Faith by hearing the Word of GOD

Dearest Christ followers, when we believe in Jesus Christ, this is faith.  But we need to constantly grow our faith to "keep" our faith.

We can do this by listening to the Word through sermons or discussions or fellowshiping.  

It also comes through placing our trust in GOD and to learn to know and to understand the nature and character of GOD.

GOD is unchanging and GOD is dependable.  GOD is Holy and Trustworthy.  GOD never leaves us nor forsakes us.

Jesus has gone to Heaven to prepare a place for us, and because HE went, HE will come back for us.  That is our eternal promise.

Grow in faith through hearing the Word of GOD today!

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I can hear YOUR Word through my Bible and through my prayers.  I thank YOU for growing my faith daily.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Hope in the LORD

Dear Christ followers, our hope is in Jesus.  There simply is no other.  When we place our hope and our trust and our faith in Jesus, we can be assured that we are in a living, loving relationship with our FATHER and Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)."

But one day we will see our FATHER in Heaven and we will be with Jesus forever.

What we need to do is is to continue to run the race of life, knowing that we have Jesus to run for us whenever this life gets too much.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I can put all my hope, my trust and my faith in YOU and that YOU will carry me through the trials of this life.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Redeemer.  Amen.

Our CREATOR FATHER!

Who is like our FATHER in Heaven?  Who can lay claim to ever having made a planet or a galaxy or a sun or a moon?  Who can make something from nother?

Only our FATHER in Heaven.

And whilst we fret and worry on earth about the things of this earth, our FATHER has the perfect plan for our lives.  HE has an eternal plan for our planet and, indeed the heavens and the earth. And we can partake of the plan HE has for us all into eternity. 

All we have to do is to put our hope and our trust and our faith in our FATHER in Heaven.  But there is a proviso.

We cannot simply pray to GOD unless we are in Christ.  When we accept Jesus Christ, through the redemptive blood of Jesus, we are justified and can approach our FATHER who made all things in Heaven and on earth.

So today, if you have not done so, get right and accept Jesus Christ as your LORD and SAVIOUR.  Repent and have direct access to GOD our CREATOR and our FATHER in Heaven who loves us all.

There is no other way. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU gave us the Heavens and the earth.  I thank YOU that YOU sent YOUR Son Jesus Christ to be my Redeemer, and to give me life eternal with YOU. I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Guarding us from evil!

 Dearest Christ followers, I am not sure if I speak for most of you, but I am finding it increasingly more difficult not to see evil all around.

We have "your truth" and "my truth" when we know that the only Truth is Jesus Christ.

We have hatrid all around and we know that as children of Jesus we need to love.

We are hearing of atrocities left, right and centre.  We are hearing blasphemy at every turn.

I know this sounds awful, but we can take comfort.  Jesus Christ will protect us from evil.

Our faith in Jesus will strengthen us through the Holy Spirit who dwells in you and me.

And lastly Jesus is faithful.  HE has promised us that HE will never leave us nor forsake us.  And we know that all the promises Jesus has made, HE has manifest in our lives if we consider all the blessings we have.

Today let us take refuge and strength from our LORD, our SAVIOUR, our REDEEMER.  And let us tell satan to get behind us where he belongs.  We are children of the CREATOR FATHER GOD!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I can cry out to YOU and find strength and comfort and safety in YOUR loving arms.  I humbly thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Blessed be the GOD and FATHER of our LORD Jesus Christ.

 Let us today sing the praises of our GOD and FATHER in Heaven.  Let us bow down and worship HIS Holy Name.

In HIS great mercy, HE has delivered us from evil.  Through a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, we have salvation.

What a Gracious, Holy, Merciful, Glorious FATHER we serve.

Our FATHER, who made the Heavens and the earth, loves you and HE loves me.  OUR TRIUNE FATHER, GOD, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, have planned a way for all to be saved.

Today, accept Jesus as LORD and SAVIOUR of your life.  Believe, repent and say yes to eternal life.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I praise YOU and I worship YOU today.  I thank YOU for YOUR grace and faviour.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Our Comforter!

 Jesus has never left us alone.  No not even one person needs to be alone on earth.

All we need to do is to believe that Jesus Christ is the Redeemer, the Son of GOD, our Saviour and repent.

We are then filled with the Holy Spirit who takes up residence in us. 

Jesus left us HIS peace and HIS peace is our Comforter.

No matter how hard life can seem, we need to daily feed on the Word of GOD and ask through prayers to be filled up with the Holy Spirit.

