Jesus is steadfast!

 In this letter to the Thessalonians, Paul prays that GOD will direct their hearts.  And we should pray this today.  That GOD will direct our hearts into the steadfastness of Jesus Christ.

This world is in such a turmoil.  We need the steady reassurance that Jesus loves us.  Jesus wants us all to spend eternity with Him and our FATHER in Heaven.  

All we have to do to obtain this is to accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour.  We need to confess our sins and to believe that Jesus is who He is - the Son of GOD our FATHER in Heaven.  The Son sent to die for us. The Son who took all of our sins onto the cross and washed them as white as snow.  The Son who conquered death so that we could have eternal life in Heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I thank YOU for YOUR love and for YOUR grace.  I thank YOU for the steadfastness of Jesus who saved me from hell.  I thank YOU in Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Our Lord is faithful!

 Let us be very clear about our GOD.  Our FATHER in Heaven is omniscient, HE is omnipotent, HE is omnipresent.  And Satan is none of these.  GOD can be everywhere, all the time.  GOD has no dimensions limiting HIS ability. 

Therefore, we ought to know this, Our FATHER is able to protect us from the evil one.  Our FATHER is able to do ALL things.  Our FATHER needs to be "right-sized" by us.  When GOD is for us, who can be against us?

It really is that simple.  Put your hopes and fears in prayer to our FATHER in Heaven today and watch as HE takes over when we relinquish all to HIM in prayer!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I give YOU all my cares and I give YOU my life.  I trust in YOU FATHER that YOU can use my and my life to glorify YOU on earth.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Holy Lives

 When we call ourselves children of GOD, we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour.  We have repented of the old sinful self.  We have had a 180 degree turn in our thinking and we know that we are sinners by nature. We need then to know that our old ways are not the way in which GOD wants us to live our lives anymore.

Therefore, we need to know that foul language, lustful ways, greed, malice, jealousy and all the things that we used to give in to, are not the way of GOD.  We need therefore, to watch what we say and what we do.

We need to change the way we do things completely and this needs to be evidenced by the lives that we choose to live.

So today, let us put aside the things that this world finds so acceptable.  Let us stand up for GOD and let be counted as true children of GOD evidenced by the way we conduct our lives.  Not just in public but in private too! 

Let us not be hypocritical but let us choose to live here on earth as Jesus would.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, help me today to put off my old self.  Help me not to sin.  Help me not to use profanity, not to be greedy or jealous.  Help me not to lust after the things of this world, but to store up for myself treasures in YOUR kingdom. Help me to serve others and to be a good example of YOUR child here on earth.   I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay purely GOD blessed today!

Rejoice Always!

 Paul, in his letter to the Thessalonians tells his readers to rejoice always.  To pray continually and to give thanks in all circumstances.  

Paul goes on to say that this is GOD's will for us in Christ Jesus.

What a wonderful way to praise GOD.  Today let us rejoice in our Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Let us give thanks for all the circumstances in which we find ourselves.

We are blessed by GOD because we are under HIS merciful grace.  And we are HIS children, here on earth and into eternity!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU and I rejoice in YOU.  I am so grateful to have YOUR grace and mercy.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay mercifully GOD blessed today!

 To the only wise GOD be glory and majesty.  So let it be!  GOD is able to strengthen us.  GOD is able to reveal mysteries to us.  GOD is able to bring about obedience of faith.

Paul attributes all of this to our FATHER in Heaven.  And we should know what an awesome GOD we serve!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, to YOU be all the majesty.  To YOU be all the glory and to YOU be all the power.  I thank YOU FATHER that I am able to call YOU ABBA FATHER.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD will meet all our needs!

 When things go wrong and it appears that our plans are awry.  We need to go back to the word of GOD.  GOD will meet all our needs according to the riches of HIS glory in Christ Jesus.  In other words, it is not our plans, but GOD's plan for lives that we need to consider.  We plan and plan, but are we asking GOD to fit into HIS plan rather than trying to fit GOD into our plan.

Let's get this right and pray to GOD to fit us into HIS perfect plan.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, please fit me into YOUR perfect plan for my life.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Only through the Grace of GOD can we be saved!

 GOD has given us only one way to get to Heaven.  And that way is clearly marked.  We need to take Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour.  We need to believe that He is the Son of GOD and that He did live on earth.  He died for our sins.  Therefore we need to confess our sins.  We need to confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and that He conquered death to give us eternal life.  This is the only way to Heaven.  No good works, no good thoughts, nothing else will get us to Heaven.  Therefore, now is the hour to accept the Grace of GOD.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Be humble and gentle with one another!

 In this letter to the Ephesians, Paul tells us that as children of GOD we are to be humble and gentle, patient and bearing with one another in love.  And not only that but we should do everything to keep the peace.

