Dear Christ followers, in order to know GOD and to better understand HIS Will for our lives, we can do a few things. We can do this by praying, by reading the Word of GOD and by fellowshiping with other Christ followers.
But the most important part of being a Christ follower is to hear from GOD in order to sustain our faith. When we read the Scriptures it is vitally important that we slow down and digest the Word of GOD.
Here in the passage above, Jesus quotes from Deuteronomy 8. Where the people were given manna in the desert to eat.
Moses was giving the people the law and he uttered that exact verse to them.
This was a command given to the people then, and Jesus re-iterated it. But it still holds good for us today.
We need to eat, but we also need the Word of GOD to sustain us completely. The Word of GOD sustains our faith.
Prayer: ABBA FATHER, today I thank YOU that I can live on YOUR Word and read it freely. I thank YOU for YOUR daily sustenance of my faith. I humbly thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
