Dearest CHRIST followers 

On the 14th October our youngest daughter, Kelly,  who lives in Los Angeles suffered a massive AVM stroke.

She is married to a Pastor, Jeandre,  who broke his neck in  2015. She was his primarary caregiver.  Thankfully she was a very healthy and strong 41 year old woman. 

Our gracious FATHER in Heaven was with Kelly. Her condition required a full resuscitation in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. The bleed was massive.

Our FATHER ensured that Kelly received the finest medical care,  from the ambulance personnel, to the staff at Verdugo Hills hospital and then from Keck USC medical hospital in downtiwn Los Angeles.

These angels all helped minister to Kelly and she survived this stroke.  Within four hours Kelly was operated on and the surgeons stopped the bleed and repaired the AVM.

Kelly was critical for 3 days and all the time Our FATHER  was with her and with us all.

  Her beloved husband spent every day at her bedside. He prayed with her and spoke to her constantly. He listened to the doctors and nurses and arranged medical things necessary for her insurance etc.

Her sister Nikki from Sydney flew to LA and was there within 36 hours.  Her dad and I flew from Johannesburg and arrived 72 hours after the bleed. 

Her Los Angeles Mother, Debbie ferried us all the hospial and back daily.  Her entire family, including her California Mom and Dad and her fruends and Church family prayed for and encouraged and cheered Kelly on in her remarkable and rapid recovery.  

With her family around her and JESUS with her, surrounded by loving family and caring, kind, wonderful medical professionals, Kelly recovered and was sent out of ICU to the neurological ward on the Friday after the bleed.  On the Monday after the op Kelly was admitted to Keck Rehab where more angels administered to her. 

By the following Saturday Kelly was discharged from Keck rehab and came home 

Kelly is now resting and recovering at home where she is receiving out patient treatments to assist her with her speech, physio and OT.

She did not suffer any paralysis and is in remarkably good physical shape. She is able to walk unassisted.  She has Aphasia which may or nay nor be permanent.   Time will tell.  

However I have truly witnessed GOD s hands at work in her miraculous progress to date.

Thank you all for reading this blog and I would ask that you pray  for Kelly for continued miraculous healing and for our family.

 Dearest CHRIST followers  we are so blessed to serve a GOD whose arm is not too short. With our FATHER everything is possible.

We have very good reports about Kelly today. She is improving and the doctors are very satisfied with her progress.

I am so grateful to GOD for HIS mercies and grace.  All glory to GOD

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER  I thank YOU that YOU are gracious and merciful to me and my family. FATHER we ask that Kelly be healed and that this is all to YOUR glory. I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of JESUS CHRIST. Amen.

Glory to GOD in the highest!

 Dearest CHRIST followers, I very seldom write personally.  However, my youngest daughter Kelly has had a massive stroke.  We are praying to GOD to show HIS glory in this.

I am not sure why this has happened to Kelly, but we accept GOD has a plan and HIS plan is perfect.

I would ask that you all pray for Kelly and Jeandre, (her husband), my other daughter Nikki and her family and please keep our family in your prayers.  We are in need of a miracle from our FATHER in Heaven if this is HIS will.

Prayer;  ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that all reading this know that whatever YOUR plan is, it is a perfect plan and that YOU are our CREATOR FATHER who loves us all.  FATHER we pray for a miracle for Kelly and we humbly ask that YOU heal her completely.

GOD has the perfect plan

 Dearest Christ followers, we can never know the plans GOD has for us.  What we are sure about is that whomsoever calls upon the name of the LORD shall be saved.  

We need to trust GOD in everything because GOD is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and HIS way is the only way. 

Today, let us call upon the name, JESUS CHRIST, and believe in our FATHER and HIS redemption. HE has given us life eternal through our SAVIOUR.

Prayer; ABBA FATHER, I love YOU and I thank YOU that YOU loved us so much that YOU sent JESUS to die for our sins and to give us eternal life.  I thank YOU in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Grow our faith through the WORD of GOD!

 Dearest CHRIST followers we need to hear the word of GOD to grow our faith.

We need to listen to GOD speaking to us.  We can "hear" from GOD by reading from the Bible daily.

Today, with media so readily available, we can listen to a sermon or a short Bible reading on our phones or tablets.

We need to be in fellowship with like-minded CHRIST followers, either in our Church or in smaller groups.

Communal prayer is also required for us to "hear" the Word.

