Divine power for GODLY living!

 Dearest Christ followers, when we accept Jesus as our Redeemer and have become co heirs with Jesus Christ, we are equiped with divine power to enable us to live GODLY lives.

We can tap into this divine power through becoming more and more close to GOD.  To become closer to GOD is in our hands.

When we understand the nature and character of GOD, we begin to understand the majesty and holiness of GOD.

And HE has given us the chance to use this divine power in order to shine HIS light on this very dark earth. 

So what do we do to get this power?  We need to draw closer to GOD each and every day.  We need to pray for the Holy Spirit to poured out on us anew every day.  We need to ask GOD to give us the opportunity to show HIS glory on earth.

Today, let us resolve to tap into this divine power to showcase the wonderful FATHER we have in Heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that YOU will fill me anew with YOUR HOLY SPIRIT.  FATHER grant me the opportunity to shine YOUR light and YOUR glory on earth.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY NAME of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

The LORD your GOD is with you!

 Dearest Christ followers.  We are never alone.  GOD is with us wherever we are. 

And our FATHER wants a living, loving relationship with each one of us.  HE wants none to perish, but all to come to repentance and to accept Jesus, whom HE gave us as our Redeemer.

If we accept Jesus, GOD rejoices over us. 

What a truly amazing FATHER we have in Heaven.  Oh come let us adore HIM!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER thank YOU for YOUR grace, YOUR favour and YOUR tender mercies.  I worship YOU.  I honour YOU.  I adore YOU.  FATHER make YOUR face to shine upon me today.  I humbly ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Humility comes from wisdom!

 Dearest Christ followers, the more we know, the more we know how little we know.

In asking GOD to give us wisdom, it already shows that we know that we are not wise.

As we grow in knowledge, it brings with it the realization of how little we actually know. It also brings with us the realization of how much we need GOD. 

After years and years and reading my Bible cover to cover, I am constantly discovering how little of the Bible I actually know.

It is a reality. 

But when we ask GOD to give us wisdom, HE shows us what we need to know.  That is the most important thing.  Not to be wise in our own understanding, but to admit to our FATHER that we need HIM for everything in our lives.  We also need to ask our FATHER to show how us live better lives that glorify HIM alone. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I thank YOU that YOU are my all in all.  Without YOU I can do nothing.  FATHER, I humbly ask that YOU give me wisdom and YOUR good deeds to do.  I humbly ask this in Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom!

 Dearest Christ followers, in this chapter of Proverbs, we are given the advice on wisdom.

Now, anyone who asks for wisdom will be given it. 

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let his ask of GOD, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him".  James 1:5-6

And according to this Proverb, the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.

So, let us unpack this.  The writer of Proverbs is not talking about being afraid of GOD, this fear is a reverent fear, a healthy fear, which comes from understanding who GOD is.  It is a fear that accompanies the realization of the true nature and character of the FATHER GOD we serve.

Our FATHER is greater than anything we can imagine.  Our FATHER is holier than anyone can ever be.  Our FATHER is more gracious and more loving than anything we can imagine.

When we begin to know GOD, a healthy fear of the power and majesty of our CREATOR FATHER starts to grow.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for who YOU are.  I humbly pray that YOU grant me wisdom to fear YOU reverently.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Trust in the LORD!

 Dearest Christ followers, we need to lean into our FATHER in Heaven.  Our trust in our FATHER needs to be complete.

We cannot lean on our own understanding and then hope to pray to GOD to agree with our plans.

Our plans need to be presented to GOD in earnest and reverent prayer.  We need to pray with thanksgiving and adoration for our FATHER.  In prayer presenting our ideas, our thoughts and our plans and then asking our FATHER to guide us.

When we receive the answers from our FATHER, we need to trust HIM completely and listen to what HE is guiding us to do, not doing what we want and then hoping our FATHER will approve our plans.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray to ask YOU what we need to do at this crossroads in our lives.  FATHER show us where YOU want us to be and which path YOU want us to choose.  We humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Take everything to the LORD in prayer!