We are leaky vessels, fallible and easily distracted from where our love comes from.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU for the Holy Spirit which lives in me.  Fill me anew each day with YOUR Holy Spirit.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Repent

 Here in the verse above, Joel talks about turning to the LORD our GOD.

This is so much more true for Christ followers today.  In the Old Testament, the people had GOD.  But salvation was attained through the offering of sacrifices for atonement once a year.

Today, at any time and any where, we can repent and turn from our sins and we are instantly forgiven.

We do not have to make a pilgrimage to a Temple and take with us our sacrifices.  We can go down on our knees or simply stand or even sit and bow our heads and confess our sins.

GOD reads our hearts and if we are truly repentant, our sins are instantly forgiven.  No need to do anything further to get to salvation.  

We are truly blessed through the Redemptive Blood of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, spilled on that Cross to save us from our sins.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I can repent anywhere and anytime.  I thank YOU for my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Word of GOD!

 Dear Christ followers, in order to know GOD and to better understand HIS Will for our lives, we can do a few things.  We can do this by praying, by reading the Word of GOD and by fellowshiping with other Christ followers.

But the most important part of being a Christ follower is to hear from GOD in order to sustain our faith.  When we read the Scriptures it is vitally important that we slow down and digest the Word of GOD.

Here in the passage above, Jesus quotes from Deuteronomy 8.  Where the people were given manna in the desert to eat.

Moses was giving the people the law and he uttered that exact verse to them. 

This was a command given to the people then, and Jesus re-iterated it.  But it still holds good for us today.

We need to eat, but we also need the Word of GOD to sustain us completely.  The Word of GOD sustains our faith.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I thank YOU that I can live on YOUR Word and read it freely.  I thank YOU for YOUR daily sustenance of my faith.  I humbly thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Do not worry!

 Jesus told his disciples not to worry about their life.  But if we are true believers in Jesus Christ, this holds true for all of us today.

Our lives seem to be a never ending series of events that make us worry about the things of this world.

Jesus knows our hearts and Jesus knows our needs.  What we need to do is to do our best and leave the rest to Jesus.

This is often easier said than done.  But through prayer and through the reading of the Bible, we can teach ourselves to put our lives in the Hands of our Lord and Saviour.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I thank YOU that YOU know my needs and I am therefore leaving all my needs to YOU.  I have done my best FATHER and now I am trusting only in YOU.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

My hope is in the LORD!

 Dear Christ followers, our only hope should be in the LORD.  The LORD gives us everything and has given us everything.  Without GOD there would be nothing.

GOD loves us and that is why we love.  Because HE loved us first.

GOD gave us our earth and our heaven.  GOD gave us and gives us life.  GOD sent HIS Son to make a way to be forgiven from our sins.

GOD gave us language and speech.  A way to communicate with others around us.

GOD wants a living, loving relationship with each of us.  All we have to do is to take GOD's permanently proffered Hand and accept Jesus as our Saviour.

Today let us place all our hope in GOD who is everything and has given us everything.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, my hope is in YOU.  I am so grateful to be a child of YOURS.  Thank YOU FATHER.  I wait for YOU.  I humbly thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Love!

 Dearest Christ followers, this is one of my favourite verses from the Bible.  It covers such a great deal in such a beautiful way.

Do we really love one another as Jesus loves us?

So let us go through the verse and break down what Paul said to the Corinthians about love.

Love is patient - are we always patient with those we claim to love? Or indeed are we patient with all people we meet, as Jesus is.

Love is kind - are we kind to all the people we meet, and not just to our family and friends?  Indeed are we kind in the truest sense of the word?

Love does not envy - do we envy?

Love never boasts and is not proud - can we say this honestly in all instances of our lives, or are there times we are proud or boastful/

Love does not dishonour others - are we guilty of dishonouring others?

Love is not self- seeking - are we?

Love is not easily angered and it keeps no record of wrongs done.  Are we easily angered and do we keep a tight record of people who have wronged us.

I am afraid that we are all probably a little guilty here or there and we probably all fall drastically short of the description of love above.

However, we are so blessed to have Jesus Christ, who forgives us when we repent where we have fallen short.

Today, let us consider our lives and where we are guilty on the above points, let us ask Jesus to forgive us and to guide us towards having the love that Paul speaks of in the passage above.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for my Redeemer Jesus Christ.  Please FATHER help me to be truly loving to all the people I know and all the people that I meet.  Forgive me where I have not shown true love.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus stands knocking on our door!