Let us resolve today to grow our faith.  Let us read the Word, listen to the Word and pray to our FATHER in Heaven to help us to grow in our faith through listening to HIM.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR Word.  Help me to grow my faith daily and to be in YOUR Word daily.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY Name of JESUS CHRIST.   Amen.

Our FATHER keeps HIS promises always!

 Dearest CHRIST followers, we serve a loving merciful, gracious FATHER.  Our FATHER loves us all.  This is why HE sent HIS Son to die on the Cross for us all.  Our FATHER sent JESUS to die for everyone.  Our FATHER told Noah to build an ark and all were welcome to get on the ark. 

Our FATHER will keep HIS promises to punish those who reject HIS word and who scatter HIS flock.

We need to know that because our FATHER is just and Holy and righteous, HE cannot leave sin unpunished. 

All those who do not repent and accept JESUS as their SAVIOUR will face the righteous judgement of our FATHER.  We have only this side of the grave to decide.

Holy Holy Holy LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!

 Dearest CHRIST followers in Heaven the angels sing to the LORD "Holy Holy Holy, LORD GOD ALMIGHTY" in reverance to our FATHER.

We, here on earth, should be praising our FATHER too.  Our FATHER has given us life in abundance, and HE has given us HIS SON as propitiation for our sins.

We have done nothing to earn this, and we cannot earn it by working or doing good deeds or being good people.

The only way to get to our FATHER for eternity is to accept JESUS CHRIST as our LORD and SAVIOUR.

Today, let us make a decision to worship, honour and praise our FATHER every single day.  Let us lift our eyes to the Heavens from when comes our help.  Our help comes from our FATHER and from nothing else.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, today I say HOLY HOLY HOLY LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.  FATHER, I worship YOU.  I honour YOU.  I adore YOU.  Thank YOU for giving me life and all that I have and all that I am.  I humbly praise YOU and thank YOU in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Commit thy works unto the LORD

 

Dearest CHRIST followers, we need to take everything about our lives to the LORD.

Before we do anything, we need to pray to GOD and ask HIM to direct us as to what we should do.

It is then, when we have waited on the LORD for HIS direction that our thoughts shall be established.

Our dependence upon our FATHER needs to be for every aspect of our lives.  Our FATHER wants to guide our paths.  HE wants a living, loving parental role in our lives.  We are HIS children and HIS way is perfect.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are my FATHER.  I thank YOU that I can take everything to YOU in prayer.  FATHER guide my thoughts and my paths.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

MY sheep know MY voice!

Dearest CHRIST followers, we need to build our relationship with JESUS to such an extent that we know HIS voice.

When we are in a living relationship with JESUS we know HIM and HE will lead us.

JESUS gives us eternal life and we shall never perish when we are in HIM. 

In the verse above, JESUS tells us that no one can snatch us out of HIS HAND if we have accepted JESUS as our LORD and SAVIOUR.

This is a wonderful assurance of our salvation!

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that JESUS is my LORD and my SAVIOUR.  FATHER help me to know YOUR voice so that I may always follow YOU only.

In all things GOD works for the good of those who love HIM!

 Dearest CHRIST followers we need to trust all our plans to GOD.  It is no good rushing into things and then when the wheels fall off, praying to GOD to help us.

We need to go to GOD first about everything.  If it is the Will of GOD, GOD will help us.  If not, we are going to find roadblock after roadblock

The real issue is that we lean on our own understanding and do not trust in GOD to direct our steps. 

Today let us resolve that we are going to take everything to GOD in prayer, before we start anything.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that YOU direct my paths.  Show me YOUR will for my life.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Our CREATOR FATHER!

 Dearest CHRIST followers, the Heavens declare the Glory of our FATHER.  The earth shouts out that a divine CREATOR made it.

We are unable to make a planet or a sun or a moon.  We are unable to make the sea or the tides.

Our FATHER made it all and gave it all to us to show HIS glory.

Therefore, there is no trouble too big for our FATHER to deal with.  As the Psalmist wrote "lift up our eyes to the hills, from where our help will come.  Our help comes from the LORD who made all of this."

We serve a Mighty, Gracious, loving, merciful FATHER.  Nothing is impossible for HIM.

No problem is too great or too small.  

Let us revere our FATHER and give HIM all the glory today!

Bless Israel!

Dearest Christ followers, Israel is GOD's chosen nation out of which our MESSIAH was born.

