven's voice and to know what HE wants us to do.

Therefore let us resolve to do the following:

1. To know GOD intimately by reading HIS word, the Bible each and every day.

2. To pray to GOD about each and everything.  Let us leave nothing to our own will but ask GOD to show us HIS will in everything we do and everything we say.

3. To keep the company of like minded people who know and love the Lord.

4. To minister to and to teach those who do not know the Lord.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today, I humbly ask that YOU show me YOUR will and purpose for my life.  Let me always choose to do YOUR will, FATHER, rather than my will.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD our Deliverer!

 Just like the Israelites, we have been delivered from slavery to sin.  But not by Moses, but by Jesus.  GOD sent Moses to deliver the Israelites from their slavery.  And GOD sent Jesus to save us from eternal separation from HIM through our Redeemer.

There are so many similarities to the story of Moses and the story of Jesus.  The Israelites wondered about in the desert for forty years.  And Jesus was tempted in the desert for forty days.  Both Moses and Jesus were persecuted by Rulers when they were born.  And the Israelites were saved by slaughtering a lamb without blemish and painting the blood on their doorposts.

Whenever someone says to you that the Old Testament is not relevant today, just remind them that Jesus only preached on the Old Testament as the New Testament had not been written.

Our GOD is perfect.  And HIS plans are always perfect.  And all we need to do to get into GOD's plan for our lives is to accept Jesus Christ as our Saviour.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today, I thank YOU for my Redeemer Jesus Christ.  I thank YOU that I can come to YOU through Jesus Christ.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

I AM!!

 GOD said to Moses: "I AM WHO I AM!"  And that sentence is so very powerful.  In that sentence is the Omniscience of GOD, the Omnipotence and the Omnipresence.  All in one sentence.  GOD is and GOD was and GOD is to come.   GOD is not constrained by time, nor matter nor indeed anything.  For GOD created everything.

Tonight let us dwell on the awesomeness of our FATHER in Heaven.  Who is the ALPHA and who is the OMEGA.

Long after we and this world will have passed away, GOD will still exist and be the great I AM.

So let us fall down in reverence to our Mighty FATHER and worship HIM and praise HIM with all our hearts, with our strengths and with all our souls.  For HE is indeed ALMIGHTY GOD.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, how great THOU ART.  How blessed I am that I can serve YOU FATHER.  How blessed I am that I can call myself a child of YOURS.  Thank YOU FATHER for YOUR grace in sending Jesus Christ to give me the chance to spend eternity with YOU.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Moses and Jesus!

 I would like to do a comparison between Moses and Jesus.  Moses was born during a time when the Pharaoh had decreed that all boys of the Israelites were to be put to death.  So Moses's mother hid him in the bull rushes of the River Nile.

Jesus too was born during a time of persecution by the rulers and He was taken out of his birth town by Joseph and Mary.

Moses went to Egypt to take the Israelites out of slavery.  And Jesus came to take us out of slavery.

To whom are we enslaved? You may ask.  And the answer is simple.  We are slaves to sin.  Without Jesus, we have no way out of our destiny.  We have no way to get to Heaven and to eternal life with GOD.  We cannot work our way out.  We cannot earn our way out.  We cannot talk our way out.

The only way to GOD is through Jesus and this is exactly the way it was with Moses.  

Today, accept the grace of GOD and take Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.  Be saved from a life of eternal punishment.  The time draws near for the coming of Jesus to fetch us.  And if you are not a believer in Jesus Christ as the Son and Lamb of GOD, you are not going.  And it really is that simple. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I would pray tonight that anyone reading this who has not been saved, please soften their hearts to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.  FATHER, let them confess that they are sinners and let them believe in Jesus Christ as their Redeemer.  Let them call upon the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ tonight.  I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Children of GOD!

 Consider the verse above.  It is so profound that it is easy to miss the point.  GOD loves you and me so much that HE has bestowed on us the love that HE has for us by sending HIS Son to this earth to die for our sins.

When we accept the truth of the saving grace of GOD by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour, we are accepted into the family of GOD as children of GOD.

No longer are we children of our parents on earth, we belong to the family of GOD!  This is an enormous gift.  Given freely for you and me to accept or to reject.  And what do we have to do to accept this gift.