 Jesus, after HE had preached the beatitudes went on to say that anyone who asks will receive.

A lot of people use this verse out of context.

What I believe it means is that if we ask Jesus to come into our lives, HE will.

If we knock on the door to have Jesus let us in, HE will.

What we have to do is to ask and to knock and we shall receive forgiveness of our sins, knock on the door of salvation, and we shall be let in.

However, when we ask, we must be prepared to receive the Holy Spirit and the faith that comes with accepting Jesus as our LORD and our SAVIOUR.

We must be prepared to turn from our old sinful lives and to learn to know Jesus each and every day and in each and every way.

No longer can we continue in our sin.  And this does not mean we will not sin.  We are natural born sinners.  But we should start to see ourselves sin less.

Today ask and receive, knock and the door will be opened unto you for a life in Jesus Christ. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU that I have asked and received Jesus as my LORD and my SAVIOUR.  I humbly thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD's forever promises!

 Our FATHER in Heaven is always faithful and true to all the promises and covenants HE has made.

GOD promises us that Jesus will come again. During the life and times of Jesus on earth, He fulfilled more than 300 prophesies of the Old Testament.  This testifies to the faithfulness of our FATHER in Heaven.

And our FATHER has promised us that HE is sending Jesus to this earth again.  

Not only that, but when we get to Heaven, there will be no more tears, and we will be safe in the arms of our FATHER and we will spend forever together.

GOD has promised us a new heaven and a new earth.  

These promises are not yet fulfilled, but every day we are one step closer to the fulfillment of these promises.  Are we ready to received Jesus again?

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I thank YOU for YOUR promises.  I thank YOU for all the blessings that I have received from YOU.  FATHER help me to be fully ready to receive Jesus if HE comes today.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Give thanks to the LORD.

 Today, dearest Christ followers, we need to give thanks to the LORD.  Our FATHER is indeed good and gracious and kind and merciful and just, but most of all HOLY.

Let us give thanks and praise to our CREATOR FATHER in Heaven, who made the heavens and the earth and all that is in them.

Let us give thanks and praise that our FATHER sent HIS Son to die for our sins.

While we are about giving thanks and praise, let us forgive those people who have sinned against us as our FATHER forgives us.

Let us also prayerfully prayer for those people in Israel and the innocent people in Palestine, none of whom wanted or asked for this violence of the war that has started.

Let us pray for the leaders in this war to have restraint and to pray before they act.

Let us pray to GOD for compassion and love and mercy.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I thank YOU for all my blessings.  I thank YOU for my family, my friends, my home and my possessions.  I thank YOU that YOU sent Jesus to die for my sins.  FATHER forgive my sins as I forgive those who sin against me.

FATHER today we pray for all the leaders of the world to be brought to know Jesus and HIS love and HIS compassion.  We pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Our LORD, our SAVIOUR, our REDEEMER.  Amen.

Blessings from GOD

 Dear Christ followers, we indeed serve a Magnificent loving FATHER.  Our FATHER will bless us with all the good things we need to be able to abound in good work.

What we need to do is to serve our FATHER with reverence.  We need to have a living and loving working relationship with our FATHER and we need to pray to HIM to show us the good works that HE has lovingly prepared for us to do.

Then GOD will bless us abundantly with all the things we need at all times to be able to do HIS good works.

And please remember, it is not by good works that we get to Heaven.  It is by faith alone in Christ alone that we are saved.  Then we need to repent to start afresh with our FATHER and serve HIM in faith.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for my abundant blessings.  FATHER show me today how I can serve you better with all that YOU so abundantly blessed me with.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Narrow is the way!

 Dear Christ followers.  Are we truly going through the narrow gate?  Have we truly repented of our sins?  Have we stopped our habitual sinning?

It is a fact that we are all sinners, but when we accept Jesus, the Holy Spirit living in us will convict us when we sin.

We cannot simply continue on the path that we were on before.  We need to prayerfully ask GOD to fill us anew daily with HIS Holy Spirit.

Then we need to be truly repentant.  

It would be dreadful to get to Heaven only for Jesus to say "I never knew you".

Today, let us resolve, if we are not right with GOD and we have not repented, to do so immediately.  We may not have tomorrow.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER thank YOU for Jesus Christ.  My LORD, my Redeemer.  Thank YOU FATHER that YOU love me so.  I adore YOU FATHER.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD is HIGHER than anything!

