Obedience counted as righteousness!

 Joseph the husband of Mary and the earthly father of Jesus was obedient to the LORD.  Firstly, Joseph, when Mary was found to be with child was of a mind not to marry her.  But the LORD sent an angel to Joseph and Joseph listened.  Then Joseph was told to take the child and go to Egypt when Jesus was new born.  Joseph listened.  Then Joseph was told to take the child to Nazareth to fulfil the Scriptures, and he did.

Are we obedient to the voice of our FATHER in Heaven?  Do we listen? Or do we do whatever we want?

Today, let us reflect on why things seem to be hard.  Is it just because we do not wait on the LORD and follow HIS commandments?

We need to resolve to be better at praying, waiting to hear from GOD and then being obedient to HIS commands.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I humbly ask that when I pray, YOU grant me the patience to wait for answers from YOU.  I pray that I may be as obedient to YOUR commands as Joseph and Abraham.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
