Do not worry!

 Dear Christ followers, we are not to worry about anything.  Jesus told HIS disciples categorically not to worry.  HE gave so many examples of the way that GOD takes care of us.

Consider the lillies of the field, the birds and the manner in which GOD has arrayed the lillies and provides food for the birds.

Indeed, our FATHER has given us the earth to grow food on, oxygen to feed our lungs and to grow things.  Rain to water our food.  The entire universe, GOD has made.

And if our FATHER can do all that, HE can certainly provide for our needs.  What we need to do is to have faith that GOD will provide.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, thank YOU that YOU have given me everything I need to survive on earth.  Thank YOU for all the blessings YOU have so graciously bestowed on me.  I humbly thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Watch and pray!

 Dear Christ followers, we do not know when Jesus is coming to fetch us.  It is therefore vitally important to be right with GOD.

If we have unrepented sins, let us ask GOD to forgive us.  If we have been at loggerheads with anyone, let us put our situation right by asking for forgiveness.

Jesus will come back.  That is a certainty.  And we need to be ready to go at any time.

Our faith needs to be strong at all times.  We need to work on growing our faith and we need to work on knowing and understanding the nature and character of GOD.

This can all be achieved through regular prayer about every aspect of our lives.  Daily Bible readings give us an enormous insight into the nature and character of our FATHER in Heaven.

Fellowship with like-minded Christ followers and just talking about Jesus grows our faith.

Then, lastly, we need to ask GOD to constantly fill us up and overwhelm us with HIS Holy Spirit, who will convict us of our shortcomings.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that YOU fill me anew with YOUR Holy Spirit.  Overwhelm me with YOUR Holy Spirit so that my faith grows daily.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My LORD, my REDEEMER.  Amen.

Judge not!

 Dearest Christ followers, we are not immune from judgement.  And therefore we need to be extremely careful in judging others.

Here, in the passage above, Jesus spoke about judgement.  We need to note that should we judge others, the same measure will be used against us.

Therefore, it is very important that we do not judge others, but leave the judgement up to GOD.

It is all too easy to cast our opinions of others in light and flippant manner.  But we need to keep in mind, that if we do not wish to face the same judgement, we are not to judge others at all.

I am extremely guilty of this and therefore we need to repent of the times we have judged others and to be more mindful in the future of not judging others.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that I am able to repent and be forgiven.  Today, FATHER I humbly repent of the times I have judged others.  Please forgive me and let the Holy Spirit convict me when I pass judgement to repent immediately.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Pray always!

 Dear Christ followers, the message today is loud and clear.  We need to pray always and about everything.

Communion with GOD is not something we can afford to neglect.

We are living in such troubling times and things are growing darker for the world.  Our best defence against the attacks by satan is prayer.  Consistent and fervent prayer.  About everything and all the time.

That is the way we build our faith and that is the way our hope remains strong.  Let us be about our FATHER's business.  HE may return at any moment.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU that YOU are always with me.  I thank YOU that I am able to pray to YOU and tell YOU all my thoughts and my hopes.  I thank YOU that YOU are always listening to me.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Are we listening to GOD?

 This verse in Samuel is very relevant to us today.  Are we listening for the voice of GOD?  Do we know the voice of GOD?

Our FATHER can speak to us if HE wishes to do so.  But if we do not know the voice of GOD or if we are not listening for the voice of GOD, how will we hear HIM?

The best way to hear GOD speaking to us is through prayer or through the reading of our Bibles.  But it is no use praying and then not waiting for GOD to answer us.

GOD can answer us in many ways.  Sometimes through silence as well.  Because our FATHER knows that when we ask for things that are not going to be in our best interests or are not according to HIS will, the answer is silence.

Sometimes GOD answers us in the Scriptures.  We may have prayed about something, and GOD will then guide us through the verses we read. Sometimes GOD talks directly to us like HE did to Samuel. 