 Dearest Christ followers, Paul, in his letter to the Philippians advises that we should be anxious about nothing.  In every situation, we need to pray and petition the LORD with thanksgiving.

When we do this, the peace of GOD, which transcends all understanding will guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus.

This is very important to learn to do in today's world.  We are bombarded with so much information and life seems to be so scary and worrisome at times. If we practise praying to the LORD in thanksgiving and presenting our requests that the LORD will give us HIS peace, our FATHER will hear us.

Today, let us resolve to pray without ceasing.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER today I humbly thank YOU that I am able to petition YOU through the grace of Jesus Christ.  FATHER, in every situation, grant me YOUR peace that transcends all understanding.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Believe!

 Dearest Christ followers when we accept Jesus, we need to believe that Jesus is exactly who the Bible tells us HE is.

And if we believe in Jesus, fully and without wavering, we can be strong about our faith.

The disciples in the verse above are being schooled by Jesus in what true faith really means.

We need to have such a faith in our FATHER.  After all, HE died for us so that we could have forgiveness of our sins.  HE died for us so that when we stand before GOD, we are fully justified.  HE died for us so that HE could give glory to GOD.  That is exactly what we are called to do.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU that I have salvation through my faith in Jesus.  FATHER help me to grow my faith daily.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Set your mind on Heaven!

 Dearest Christ followers, we need to set our eyes on Heaven.  In this earth we will have our fair share of troubles.  But Jesus came to earth to give us hope and a future. All we have to do is to accept this hope and have faith that Jesus is now fully in charge of our lives.

We need to relinquish our self will to that of our FATHER above.  In so doing, we set our minds of the things above and not on the things of this world.

This is difficult to do at first, but the more we come to rely on Jesus, the easier it is.

Today, let us resolve to do just that.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I worship YOU and I adore YOU.  FATHER help me to accept YOUR will in my life and to relinquish my will to YOURS.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of my REDEEMER, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Salvation if found in no other name - JESUS CHRIST OUR SAVIOUR!

 Dearest Christ followers, the Bible is very clear on one thing.  Our FATHER sent HIS only begotten Son to save the world.  And there is NO other way to get to Heaven.

This is a very serious command that we are given.  We need to tell people that they cannot get to Heaven other than to accept Jesus Christ. 

No one can work their way into Heaven. No one can be a "good person" and get to Heaven.

And it is our job to tell others.  We are responsible when we meet people and stay silent on the matter.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  FATHER, where I meet people who have not accepted Jesus, grant me YOUR strength to tell them that they have a SAVIOUR and HIS name if Jesus Christ.  I humbly ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My REDEEMER.  Amen.

Rapture!

 Dearest Christ followers, if you are like me, you believe in the pretribulation rapture.

That is to say, the rapture that will take place before the tribulation begins.

In the passage above, Paul describes the rapture.  The LORD himself will descend from Heaven and with a shout and the voice of the Arch Angel, and the trumpet of GOD, the dead in Christ shall rise first to meet Jesus in the clouds.  Then, those of us who are alive, will be caught up together in the clouds to meet Jesus in the air.

So we shall be with the FATHER forever!

I truly cannot wait.  This world is so topsy and so turvy.  Right is wrong and evil is good.

It is truly painful to watch what is going on in this world right now.

Pray without ceasing!

 Dearest Christ followers, Paul calls upon all his readers to pray without ceasing.  And this is so relevant today.

The world is definitely in the last days, whether it be last decade or last month or last days.

Everywhere good is being called evil and evil is being called good.  Right is wrong and wrong is right.

We, as Christ followers are now, more than ever, going to need to pray without ceasing.  We need to pray for the souls of those who have not accepted Jesus as their Saviour.  We need to pray for our religious leaders who are under attack by the evil in the world.  

We need to pray for ourselves for strength and fortitude to keep on praying and to be strong against what is not right.

We need to pray for our families and for those who have not come to Jesus to have the eyes of their hearts opened to accept HIM before it is too late.  But most of all we need to pray for love to fill us hearts for those who are so lost.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, we thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  FATHER give us endurance to pray without ceasing for what is happening now in our world.  We humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Rejoice always, Pray without ceasing and give thanks!