Therefore, the LORD says, "I will bless those who bless Israel, and I will curse those who curse Israel".  (Genesis 12:3).

Today let us pray for Israel.  This is in obedience to the Word of GOD.

We do not have to agree with everything Israel does, but we do need to obey our FATHER in Heaven.

Today, as the people of Israel mourn the events of October 7th, let us stand with them in our hearts and our prays.  Let us be obedient to our FATHER.  HE sent HIS Son through the line of King David, the second king of Israel.  Our SAVIOUR was born of the tribe of Judah the lineage of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  

Without our SAVIOUR, we would have no hope of eternity with our FATHER in Heaven.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that YOU soothe the hearts of all who mourn the events of last October today.  I pray that YOU give them YOUR peace which surpasses all understanding.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY Name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

A blameless man died for me!

Dearest CHRIST followers, JESUS lived a completely sinless and blameless life.  HE was tempted but never gave in to sin.

Imagine if we could watch a replay of our messy, sinful lives?  How would we feel if that video went viral?

And yet, JESUS came to this earth to free us from that awful sinful state in which we have lived!

Imagine if we had to be punished for our sins.  How much punishment would we have to bear to make atonement for all the sins?

We do not have to do that.  All we have to do is to recognize that we are sinners.  Then we need to repent, believe and be saved.  No works, no atonement, no punishment.

Thank YOU, JESUS!  Thank YOU that YOU love me so much that YOU died and paid for my sins.  I thank YOU and I love YOU.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU love me and that I can be saved from eternal punishment through my faith in what JESUS did for me on the Cross of Calvary.  I humbly thank YOU in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Restore people gently!

 Dearest Christ followers, we need to remember that we have all sinned.  There is no one righteous on earth.  All have sinned and have fallen short of the Glory of GOD.

When we find someone sinning, we need to restore them gently.  At the same time, we need to watch the manner in which we do this.  We can be tempted to sin as well. 

Everything we do needs to be done in love, shining the light of JESUS into this ever darkening world.

Today, let us resolve to remember that we are all sinners, saved only the Grace of GOD and the redemptive blood shed by our SAVIOUR for us on that CROSS of Calvary.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that YOU show me how to be far more gentle and loving in my approach to others.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.   Amen.

Walk in the SPIRIT!

Dearest CHRIST followers, we are blessed to have the HOLY SPIRIT come and dwell in us when we believe in JESUS as our REDEEMER.

Therefore, if we are living in the SPIRIT, let us also walk in the SPIRIT.

What we need to do is to shine the light of the world, JESUS, in the world.  We do that by having the HOLY SPIRIT work in our lives.

The fruit of the HOLY SPIRIT are love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.  

As this world grows further and further away from our FATHER in Heaven, let us ask our FATHER to fill us anew with HIS HOLY SPIRIT and then we need to do our part and let the HOLY SPIRIT work in us to produce the fruit.

This is not easy, but with regular communing with our FATHER and petitioning HIM daily to fill us up again, we can start to let the HOLY SPIRIT do HIS work in us. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU for my REDEEMER, JESUS CHRIST.  FATHER, I pray that YOU would fill me anew with YOUR HOLY SPIRIT and let the HOLY SPIRIT work in my life to give me the fruits of love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control that only YOU can give to me.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Blessed are the pure in heart!

 Dearest CHRIST followers, the above was said by JESUS when HE was teaching on the Mount of Olives.

The question we need to ask ourselves is, how pure are our hearts?

We need to remember that GOD knows every thought we ever had or will have.  And it goes to the purity of our hearts.

The only way to have a pure heart is to be like JESUS.  This means that we need to start to act in way that JESUS would have done, had HE been us.  

Therefore, we need to take every thought captive and not only that, we need to purify our hearts.  We need to get rid of strife, malice, envy, hatred, rage and fill our hearts with kindness, love, compassion, mercy, kindness, joy and gladness.

This, I fear, is much easier said than done.

But we can start off today and get rid of bad thoughts, hatred, anger and malice. 

Let us resolve to purify our hearts, one small step at a time, but doing a little bit every day.

PRAYER: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  FATHER, I humbly pray that YOU help me to purify my heart to become more like JESUS.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Wisdom

 Dearest CHRIST follower, we can have wisdom if we will ask GOD for it.  Wisdom is a free gift given by GOD to all who will ask for it sincerely.

Wisdom helps us to discern good from evil.  It helps us to have discernment, and wisdom instructs us when we are making decisions.

