Dearest Christ followers, we are all called to repentance. This repentance cannot merely be a saying sorry to GOD for our sins. It means that we turn away from our sins completely. That we change our minds regarding the sins we are committing. Whatever the sin is, we need to be truly remorseful.
Our hearts need to change and this can only happen through the conviction by the Holy Spirit.
If we do not feel convicted of our sins, we are not filled with the Holy Spirit and we need to go back to the beginning.
Do we really want Jesus as our Saviour?
Are we born again?
Do we really know GOD?
We simply cannot go on sinning in the same ways we have been doing.
Please do not get this wrong. Will we stop sinning completely? Very likely not in this world. But should we continue in our sinful ways? Absolutely not.
We need to know Jesus, to be filled with the Holy Spirit, to repent and if we are convicted, then we need to be baptized - fully immersed in water and born again.
Prayer: ABBA FATHER, we thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour. FATHER convict me anew with YOUR Holy Spirit. FATHER show me where I am still sinning and help me to repent. FATHER I humbly pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