 Dearest Christ followers, the above verse is a very good lesson on how we ought to live our lives to be true Christ followers.

We are so blessed in our lives, so we need to rejoice about the blessings we have.  In life, we need to pray about everything, and we need to pray without ceasing. 

Lastly, we need to give thanks to GOD for all that we have. 

This is the Will of GOD for our lives us all of us in Jesus Christ. After all, Jesus Christ died to save us all from our sins.

Without Jesus we could never get to spend eternity with our FATHER.  Without Jesus we could never hope to atone for our sins.  Without Jesus, we would not have the love of GOD graciously poured out through Jesus.

All of this is cause for us to rejoice always!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU for YOUR grace, YOUR mercy, YOUR lovingkindness and YOUR justice.  Teach me to pray without ceasing. Teach me to give thanks in all circumstances.  Teach me YOUR Will Oh FATHER.  I humbly ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Testify to the good news of GOD's grace!

 Dearest Christ followers, we can certainly take a leaf out of Paul's book on this one.

It is always difficult to evangelise in this day and age, especially to unbelievers and people of other faith.

However, if we do not take the opportunities to do so, we are failing in our loyalty to Jesus.

People need to hear the Gospel and if we are the only ones who are going to deliver it to them, then that is what we need to do.

More than ever today, people need to know that there is a way to spend eternity with our FATHER in Heaven.  And the only way is through Jesus Christ.  There is no other way.

As Paul states, our aim needs to be to finish the race and complete the task.  We are not put on this earth simply to live our lives, have a family, work and then die.  We are put on this earth to give glory to GOD.  The way that we give GOD the glory is to tell others about Jesus and what HE has done for us.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU that YOU have saved me.  I pray that YOU give me opportunities to share the Gospel with others and in so doing to glorify YOUR Holy Name.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Be merciful!

 Dearest Christ followers, we need to pray to our FATHER to make us more like Jesus each and every day.

Our FATHER has graciously given us the opportunity to spend eternity with HIM in Heaven through the blood of Jesus Christ.  GOD in HIS infinite mercy sent HIS only Son to die for us and to pay for our sins on the Cross of Calvary.  Through GOD's mercy we are saved.

And just as our GOD is merciful to us sinners, so we need to be merciful to one another.

We cannot expect forgiveness if we are not willing to forgive. We cannot expect anything from others that we are not willing to do ourselves.

Jesus gave us the two most important commandments which should be our benchmark for our lives.  The first is that we love our FATHER with all our hearts, all our minds, all our souls and all our strength.  Then we need to love each other in the same way Jesus loves us all.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU loved me first.  I thank YOU that YOU have given me the capacity for love.  FATHER, I humbly ask that YOU teach me how to be more like Jesus each and every day.  Amen.

Our compassionate and faithful FATHER!

Dearest Christ followers, we can be assured of our FATHER's love for us.  If our FATHER did not love us, HE is more than capable of destroying us and indeed, the entire universe.

And the beauty of the love of our FATHER for us is that HIS compassions are new every morning.

In other words, our FATHER gives us each day as an opportunity to draw close to HIM.

Every day that we have on earth, we wake up to the compassionate, unfailing love of our FATHER in Heaven.

Today, let us resolve to turn to our FATHER with all our hearts, with all our minds, with all our souls and with all our strength.

We may not have tomorrow!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I humbly thank YOU for YOUR amazing grace, compassion and faithfulness.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Advice for Christ followers!

 Dearest Christ followers, I am so guilty when I read this.

James gives us such good advice on how to be more like Jesus.  And that is something we should always pray for.

Today, let us think on the advice given in the verse above and let us firstly act in love and with love to all whom we meet.  Jesus loves us all and HE must be our example. 

Secondly let us be quick to listen to others, in every instance, before we start on our own conversations.

Then lt us be slow to speak, thinking and choosing our words carefully.  Always prayerfully.

And lastly let us be slow to anger and wrath.  For this is of the devil.  Anger and wrath make the devil happy and are harmful to us as Christ followers.  Always let us pray about every situation where we feel anger.