 Dearest Christ followers, we are reminded by GOD that HIS thoughts and HIS ways are higher than anything we can ever imagine.

Although we are made in the image of GOD, we cannot ever attain to think as our FATHER in Heaven thinks.

We may plan here on earth, but if we plan without asking GOD it is almost assured that our plans will fail, because we are not privy to the plans of our FATHER in Heaven.

We do have a reference point for our understanding of our FATHER and that is through the Bible.  The Bible is our guide to living a God inspired life.

The more we read and understand and learn about our FATHER the more we can understand that we are indeed extremely frail and fragile compared to GOD.

We are easily distracted and way laid but our FATHER is none of those things.  Our FATHER has a master plan for us all and that is a plan of salvation.

We are given a number of days on earth and we need to use them wisely and to come to know GOD and to understand GOD as best as is humanly possible.  Then we need to tell others about the salvation that we have received through our faith and our belief in Jesus Christ as our LORD and our SAVIOUR,

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU have paved the way for eternal salvation for all peoples on earth who accept Jesus Christ as LORD and SAVIOUR.  FATHER show me how to be more like Jesus and how to spread the news of the salvation.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Glory of GOD!

 If we ever want to witness the Glory of our FATHER in heaven all we need to do is to get to an area where you can truly see the stars.  The Heavens truly declare the GLORY of our FATHER in Heaven.

To think that all of this was created from nothing by our FATHER is truly astounding. 

Day after day, the Psalmist tells us, they heavens pour forth speech.  Night after night they reveal knowledge.

This Psalm truly reminds us of the Magnificent FATHER we serve.  

Our FATHER loves each one of us and in these very dark days, we need to know that we are well loved by a FATHER who is much bigger than any of the problems on earth right now.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, as I survey the work of THY HANDS in the Creation, our earth and the Heavens, I am so humbled.  All I can say is Thank YOU FATHER that YOU created all of this.  Thank YOU that YOU love me.  I humbly thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Run the race!

 Dearest Christ followers, we have very little time left on earth if we are able to see the signs.  Now is the time to spread the Gospel.

There are many people who can still be brought to Jesus.  All we each have to do is to tell someone.

If every one tells one, that will be great.

I recall the story the of the young woman walking along a beach early in the morning and picking up the starfish which had been stranded over night by the lowering tide.  A man walked up to her and asked if she really believed she could make a difference.  Looking at him, she bent down, picked one up and threw it back into the sea.

Then she said to the man "I made a difference to that one".

This is what our aim should be be.  To make one Christ follower, who hopefully tells one other.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER as our time on earth draws to a close, let us be acutely aware that there has never been a better time to show the Light of Jesus on this ever darkening world.  FATHER put someone in our paths that we can share the GOOD news with.  This I humbly pray in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

THE LORD's Time!

 Our FATHER in Heaven has promised us that HE will give us a new Heaven and a new earth.  When the time is right. 

There will be no need for the light of the sun or the light of the moon, because we will live in the Light of Jesus and our FATHER in Heaven.

This chapter of Isaiah the prophet is a prophesy about our new heaven and our new earth.

We also need to remember that our FATHER created time, space and matter.  All things belong to HIM.

With our FATHER His timing is absolutely perfect.  What we need to do in the meantime while we wait on our FATHER is to spread the good news that we can all be in the heaven and the new earth together with our FATHER if we will accept and believe in Jesus Christ as our LORD and our SAVIOUR.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU have promised us a new heaven and a new earth.  I thank YOU that I have my life on earth to spread the good news about Jesus Christ.  FATHER show me how I can better spread the news and give me the opportunities to do this.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Take up your cross and follow Jesus!

 Dear Christ followers, if we want to follow Jesus, it does not free us from the troubles of this world.

This is what Jesus says when HE says we must deny ourselves, take up our crosses and follow Jesus. 

Our troubles, trials and tribulations will always be with us.  Being a Christ follower will not diminish this, but it will give us a peace in whatever situation we find ourselves.  A peace that will guard our hearts and minds.  A peace that will surpass all understanding.

What we have to do is to give all our troubles over to the LORD in prayer, knowing that our FATHER in Heaven loves us.  Knowing that our FATHER in Heaven is listening to us.  But most of all, knowing that we have salvation for eternity because we follow Christ.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I love YOU and I thank YOU that I am able to take up my cross, deny myself and follow YOU.  I humbly thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The same attitude as Jesus!