We should wait on the LORD and if HE chooses, HE will speak to us.  We need to be ready to hear HIM at all times.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU always hear my prayers.  FATHER help me to know YOUR voice and to hear YOUR voice through my prayers or through the Scriptures.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Meditate on these things!

 Dear Christ followers, we need to keep our minds pure as children of GOD.  And the devil uses our thoughts to entice us away from GOD.

This is why, Paul, in his letter to the Philippians advises that we are to think about things that true, noble, just, pure, lovely and of good report, praiseworthy.  Our thoughts need to be concentrated on good and not on evil.

In this ever-darkening world of ours, it is so easy to think about all the evil in the world.  But that is exactly what the devil wants of us.

So today, let us resolve to keep our hearts and our minds on the things that are praiseworthy.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that YOU help me to concentrate my thoughts on the good things rather than on all the evil in this world.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Children of GOD!

 Dear Christ followers, we are children of GOD!  We are no longer born of human will, but we are now co heirs with Jesus Christ.  This is a fact.

Once we accept Jesus as our LORD and SAVIOUR, and we have total faith that Jesus is GOD and Jesus is the SON of GOD and Jesus came to this earth, added humanity to HIS deity and lived a sinless life, we are in Christ.  We know that Jesus took our sins and paid the price on the Cross.  HE died, rose again on the third day, conquering death for us.  HE ascended into Heaven and sits at the right hand of our FATHER.  Jesus is coming back to this earth.  That is the promise of GOD. 

We know this and we know that nothing can separate us from the love of GOD.  

When we are in the faith, the Holy Spirit lives in us and convicts us of our sinful ways.  Past and present.  However, we need to repent and to turn from our sin and move away from it in the opposite direction.  No longer are we to be the people we were before.  We cannot continue in the same manner as before.  There needs to be meaningful changes in our lives that lead us to sin less.

This is how we know that we are children of GOD.  

If we are not changing and desiring to know GOD more and not living lives that are reflecting the love of Jesus, we are slipping away.  The writer of Hebrews warns us that we should slip away, nor drift away.

It is vital that we grow our faith.  We do this through constant prayer.  Praying to GOD about every aspect of our lives.  We grow our faith by fellowship with like minded Christ followers.  We grow our faith through constant reading of the Bible.

Signs of slipping away will be evidenced in our desire to know GOD, our prayer life, our fellowship life. 

Today, let us resolve that we are going to be far more ardent in our walk with GOD.  Let us bow down, pray, worship GOD and give all the glory to GOD.  Let us ask GOD to fill us anew with the Holy Spirit.  Let us ask GOD to overwhelm us with HIS Holy Spirit.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I thank YOU that I am YOUR child.  FATHER I humbly ask that YOU fill me anew with YOUR Holy Spirit.  FATHER overwhelm me with YOUR Holy Spirit that I may grow in faith daily.  I adore YOU FATHER.  Thank YOU in the Holy Name of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Prayer!

 Dear Christ followers, we need to pray to our FATHER every day and about everything.  It is often so hard to talk to GOD.  Our prayers can be so self centred.  So when we find ourselves praying the same pray day after day, it is so good to go to the instructions of Jesus as to how we should pray.

Firstly, we need to give glory to our FATHER.  We need to thank HIM for what he has done for us and for HIS will to be done.  

Secondly we need to petition GOD to supply our daily needs.  

Then we need to ask GOD to forgive our sins, as we are sinful. 

We need to forgive others as we are forgiven.

Then we need protection from evil and from temptation.

And we go back to giving our FATHER the glory for HIS grace, favour and mercy.

Today, let us pray in this manner, albeit using our own words.  And let us set the format in always giving praise and glory to our FATHER, both at the beginning and the end of our prayers. 

Truly our FATHER is amazing!

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ for all YOU have done for me this past year.  I pray FATHER that YOU continue to bless me throughout the coming year.  Forgive my sins as I forgive all those who have sinned against me.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My LORD and my REDEEMER.  Amen.

The harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few!