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I am able to read YOUR word daily.  FATHER today, I humbly pray that my soul may heed these words. I pray that I will be loving to all whom I meet.  Let me be attentive to what people say.  Let me be slow to speak and slow to anger. I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Our FATHER is greater than anything!

 Dearest Christ followers, what a weekend we have had!  Firstly, that dreadful stabbing in Sydney and then closely followed by the tense period of waiting for the bombing on Israel.  My deepest and sincerest sympathy to all those who lost loved ones.  To all the people of Israel, the American soldiers and the British soldiers who had to endure the night of angst, my prayers were with them all. 

However, our comfort is that we serve a GOD who is greater than anything.  Our FATHER has a divine plan for this world.  We do not have to know at which juncture of HIS timeline we find ourselves to know that we are in the best hands.

Our FATHER has overcome the world.  

What we need to do is to lean into GOD at this time and trust that HE knows the outcome of it all.

Our FATHER loves each one of us, and HE is greater than all of this!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that through it all, YOU are with us.  YOU will never leave us nor forsake us.  We trust YOU FATHER and we adore YOU.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

True repentance!

 Dearest Christ followers, I have it on my heart to write about true repentance and what it actually entails and means for us all.

In the verse above, believers are called upon to repent and turn again.

And that is exactly what true repentance must look like.  It is not asking the LORD to forgive our sins and then continuing in the same sins over and over again and asking for forgiveness each and every time.

That is not what true repentance is.  True repentance is where the HOLY SPIRIT has convicted us of the sins that we have committed.  And we are truly remorseful and do not wish to continue with our sinful ways.  

What that means is that we completely turn from those sins, show true remorse, humble ourselves before our FATHER and ask HIM to graciously forgive us of these sins.

It means that we are sorry for the people that we have harmed through our sins. It means that we are ashamed that we were so sinful.

If those emotions are not there, we are not remorseful and we fully intend to carry on sinning in the same manner again and again.

What we need to understand is that our FATHER reads our hearts.  HE knows our thoughts. And if we are truly remorseful and turn from our sins, HE not only forgives us, but HE blots our sins out completely.

However, if we return to the same sinful ways, were we ever truly remorseful?

The answer must be - not.

So today let us examine our lives and see where we have sinned.  Let us then resolve to ask GOD to forgive us and to turn away from those ways - forever.  

Does this mean that we will not sin?  No.  But it should mean that we do not commit those same sins again.  We are born sinful and our flesh wages war with our souls.  Sometimes the flesh wins, but it should not win in a war won already for us by JESUS who has paid for our sins in full, - when we are truly remorseful.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU that YOU graciously sent Jesus Christ to die for our sins and to pay the price in full.  Today, FATHER, I humbly ask that YOU fill me anew with YOUR Holy Spirit and convict me where I have sinned and not shown true remorse.  I humbly ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, my REDEEMER.  Amen.

All to the glory of GOD!

Dear Christ followers, we need to live our lives in such a manner that we bring glory to GOD.  This is our purpose in life. 

We are representatives of Jesus Christ on earth.  We have a responsibility to JESUS to live our lives in such a manner that shines the light of Jesus on the earth.

Yes, we are frail and sinful.  Yes, we constantly face trials and temptations.  Yes, we have difficulties in many areas.

But let us consider the enormous sacrifice Jesus made for you and I and then ask ourselves - do we show Jesus the gratitude that HE deserves for HIS mercy and HIS love lavished on us?

So, today, let us resolve to ask GOD daily to make us more and more like Jesus.  Let us ask GOD for opportunities to show HIS glory on earth.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU for YOUR grace and YOUR mercy and YOUR love.  FATHER show me how to live to YOUR glory.  Give me opportunities to shine YOUR light on this earth.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Messenger - Jesus Christ!

 Dearest Christ followers, the coming of Jesus was foretold many times in the Old Testament.

A lot of the prophecies were relevant to the particular time of the Bible, but also foretold of the first and second coming of the LORD.

