Bread of life - the WORD of GOD

 Jesus was tempted in the wilderness by satan.  He had fasted for forty days and forty nights.  This is beyond my imagination.

I have great difficulty fasting for 2 hours.

Now Jesus was faced with satan promising to turn the stones into bread.  So Jesus answered him and gave the verse above.

This is true for us today.  We need to feed off the bread of life.  This is the Word of GOD.

When we starve our hearts and our minds of the Word of GOD, our hearts harden towards GOD.  And to be faithful to GOD, we need our hearts to be soft towards HIM.

This is accomplished by a daily feeding off HIS Word.  

Let us today resolve to start reading the WORD of GOD each and every day.  Not only that, but let us subscribe to daily Bible verses if we have them.  Let us want to read what GOD is telling us.  This will make GOD so much more accessible to us.  When we understand HIM and HIS nature and more importantly, HIS plan for our lives.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that we have access to YOUR WORD.  Help me each day to want to read YOUR WORD.  Help me to hunger for it.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