Dearest Christ followers, Jesus has been to this earth and given HIS life on earth to pay the price for our sins.  We as believers of Jesus need to know that although we are saved and will have eternity with our FATHER in Heaven, there are many people who do not believe in Jesus as the Messiah.  

Anyone can be saved even wretched sinners like us. Therefore, we need to set examples of what a Christ follower should look like. 

We need to live lives that reflect the Light of Jesus on earth.  We need to pray and read our Bibles, we need to fellowship, but most of all, we need to love GOD above all else and we need to love the people on earth.

GOD loves everyone and everyone can be saved if they will accept Jesus as the Messiah.

Today let us shine the light of Jesus on earth and let us bow down and worship our FATHER in heaven and let us love each other as Jesus loves us all.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I worship YOU and I adore YOU.  FATHER help me to love others as YOU love me.  I pray this humbly in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Be patient for the coming of the LORD!

Dear Christ followers, the LORD is coming back to this earth.  This has been promised to us, and GOD is faithful to keep all HIS promises. We might also die before Jesus returns. None of us is guaranteed tomorrow. 

What we need to do is to be prepared and ready to meet with our FATHER in Heaven, at any time.

Here in the verse above, James tells us to be ready, but also to be patient.  Our FATHER has HIS perfect timing.  Although we can see the signs of the end of the world, it does not mean that it will happen today or tomorrow.  

James uses the beautiful illustration of a farmer waiting for the early and the latter rains to produce his crop.  So too, we need to be about our FATHER's business  whilst we are on earth. 

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that I am ready to receive YOU whenever YOU return to fetch me.  I humbly pray that YOU show me what YOU require of me on this earth that I should do before I meet with YOU in Heaven.

Our bodies are the Temple of the LORD!

Dear Christ followers, we have an obligation to our FATHER in Heaven to look after the bodies we have been given whilst we dwell on earth.  After all, when we accept Jesus as our LORD and our REDEEMER, Jesus lives in us.  The Holy Spirit comes to live in us.  

And it is not just about diet and exercising, it is about what we use our bodies for.  We need to watch not only what we do to our bodies, but what comes out of our bodies, especially our mouths.

It is not what goes into the body that defiles us but what comes out.  

Today, let us resolve to do better with our tongues.  Let us think about what we say and how we say it.  We are here to give glory to GOD.  When we speak, let us shine the light of Jesus on the earth through the words and the language we choose.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for the body YOU gave me to live in on earth.  Today help me to choose my words and my language more carefully so that I can shine YOUR light on earth.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Seek the LORD!

 Dear Christ followers, we need to seek the LORD's company on a day to day basis.  Our FATHER loves us and HE wants a loving relationship with us.

HE wants us to spend eternity with HIM.  HE never leaves us nor forsakes us.  It is us who leave HIM and do not spend time seeking HIM out.

Today, let us resolve to spend conscious time with HIM.  Let us resolve to pray more and read our Bibles more and to fellowship with like minded Christ followers more.

It is going to reap fruit if we will sew and store up treasures for ourselves in Heaven rather than on this earth, which is dying and will be replaced by our FATHER.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly pray that YOU fill me anew with YOUR Holy Spirit.  Overwhelm me and fill me up and I humbly pray that the Holy Spirit convicts me to spend far more time actively seeking YOU.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Let us thank GOD!

 Dear Christ followers, do we really and truly appreciate what our FATHER has done for us?

Not only did our FATHER give us the universe, including the stars, the moon, our solar system and everything on our planet earth, HE also gave us HIS only begotten Son to be punished for our iniquities. 

In other words, GOD has given us everything.  We are made in HIS image.  We are loved by HIM.  We have been given the earth to rule over.  And then we had HIS Son walk among us on earth.  Sinless, Jesus was cruelly tortured and died a horrible death on a cross so that we can have eternity with our FATHER.

As we look around this world, Christ is being rejected on a colossal scale.  How awfully sad our FATHER must be.  

