The trappings of sinners!

We are warned in Proverbs that there is life after death.  And in order to make the right choices on earth, we need to consider our eternal life rather than the things of this world.

It is easy to be deceived into thinking that this world is all we will ever have.  But the sad truth of the matter is that this world we live in and the lives we are leading are so fleeting in comparison to our eternal lives.

Therefore, in consideration of our eternal lives, we need to be "in the world" but not "of the world".  We should not be envious of the sinners of this world.  The people who appear to have all the things that we would like, creature comforts, luxuries, etc.  Rather we should be zealous for our FATHER In Heaven.  Storing up treasures for our eternal life rather than goods and chattels here on earth.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, Thank YOU that I have the hope of eternal life with YOU in Heaven.  Please keep me from wanting to live a sinful life on earth.  I pray this in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