In this world of turmoil and where the world as we know it, seems to have gone completely haywire, let us especially at this time try to be like this.  Let us above all, be humble and kind.  We all need this in our lives right now.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, help me today to be humble and kind above all else.  I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Praise our CREATOR FATHER!

 Let us today praise GOD our FATHER in Heaven.  Let us give HIM thanks for HIS mercy and HIS grace.  Let us praise HIM for HIS love and kindness to us.

Let us fall down on our knees and worship our Heavenly FATHER, from whom all blessings flow.  Let us adore HIM all creatures here below.  Let us praise FATHER, Son and Holy Ghost!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I offer up my praise and may this prayer glorify YOU.  I thank YOU for Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Saviour.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

DO good!

 Although we cannot get to our salvation with Jesus through good works, once we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we are filled with the Holy Spirit.  And the Holy Spirit, being our Counsellor and our guide convicts us to do good.  

And in this letter to the Galatians, Paul exhorts all believers to do good to all people.  Especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

This is to encourage one another and to love one another.  When we truly love one another, we want to to good to each other.

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, today I pray that YOU show me where I can do good to others and thereby shine the light of Jesus on earth today.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Do not give up!

 In as much as we will reap what we sow, we should never grow weary of doing good!  What a wonderful thought to contemplate today!

Paul tell us here, that if we do not give up, indeed we shall reap the harvest.  And that is true.  We may not reap what we sow on earth, but we shall reap it in Heaven with our CREATOR FATHER. 

Today, let us think of ways to do good to others.  Let us think of ways to improve our relationship with our FATHER in Heaven.  Let us pray more.  Let us read HIS word more.  Let us love one another more!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I want to love YOU more.  I want to know YOU more and I want YOU to give me strength to never give up!  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

We reap what we sow!

 When bad things happen it is often that we hear "How can GOD allow this?"

This is far from the truth.  The truth of the matter is that we are all given free will.  We are given the grace of GOD freely as well.  What GOD wants is that we accept HIS free gift.  The gift of an eternal life with HIM.  This is only done through our faith in Jesus Christ.  

It is up to us! And I mean it is ALL up to us.  We can accept the grace of GOD or we can reject the grace of GOD.  We can choose to do things our way, or we can listen to the word of GOD.

This does not mean that bad things will not happen to us.  Even if we have accepted the grace of GOD.  Even if we are living our lives in the best way we can.  Because every person on earth has been given free will.  

And GOD does not promise us an easy life.  GOD promises us an eternal life.  And we can accept that or reject that.  What happens to us on this earth is nothing to do with the grace of GOD.  So let us remember that when we choose to accept the grace of GOD, we are planning for our life AFTER this world.  Not our life in this world.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and mercy.  Help me to plan for my salvation.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Fruit of the Holy Spirit

 When we believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour, we are filled with the Holy Spirit.  And the indwelling of the Holy Spirit will produce fruit in us.  The fruits are as listed in Galatians.  Love, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control.

We may not get all of this immediately upon our infilling of the Holy Spirit.  But as time goes on and our relationship with GOD increases.  As our trust in Jesus Christ grows, so too will people begin to recognise the fruits of the Holy Spirit living and working in our lives.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I pray that the fruits of the Holy Spirit grow in me.  Especially FATHER, I ask that YOU give me more patience and more self control.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay GOD blessed today!

 As children of GOD and under the grace of GOD, we are clothed with the blood of Jesus.  This comes with responsibility.

When we call ourselves children of GOD, we are set apart and we need to act in the same manner which Jesus would have behaved.

Our behaviour needs to reflect the grace of GOD.  Our behaviour needs to shine the light of Jesus in the world.  And this can only be achieved by prayer and communion with GOD.  This can only be achieved by knowing the word of GOD and by knowing the will of GOD for our lives.  This can only be achieved through a living relationship with our FATHER in Heaven.  

Set aside time each day to grow this relationship.  It is the most important decision we can make on earth!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER show me how to best shine YOUR light on this earth.  I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Crucified with Christ!

 

In Paul's letter to the Galatians, he writes that He has been crucified with Christ and that is no longer Paul living in his own body, but Christ living in him.

As co heirs with Jesus, we need to die to ourselves and to let Jesus take up residence in our bodies.  We need to see the things of the earth growing strangely dim in the new light of Jesus Christ.  

That is truly becoming a child of GOD!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, help me to die to myself and my own earthly desires.  Help me to see the things of this earth growing dimmer in the light of Jesus Christ.  My Lord and my Saviour.  Amen.

Walk in the light of Jesus!

 Jesus is light.  Jesus is life and through our faith in Jesus we are cleansed of our sins.  

We can get to walk in the light of Jesus when we confess that we are sinners.  When we admit that Jesus is the Son of GOD and when we confess with our mouths that we believe this.