Today, let us give thanks to our FATHER for all the good and wonderful gifts HE has given us.  But most of all let us give thanks for the love HE has shown to us and which is so often ignored.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I am so grateful to YOU.  I am grateful for the earth that I live on.  I am grateful for the sun in the day and the stars and the moon at night.  I am so grateful that YOU love me, even when I do not acknowledge and return this great love.  FATHER, today I thank YOU for everything YOU do for me and have done for me.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  My Redeemer, my Saviour.  Amen.

How faithful is our GOD!

 Dear Christ followers we serve a righteous, faithful, just, merciful and loving FATHER.  And here in the verse above, we can take this promise.

What are the commandments that we have to keep in order to please GOD?  And they are really quite simple, because all the other commandments follow from these two that Jesus emphasised.

We need to love GOD with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind.  Then we need to love one another as Jesus loves us.  And do not forget that Jesus died and paid for our sins and GOD loves us so much that HE sent HIS only begotten Son to suffer for our sins.

GOD wants us to love HIM and then to love one another as HE loves us.  If we can keep these two commandments, GOD is faithful to us.

Do we indeed, love GOD above all else on earth?  Do we love one another as Jesus loves us?

Those are the commandments which, if we keep them, GOD is faithful to us and merciful to us.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour and YOUR faithfulness.  I humbly pray FATHER that I am faithful in loving YOU above all else and in loving my neighbour as I love myself.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Seek Jesus with all your heart!

 Dearest Christ followers, we serve a jealous GOD.  Our FATHER has given us everything and HE wants each of us to want a living, loving relationship with HIM. 

HE has given us everything.  The universe, the earth, the oxygen we breathe. HE  finally sent HIS only begotten Son to die for us so that we might have life eternal with HIM. 

What we need to do is to seek our FATHER with all our hearts.  We need to know GOD intimately.  

But in Jeremiah, GOD promises that if we seek HIM with all our hearts, we will find HIM.

This is not a half hearted command.  GOD commands us to seek HIM with ALL of our heart.  Then we will find HIM.

Today, are we searching for Jesus with ALL of our heart, or only a little bit, or perhaps not at all!

Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that will be found if we seek YOU with all of our heart.  I humbly thank YOU for YOUR grace in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Gratitude to GOD!

Dear Christ followers, I am so grateful to our FATHER in Heaven.  HE is faithful to us through our lives.  We need to constantly look around us for all the miracles.  They are everywhere.

HE blesses us in so many ways that do not even notice. 

We get wrapped up in our lives and we get caught up in doing things and then we do not see what is right in front of us.

What we need to do is to wake up and thank the LORD for HIS blessings each and every day.  We need to go to bed at night and thank the LORD for what HE has done for us that day.  

Before we eat, we need to stop and thank the LORD for our food.  When we go somewhere we need to pray and then thank the LORD that we arrived safely.

Often we miss the miracles because we are just so busy doing life.  But this life is fleeting and we need to be storing up treasures in Heaven.  Gratitude to our FATHER is the best way to appreciate the faithfulness of our FATHER.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU in JESUS Holy Name for all the blessings YOU bestow on us daily.  Even the ones we do not see or recognise.  FATHER YOU are so faithful.  Thank YOU.  Amen.

Behold GOD is my salvation!

 In this modern world it is becoming increasingly difficult as a Christ follower to trust what is happening around us.

There is "your truth" or "my truth", and nothing appears to be as we were raised to understand.

However, through all of this our FATHER is completely trustworthy.  GOD keeps HIS promises and GOD has given us salvation, which HE promised to us in the Bible.

As long as we trust in GOD, we have strength to know that we can face this world head on and keep our moral compasses pointing due north.

Our truth is JESUS Christ.  JESUS is the ONLY TRUTH.  JESUS is the ONLY WAY.  JESUS is the ONLY LIFE.