All we have to do is use the wisdom that GOD gives us.

In all our planning and endeavors the wisest thing we can do is to ask GOD.  And then wait on our FATHER to show us the way.

Today let us earnestly ask GOD to give us wisdom.  It is a wise thing to do.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU give us such good gifts.  I thank YOU for all that YOU are and all that YOU have done for me.  FATHER, today, I humbly pray that YOU give me wisdom.  I thank YOU in the HOLY Name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Sin starts with our thoughts!

 Dearest CHRIST followers, we need to control what we think.  Sin is born from thoughts.

When we start to monitor what we read, what we watch and what we hear, we start to realize that sin is born in our thoughts.

We wrestle not against flesh and blood but principalities and powers.

The devil knows how to twist the truth so that we start thinking and then start believing that what we are doing is "not so bad".

Then when our thoughts have taken hold of our hearts, they give birth to sin.

As CHRIST followers, we need to take every thought captive and make it obedient to JESUS.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that YOU fill me anew with YOUR HOLY SPIRIT.  FATHER help me to take all my thoughts captive through the conviction of the HOLY SPIRT and to make them obedient to JESUS.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Fear GOD!

 Dearest CHRIST followers, we need to have a healthy and reverent fear of GOD.

Our FATHER knows everything we do.  HE is all powerful.  HE is also loving, merciful and gracious.

In the light of these attributes of our Holy FATHER, we ought to keep HIS commandments.

By accepting JESUS as our LORD and SAVIOUR, we are filled with the HOLY SPIRIT and HE helps us to turn from our sinful ways and shows us clearly when we are not keeping the Commandments of our FATHER in Heaven.

Only through the redemptive blood of JESUS can we be spared judgement and hell.

Let us repent and turn to GOD today!

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, we humbly thank YOU that through our faith in JESUS we will be spared eternity away from YOU.  We humbly thank YOU in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

GOD is not mocked!

Dearest CHRIST followers, we need to be very mindful that GOD reads our hearts and HE knows our every thought and, more importantly, HE knows our motives.

What we sow, we will reap.  Even to the thoughts of our hearts.

This is why it is so important to take every thought captive.

Thoughts of evil give birth to sin.

We simply cannot deceive our FATHER in Heaven and HE will not be mocked.  This is why it is so important to control what we say, what we think, what we read and what we watch.

The devil is of this world, and he is setting traps for us daily to entice us to mock our FATHER in Heaven through our actions, thoughts and deeds.

Let us not fall for his wiles.  Rather let us worship GOD with all our hearts, minds and souls.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU have shown me that I should take captive every thought.  FATHER, I humbly pray that YOU will give me the strength to do this every moment of every day.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Take up our crosses and follow JESUS

 Dearest CHRIST followers, when we accept JESUS as LORD and SAVIOUR of our lives, we are not guaranteed a trouble-free life.

We are all going to face trials and tribulations.  However, JESUS came to this earth, born as a man, added humanity to HIS Deity and HE knows the difficulties we will go through.

When troubles come, we need to "take up our crosses" that we have to bear, deny ourselves and follow JESUS. 

This sounds a lot easier than it often is.  However, we need to remember that through it all, we are not alone.

Our REDEEMER lives and HE never leaves us nor forsakes us.  Through the storms and the good times.

Be of good cheer - JESUS has overcome this world.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that in our darkest hours, YOU are always with us.  I thank YOU and I worship YOU and honour YOU and adore YOU.  YOU are my all in all.  I humbly thank YOU in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.   Amen.

True doctrine!

 Dearest CHRIST followers, we need to be very careful about the false doctrines that are passed off on us today.

There are people who teaching false doctrines.  The thing about the lies that are being taught is that they closely resemble the truth and are difficult to distinguish.

These are the "seducing" spirits being spoken of here.

We always need to check everything for ourselves.  We need to read the Scriptures to find out is what we are being told is in the Bible and is accurate.

The false doctrines are most often close to the truth.

Remember the serpent in the garden of Eden.  "Did GOD really say?"  That kind of question sews doubt and then we begin to question the voracity of the statements.

Do not be seduced by false doctrines.  These are of the devil.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR WORD which is sharper than any double-edged sword.  FATHER, I humbly pray that YOU give me a discerning heart to identify false doctrines when they arise.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Born Again!

 Dearest CHRIST followers, this is such a controversial topic for people who do not understand the terminology and what it means to be born again.