So today, choose the light and walk away from the darkness.  We do not know when Jesus will come in the clouds to fetch His bride.  Us!  Those who walk in the light!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU for the light in my Life.  Thank YOU for Jesus Christ, YOUR Son, my Saviour.  Thank YOU FATHER, I am a sinner and I do not deserve YOUR grace.  But I accept YOUR grace today.   I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Glory to GOD in the Highest!

 This beautiful doxology can be found in Jude 1 verses 24 25.  I today offer up an extreme attitude of gratitude and give all glory to GOD my FATHER in Heaven.

I praise GOD from whom all blessings flow.  I implore all creatures here below to do the same and humbly ask that my FATHER in Heaven accept this offering.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, to YOU be Honour, the Majesty, the Power and the Glory, now and forever.   I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

We can only get to Heaven through our faith and belief in Jesus!

 Make no mistake, there is NO OTHER way to get to Heaven.  You can do absolutely nothing to "earn" your way into Heaven.

GOD our FATHER, our CREATOR, has given us HIS perfect plan.  And HIS plan involved sending HIS only Son to save us. 

Adam and Eve sinned and gave up eternal life with GOD.  We are sinners, whether we admit it or not.  Not one is blemish free.  And the only way, the only truth and the only life is in an absolute belief that Jesus is who He says He is. 

Jesus came to earth, born of a virgin mother, lived on earth, ministered on earth.  He never sinned, not once.  He was the blemish free sacrifice sent to die on a cross with our sins running down the cross with His blood.  

He conquered death by rising on the third day.  Jesus will judge us.  He is the appointed judge of us all. 

Do not be deceived.  Accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour today.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I cry out to YOU tonight.  I am a sinner.  I believe in Jesus Christ as my Saviour.  I confess this to YOU tonight with my mouth.  Save me FATHER with YOUR enormous grace.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

A new creation!

 Once we have done our ABC's, A being admit that we are sinners, B being believe that Jesus is who He says He is, C, being confessed with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, then we are filled with the Holy Spirit.  And Jesus comes to live in us.

When this happens, we die to ourselves and are "born again" into the righteousness and love of Jesus Christ.  We become new creations.

This is the good news.  This is worth living for and most of all, this is worth dying for!

Prayer:  Heavenly FATHER, I admit that I am a sinner.  I believe with all my heart, with all my mind and with all my strength that Jesus is my Saviour.  FATHER I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord of all.  I pray all of this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Let us purify our bodies and our minds!

When we accept the grace of GOD, we are filled with the Holy Spirit.  It is through this infilling of the Holy Spirit that we can start the process of purifying our minds and our bodies.  We need to start putting away the things of this earth and we need to turn our eyes upon Jesus and our eternal lives.

This means no longer doing things that contaminate our purity and our holiness which is bestowed upon on us by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

We should change the way we speak, not using blasphemy and crudeness, but becoming gentle and kind.  We should not want to watch movies that are violent or that adulterate our minds and set us on paths that will lead to eternal damnation.

We should also choose our company carefully.  All this to perfect the holiness given freely by GOD to each one of us when we accept Jesus as our Lord and our Saviour!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU for YOUR grace so freely given to a sinner like me.  I pray FATHER, that you will help me to become pure in heart and spirit and help me to become more like Jesus .  I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Saviour.  Amen!

The grace of GOD is sufficient!

 The grace of GOD is sufficient for us and HIS power is made perfect in our weakness.

Do you recall singing the song: "Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so, 

Little ones to Him belong, they are weak but He is strong!"

This verse makes me think about that song.  And through our weaknesses, if we will but bow our knees to GOD and call on HIS power, then we shall know that HIS grace is sufficient for our every need.

HE is strong as we are weak!

Today, let us call on the power of the awesome CREATOR FATHER that we serve and let us just seek HIS mighty grace, which is more than sufficient for our needs!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I call on YOUR power and YOUR majesty to help me in my weakness.  I know that YOUR grace is sufficient for all my needs.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Stay graciously GOD blessed today!

Every knee will bow to GOD!

 Whether we know it or not, whether we accept it or not, the truth is that GOD is the CREATOR of our universe.  GOD has a perfect plan for each and every one of us.  And when GOD makes a promise, HE always delivers.

Know this!  The above promise of this verse will happen.  And it will happen to us all.  Whether we are believers or not!

So let us practise our faith.  Let us grow our faith.  Let us exercise our faith daily in everything we think and everything we say and everything we do.  Let us become soldiers for GOD and let us fight the good fight in the Holy name of our CREATOR GOD and our Lord and our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I know that I will not be able to stand in YOUR presence.  But today I confess to YOU, I am a sinner.  I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and my Saviour.  I confess with my mouth that YOU are GOD almighty, my TRIUNE FATHER in Heaven.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
