Dearest CHRIST followers, we really need to take note of this verse if we want to become more like JESUS.
Let us consider this instruction that Paul wrote to the Corinthians.
Love is patient and kind. Are we always patient and kind?
Love does not boast or envy. It is not arrogant or rude. Again, how do we fare here?
It does not insist on its own way. It is not irritable, or resentful and it does not keep a record of wrongdoing. Are we guilty of these traits?
Love rejoices in the TRUTH. Do we adhere to this?
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
What about this last sentence, how are we doing here?
Today, let us resolve to memorise this verse and put it into practice in our lives as much as we can.
Prayer: ABBA FATHER, I fail so miserably when I weigh up my behaviour against these standards. FATHER, help me to be more and more like JESUS who is all of the above. I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST. Amen.