Besides JESUS there is no other way to get to GOD. That is the strength we have through our faith and through the absolute faithfulness of our FATHER in Heaven.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU that YOU are my strength and my salvation.  I trust YOU FATHER and I humbly thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  I pray this in the Holy Name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.

GOD is our refuge!

 Dearest Christ follower, we are indeed so blessed to know Jesus.  With Jesus we have the sure knowledge that GOD is our refuge and our strength.

Today, I had the privilege to talk to a Christ follower.  He said to me: "I see miracles each day and everywhere!"

To which, I must say, I could confidently say: " So do I".

GOD never ceases to amaze me with what HE can do.  HIS power and majesty are evident if we will open our eyes and see them.  

  As Christ followers, serving the ALMIGHTY FATHER and CREATOR of this universe, we have nothing to fear. All we have to do is to put our faith and our hope and our trust in Jesus.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER I thank YOU for YOUR strength and power in my life.  I thank YOU for all that YOU are to me and for being my all in all.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Do not fear, GOD is with you!

 

When we truly start a lasting committed relationship with our FATHER in Heaven, we cannot but realize the magnitude of the GOD we serve.

Our GOD is bigger than anything we can ever imagine.

Our GOD calls out the stars at night.  He calls each one by name.  Our GOD can tell us the number of hairs on each of our heads.  Our GOD knows each and every one of us, even those who do not know HIM.

With GOD in our lives, whom shall we fear?

Today, if you find yourself in any situation where you feel dismayed, call on GOD.  HE can strengthen you and help you and uphold you with HIS righteous right hand!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I graciously thank YOU that YOU are with me always.  I humbly thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

That I may dwell in the house of the LORD!

 Are we ready to meet with the LORD?  This is something we need to be very sure of!

Salvation through Jesus Christ is only available to those who have accepted Jesus as their Redeemer this side of the grave.  There are no second chances or do overs.

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as LORD and SAVIOUR of your life, you cannot do so when you have died.  It is too late.  Jesus is the Way, the only Way.  Jesus is the Truth.  The only Truth.  And Jesus is the Life - eternal), the only Life.  

Today, if you have not accepted Jesus as LORD and SAVIOUR of your life, do not hesitate.  Make a decision.  You may not have tomorrow!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU that I know that Jesus is my LORD and my SAVIOUR.  My Redeemer lives.  Amen.

Do not lose heart!

Dear Christ followers, today one of our dearest sisters in Jesus went to be with Jesus for eternity.

This is a very sad day for her family and her friends.  We will miss her dearly.  However, the comforting thing is that she knew Jesus.  She was confident of her salvation.  Her SAVIOUR, she knew, was waiting for her in Heaven.

So, whilst we mourn and grieve the loss of this beautiful lady, we are comforted by the fact that we all know that she is now out of pain and suffering and safely en-sconsed in Heaven with Jesus.

It is a reminder for all of us not to dwell on the things that are so bad on earth, nor the things of this earth, but rather to concentrate on the unseen things, the hope of eternity with our ABBA FATHER in Heaven.

Rest in peace, Jackie Kimber.  You were an inspiration to all who met you, all who knew you and most of all, all who loved you so dearly.  You are missed and we are heartbroken.  But you ran the race so bravely, fighting every step of the way against innumerable odds, and you have won the race!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, we thank YOU for the eternal gift that YOU have bestowed on all who believe in Jesus and repent.  Thank YOU for the life of Jackie whom we selfishly grieve so much.  We humbly thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Hold fast to the hope set before us.

In Jeremiah 29:11 we find a prophetic message and it goes along the lines of "for I know the plans I have for you. Plans not to harm you but to prosper you. Plans to give you hope and a future".

This is one of the Bible quotes most often used out of context.  It is so often used to promote the "prosperity" gospel. 

GOD did always plan to give us hope and a future.  We are sinful and we can never atone for our sins and guarantee our redemption.

GOD's plan was to send HIS only SON to die in our place and take our sins onto a Cross and HE was punished for all our sins.