This is why we can be sure that our SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST, indeed, came to earth as a man and fulfilled all those prophecies. And it also foretells of the second coming of Jesus Christ. 

Jesus will come to this earth to rule and to reign.  First, I believe, HE will come to fetch all believers in the clouds and take them with HIM to Heaven whilst the tribulation takes place.

Then HE will return to this earth and all believers shall return with HIM to reign on earth for a thousand years.

All of this is going to happen.  The point is, are we ready to go with HIM at a moment's notice?  If not, then let us repent, believe and be saved - ready to go to Heaven at any time.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU that YOU have given us YOUR word that YOU will come to this earth again.  FATHER, help me to be ready to go with YOU at any time.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Heaven or Hell!

 Dearest Christ followers, we are all promised eternal life.  Our FATHER does not lie.  And this was promised to all of us before time began.

The point is not that we have eternal life, the point is, where are we going to spend it.  And here is the rub.  There is only Heaven or hell.  The choice is ours.

Repent, believe in Jesus and spend eternity in Heaven, or continue in your unbelief and set your compass to spend eternity in hell.

Choose JESUS today!

There is no work to be done to get into Heaven.  JESUS did it all on the Cross.  Jesus has paid for the punishment that we should receive for our sins.  What we have to do is to accept this free gift of Grace, given on the Cross through the blood of our SAVIOUR, freely given to you and me.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, good and gracious, loving and merciful, thank YOU for JESUS CHRIST and the way to Heaven.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of JESUS CHRIST.  My Saviour, my Redeemer.  Amen.

A new heart for GOD!

 Dearest Christ followers, we need to be so grateful to our FATHER in Heaven for all that HE has done for us.

When we accept Jesus Christ, when we have repented, GOD sends HIS Holy Spirit to live in us.

The Holy Spirit brings with HIM the promise of comfort.  HE is our ever-present help in times of trouble.

But more than that, the Holy Spirit starts to work in us to create a new heart, a heart for GOD.  The Holy Spirit convicts us when and where we sin.  The Holy Spirit changes our hearts and makes them more compassionate and makes us more like Jesus and less like the world. 

That is why each and every day we need to remember to ask GOD to fill us anew with HIS Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is working in us.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today, I humbly ask that YOU fill me anew with YOUR Holy Spirit.  I ask that YOU overwhelm me with YOUR Holy Spirit.  I ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Everything belongs to our FATHER!

 Dearest Christ followers, in this beautiful verse, we are reminded that everything in Heaven and on the earth, including the earth is the property of our FATHER in Heaven.

Therefore, our FATHER should be exalted above and on earth.  Our FATHER not only created all of this, HE let us have the earth to live on and to reign over.  

What we need to do is to give our FATHER all the glory, the majesty and the power.

Today, let us stop and consider whether we give our FATHER the glory HE truly deserves.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, who art in Heaven, truly Hallowed by THY name.  THY kingdom come, THY will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

FATHER, we give YOU all the power, the glory and the majesty today.  We humbly pray all this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Saved by grace through faith!

 Dear Christ followers, we have been saved by the GRACE of GOD through our faith in Jesus Christ.

There is nothing we can do to be saved.  We can only believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of GOD, our Redeemer, our SAVIOUR.

Grace is freely given by GOD to everyone who calls upon the Name of Jesus Christ as their SAVIOUR.

Grace is not given to us because we are good people, or because we have earned it.  It is free gift of GOD to all who accept Jesus as the Messiah.

Therefore no one can boast that they have somehow earned their way into the grace of our FATHER.  Therefore today, no matter what you have done in the past, no matter how much you sinned, you can repent, believe in Jesus and be saved and you will become a child of GOD.

It really is that simple!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU that I believe in Jesus Christ as my LORD, my SAVIOUR and my REDEEMER.  I humbly thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Our ALMIGHTY GOD!

 Dearest Christ followers, our GOD loves each one of us.  And once we have accepted Jesus, we are children of GOD, co heirs of the Kingdom of Heaven, along with our SAVIOUR, Jesus Christ.

Through the blood of Jesus, we are presented to GOD sinless and blameless and justified.