We cannot be "born twice".  That is true.  But we can be born into the family of GOD by choice.

When we choose to believe in JESUS as our REDEEMER, we repent of our sins and we are filled with the HOLY SPIRIT, we then become children of GOD.  

To be "born again" we must repent of our sins and turn away completely from our old lives.  The HOLY SPIRIT comes to live in us.  We are then co-heirs with JESUS.  We are HIS brothers and sisters. However, we now have the responsibility to now act in such a way that we bring glory to GOD our FATHER.

JESUS says it above, "no one can see the kingdom of GOD unless they are born again.  No longer are we born of human will, but by the SPIRIT of GOD.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU that I am born of the HOLY SPIRIT and now belong to YOUR family in Heaven.  FATHER I humbly pray that anyone reading this who has not been born again, will now wish to turn to YOU, repent, believe in JESUS and be born again.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

O LORD YOU have searched me!

Dearest CHRIST followers, no one knows us better than our Heavenly FATHER.  Before we were born, HE knew us.

HE knows our going out and our coming in.

We can hide nothing from our FATHER.

The question is therefore, how well do we know our FATHER?

Isn't it time to get to know the nature and character of our FATHER?

Today, let us resolve to get to know GOD in an intimate way.  Let us build our relationship based on trust and then let us put all our trust in our FATHER and have HIS will done in our lives and not our will.

All have sinned!

 Dearest CHRIST followers we have all sinned and all have fallen short of the glory of GOD.

We serve a Holy, Just, Kind, Loving, Merciful, Gracious GOD who cannot be in the presence of sin.

That is the only reason GOD made a way for us to get to Heaven.

JESUS is that Way.  There is no other way to get to Heaven.

No one who does not believe that JESUS is the MESSIAH, the REDEEMER, the LAMB of GOD, will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

We are only justified through the Blood of JESUS and our faith in JESUS.  Nothing else can get us into Heaven.

We are all going to live for eternity and there are only two choices, Heaven or hell.  Where are you going when you die?  Make the decision today.  You may not have tomorrow.  No one is guaranteed tomorrow.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU that YOU made a WAY for me to get to Heaven through faith in JESUS CHRIST and HIS redemptive work on the CROSS for my sins.  I thank YOU in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Do not worry!

 Dearest CHRIST followers, our FATHER loves us dearly and HE knows what we need.

When we accept JESUS as our REDEEMER, we can hand all our worries over to our FATHER in Heaven.

JESUS told HIS disciples that our FATHER knows what we need.  What we need is faith in our FATHER's abilities and we should not depend on our own abilities.

This does not mean that we should not work and just wait for our FATHER to do everything for us.  But it does mean that our anxieties we present to our FATHER in good faith and then we stop worrying.  However, present our anxieties in thanksgiving for what our FATHER does for us and the peace HE brings in our lives.

JESUS went on to say to HIS disciples that we cannot add even a cubit to our height by worrying.

Moreover, our FATHER even knows the number of hairs upon our heads.

Today, let us resolve not to worry about anything but to take it to the LORD in prayer.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU that YOU know my needs.  FATHER, I thank YOU that I can petition YOU with all the things that are worrying me.  I thank YOU in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Trust in the LORD always!

Dearest CHRIST followers, our GOD is bigger than anything we could ever imagine.  We do not need to be afraid of anything when we put our hope and our trust in our Heavenly FATHER.

Our FATHER, when we trust in HIM completely, will uphold us with HIS right hand and with all HIS righteousness.

Our FATHER will be with us in whatever we do and whatever we face.  With GOD on our side, of whom or of what shall we be afraid?

Today, do not be dismayed.  Put all your trust in JESUS CHRIST!

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I am so thankful that I am able to place my trust in YOU.  I humbly thank YOU in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Encourage one another!

 Dearest CHRIST followers, Paul, writing to the Thessalonians urged them to encourage one another.

We, today, should do likewise.

A lot of people are struggling to deal with life at the moment.  Cost of living is high, there is insecurity and crime.  People are dealing with illnesses themselves or their loved ones are struggling. 

As CHRIST followers we can encourage those around us in the smallest of ways. With the modern speed of communication, we can send a kind word or a simple message to let that person know that we are thinking of them today.

Let us try to encourage each other.  One kind word can make a huge difference to person who is feeling discouraged.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU have given me so much.  Help me to make a difference in someone's life today.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Do not let the sun go down on your anger!