 Dear Christ followers, when we accept Jesus as our LORD and SAVIOUR, we know that when we repent, we are forgiven of our sins.

However, it is not a "once saved always saved" situation.  We cannot continue in our sins of the past.  This does not mean that we will not sin.  It means those sins which are habitual need to be attended to.  We cannot carry on in our sin and think we are saved.

If the Holy Spirit is not convicting us when we sin, we are in very simple terms, not believers of the work that CHRIST did for us on the Cross.

We will still be sinners.  But we need to be conscious of our sins and repent, if and when we sin.

Simply put, Peter says we are "done" with sin.

So how do we sin less?  We need to form a living, loving relationship with our FATHER in Heaven, and constantly ask HIM to fill us anew with the Holy Spirit who will convict us of our sins.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I humbly come before YOU and thank YOU for my LORD and SAVIOUR, Jesus Christ.  FATHER fill me anew with YOUR Holy Spirit who can convict me of my sins and bring me to repentance when I sin.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Cast all your anxiety on Jesus!

 Jesus loves you and me.  Jesus came to die that we might live.  When we worry, we disrespect that work that Jesus did for us on the Cross.

So today, if you are upset or worried or anxious about anything, cast your cares on Jesus.  The peace of GOD which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds.

The way that that you cast your worries on Jesus is to pray.  Pray to Jesus and know that loves you.

There is no way that Jesus dies for us if HE does not love us.

Only such a love as Jesus has for you and I would cause HIM to die for us.

Believe that Jesus loves YOU.  Then pray and ask GOD to take care of all your anxieties.  The peace will overwhelm you!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I can pass all my anxieties over to YOU and this in the assurance that YOU will guard my heart and my mind with YOUR peace which transcends all understanding.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Rejoice always!

 In this passage above, Paul encourages his readers to pray constantly and to give thanks to the LORD in all circumstances.

This is a very serious message for all Christ followers to take to heart and to put into practise.  We need to pray about everything.  We need to take all our worries, all our doubts, all our decisions to the LORD in prayer.  But we need to do so whilst giving thanks to the LORD for all that HE has so graciously given us.  We need to thank the LORD that we can take all of our needs to HIM.  We need to thank the LORD for making the way for us to talk to HIM directly through the work of Jesus.

Today, let us make this our prayer habit.  Give thanks to the LORD before we get to our list of "requirements".  Give thanks to LORD in all circumstances!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are my all in all.  I thank YOU for all that I am, all that I have and all that YOU are to me.  I humbly thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Bless the LORD!

 Dear Christ followers, do we bless the LORD?  Or do we continually pray for blessings.

I believe that we can always learn from the Psalms.  Here in the Psalm above, King David reminds us to Bless the LORD.

Our praise of our FATHER in Heaven should be continually in our hearts, our minds and on our tongues.

Without our FATHER, we would not have anything or be anything.  There would be no earth, no Heaven, no sun, no moon and certainly no human beings.

Today, let us praise and bless our FATHER in Heaven, who loves each one of us and who wants all to be with HIM in Heaven one day.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I bless YOU as I thank YOU for loving me first.  FATHER I give YOU my heart, my soul, my body and all my love.  YOU are my all in all and I humbly thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess!

 Jesus has been exalted by GOD to the highest place and HE has been given the name that is above every name.

One day, at the name of Jesus Christ, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is LORD.  This will be done by every single person who has ever lived.  Whether dead or alive, whether in Heaven or in hell.

You can choose whether or not you accept Jesus as your Saviour.  But one day, you will not have the choice anymore.  But you will still bow and confess Jesus as LORD.

Why not accept Jesus today as your LORD and your SAVIOUR?

For me personally, it is the best decision I have ever made.  I know that when I die, I am going to be with the LORD.  This takes a lot of the anxiety out of my life.  

You can do this too.  Believe in Jesus, repent of your sins and be saved from an eternity in hell.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I choose Jesus Christ as my LORD and my Saviour and my Redeemer.  I humbly thank YOU for this free gift of salvation.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Divine power of Jesus!

 Peter opens up this letter by acknowledging the glory, the Divine Power and virtue of Jesus Christ.  We too, as Christ followers need to know that we have been called into the Divine Power of Jesus Christ.

Jesus came to call all to be saved.  Jesus came to die so that all may be saved.  Jesus came to this earth because HE loves us all.

All we have to do is to accept this amazing sacrifice that HE made on our behalf.