Simply put, we need to acknowledge to our FATHER that we are sinners.  We need to believe in our hearts that Jesus is our Saviour.  We need to confess this with our mouths.

So when I call myself a "child of GOD", it is not that I am greater than you.  We, who accept this truth are all equally children of GOD .  But it does mean that we cannot go on in our sinful ways.  We need to revoke our past lives.  Change our minds about sinning and then to acknowledge each and every sin that do.  

t is never going to be easy on earth not to sin.  We are going to be angry with people who do not deserve it.  We are going to be tempted to tell little "white' lies and we are going to be tempted in other ways.  But the fact that Jesus comes to live in us, means that we know when we sin and we should start to do it less and less.  And we should be greatly mortified to ourselves when we sin.  

So today, if you have never done so.  Admit that you are a sinner.  Believe in Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour of your life.  Confess this with your mouth.  

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I know that I am YOUR child and I am so grateful for YOUR grace and favour.  FATHER, forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD's perfect plans!

 GOD's plans are always far greater than anything we can ever dream up for ourselves.  Let us tonight consider the story of Joseph.  Joseph was his father's favourite son.  If he had not been, the greatest part of the plot would not have happened.

Joseph was a dreamer when he was young.  And if he had not confided the dreams to his brothers.  The next part of the story would also not have happened.

So let us take the story and look at the plan that GOD wove in this story.  Joseph dreamt that his father and his brothers would bow down to him.  And this provoked his brothers to jealousy.  

Being his father's favourite son, his father had woven for him a coat of many colours.  This identified him from far away which allowed his brothers to hatch a plan to get him out of the their lives.  They sold Joseph into slavery and he landed up in Egypt.  There, apart from a few incidents, (also part of GOD's plan), he rose to be the second most important man in Egypt after Pharaoh.  This allowed Joseph to not only save his family from starvation, but to deliver them out of Canaan and into Egypt.  Where, the, ironical thing is, in later generations, they all became slaves to the Egyptians.  

This allowed the rise of Moses who ultimately led the Israelites out of Egypt and took them back to the "promised land".

Just read this story and see the wonder of our FATHER GOD's hand in everything and every part of this story.  And be amazed.  I always am by the GREATNESS of our FATHER GOD.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, How GREAT THOU ART!  How GREAT THOW ART!  I come to YOU tonight with an attitude of gratitude for making me a part of YOUR plan on earth.  I thank YOU FATHER.  FATHER show me how to spread YOUR light on earth.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Let us worship GOD always!

 When we trust in GOD, we know that no matter what comes our way, GOD will be with us.

When Jacob was returning home from his sojourn to his uncle, Laban, along with his wives and his children, he was all to aware that he had left his homeland after a deep rift with his brother Esau.  And the reunion of the two brothers could have gone either way.  Friendly and cordial or downright enmity and war.

On that basis, Jacob was travelling in fear and trepidation.  But Jacob also "knew" GOD.  And Jacob talked to GOD.  GOD had promised to make Jacob's name as numerous as the stars.

So when Jacob met with his brother and the two brothers embraced each other, Jacob knew that GOD had forgiven him and his deceptions.  Jacob went up and made an alter to the LORD.

So it is with us.  When we have feared the worst and it has come to pass that our fears were groundless, but through it all, we have kept our faith in GOD, we need to thank GOD.  And that is something very easily forgotten.

So today, I would like us all to come before our FATHER in an attitude of gratitude.  Let us thank our FATHER in Heaven for the rain, for our families, for our friends, for our homes, for our comforts.  But most of all, let us thank GOD for giving us life and for giving us HIS grace and mercy.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, tonight I cry out to YOU.  Thank YOU FATHER.  Thank YOU for all that I am.  Thank YOU for all that I have.  Thank YOU for my family and my friends.  Thank YOU for my Church.  Thank YOU that I am able to worship YOU and read YOUR peace unhindered.  Thank YOU for everything.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD be with you!

 When we do GOD's will, GOD will always be with us.  When we sin, we separate ourselves from our Heavenly FATHER.

Let us consider this point.  When we walk with GOD, when we talk with GOD, when we put GOD first, GOD is such an integral part of our lives that we turn to HIM first.  We do not plan anything without praying to GOD.  We wait to hear HIS voice and then we wait for HIM to show us the open doors to go through towards our future.