 Dearest CHRIST followers, this is such sound advice from Paul.  If we go to bed thinking about something that is annoying us, we give the devil a foothold to take over our thoughts while we sleep.

We need to pray to GOD to overcome any anger that we feel and ask GOD to help us to overcome it.

When we are angry the best cure is prayer.

Once we are peaceful, then we can go to sleep.

If we have had an argument with someone we love, settle that before we go to bed.

Thoughts of anger give birth to acts of evil. 

Today, let us resolve to still any anger before we sleep.  No matter what caused it.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, thank YOU that I can pray to YOU about my anger.  Help me FATHER to take anger out of my mind before I sleep.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Wisdom!

 Dearest CHRIST followers, wisdom is a free gift from the LORD.  All who ask for it will get it.

However, I fear it is something we seldom choose to ask for.

People want all sorts of things from GOD.  But our FATHER has a perfect plan for each one of us.  HIS plan is so much better than ours.

When we ask for wisdom, and we receive it, we are better able to discern what is good for us and what is not good for us.

We are more equipped to deal with waiting on the LORD when we have wisdom.

Today let us resolve that on a daily basis we will ask the LORD to give us the wisdom to make the right choices in our life.  Let us ask our FATHER for understanding to find the right paths to take.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for all my blessings so gratefully received today.  FATHER give me wisdom and understanding to be able to make the right choices.  FATHER, I pray that I choose THY will and not my will.   I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Our sins can be forgiven if we are repentant!

 Dearest CHRIST followers, if we truly repent of our sins, our FATHER in Heaven will forgive us.

Often, we think if have sinned, it is absolutely unforgiveable.  However, as I wrote about yesterday, GOD reads our hearts.

Sometimes it takes us to come right to the end of ourselves to realize how we have offended GOD.

However, JESUS died for all of us because our FATHER loves each one of us and HE wants none of us to perish.  All we have to do is to truly be contrite.

Recognizing that we have sinned is the start of that process.

Each and every day we need to ask our FATHER to fill us with HIS HOLY SPIRIT.  The HOLY SPIRIT convicts us when we sin.  And we can then repent and be forgiven.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace.  FATHER fill me anew with YOUR HOLY SPIRIT and convict me when I sin.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Whatever things are true!

 Dearest CHRIST followers I love the way Paul advises the Philippians.  Let us read this verse again and again and then let us put this into practice whenever we feel overwhelmed by life.

Whatever things are true - there is so much falseness and so many lies in our world today.

Whatever things are noble - again, so very little of anything today is noble.

Just - If you are like me, I truly struggle with this.  It seems that politicians and people in power have laws for thee but not for me.

Pure is easier to find.  We can find this is in nature, small children, little animals, some people - again - sometimes hard to find. 

Lovely and of good report. Well, that is challenging with people, easier to say of sunrises and sunsets and the like. 

One thing I am sure of is that all of these attributes can be found in JESUS. 

Paul exhorts us to find these things, meditate on them as this will bring peace to our hearts.  Surely, we can meditate on the goodness, the love, the grace, the mercy and the love of JESUS CHRIST from morning till night!

Today, let us seek JESUS and meditate on all HIS goodness.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are true, noble, just, pure, lovely and of good report.  I thank YOU that I can meditate on YOU day and night and this gives me YOUR peace which transcends all understanding.  I humbly thank YOU in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

GOD reads our hearts!

 Dearest CHRIST followers, as we serve a CREATOR GOD, our FATHER knows everything about us.  HE knows what we are thinking and what we are going to think.  HE knows and HE reads our hearts.

We simply cannot run and hide from our FATHER.

GOD knows the most important reason we do anything, because GOD knows our motives.

We have nowhere to hide in our hearts.  

That is why it is so important in life to do the Will of GOD.  If we do things for ourselves out of selfish motives and ambitions, we are not doing the Will of GOD.

Ultimately, let us store up for ourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moths nor thieves can get at them.

This world is very fleeting.  Let us concentrate on eternity.  Maranatha LORD!

PRAYER: ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that YOU show me YOUR will and direct my paths accordingly.  Let me never do anything in selfish ambition.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Trust in the LORD!

Dearest Christ followers, the Scriptures repeatedly echo the point that we need to trust in the LORD.

Complete trust means that we surrender our lives to the will of our FATHER.  When we trust someone implicitly, we know that they have our best interests at heart.

Trust implies that the person in whom we place our trust will never let us down.