If we give our will over to the WILL of GOD, GOD is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think.

The power of GOD can work in our lives as soon as we surrender our will to HIS.

Today, let us resolve to ask only according to the WILL of GOD.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for giving me a SAVIOUR - JESUS CHRIST. I thank YOU.  Today I humbly ask that THY Will be done in my life and not my will. I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Be completely humble!

 Dearest Christ followers, this is such a beautiful exhortation by Paul.  We should all take this to heart.

We are living in such dark times and people are experiencing so many challenges on so many fronts.

Many of us are battling something or another.  Either on personal or in business, there are so many areas that are unclear and worrisome.

However, as children of GOD, despite all that we are dealing with, we still need to remain completely humble and gentle.  Being patient with one another and bearing with one another in love.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for reminding me that I need to be humble and gentle.  FATHER please help me to be more and more like Jesus each and every day.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

 Dearest Christ followers, in this passage above Paul writes that as people of the light, we need to live as people of the light.  We need to produce only what is good and righ and true.

Whilst we are born sinful, we cannot accept Jesus Christ as our LORD and SAVIOUR, and then continue in our old sinful ways.

We will always be sinners on earth, but we can sin less.  We can start by repentance of our sins and asking our FATHER in Heaven to fill us with HIS Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sins and we will be called to repentance whenever we sin.

What we need to do is to concentrate our efforts of becoming true children of GOD.  We can stop and think, when we are tempted, and ask ourselves what Jesus would do.

That should always be our barometer.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I am YOUR child.  FATHER please fill me anew with YOUR Holy Spirit and convict me when I am tempted to sin.  I humbly ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Pray always!

Dearest Christ followers, we are to pray always and about everything.  GOD loves us and GOD wants a living, loving relationship with each and every one of us.  Prayer is communing with our FATHER in an intimate way.

Our prayer connects us to GOD and grows our faith.  Only through prayer can we our relationship with our FATHER stronger.

Prayer gives us the time to talk to our FATHER to tell HIM how much we love HIM.  It gives us a chance to tell HIM our thoughts.  It is an opportunity to ask for forgiveness where we have sinned.  Prayer is also the mechanism through which we can make known our requests to our FATHER.

And yes, our FATHER knows what we need, but HE still wants us to ask HIM so that where our prayer is answered, it can give glory to our FATHER.

Prayer is about glorifying our FATHER through our own free will.  It is the basis for growing our faith.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are always listening to my prayers.  FATHER I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  I humbly thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

A work in progress!

 Dearest Christ followers, we are all a work in progress once we become children of GOD.

What we need to do daily is to build our relationship with our FATHER in Heaven through prayer, daily reading of our Bibles and learning to let GOD have HIS will in our lives, rather than doing things in our own wills.

If we fully surrender our lives to GOD, we will ultimately be complete in Jesus Christ.  But we are human and frail, and we want things in our time and in our way.

Every day we therefore need to ask GOD to fill us anew with HIS Holy Spirit.  We need to pray for GOD's will to be done and not our will.

We need to learn to defer to GOD about each and every aspect of our lives.  That we give our FATHER the chance to complete what has begun in our lives when we believed in Jesus Christ.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I am YOUR child.  FATHER fill me anew with YOUR Holy Spirit.  FATHER, I pray that THY will and not my will be done in my life.  This I humbly pray in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The full armour of GOD!

Dearest Christ followers, as this world grows dimmer and darker, we need to have the full armour of GOD to be able to withstand the wiles of satan.

We need to have all the tools of a Christ follower to be able to contend with anything that comes our way daily.

We need to be equipped with the following:

• The belt of TRUTH.
• The breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS.
• The readiness of the GOSPEL of PEACE.
• The shield of FAITH.
• The sword of the SPIRIT- the WORD of GOD.
• The helmet of SALVATION.

This is what Paul writes in order for us to be prepared for the onslaught that we are facing.

For it is as he says : "we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and the powers against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places".

Be prepared and ready to stand strong in Jesus Christ. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I can don YOUR full armour on a daily basis.  FATHER help me to stand strong each and every day.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