If we are sinning and not communing with our FATHER, we cannot talk to HIM.  The simple truth is that whilst we are sinning, the Holy Spirit is telling us that what we are doing is wrong.  And just like Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, we become like naked people, because GOD knows what we are doing.  And we hide from our FATHER.

Therefore, today let us resolve to stop sinning.  Let us resolve to move closer to our FATHER and to enquire what HIS perfect plan for our lives is, rather than continuing on our sinful path.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, please forgive me for sinning today.  Show me how to commune with YOU and show me how to live in YOUR plan for my life, rather than in my own failures.  I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Great love!

 I am reading the story of Jacob and how he went to Laban to get a wife.  When he met Rachel he fell in love with her instantly and although he worked for Laban for seven years it seemed to him to be a short time.

If we go back in the story, Jacob stole his brother's birthright through false pretenses.  Now laban ensnares Jacob to work for him for seven years and then deceives Jacob by giving Leah to him as a wife.

It is strange to think about the story.  Because Jacob paid dearly for his transgressions and was kept from the love of his life, by a deception very similar to the one he carried out on his brother.

GOD is watching all that we do.  And when we sin, there are always consequences for our actions.  We also separate us from the love of GOD when we sin.  

The only way back to GOD is to admit that we are sinners.  To confess our sins and to beg our FATHER in Heaven to forgive us.  That we bring ourselves back to our FATHER in Heaven as HE removes the sins from us as far as the East is from the West.

Today, let us consider our sins and let us confess them to our FATHER and to ask HIM for HIS mercy and grace.

Prayer:  FATHER, I know that I am a sinner.  Today, I would humbly ask that YOU forgive my sins.  I thank YOU for YOUR grace and mercy.  I pray all of this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

We need to be obedient to GOD!

GOD gives us everything.  We are nothing without GOD.  GOD breathes life into every person.  That is why we need to respect our lives and what GOD has given us.  GOD has chosen our parents.  GOD has chosen our family and GOD has chosen the order in which we are born.  

That is why it is so important to value our lives.  We need to love what GOD  has given us.  We need to respect the order of our family.  And we must never neglect to show respect to GOD for what GOD has given us.

In the verse above, Esau gave away his birthright to his brother for a plate of stew!  This shows the lack of respect that Esau had for the place of birth that GOD had given him.

Later on in this chapter, Jacob stole the blessing of his brother from his father through a deception.  But in actual fact, it had already been easily given to Jacob by Esau.

Now had Esau prayed to GOD before he gave away his birthright, he would not have done so.  But in the heat of the moment, he just gave it up.  

Let us treasure the life we have on earth.  It is truly GOD given. And let us pray to GOD before we make any hasty decisions.  It could affect us really badly to act without a consultation with OUR CREATOR GOD!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for my life.  I thank YOU for the order in which I was born.  I thank YOU for my parents and for my siblings.  I thank YOU FATHER for YOUR perfect plan for my life.  FATHER, show me how to continue YOUR plan for my life.  FATEHR guide my steps to follow YOUR will for me.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

If we trust in GOD, we will hear the answers to our prayers!

 When Abraham sent his servant to fetch a wife for his son Isaac from the land of his birth, the servant who was sent, was faithful to pray to GOD about his mission.

Indeed, when the man stood at the well, he prayed to GOD.  And he asked GOD to give him a sign.  The first woman who drew water for him and for his camels, would be the one that GOD had chosen to marry Isaac. 

This is such a profound lesson.  When we pray, we need to be specific and identify exactly what we are praying for.  And if it within the will of GOD's plan, then GOD will always answer us.

Not only did GOD answer this man, but GOD also put it into Rebekah's heart that she would go with this stranger and marry a man that she had never met.

Rebekah's family wanted her to remain with them for a few days to get used to the idea that she was about to travel far and marry a stranger.  But GOD put it into her heart to go with the stranger.

When we have prayed about something, we need to leave the rest to GOD.  If it is GOD's will, GOD will lead the way and soften peoples hearts to follow the plan.  This story is truly a remarkable Bible story about the faith of strangers in GOD's plans for their lives.

