I sometimes cannot get a Hymn out of my mind. And today it is "When I consider all the works THY hands has made"
And this Psalm embodies that Hymn. GOD sees in us what HE has created. When we look at ourselves, we want to change this or that or the other.
Actually what we are doing is insulting what GOD designed for us to be.
We are made in HIS image and we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Growing up, I never understood the meaning of the words "love ourselves". But as I have grown older and perhaps a little wiser, I now understand that I am made in the exact way GOD wanted me to be.
In order to honour GOD, I need to love myself. Not in a boastful way, but to love myself, as a child of GOD. To love what GOD has blessed me with.
Today, take a little time and consider what GOD made when HE created you and I. And then spend a little more time loving that which our FATHER created. It is in praise of our CREATOR FATHER!
Prayer: ABBA FATHER, thank YOU that YOU made me. Thank YOU in the Holy name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