GOD has given us the sure hope that if we believe in Jesus Christ as the Saviour of the world, if we accept Jesus and repent, when we die on this earth and go to be with our SAVIOUR, we will spend eternity with HIM in Heaven.

This is the advice given by the writer of Hebrews, that we hold fast to this hope of eternal salvation!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for the hope of salvation that I have in Jesus Christ.  I pray that YOU help me to grow my faith daily.  Fill me anew with YOUR Holy Spirit and overwhelm me with YOUR Holy Spirit.  This I humbly pray in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Behold I will do a new thing!

 Dear Christ followers, we serve an ALMIGHTY and powerful FATHER.  HE can do anything HE wishes.

In HIS amazing kindness and love for us, HE has granted us each our free will.  And we have this in abundance.  Most people choose to use their free will to their own advantage.

However, as children of GOD, we need to use our free will to serve our Mighty FATHER in Heaven.

When we serve the LORD we need to do HIS will.  Our will should not come into the equation at all.  

This is a very hard thing to accept, but in truth, to give the Glory to GOD, we need to die to self and to ask GOD that HIS will be done in our lives, rather than our will.

This is the way to eternal life and happiness.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU can do anything and have done amazing miracles in my life and in the lives of many around the world.  Today I humbly pray that YOUR will be in my life.  Fill me with YOUR Holy Spirit and show me the way YOU want me to live my life to give YOU the glory.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus died for our sins!

When Jesus came to this earth, HE added humanity to HIS deity.  JESUS is GOD!

Jesus died without sin on a cross, taking all of our sins and being punished for all the sins we have committed.

As children of GOD who have accepted Jesus as our LORD and SAVIOUR, we simply cannot go on sinning.  It is as if we crucify Jesus all over again.  If we are truly filled with the HOLY SPIRIT, we are convicted by the HOLY SPIRIT every time we sin and we should not continue in our sinful ways.  

GOD knows that we are born sinful, but here, the writer of Hebrews is talking about habitual sin.  

If, for instance, we are given to sinning in a particular manner, repentance means that we recognise our sin and that we turn away from it.  

This does not mean we will not sin again.  What it means is that our habitual sin should now be actively on our minds.  In the knowledge that it is wrong, we pray to the LORD to help us to keep from sinning in the same manner.

If we are not convicted of our sins, it is a sign that we have not truly repented.  

Let us examine our lives and see where we habitually sin and task ourselves to be convicted not to keep doing it again and again. 

Children of GOD are not sinless, we should sin less as our faith grows!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for JESUS CHRIST, my LORD and my SAVIOUR.  FATHER fill me anew with YOUR HOLY SPIRIT and I humbly ask that the HOLY SPIRIT convict me every time I sin.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

The Glory of the LORD!

 The Glory of the LORD will be established on earth.  In the meanwhile, whilst we wait for the return of Jesus to this earth, we need to know that GOD keeps all HIS promises.

Every prophesy of the Messiah coming to the earth to die as a propitiation of our sins, has been fulfilled.  The prophecy that Jesus will come again and that HE will  rapture HIS Church has not yet been fulfilled, along with the prophesy of the rebuilding of Jerusalem.

However, let us be in no doubt that these events will take place.

What we need to do is to be ready to receive Jesus when HE comes.  Whether HE returns now or in the future.

Are you ready?  If not, then it is time to believe in Jesus and accept HIM as LORD and Saviour of your life.  Repent and be saved.

We may not have tomorrow!

Do not be conformed to this world!

 Dear Christ followers, as children of GOD we have repented of our sins.  This means we have done a one hundred and eighty degree turn from our sinful lives.

Having faith in Christ and the promise of eternity with GOD in Heaven, we now need to no longer be conformed to this world.

We need to renew our minds and look ahead to storing up for ourselves treasures in Heaven rather than on earth.  No longer can we be living the lives we once used to live.

Now our focus needs to be on our salvation and the salvation of those around us.  We need to worry about serving the LORD and not our "old desires and lusts".

