The Word became flesh

 

We know that Jesus is GOD because in the beginning, the entire universe was spoken into existence.

Here John confirms that Jesus is GOD.  Because John tells us that the Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.

John confirms that he saw the glory of the one and only Son of GOD, Jesus Christ, who came from the FATHER, full of grace and truth.

John was called to be a disciple of Jesus, an Apostle, and John was witness to the teaching, the persecution and the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  John saw that Jesus never once retaliated in the face of His impending torture at the hands of His tormentors, never once said anything that was not full of grace under tremendous pressure.

And we are so blessed to have this testimony of an eye witness to the life of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Today, if you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and your Saviour, I would implore you to read John.  John tells of our redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ. 

John was there.  John was a credible witness.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that the disciples of Jesus, recorded their eye witness accounts of the life on earth of my Lord and my Saviour, Jesus Christ.  

I thank YOU ABBA FATHER, that through this we can be sure that our faith is not without hope.  

I humbly thank YOU for YOUR grace and your mercy in giving a sinner like me, the chance to redeem my sins through the blood of Jesus Christ.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