The outcome of this story is even more remarkable.  Rebekah and Isaac met and were married and Isaac loved Rebekah.  From them came the nation of Israel.  Without this love and trust in the pure love of GOD, this could not have happened.

Prayer;  Heavenly FATHER, help me to offer my prayers to fit into YOUR perfect will.  May YOUR will always be done, on earth, in my life as it is in Heaven.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Abraham trusted GOD with his Son!

 When GOD told Abraham to take Isaac and sacrifice him, Abraham trusted in GOD.  After all GOD had given Isaac to Abraham and that in his very old age.  

Everything we have, is given to us by GOD.  Without GOD we would not be here.  We would not have the earth to live on nor our family nor our friends. 

How much more should we trust GOD, when HE asks nothing from us, except that we believe in HIS Son Jesus Christ?

What a beautiful grace we live under.  The tender love and mercy of our FATHER in Heaven.  Today, I am truly grateful that I can call myself a child of this CREATOR GOD whom I serve.  Please join me today and accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, if you have never done this.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and mercy.  I thank YOU for YOUR mercy and most of all, FATHER I bless YOU.  I do this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

When we obey GOD!

 Abraham is an example to all of us.  When we listen carefully to the Word of our FATHER in Heaven, HE is faithful to us.  GOD made promises to Abraham.  GOD promised Abraham that HE would give me his own country, a place to settle.  GOD promised Abraham that he would have a son and an heir.  GOD fulfilled this promise.  GOD promised Abraham that he would have descendants as numerous as the start.  GOD promised to bless the offspring of Abraham and from Abraham, we can trace the lineage of Jesus Christ.  

And why is this?  It is simple.  Abraham kept the commands of the LORD our GOD.  When Abraham was told to leave his country, he did.  When Abraham was told to circumcise the men of his clan, he did.  When Abraham was asked to sacrifice Isaac, he was willing.

Are we truly willing to do the will of GOD?  That is the question.  Are our prayers being answered.  If not, then perhaps we are not obeying the commands of our FATHER in Heaven.

And our commands are far more simple today.  Love the Lord our GOD with all our hearts, our minds and our strength.  Love one another.  And believe in Jesus Christ.  That is really simple and we need to ensure that we are keeping these commandments of our FATHER each and every day.

So if our prayers are not being answered and we seem unable to hear our FATHER talking to us, then we need to be sure that we are keeping HIS very simple commands to us.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are faithful to me.  Help me to be faithful to YOU and to keep YOUR commands as Abraham did.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

To believe GOD is to be accounted as righteous!

I like the way that Moses expressed this verse.  Using the mathematical (scientific) work, "accounted" Moses demonstrates that our belief in GOD is to be an exact science.  In other words, we can have no room to question the statement of fact.

Therefore in order to get back to GOD we need to:

Admit that we are sinners.  All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of our FATHER in Heaven.  Not one of us is without sin.  And considering ourselves against the deeds of others does not diminish our sin. 

Believe in our hearts.  We need to believe that GOD is our CREATOR FATHER.  That Jesus Christ is HIS Son who added humanity to His deity to come to earth.  Jesus lived on earth, born of a virgin mother.  He committed no sin and could not be tempted.  On earth He performed many miracles.  Some of these were feeding the five thousand men from two small fish and five loaves of bread.  Jesus walked on water.  He healed the sick.  Jesus raised people from the dead.  And then, for no sin of His own, He was beaten, mocked, cursed and finally nailed to a cross.  He hung there and died, taking all of our sins to that cross with Him.  He was punished for our sins.  Past. present and future.  

But, as Jesus was AND always will be, GOD, He raised Himself from the dead on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.  And forty days after His resurrection, He ascended into Heaven where He sits at the right hand of GOD our FATHER.  And Jesus will be the judge of our sins.  

This belief in all that is written above,  is the second part of getting to spend eternity with our FATHER.

And the last part we need to do is t confess this truth and our belief to GOD our FATHER, with our mouths.

Let us be credited as faithful believers.

Prayer:   Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and mercy.  FATHER I admit that I am a sinner.  I believe in Jesus Christ and that He is my only Saviour.  I confess this truth now with my mouth.  I pray all of this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