The things of this world should grow strangely dim as we seek to know our FATHER better and form a better more sustainable relationship with HIM.  

Today let us resolve to grow our faith and let us ask our FATHER to indwell us and to overwhelm us with HIS powerful HOLY SPIRIT.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU for saving me from my past sinful life.  I pray that today you overwhelm me and indwell me powerfully with YOUR Holy Spirit.  I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

I lift up my soul to YOU!

My soul belongs to the LORD!  HE is my refuge and my strength.  In HIM alone I place my trust.

And what a privilege it is to be able to call our CREATOR GOD, my FATHER.  

Without Jesus in my life, my life is meaningless and empty.  As my walk with the LORD grows and grows, the things of this world grow strangely dim.

Today I am truly thankful to be child of GOD.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER thank YOU that YOU are my FATHER.  Thank YOU for loving me despite all my sinful ways.  Thank YOU for saving me through the blood of JESUS.  I am so grateful to YOU for everything YOU have done for me.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

YOUR word is a lamp for my feet!

 Our FATHER has given us the Bible.  It is GOD inspired, inerrant and it is the Truth.

It is an instruction manual for life and how to live our lives and how not to live our lives.

The Bible is meant to be our "google" for every problem or every situation that we face.

I have found that the best way to read the Bible, if you have never done so, is cover to cover.  Once you have done that at least four or five times, you can then go to the New Testament and do John first.  It is such a wonderful reference to use when spreading the Gospel. It confirms from the first verse that Jesus is GOD and the Word and the Truth and the Way and the Life. 

My favourite chapters of the Bible change constantly, but Romans is my "go to" book for reading and learning the nature and character of GOD.

I often quote Romans in my writings for my family.  I particularly love Romans 10 verses 9 and 10:

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."

Then Romans 8: 28:

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."

But truthfully the Bible can light up our world, particularly in these ever darkening times.

Read it dear Christ followers.  And read it often.  It really does give comfort and reveals the nature and character of our FATHER in Heaven!

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, today I thank YOU that I am able to read YOUR word and allow it to be a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Every good gift is from GOD!

 Dear Christ followers, we are so blessed and so priviliged to be children of the MOST HIGH GOD. 

Our FATHER never changes.  HE is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  With our FATHER we always know exactly where we stand.  HE is Holy.  HE is loving.  HE is forgiving.  HE is longsuffering.  HE is slow to anger.  HE is merciful.  He is kind.  He is just. 

Nothing about GOD changes from generation to generation and HIS promises stand.

We can be very certain that Jesus will come again because Jesus came to this earth the first tim,e and it is promised by GOD that HE will return to this earth.

We can be sure that the rapture will take place.  Regardless of whether you believe that this will be pre, mid or post tribulation.  It will happen.

With all of this knowledge, we start to see the character and nature of the FATHER whom we serve.  And our desire to be with HIM for eternity should grow daily as we see the world around us changing as it grows darker and darker.

Let us thank our FATHER that we are HIS children and let us grow in our faith daily through our prayers and the reading of HIS Word.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU that YOU are my FATHER and I worship and adore YOU.  I know that YOU are faithful and that YOUR word is true.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

GOD - ALPHA and OMEGA!

Dear Christ followers, firstly may I wish you all the most Jesus blessed New Year.  I trust that our FATHER will remain uppermost in your hearts and minds.

I have found over the past years that my faith has grown exponentially as I have learned to understand the magnitude of the CREATOR GOD we serve.

As I have understood how I am being refined by our FATHER, I have also come to understand how much refining I needed and how much more I probably still need.

But through it all our CREATOR FATHER has been merciful, loving and kind.  I am eternally grateful to our FATHER for what HE has done in my life.

With that said, I truly wish you all the same depth and breadth of love that I feel for GOD.  HE is my all in all.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I thank YOU for the way YOU have refined me over the last years.  I thank YOU for being the ALPHA and the OMEGA.  I thank YOU in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