When we are believers in Jesus, we are co heirs with HIM to the Kingdom of Heaven for eternity.

What we need to do is to accept this free gift of salvation and then tell others about it.

We do not need to be afraid to do this, because when we witness to others, we are doing it in the power of Jesus.  Jesus who will never leave us nor forsake us.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER I thank YOU for the amazing gift YOU have given to me.  FATHER show me where and how I can pass this gift on to others.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Believe in Jesus - make Heaven your eternal home!

 Dear Christ followers, there are two certainties in life, death and taxes. We are all going to die.  That is a given.  And it is only a matter of when.

We can die today, tomorrow, next week or in a few years and perhaps in ten or twenty or thirty or forty years.  But we are certain that we cannot live on this earth forever.

When we die, do we know where we will spend eternity.  Because our souls live forever and cannot die.

The only way to get to Heaven is through Jesus.  This is not negotiable.

Jesus tells us in John 14:6 "I am the Way the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the FATHER except through me".

There is simply no way to get to Heaven except that we accept Jesus as the Son of GOD who added humanity to HIS deity and was born of a virgin mother, lived on earth and remained sinless.  HE took all our sins onto that Cross of Calvary and was the propitiation for our sins. He died, rose on the third day, thus conquering death and ascended into Heaven and sits at the right Hand of GOD our FATHER.

This is way to Heaven - only through faith in Jesus Christ.  

As Christ followers, we have been given a mandate to go into the world and preach the Gospel.  Now we may not all be preachers, but if we are not, we can preach to our children, our family and our friends.  We do not even have to preach, we can simply tell them about the love of GOD who sent HIS only begotten Son to die for our sins. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ that I am co heir with Jesus Christ.  FATHER help me to tell people about the love that YOU have for all of us on earth.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The compassions of our LORD are new every morning!

 Dearest Christ followers, our FATHER in Heaven truly loves us and HE wants us to be in a living, loving relationship with HIM.  

As the prophet Jeremiah writes, Our FATHER's compassions never fail and they are new every morning.

Each and every day we are blessed to be on this earth, we have the opportunity to get "right" with GOD.

We can fall on knees and worship our FATHER and thank Jesus for their great and unfailing love for us.  

We can be filled anew each and every day with the Holy Spirit who lives in us.  We can start afresh with GOD and we can grow our relationship with our HOLY GOD in Heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOUR love is unfailing.  FATHER I humbly pray that each and every day, I appreciate YOUR great love for me.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Obedience to Christ Jesus!

 Dear Christ followers, we need to realize that there really are evil forces out there.  Now whilst we may think we are living Christian lives, have we examined our thoughts.

For the thoughts we think are known to Jesus.  So when we think bad thoughts, what we need to do is to take those thoughts captive and to hand them over to Jesus.

It is no good thinking that we reading the Word, praying and going to church and then having bad thoughts, because GOD reads our hearts and minds.

When bad thoughts come into our mind we need to recognise them and take hold of them and cast them out immediately.  Do not give credence to them or they may take hold and cause us to sin.

Paul cautions above that we bring such thoughts into captivity immediately and to the obedience of Christ.

What we can do when such thoughts enter our heads is to pray the Lord's prayer or recite a favourite Hymn immediately.  Recite a favourite Bible verse - this also helps and then pray to Jesus to help for those thoughts to never return.  But we must act.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are in my life.  FATHER help me to control my thoughts and to take bad thoughts captive immediately and to deal with them in YOUR MIGHTY and HOLY NAME.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Our FATHER the author of peace!

Our FATHER is the author of peace.  Our FATHER created the garden of Eden for Adam and for Eve to have the perfect life.

Adam and Eve sinned and were cast out of the Garden of Eden.  Thus began our trials and tribulations.  But this was not the way GOD ordained it.

So GOD formulated a plan whereby we can have peace again in Heaven with HIM one day when we die or we are raptured. 

Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  If we accept Jesus Christ as our LORD, our SAVIOUR, our REDEEMER, we know that when we die we can spend eternity with our FATHER in peace and tranquility.

But we need to accept Jesus Christ and we need to turn from our sinful ways.  We need to ask GOD to forgive our sins and we then need to try to not sin again.  This is hard, because we live in a fallen world. 

However, our FATHER reads our hearts and if we are repentant, we are assured of our salvation.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I thank YOU that YOU ordain that our lives with YOU can be peaceful and tranquil.  Thank YOU that YOU made a way for us to get back to YOU.  I humbly thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