On earth, we are often let down by people around us.

It is always a shock to find out that we cannot trust someone that we have put a lot of our trust into.

It happens between parents and children, between spouses, between friends.  And it is always very disheartening.

However, our trust in the LORD can never be misplaced.  GOD knows everything about us including the number of hairs on our heads.  GOD also knows what is best for us in every situation.

Therefore, the trust we place in GOD surpasses all other "trusts".  Our trust in our FATHER is in HIS grace, HIS mercy, HIS goodness and HIS love for us.  This surpasses anything we can ever experience on earth with anyone.

Trust in the LORD today.  You will not be disappointed!

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are completely trustworthy.  FATHER today I humbly ask that YOU always lead my life and that YOUR will be done and not mine.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

The LORD is our refuge and our strength!

 Dearest Christ followers, our FATHER in Heaven is our refuge and strength.  When we are weak our weakness is made strong only in our FATHER.

Our FATHER shields us and our FATHER delivers us.

We will never know this side of Heaven all the dangers, trials and troubles our FATHER has protected us from.

What we need to do is to trust our FATHER completely.  Our FATHER knows what is best for us at all times.  Our FATHER knows our strengths and our weaknesses.

Therefore, for all the might and power and grace of our FATHER in Heaven let us worship, honour and adore HIM today.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR strength.  I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  I thank YOU for my REDEEMER, JESUS CHRIST.  I humbly thank YOU in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

The LORD is my light and my salvation!

Dearest Christ followers we all have days when we feel that we are under attack from the whole world. It is on days such as these that it is so good to go to the WORD of GOD and read what the Psalmists say. 

In the Psalm above Kind David who was often persecuted by firstly King Saul and later on, even his own son, wrote that the LORD is our light.

The LORD is our salvation and the strength of our lives.

As it was then, it is true today.

With GOD on our side of whom shall we be afraid?

Our FATHER can do anything.  Today let us stand firm in our faith knowing that we serve a truly MIGHTY FATHER!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are my strength and my shield.  I thank YOU that YOU are the LIGHT of my world.  I humbly thank YOU in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Effectual fervent prayer

Dearest CHRIST followers, we are to pray without ceasing.  We are to pray about everything.  

I this verse above James, the half-brother of JESUS, calls on his readers to confess our faults to one another and to pray for one another so that we may be healed.

He then goes on to say that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person achieves a great deal.

There is real power in prayer. 

GOD wants us to be in prayer so that we are communing with HIM.  Not that GOD does not know what is going on in our lives - HE knows everything.  However, GOD wants us to trust in HIM and to take our concerns to HIM. 

Today, let us resolve to take everything in prayer to our FATHER who loves us.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that I learn to pray about everything in my life.  Teach me ABBA FATHER.  This I humbly ask in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Be the light!

Dearest CHRIST followers we need to be the salt and light on this earth.

As it stands, our world is getting darker and darker.  Good is being called evil and evil is being called.

The credibility of our faith lies in the way we demonstrate it on earth.

It is no good being a believer and just keeping this to ourselves.  Our faith needs to be put into action to produce the salt and light.

Today, let us resolve that we need to show our faith through our actions.  

Let us not be confirmed to the things of this world, but rather let us bring glory to our FATHER through spreading the Gospel, not accepting right for wrong or wrong for right.  

Let us stand firm in our convictions of what GOD requires from us, to be salt and light.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, we thank YOU that we are under YOUR grace through our faith.  FATHER, help us to stand firm in our convictions against the dark things of this world.  Show us where we can spread the Gospel and be the light and salt of this world.  We humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

Rejoice evermore!

Dearest CHRIST followers, let us rejoice today.  We are so privileged to be under the Grace of GOD.

We must rejoice about this evermore.  

We also need to do as Paul recommended all those centuries ago and we need to pray without ceasing.

The Will of GOD is also that we give thanks for everything.

And how blessed we are!  We have our FATHER in Heaven always with us.  We have our SAVIOUR JESUS with us always.  We have the HOLY SPIRIT living in us.

Let us therefore, rejoice, give thanks and pray without ceasing!

We have nothing to fear with GOD on our side.  

Prayer;  ABBA FATHER, today I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  I thank YOU that YOU are always with me.  I thank YOU for JESUS CHRIST, my REDEEMER.  I thank YOU for the HOLY SPIRIT living in me.  I humbly thank YOU in the HOLY Name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.
