Be Holy!

 Dearest CHRIST followers, we are called on to be HOLY, to live in peace with everyone.

We are warned that without holiness, no one will see the LORD.

Therefore, how can we live HOLY lives?  

The first thing to do is to repent of our sins.  The next thing we need to do is to grow our faith. We can do this by getting to know and understand the nature and character of our FATHER in Heaven.  We can read the Bible.  We can fellowship with other Believers.  We can become more Holy by being more like JESUS.

Daily, we need to ask GOD to fill us anew with the HOLY SPIRIT.  The HOLY SPIRIT will convict us of our sins.  The HOLY SPIRIT will guide us to be kind, patient, slow to anger, joyous and to live temperate lives. 

Without the indwelling of the HOLY SPIRIT, we will struggle to get to a state where we are considered HOLY.

Now, dearest friends, we are born sinful.  But we can sin less.  When we sin, the HOLY SPIRIT will show us the error of our ways, and we can repent. 

Please do not confuse repentance with remorse.  Repentance is a turning away from our sin and not sinning in the same way. It includes remorse.  But it is far more.  It is a resolve not to do the same thing again.  This comes about because we begin to understand that our sin has consequences.  Often those consequences hurt others around us.  

Those consequences can also hurt us and have far reaching results.

Today, let us ask our FATHER again to fill us anew with the HOLY SPIRIT.  Let us ask our FATHER daily to make us more like JESUS.

Prayer:  ABBA FATHER, I humbly thank YOU for YOUR grace and favour.  FATHER fill me anew with YOUR HOLY SPIRIT.  FATHER make me more like JESUS today.  I humbly pray this in the HOLY name of JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.
